Dedryck Boyata is a target for both Bolton and Burnley with City allowing him to leave for first team football

Doubt Bolton will get their fingers burnt a second time.

28 Jul 2013 21:47:49
Reading are rumored to be in for Luciano Becchio, The former Leeds striker has had an unsuccessful period at Norwich and moves further down the pecking order with Gary Hooper joining the canneries.

Doubt it. We only have 3 strikers. Would have to sign at least one and probably two more

It means building a squad, having options in case of injury's - suspension, just because we have RVW & Hooper don't mean we have to get rid of Becchio.

Further down the pecking order to No. 3. Remember Norwich released Jackson and sold Vaughan to hudds, so they have 3 proper strikers left

Leeds fans, Sheff Utd fan coming in peace.

I have heard that all is not well at your club. I don't know if it's the manager that is unhappy or there's been a fall out somewhere, but McDermott has told close friends that he isn't sure if he can take Leeds forward and "feels let down".

Sorry I don't have more than that at the moment but I have been reliable in the past with news on McCormack joining you, and Paddy Kenny.

McDermott is a good manager but when Reading were taken over, he almost quit until he got assurances he didn't have to sell to buy, and the new owner would let him do his job with no interference. From what I'm hearing, that's exactly what he's found himself with at Leeds.

Good luck next season btw. Hopefully you can go back up!

SheffStew80

It ties in with what Bates said today that the new owner is making all decisions; transfers in and out etc.

Leeds midfielder Sam Byram is a £4m target for Crystal Palace. Reading, Newcastle and Swansea have also been linked with the 19-year-old.

Kieran Trippier is a better bet, in that he has more experience under his belt to transfer into the PL

The asking price for him is nearer to £8m, which would rule out Palace

£8m you reckon, blimey I thought £4m was high.

Why would Swans want another midfielder especially as he has no premier experience. More media crap again. {Ed001's Note - I thought Byram was more of a right back? Certainly played there when I have seen him.}

29 Jul 2013 12:06:56
Byram is a right back, Leeds might think he's worth eight million, but only worth what another club wants to pay, four million seems bit high for him, I've seen him when Brighton have played Leeds, our wingers run passed him as if he was not there, like this sat day hopefully!

29 Jul 2013 21:12:18
So your implying that he's no good? When he's made zaha bale Lennon Jarvis and many more players look mediocre. He's a promising player and resembles a lot of bale. But a right sided bale. Bale started off as a left back and was pushed forward by rednap hopefully bmd will do the same with byram and maybe the 8 million price tag will double

30 Jul 2013 08:37:01
Correct I am yer, like you say mate he would be better on the wing, not right back,

30 Jul 2013 09:46:16
A player is worth what their club values them at, not what a club wants to pay. What a ridiculous thing to say.

Surely if zaha was worth 15 million and bale 85? then byram should be worth 8 easy?. come to think of it I think he still has those 2 one in each pocket?

28 Jul 2013 20:07:59
Celtic close to signing Dutch left winger Derk Boerrigter from Ajax according to the dutch media, should be done early this week before the elfsborg game.

Watford striker Britt Assombalonga is set to sign for Peterborough

Don't make me laugh. Got 3 or 4 years left on his contract and is seen as a future first team striker. He would only be signed as a loan.

28 Jul 2013 21:53:14
I am sure that's what the poster means, a good move for all parties involved.

He's not going to leave other than loan

Seen this daft rumour pop up a couple of times. Is it The Posh version of the Hogg joke?

Ppl read and think before replying to a post.
Yes Britt has signed a lengthy deal.
But signing for Peterborough can mean as a loan.
I believe he will go out again as the new signings are just class and unfortunately for him that means very limited opportunities.
KH

Assombalonga, Ikpeazu, Mensah & O'Nien will all be loaned out by Watford.

Assombalonga has 1 year left on his contract. :/ something the club should sort out soon :)

Assombalonga signed a new 5 year deal contract last season.

Signed this morning

Bet the Watford fans feel silly now.

And now has signed for The Posh

Assombalonga joins posh, thanks watford

You all sound rather stupid now don't you and to top it all Britt actually WANTED to come to Posh

31 Jul 2013 11:14:20
Just signed for the posh on a four year deal some very silly looking post on this thread now. Just proves that the fans really know nothing. Haha {Ed001's Note - the original poster obviously knew something though.}

Jokes on u

All of the watford fans who are saying "ooh, he'll be this or that, ooh he's the best thing since sliced bread" feel a bit stupid now. too top it off, they're now saying "good luck, he wasn't in our 1st team plans anyway" LOL.

31 Jul 2013 16:49:45
fair enough we didn't see this coming, we thought a season or two of loaning out then hopefully breaking into the first team, good luck to the lad and good luck to the posh next season

Just because he will be a good striker, does not mean he is part of our first team plans. The two are not mutually exclusive. Frankly, this comes as a surprise to Watford fans because we would expect him to have been loaned out for a couple more seasons; in fact, Darren Ferguson said himself that he was expecting it to be a loan but his chairman came up with the money. either way, good deal for Watford and Britt, although I think Peterborough may have been slightly ripped off. We'll see.

