Why do people with no knowledge of the game come on this site? i'll address one or two things. To the guy that says Torress is rubbish and isn't good enough to play for top 6/7 teams in premiership, what do you know? He is a talented young striker who proved as such in the world cup. His problem is that he plays for only a decent side. he is lightning quick, strong in the air, has two good feet and can score from many ranges. still think he is rubbish? Man. united ARE interested in signing him so does that mean you know more than SAF? You nutter! Secondly, yes man.united are likely to sign Nani in jan. But how do you know they have no connection with Sporting? As a matter of fact they do; this goes way back before united even signed Ronaldo, hence the reason they played sporting in the opening of their new stadium. Queiroz also has strong personal ties with the club as he once managed there and nutured world stars like figo and rui costa. lastly on this topic, why would man united dedicate a whole section in one of their magazines to sporting lisbon and their youth programme? food for thought i would say.
Now for other possible united transfers: (1)With Bayern relunctant to sell Hargreaves, do not be suprised if a bid for De Rossi comes in. he has technique and covers loads of ground. he is also very similar to a Keane in his day with his tenacity and aggression.
(2)With Kaka now seeming a longshot, Van der Vaart or Wesley Sneijder (Very similar to scholes)could be coming to OT as both want to leave Hamburg and Ajax respectively.

the fact of the matter is celtic and rangers can't afford to spend that kind of cash on 1 player. the best player we can expect to land in january is kaboul from auxerre. brown in the summer with murray going in the opposite direction.celtic will sign thompson in the summer with riordan going back to hibs also. hearts are fighting off arsenal and man utd for the signature of craig gordon whilst killie have accepted a bid from rangers for naismith. ps. this is a rumour site, not football manager mate.WEST HAM RUMOURS: In January, Wright Phillips will be the only signing, on loan till the end of the season, and in the summer he could sign for £10 million. He realizes that he has no real options on his bench with which he can change a game or add a real sense of urgency to the attack if needed. I don't think we should go for Thomson and Brown because they would cost atleast £6m and that would use up most of our budget, if we are going for both we should sell Barry Ferguson to the highest bidder, maybe £2.5m for him?Manchester United are ready to sign Charlton Athletic striker Darren Bent on a three year deal for £10,200,000 rising to £12,400,000 with International Appearences. If Charlton stay up Manchester will have to pay Charlton an extra £275,000.
