Charlton News - Dowie will not sign Diao after seeing him train as the player looked tried and lack skill. Liam Miller will join for £1.3m, while Murphy and Routledge will sign for £2.5m. Dowie is also in talks with Sorin as the Queudrue deal is looking unlikely. Isaksson will have talks before Dowie goes to spain and Lupoli will join on loan with a view to a £1.6m move. My friend works in the clubs office and deals with most of the paper work.

Tomorrow, the 27th off july, is the day that Liverpool F.C. must prove to the council that they have the money for the new stadium or else lose the £20 million for Stanley Park. Last week Rick Parry said that the new stadium will go ahead and that there is no reason to panic. Obviously he know´s something we don´t and that is that Liverpool have indeed the money for the stadium.
Behind the scenes there´s much been working on the take-over. The Kraft-family has taken over the club. It will be revealed when all the transfers are done so Liverpool don´t have to pay over the odd for the players they want.
With Kraft taken over he also puts some friends on the board. He also has big plans to generate more money. One item that will be closely looked at is to expand the merchandising. Kraft thinks that Liverpool can get millions of pounds from America regarding merchandising. He also knows some big companies that would like to get involved with Liverpool F.C. only because Kraft is being seen as one of the honest, good, quieltly and most reliable businesspartner in America.

This apart there is money made available by the board after the dismal showing in the friendlies & after Strachan embarassing them in public by talking of re-signing 37yr old Dion Dublin. No disrespect to him, but we aspire for better & younger player.

Liverpool officially signed a deal for Jermaine Pennant today, putting an end to the 'smokescreen' jargon that Liverpool fans have been insisting upon in their desire for Alves of Sevilla. Meanwhile, last year's failed Liverpool object of desire, Simao, will be transferred from Benfica to Valencia within 24 hours as the teams haggle over the last 2 million Euros. I am a security guard at Melwood and picked up the following pieces of information today. A medical is booked for Dirk Kuyt on Saturday. But there was an insert on the form stating 'if Kuyt is unavailable then the medical will be for Klaas Jan-Huntelaar', leading me to believe everything is agreed with Ajax if Feyenoord keep taking the michael. One more piece of info I heard is that Dudek is in talks with Harry Redknapp and a deal will be agreed shortly.
I returned from my holiday in Majorca a couple of days ago and as I was walking through Palma airport, who did I see going in the opposite direction? None other than free agent Sol Campbell. This, along with the disparity in strength of Sterling has driven Liga clubs to fight to retain their players and to hold strong to their high valuations of Liga talent.