28 Jul 2013 19:50:15
Sam Vokes to Bournemouth. Not Ebanks Blake

Burnley would only let Vokes go if another striker was brought in and with the Austin saga still ongoing none of our strikers will be allowed to leave

Vokes? Or perhaps Charlie Austin? We all know he wants a move back south and Eddie is his mentor. {Ed003's Note - If he wanted the move back South as every Bournemouth fan keeps saying why did he have a medical at Hull failed or not.}

Been hearing this all weekend

Good point Ed003, its Austin's girlfriend that would prefer a move back south but i'd imagine that when she found out about the wages a newly promoted prem club could offer then a move even further north didn't sound so bad after all. {Ed003's Note - What would we do if we had the option of signing a contract for a couple of years on big bucks even if the place wasn't ideal ? no brainer for me. ££:)££

Without a doubt Ed003, especially now they have a child, money talks so they say {Ed003's Note - you should register your name you seem one of the few who can hold a conversation without giving abuse}

Thomas heading the other way maybe

Done, cheers Ed003 {Ed001's Note - Austin wants to play in the Prem, by the way, first and foremost, not move down south. The money is a huge plus, but Hull weren't offering huge amounts, he just wanted a shot at the top flight.}

29 Jul 2013 00:55:25
This was about Vokes, not Austin. That's unlikely. Vokes rumour has legs.

Every Bournemouth fan? You sure?

Come on now Bournemouth have been linked with all burnley strikers Vokes, Austin and Ings. They are getting none of them, only player likely to head back there to Eddie is Bartley.

Up until now Eddie has only splashed out money on players he has previously worked with. He now needs to leave his comfort zone and sign to sign this striker!

Bartley won't come back to Bournemouth while Eddie Mitchell is still the chairman considering Bartley forced a move away and left on a sour note

01 Aug 2013 15:10:04
Just like lots of Managers. Likes certain players & knows them. Nothing wrong with wanting to sign players you know & trust. Love to see Vokes with Pitman at DC

28 Jul 2013 19:35:32
charlton to sign simon church on a one year deal, no one else

Its a real shame as charlton being a well grounded club should be aiming to try and push on to the premier league, but we are constrained by the lack of money we have

After he missed a bundle of chances at ebbsfleet.

I am an optimist but I need closure on some fronts
i want jacko, solly, kermy, hamer, hollands, cousins, green, stephens, morrison and smith to sign long deals with us.
then I want a striker i'm thinking someone who gets 10 goals for us which using logic is buying us 3 wins.
next I want attendnaces to be above 20 000 a game
then I want transparency with the ownership, however the world is not ideal but anyways aup the addicks

Agree with you optimist, good shout nice to read something positive instead of all the droll on the forums

28 Jul 2013 18:42:41
Bristol City have had a 400k offer to loan Billy Sharp for the season accepted - with view to a permanent move also part of the deal. The potential move is now in Sharp's agent's and the club's officials' hands.

I can't see billy dropping back down to league 1 even for odriscoll, far too good for league 1 he proved that with scunny.

28 Jul 2013 21:50:34
Sharp won't move down two leagues. He's a class striker at least top end champ

The question is does Billy Sharp play week in week out at Southampton?
No!
Has Southampton loaned him out before?
yes!
who to?
Nottingham Forest last season!
who was at NF?
SOD!

I really do think there's something in this story.
Time will tell but we are in need of a Billy Sharp type striker.

we can afford him now with the sale of Davies.
Its just a case of if he wants to play for a manager he knows very well and has always played better under.

no brainer!

Watch this space guys.

Only reason he might not is that he's a bit of a wind up merchant, who has a bit of previous with many of the City faithful. I guess he's marmite though. Personally would love to see him at Ashton Gate

I can't see it, but then we said that with JET until he signed.

Stranger things have happened.

FYI. I don't think Sharp is dropping down two divisons as he is nowhere near getting a game at Saints, he isn't and hasn't ever been a real Prem striker.

28 Jul 2013 19:13:00
Bournemouth to sign James Constable

Who is this? and what baout ebanks blake

28 Jul 2013 20:21:52
Mega bucks team top signing, unless your short on stewards

He's a league one player at best

I very much doubt it. i'm sure if the right price was agreed there may be a chance I suppose, but if any deals were being looked at I would have thought something with Tubbs would have been discussed/arranged. But Tubbs is at Rotherham for 6 months (loan). So extremely unlikely and feel he is an important part of our campaign this season.

28 Jul 2013 19:11:53
Crystal Palace close to completing double swoop of loan signings Lucas Piazon and Nathaniel Chalobah both from Chelsea.

The pair are both keen on going on loan for first team premiership football and keen to stay in London

You can't loan more than one player from a premier league side.

28 Jul 2013 19:08:03
Martin Skrtel will join Pepe Reina at Napoli after the club lodged a £10m bid with Liverpool. Kyriakos Papadopoulos is the man Liverpool want to replace Skrtel and they are hoping to land the Schalke defender for around £12m. Rodgers is close to tying up a £4m deal for Aly Cissokho to provide Jose enrique with some competition for the left back berth. Liverpool's top target this summer was Henrikh Mkhitaryan but Borussia Dortmund won the race for his signature. Christian Eriksen is Rodgers second choice and he is a similar type of player to Mkhitaryan, technically very gifted and Liverpool will make a move for Eriksen who has admitted he would be interested in a move. Liverpool will have had a fantastic summer if they can manage to keep hold of Suarez which is looking likely unless Real Madrid come in with a mega offer but there focus seems to be locked on Bale.

