  Argyle news.

Holloway left after lack of ambition shown by Chairman Paul Stapleton. Stapleton infomed Holloway that he did not want promotion for at least two seasons, as he feared problems suffered by the likes of Derby and Watford. The Argyle board prefered to consolodate in the CCC and push on once stadium finished in 2010. Holloway got the hump with this, along with not being able to hold onto Akos Buzaky and the impending departure of the likes of Norris, Halmosi and Connolly.

Sturrock to take charge this week, so it is a goodbye to total football and a return of the long ball percent age that had served Argyle well in the past.

WHUfc news.

Hammers to signed Darren Bent £12 million and Stephen Appiah £7 million in January 2008. Curbs is still unsettled as new owners are tapping up Bilic in a technical director role and this will no doubt cause problems if the results do not come.

During the January Transfer Window the Hammers will be looking to offload Pantsil, Dailly and Quashie

Dailly favours a move to Southampton but a lack of funds could see him move to either Plymouth, Norwich or Burnley

Quashie is still being targeted by Stoke who will sign him on an initial two month loan with first option to sign him thereafter

Pantsil is desperate to leave and the Hammers are willing to sell but it all depends on who is willing to sign him

The Hammers will look to into the availability of Tom Huddlestone but are likely to be knocked back.

They will also assess the availability of Djibril Cisse, Giles Barnes and Florian Marange.

Interesting news coming out of Anfield today, Valencia's Ronald Koeman has made an enquiry about Peter Crouch. Crouch has said in the past he would like to play abroad and is encouraged by the success of 6 foot 8 Serbian forward Zigic's success in La Liga. However, despite speculation, it is not clear if Benitez will sell. Also, there is definite interest in Stephen Warnock with Momo Sissoko reportedly interesting Mark Hughes. John Arne Riise's future is still in doubt as he is still angry about his pay slip being made public and suspects it could be club staff who done it. He will not rush the decision though, and will still be here in February. Daniel Agger is in negotiations about a new deal, with a new six year deal on the table. Rafa will also ask in December if there is enough finance to appoint Sammy Lee to his back room staff.