Is this season finally going to be the season Liverpool can become relevant again. They have been so disappointing the last few.

28 Jul 2013 18:37:48
fulham to bolster there attacking options by getting sesegnon who is not wanted at sunderland and wakaso who is keen to play in the premiership

Not wanted? your joking right. sess will stay as di canio highly rates him

Sunderland don't want Sess? Who has started every pre session game so far?

Fair enough.

Sess is the Key to unlocking at lot of prem defences, new man under di canio, we will not sell unless Sess asks to go!

28 Jul 2013 18:16:13
wba are closing in on the signings of scott sinclair and victor moses

Kalou deal should be completed this week. Talks ongoing with Man City regarding Sinclair. Moses an option if they miss out on Sinclair. Also a deal in place to bring Vydra in on loan but club are waiting to see if preferred targets are signed before going through with the deal.

28 Jul 2013 18:07:36
QPR midfielder Ji-Sung Park is on the verge of rejoining PSV on loan.

28 Jul 2013 17:58:19
Cyrus Christie from Coventry to join Derby County as a replacement for John Brayford

Makes no sense. when freeman is there.

What do you mean makes no sense. It makes perfect sense, we are one right back shorter than before, therefore we need to sign another. Looks like it going to be a prem loan though.

Adam smith has replaced john brayford

Signed Adam Smith from spurs so looks unlikely now

28 Jul 2013 17:56:59
Cardiff City have agreed a deal to sign goalkeeper Simon Moore from Brentford.

Am so sad, he's been magical for the Bees - massive impact on fab last season. You're v lucky Cardiff City peeps. Future England keeper? Enjoy. Anna

28 Jul 2013 17:50:36
Hull City will look to bring in Lee Cattermole and Hugo Rodallega before the new season starts.

28 Jul 2013 17:44:19
Cardiff to announce signing of Capoue on Tuesday, to then turn attention to Mexico International Hector Moreno with £8m believed to be enough to secure the central defenders services

Well. it's Tue now mate and nout, good call!

28 Jul 2013 17:20:38
steven Gillespie is set to join Northampton town

28 Jul 2013 17:08:04
I've heard very reliably (sadly) that Brian McDermott is very close to offering his resignation at Leeds United and has been in "difficult" discussions recently to convince him to stay.

A big part of this could well be linked to Ken Bates' claims that from June 2012, Salem Patel has had the final say on all major decisions at the club - players bought and players sold.

Brian was assured he would have funds and full control of who comes in and who goes out. Both promises appear to have been broken already, with McDermott admitting recently he has to sell to buy.

It doesn't sounds at all positive.

LeedsSte

Hope so - Forest fan

Baggies are in negotiations with QPR over the £4m signing of Junior Hoilett

There was interest in January as part of an Odemwingie deal but this has changed. May be an option but West Brom have many other targets they would rather sign ahead of Hoilett.

Kalou to be done by august the 1st. Sinclair should be done by the end of the week just waiting for city to agree a fee and then he has a medical etc. vdrya might happen depending on other targets but albion are looking at another midfielder because celtic have apparently have made a an inquiry about dorrans, also the rumors about liam ridgewell are false because he quoted in a interview today"albion are moving forward as a club and hopefully this season we can get in the europa league whether its by cup or finishing in the europa league spots and I want to be here. he went to say that he has mates here" plus James Morrison also said he wanted to leave albion because of the lack of ambition at the club

28 Jul 2013 23:43:28
Actually pretty likely.

With Odemwingie unlikely to feature in any future plans and the departure of Thomas, Albion are desperate for width.

If the reports are true and Kalou does not want to play out wide and he signs for Albion then we'll still need wide men.

Sinclair has been banded around the press but with Everton interested it might prove difficult to get him. Moses on loan from Chelsea has again been mentioned but no offer appears to have been made. Which means we might look around some more and since we were interested in January it seems like an obvious target and a direct replacement for Odemwingie.

Agree about Hoilett, he was one they wanted on loan but sinclair and kalou are their main targets, confirmed y'day by Kevin Keen

29 Jul 2013 00:10:52
Not interested. That ship has sailed. We've moved on

28 Jul 2013 16:35:55
Cameron Jerome has been linked with a move to Reading FC for a fee of around £3 million.

Not 3 million more like 1m

Find me any premier league player available for £1million. £3million would be about right if he was to be sold

28 Jul 2013 16:18:06
Bolton are trying to sign Yannick Bolasie from Palace but have been knocked back

28 Jul 2013 14:41:45
Udinese's highly rated midfielder Gabriel Torje has turned down an offer from Watford, in favour of a move to hometown club Dinamo Bucharest.

28 Jul 2013 20:36:05
dynamo deny this, it is believed he is either transfering to Russian club or a loan to English club

He's going to La Liga mate, never offered to Watford.

Well he would be offered either Watford or Granada and seeing as we just beat Granada 2-0, albeit at different levels of pre-season, he'd probs wanna go where the goals are.

28 Jul 2013 14:26:32
Sounds a bit unlikley, but rumor spreading Darren Bent on Swansea Radar
Not for me as too old, not the usual age for a Swans new player, however he knows where the net is if you can keep him fit

I doubt this rumour is true better strikers around than Bent.

28 Jul 2013 14:21:53
Burnley to sign Dedryck Boyata on a season loan from Man City

The defender will be competition for Jason Shackell and Kevin Long while David Edgar will be sent on loan with Leeds keen on him

Don't think he'll compete with our skipper for the starting spot, and Edgar won't go on loan anywhere, might get sold but that's not even been talked about by anyone or paper around the club

David Edgar will play a role in central midfield with burnley this year. Often as a sub when we need to tighten up towards the end of the game

IM a City fan and Ill tell you now that Boyata is a better player than both shackell and edgar (who newcastle sold)

28 Jul 2013 14:21:53
Burnley to sign Dedryck Boyata on a season loan from Man City

The defender will be competition for Jason Shackell and Kevin Long while David Edgar will be sent on loan with Leeds keen on him
Ha ha leeds

29 Jul 2013 09:11:03
Edgar going now where

28 Jul 2013 14:15:39
Burnley set to complete summer recruitment with the season long loan signing of Mikele Leigertwood from Reading.

Clarets also interested in a similar deal for Marvin Sordell, but Dougie Freedman wants to give the young striker another chance at Wanderers this season.

Reading only interested in selling permanently.

Dont mind if its loan or perm, just want him gone!

28 Jul 2013 13:06:10
Celtic are keen to sign millwall left back Shane lowry

Don't believe all you read in the Sunday People. Yawwnnn

No celtic but you can have malone

No they are signing park ji sung.

If you pay us 1.5 mill you can have him. Good player and I myself would like him to stay but if the offers to good for the club to turn down they should let him go and get Shorey signed up

I went to the Robinson testimonial on saturday and thought it was shorey playing at fulll back rather than malone, before lowry came on in the second half. I must admit I was impressed by malone, even though I didn't rate him that musch in the few games he played last year, But he did loook good on saturday, perhaps he should be given a chance

29 Jul 2013 10:40:56
Im not a fan of NGuesson but I did feel sorry for him when he was boosed by some sections of the crowd at the testimonial on saturday, If he's still a millwall played and lomas wants to give him a chance we should give him the benefit of the doubt. I felt sorry for him when he came on when he was booed, especiaaly it being a friendly and testimonial and that he seems to want to try and impress the new manager. If he can't prove his worth to the team under lomas, by all means try and get rid of him, but I don't think it was tight to boo him when he came on

29 Jul 2013 11:00:31
reported today in news now and south london press millwall trialing dutch right back:

FORMER West Bromwich Albion defender Gianni Zuiverloon is on trial at Millwall.

Danny N'G has the power n pace just his touch let's him down, if Lomas can bring it out of him he's a good player. Booing him won't help him or us! Give the bloke a chance! He scored a couple for charlton on loan.

28 Jul 2013 13:01:08
Ebanks-Blake will sign for Bournemouth next week on a free transfer

He's out untill december with a double broken leg fracture

No chance he's had a the same injury that ended Steven purches carear

Really - injured at the moment not due to play until October - AFCB need someone now

Where's this rumour from - isn't he out with a long term injury?

Out of contract recovering from broken leg, not fit till October. would be nice, but AFC need striker cover now.

I hope so decent player in my opinion just what we need

28 Jul 2013 12:29:59
Kyle Naughton or Adam Smith could be the right back Derby are bringing on a season long loan.

We'll find out tomorrow morning...

Wont be Naughton, might be Smith.

Kyle naughton is a LB

No way spurs squad this season

Naughton has already been loaned out to NCFC in premiership two seasons ago, so there is no chance Spurs would loan him out to the championship, as he came back from Norwich a better player and featured last season for spurs.

Naughton is not a left back, he only plays there because Walker is better

Will Hughes has Been tweeting adam smith, co-incidence?

28 Jul 2013 11:08:10
Billy sharp on loan to Sheffield united.

Behave yourself

Ha ha ha why would he go back there?

Hope so I've been hearing it all weekend

He won't be coming home, stop being stupid!

28 Jul 2013 09:42:10
Reading hope to complete a deal for FC Ural Sverdlovsk Oblast's Armenian striker Edgar Manucharyan in the coming days

28 Jul 2013 09:41:42
Crystal Palace have bid £3m for Hamburg defender Michael Mancienne and £1.8m for Gent striker Ilombe Mboyo. They are also looking to take Chelsea's Lucas Piazon on a season long loan.

So no more "grapeshot" from Holloway? Much more of a "rifle". He has the look and sound of a beaten man already

28 Jul 2013 09:05:51
Peterborough United look set to sign Tottenham striker Jon Obika on a seasons loan

No thankyou haha. We've had him before

28 Jul 2013 20:08:55
Supposedly, Berahino (West Brom) is supposed to come back to Peterborough on a long term contract as well as Wells (Bradford). Bradford who previously rejected a bid from the Posh for Wells are said to have reconsidered after MacAnthony said he will not bid higher. The Andre Gray (Luton) bid will not be pursued after MacAnthony and Ferguson went scouting at the Dagenham friendly. MacAnthony was said to not be impressed enough as he thought Gray was played in the wrong position after he was played out on the wing and under-performed. Further evidence of this can be found by reading though MacAnthony's most recent tweets.

And if you had read further theough his tweets, you would have seen we won't be signing Berahino or Wells

Berahino is being given his chance in the West Brom 1st team, why would he want to come back to Posh?

28 Jul 2013 11:27:07
Millwall manager Steve lomas is meeting with CEO Andy Ambler to put together a contract offer for fellow Northern Irishman Paddy McCourt. They will also be deciding whether to offer a contract to Nicky Shorey who has been training with the club for the last month

If true? IMO SL could make McCourt an even better player than he already is! So much ability/talent. He's the type of player that fans just have to watch, a real crowd puller! Celtic are changing the team around & his contract finished!

I think McCourt is worth at least a one year deal/contract! IMO!

McCourt can play on either wing or midfield & scores the odd goal! We still need 2-3 players with maybe injuries/suspensions IMO!

Celtic fan here. Paddy mccourt had the potential when he arrived at celtic and never developed at all. Great player when he can be bothered but really lazy and very ball greedy. Wasted talent imo and don't be to excited about him because of his poor diet and bad smoking habbit he will never last 90 mins. All his own fault
Hew1888

McCourt to Millwall is only another rumour! He will probably end up signing for the Posh?!

28 Jul 2013 08:57:23
Crystal Palace will move for these players this week:
James Ward-Prowse (Saints) - loan
Albert Adomah (Bristol C) - 1m
Charlie Austin (Burnley) - 3m

Be very surprised if Palace will spend big, best Ollie will get is season long loans.
Palace chairman won't spend.

James Ward Prouse is going nowhere!

You really think southampton would be stupid enough to send jwp on loan

28 Jul 2013 19:05:27
I thought Holloway was not in favour of the loan system. Beaten man already

Sending him out on loan is just what he needs, you really think he's going to be getting regular games ahead on Schneiderlin, Wanyama, Cork and Davis?

Sending him to a rival is not going to happen.

Thankyou he can get some inportant exp on loan because I can't see him getting in the team plus we are set to make a bid for ever banega really don't see the point but would be a good signing.

No we shouldn't send him out on loan. If he is good enough, he will get into the team, I think he is good enough. He will have to work very hard as will others to get into the team, which will only raise the standard.

If we do loan him out and that is a if
he wouldn't be going to a club in competition with us

30 Jul 2013 10:38:23
Just hope saints have a sell on clause as part of the Garth bale a part of £85000000 could be put to good use, build another layer on the stadium perhaps

Rupert Lowe traded in our sell on clause for Bale for the legend that was Tommy Forecast.

Saints did have a sell on clause, but they sold it : (

Still better £100 in the hand than £20mill in the bank as they say.

We had a 15% sell on clause as part of the original deal when GB moved to spurs, this was widely publicised at the time. Rupert Lowe (satan himself) decided that we (he) needed funds so badly that he asked Tottenham to pay the second installment early in exchange for which he removed the 15% sell on clause from the deal and reduced the fee by 3 million pounds. Spurs paid just 7m for GB with no add ons!

Saints don't have a sell on clause for Bale, instead we accepted Tommy Forecast and £2,000,000 I believe.

No we don't we took tommy forecast in lieu of sell on. Good work!

I believe the original sell on clause was 25%. Waived for 3mill!! So with what is being discussed at the moment 20-25mill. or to put it in a current context, the Leandro Damiao asking price!!

Saints gave bale his chance, how man united missed him I don't know just shows the quality of saints acedemy. Just wish the club had something out of the Madrid deal.

The genius that was Red faced Rupert Lowe.

It must be hell running a football club what with being lumbered with players you don't want under contract and others walking away that you want to keep. The present system is crazy.

When you look at the financial situation most clubs are in, if the sky money were to be cut back or move elsewhere biggest loser would be the inland revenue. Most clubs going bust

I didn't agree with Nigel Adkins sacking but saints fans must thank mr cortese for giving the owners the confidence to invest in the club, he has done a good job so don't keep knocking him.

Sky sports have now altered saints part of the bale to 2 million from 5

Don't understand. Who's knocking Cortese. He's a messiah as far as i'm concerned and if he had been at the helm, Real would be talking to us now not Spurs i. e. Luke Shaw.

Lot of fans not keen on cortese, talk to the fans. Like any boss you can't please everyone he's doing his best to make sure we stop in the top flight just hope we make a good start

28 Jul 2013 07:46:43
Looks like There will be no more reading fc transfers in as they are finding it hard to offload the players who are not required. Especially pog who they can't even give away
Players wanted off the wage bill are
Pog
Ledgertwood
Gorks
Once these 3 are gone they will then be able to get that striker they crave for but no ideas who that is.

Utter speculation on your part, let's just show a little patience. everything needs to be done instantly for your average football fan these days.

Actually Reading are about to terminate pogs contract and Rubin Kazan want him. That's 60k off the bill. {Ed029's Note - No they aren't, but he can leave if a suitable offer is made.

28 Jul 2013 15:34:41
This isn't true, Reading have got the money to buy a striker if the player for the club becomes available. Nigel Adkins said they still looking but they will do things privately and there own way, so don't believe all the rumours of the high profile overpaid strikers we have been linked with.

Thats where your wrong gorkss is wanted as fourth choice

Plus Pog is not and was not ever on 60K a week. That was made up it was 45 at most.

29 Jul 2013 00:07:28
plus i'm betting that pog had some sort of relegation wage drop clause in his contract, as most teams that go up and sign high profile players they have to make sure that if they go down they have something in place

something that qpr and wolves didn't do

Baggies hope to sercure a wow signing in the next coming days, it seems kalou is strongly linked as he has rejected west ham whereas sinclair talks are ongoing because newcastle and everton are interested in the man city winger too

Kalou and Vydra are 90% likely to sign next week. Sinclair is thought to be only a 50% possibility. If they don't get Sinclair they are believed to have a back up plan in Victor Moses.

They will complete deal for Sinclair on loan view to a permanent deal on wednesday/thursday.

Kalou could also be this week, Vydra's transfer looks in doubt due to reports in Italy but still hopeful before the season starts.

Stoke also want sinclair

Hope Kalou, Vydra and Sinclair. West Ham worry me. It seems everybody we are linked with so are they. Mind you they could do us a favour and take Odemwingie

Sinclair won't go to Stoke because he wants to go to a team that like playing football rather than hoofing from top to bottom

Why is our management shouting we need new players, have they only just realised, two weeks before the season starts////////////

Moses would be the best signing out the rest alongside a fully fit scott sinclair

Chris Brunt has given great service and top performances for the Baggies. His left foot should never be disputed or his commitment. James McClean is average at best, headless and chicken come to mind!

Quite a few "ridiculous" comments here. The one thing Brunt can do is cross, however, he is an awful player and a shocking choice as captain. Extremely overrated, all people see is a 30 years screamed once every 6 moths and think that makes a good player. The talk of us signing Maloney has gone quiet of late, is that dead in the water does anybody know?

27 Jul 2013 23:52:48
Fulham are considering another bid after their £12m offer for Pablo Osvaldo was rejected. Roma are wanting £18m.

If Fulham do not follow their interest in Pablo Osvaldo, a move for Matej Vydra will be on the cards, though Fulham aren't keen on Udinese's evaluation.

Clement Chantôme is unlikely to arrive at FFC and neither is James McCarthy.

If you are not keen on Vydra's value then stroll on.

28 Jul 2013 09:48:08
Pablo Osvaldo bid was 9.5 millions pounds not 12 millions. I think.

Everywhere says it was £8.6 million.

West brom showing interest in James McLean from Sunderland.

I can tell you now that west brom are NOT interested in mcclean. for starters why would WBA want him when they have a carbon-copy in Chris Brunt, who in my opinion is better.

Youve never seen Brunt play then because he is slow, has a poor touch, can't cross, scared of a tackle and too hesitant whenever he sees an opposition player coming at him

Just because there left footed doesn't mean Brunt is a carbon copy or vice versu, Brunts better but totally different type of player lol

Not saying anything about the rumour but brunt is nothing like mclean

Mcclean has more pace then brunt and is more of an out and out winger then brunt.
I think mcclean would be an awesome signing for us baggies!

One of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard you don't know Brunt if you think he can't cross and his touch is great he has a top draw left foot and he is committed to the team so you clearly don't have a clue

Im the one who replied first on this. seriously guys your telling me mcclean is different, in what way excatly?

they both have great delivery with their left, both get stuck in, good eye for a pass. of course there aren't world beaters but my opinion for chris brunt being better is he has adapted from a player just like mcclean (runs at players and crosses) into someone who can also play the opposite side and still deliver and also potential to play in the middle.

im an albion fan who has watched him since he arrived from wednesday. he has been class over the years and albeit he can be frustrating, but I sure damn know he is a better technical player than mcclean ATM.

back to the transfer though. west brom wouldn't be interested unless it was a loan, he would cost atleast £3.5mill minimum so that's out of our budget considering we have other targets we are pursuing (sinclair/vydra/montero/kalou/moses/etc).

Brunt at his best makes things work in midfield, get off his back, McClean is a biggoted headless chicken

I'm too an Albion fan and a season ticket holder and Brunt is a complete waste of space, slows the game down, very rarely uses this so called wand of a left foot, can't tackle, lacks pace, can't beat a man through skill and will never be captain material!

I for one would love to see this happen!

We've moved forward as a club, Chris has been a good loyal servant but I fail to see what he brings to the table now. As for the post saying Chris runs at players, I can't remember one occasion where he has gone past a defender on the outside he always cuts in. Good squad filler nothing more these days I'm afraid.

30 Jul 2013 10:35:41
Chris Brunt is a good loyal player with a good eye for goal and a fantastic pass/cross.

What you guys don't seem to notice is how many chances he creates, I know you'll blab on about Morrison (who I also rate) but here are the cold hard stats from last season:

MORRISON
2012/13 Statistics
TEAM Competition GS SB G A SH SG FC FS YC RC
WBA Prem 33 2 5 4 52 17 16 30 4 0

BRUNT
2012/13 Statistics
TEAM Competition GS SB G A SH SG FC FS YC RC
WBA Prem 23 8 2 4 41 11 27 9 4 0

That's 10 less starts for Brunt yet he had the same number of assists as Morrison and these are stats for the Premier League ONLY.

Whether Brunt fits perfectly in to our first team now is a different question, we need more width and Brunt cuts inside an awful lot and there isn't space in the middle of the park to play him but you can't question his talents

Tardiello back on the radar as a transfer target for Barnsley as a fourth striker after tubbs signing at Rotherham

It's Nardiello and no were not.

Your right your not. he's not for sale.

Tubbs ain't that good and will crock it at Rotherham, mark my words. Tardiello would be a good singing for Barnsley though.

It's nardiello not tardiello and no he's not for sale and tubbs won't crock it at rotherham

He's rubbish anyway! Not even league 1 standard

I think the poster referring to him as Tardiello is exercising humor aimed at his level of intelligence, as opposed to unintentionally getting his name wrong. Also, as a red, we don't want him back. Way below the standard of striker I'd expect us to be aiming for.

We've been talking too Aaron McLean why would we want Nardiello?

29 Jul 2013 02:19:07
McLean not signing for Barnsley, from his twitter account that he's not had talks

29 Jul 2013 12:49:10
nardiello has had talks

Rather have no one then nardiello back

However his name is spelt he's no longer good enough for Barnsley

According to what I saw in Rotherham United v Barnsley game recently YES HE IS. He's a class player IN A GOOD TEAM!

He didn't play against rotherham this pre season.

Was an underrated player but doesn't handle missing games and being sub well from what I remember. Not sure anyone should take him as a 4th choice striker and wouldn't be first choice at the Reds.

Tards is going nowhere. You couldn't afford him anyway

Showed some promise in his time at Oakwell but never really fullfilled it
Found his level now good luck to him but he will never play in the championship again

If we wanted Nardiello then we would be able to afford him. Why do people think we can't afford anyone? Play in League 1 with Rotherham or in championship with Barnsley? It's a no brainer.

Marlon Pack impressed Bristol City whilst playing in their friendly against Bournemouth and will earn himself a contract next week before the first game of the season
#BCFC #WED

Would be amazed if SoD didn't sign Marlon Pack!. suits Brizzle City in every way.

Rotherham sign bournmouth striker matt tubs on loan until January with view to a perminent deal

27 Jul 2013 22:29:31
Bristol city to sign Marlon Pack after a his impressive trial game against Bournmouth today. They will also be looking to sign a new striker in the coming week after losing steven Davies to Blackpool. Billy sharp was looked at but due to his high wages city could not persue a deal for him. They have now turned attention to Jay Simpson who is a free agent at the moment.
Marvin elliot looks set to leave the club as colchester and Ipswich town are interested in signing the player.

I can't see the U's signing anymore players this summer. The money is low and Dunne says he only wanted to sign a left-back to complete his squad, which he did last week. Elliot is a good player, and I can see him getting a Championship move.

Why would he move to Colchester who are in league one and won't be near the top, and Ipswich won't sign another player from us! Next rumour please.

Can't see why he wouldn't move to the U's. after all they are an ambitious club with great training facilities and also like his current club in league 1. if Colchester is good enough for the likes of Sanchez Watt and Craig Estmond it's good enough for someone from Bristol City!

Ipswich town winger Josh Carson is having a trial at Bristol City

ITFC fan, we have signed 10 players this summer and are after no more. MM has confirmed this.

West brom linked with fabio from man united as a replacement for Liam ridgewell

Dont think so mate, if anything they'll promote one of the youngsters and if a major emergancy they can play billy jones there.

Top Call ^

We don't bring youth through, not our policy, its always the same, our managers never seem to have the bravery to play them'

Well we've brought in Thorne and Brown didn't we? its a start and you can tell our acadamy is half decent as other clubs are poaching our players. ^

Plus I reckon this is going to be the breakthrough season for Dawson.

We should never have let Wood or Mantom go in January, they were to great young players at Albion.

27 Jul 2013 21:40:05
Oldham expected to announce the signing of striker Adam Rooney who has been training with the club and also playing in majority of their pre-season friendlies. They are also said to be interested in former central defender Will haining who is currently a free agent after his release by morecome. Lee Johnson has also said he is interested in a number of young goalkeepers one of which being former loanee Ben Amos. Not sure if there's any truth in this final one.

No truth in haining either as he isn't good enough these days as Morecambe know.

Amos to play second fiddle to Oxley? No.
Haining good enough for L1 still?
No.
Has Rooney resolved his dispute with Swindon?
No.

Next.

Rooney signed a 2 year contract + a 1 year option with Oldham today.

Rooney has now signed. Calm down with your angy posts, it's a rumours site, not a 100% accurate fact site.

Southampton fc are close to signing Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao for a record breaking fee of 23 million ##tv ## deal to be wrapped up when Saints return from Austria.

All we can do is cross our fingers and hope its
True COYRS

No they're not

Can't see it happening myself, think he'd rather join Zenit.

And Ever Banega. COYR

Spain, i'm guessing you mean. Celta Vigo match?

Pleaseeeeee be true

Zenit have pulled out.

So.

I heard if saints do sign the Brazilian then lambert could be on the move to Reading and as a saints fan I hope it doesn't happen as the saints would be know where without

Oh look at all the jealousy he's not joining southampton he's not joining southampton! Its not fair! its not fair! i'm telling!Lol grow up children dose it really matter! Good luck to them I say!

IF we do sign Damiao, Lambert ain't going nowhere. in fact, the reason why we want Damiao is so he can partner Lambert upfront

the only strikers leaving the club if we get another striker on board would be Lee, Forte, Sharp and isgrove (Loan)

What are you on about? ^
Anyway, I would love it get him! Fingers crossed.

What don't you get? if we get Damiao those players I just mentioned will be waaey way down the pecking order, clear up some room and get some spare cash from them. they are not wanted anymore (apart from isgrove)

Peterborough boss at Luton today watching Andre Gray.
Expect deal to be done early next week at a bargain £100k with add ons

100K? Never make it 500k you might have a deal! John still makes non league players

250k me thinks

Maiakat posh

28 Jul 2013 13:04:53
Not according to Dmac on twitter. Said he put his cheque book away.

He was there watching someone

I didn't post this or any of the fee estimates, only the initial rumour at 18:47:29

I don't make stuff up for fun

27 Jul 2013 20:50:38
Lionel Ainsworth and Kayode Odejayi where with U18s at Burnley today, the gaffer has done this to unsettle them as he doesn't want then at the club any longer.

Who? Never heard of these two put as the under 18 didn't play yesterday I highly doubt it

Aren't these 2 at Rotherham not Burnley?

Burnley Youth team beat Rotherham Youth team 2-0 yesterday, doubt these 2 played for Rotherham as they are surely over age.

27 Jul 2013 20:01:39
Celtic rumoured to be interested in Bournemouth striker Brett Pittman

No chance. Only decent striker we got & that said he needs more experience where he's at.

He's also injured

I'm sure if Celtic were interested in him he would be off in a shot. No comparasion playing for a team fighting relegation to champ league football

3m should do the trick

28 Jul 2013 15:57:13
r you still on he drink from last night lol

^ Fighting for relegation? The season ain't even started.

Excuse me who said Bournemouth are fighting relegation!! believe it or not the season hasn't even started yet!

Expect a busk week at Swindon. Exeter boss Paul Tisdale may not be the next manager, with suggestions current Alloa player-manager Paul Hartley remains the front runner, fitting the boards wish for a 'strong bold British manager'.

The club are still actively seeking to move on Paul Caddis, Luke Rooney and Paul Benson. Caddis to Blackpool could be revived if Swindon agree to a financial 'payoff' package with the player. Rooney and Benson will likely leave on loan.

Agreed.

Swindon are looking at taking players Bradley Diallo, George Okyere, Joseph Debayo, Amadou Tangara and Ike Robertson on trial next week.

Swindon will not be taking any more trialist on at all, they have the squad now and have made offers for Matt Taylor, Matt Holland and Simon Church. the ball is in their court if they accept the offers or not.

Almost definately the new Swindon manager will be Glenn Hoddle, apparently some of the influx of Spurs youth team signings have let this slip. This is the reason for media ban on current tour in Portugal.

I think you mean danny hollands & simon church is on trial at Charlton but wouldn't mind him signing if Charlton decide not to, Wouldn't mind matt taylor either, He has loads of experience & if tisdale becomes manager I think we would have a good chance of signing him.

28 Jul 2013 23:22:03
Simon church, Adam Rooney, matt Taylor, Danny hollands, Daniel Devine and Cameron Stewart will all be town players by the start of the season. Fact.

Hoddle has been approached by Swindon about the managers job but his wages were a MASSIVE stumbling block so he will not come now, Tisdale has been offered the job but its down to compensation between the clubs now as Exeter don't like Swindon after the Troy Archibald-Henville tribunal debacle, watch this space. Tisdale to get the job but it could take a week or more yet to finalise the deal.

29 Jul 2013 10:47:52
I thought Tisdale turned the job down!

Town have already agreed a settlement figure with Rooney

Would prefer tisdale over hartley, I don't think scottish and swindon town work too well

Yeah of course Scots and Swindon doesn't work well. Lou Macari anyone?

Just head Stoke are interested in signing Abel Hernandez and Josip Ilicic from recently relegated Palermo {Ed024's Note - Sunderland bid for Hernandez earlier in the season and were told he wasnt for sale - will take a sizable bid to get Palermo to change their mind.}

Would love to see Hernandez at the brit but got to agree with ed.

Hmmmm well. considering Josip Ilicic signed for Fiorentina 2 days ago I really wonder where this info came from?

Joep Illic signed for Fiorentina last week.

Basically he wouldn't be worth the money we would have to spend on him. I would take him if he came cheap and replace him for kenwey. Who knows maybe Hughes will see something in kenwey and keep him. He might shine under new management only problem is he's a lazy ass.
