Ken Bates is at the end of his tether with Simon Grayson following the defeat to Barnsley.

Although Uncle Ken has barely spent a penny in years, he is understood to be demanding promotion this year. From what I understand, Grayson is piling this pressure onto the players which is in turn causing disputes in the camp. O'Brien-gate and the Grayson affair story have only served to make matters worse, resulting in poor performances from the players and Ken's subsequent fury with Grayson.

Chelsea are very close to completeting a number of deals in January to strenghten their squad.
Zenit St Petersburg defender Bruno Alves flew to London over the last few weeks over a possible £12 million deal. The Zenit defender is currently transfer listed after an argeument with the Russian side and has attracted interest from a number of top European sides,
Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao, who Villas Boas had at Porto, is subject of a £35 million bid from Chelsea. The Colombian striker only joined the Spaniards in the summer but is keen o link up with an English side after finding the La Liga only a two horse race. Falcao is also keen on linking up with his former manager.
Villas Boas may also go to his former club to sign Joao Moutinho. The Portugal play maker was interesting Villas Boas in the summer but the London side couldn't agree a fee.

Not really stats for a team that dominated are they, wake up Brighton you overacheived last season, you did well to win league 1, you will finish mid table.Brighton have outplayed most teams this year. Crwaley Town boss Steve Evans is set to be given funds in the January transfer window to put together his final squad for his League 2 promotion battle.
Southend United winger Ryan Hall, who is wanted by a number of Championship sides, is in talks with Town after Evans had a £120,000 bid accepted. Hall is currently wanting to stay at United but might not have the will power to turn down a 100% rise in wages.

Ipswich Town boss Paul Jewell has been told by the board that he will be given funds to spend in January but if his recruits are not worthy by end of March and Town are not in fight for promotion, he will be sacked.
26 year old striker Michael Malcolm, has recently been training with the club after being noticed at Isthmian League Premier League side Lewes. The former Stockport youngster has been wanted by a number of League 2 sides after his good form at Lewes but Town are set to gamble on the striker.
Sheffield United attacker Richard Cresswell is also on the radar of Jewell, who looks set to try and bring experienced striker come winger to Portman Road for an undisclosed fee.
Another forward interesting Jewell is 18 year old Marseille youngster Billel Omrani. Omrani has only played once for the French side and is keen to get out on loan until the summer to get some first team opportunities. Omrain, who joined the French side when he was 14, is currently being courted by both national teams of Algeria and France.

QPR boss Neil Warnock has been told by owner Tony Fernandes that he can spend as much money as he likes in the January transfer window. Warnock is wanting a number of new faces after apparently telling up to 7 players they will be transfer listed in the window.
Warnock is keen on bringing Sunderland centre half Michael Turner to London. The former Sheff United boss has been told he can have him on loan by Steve Bruce with a view to a £6 million deal in the summer. Turner, Warnock and Bruce are all keen on the deal.
Warnock is already in talks with 20 year old striker Admir Mehmedi after his club FC Zurich accepted a £3 million deal for the Swiss international.
With Rangers playing three in central midfield, they are set to sign another in Jesus Zavala. The 24 year old is keen on a move to England after not getting much recent first team football with Mexican side Monterrey and is currently being courted by a number of Spanish sides.

Southampton boss Nigel Adkins looks set to bring upto five faces to the South coast in January.
Magaye Gueye looks set to join on loan from Everton tomorrow with a view to it being extended in January to the summer. According to David Moyes, there is no chance of the Frenchman leaving permanently in the summer.
21 year old Crewe striker AJ Leitch-Smith is causing a lot of interest within the Championship but looks set to choose St Mary's as his destination on a four year contract.
Adkins is keen on bolstering his back four and could see a deal for Glenn Loovens of Celtic. Loovens is set to sign a three year deal with Southampton after his wages have been told they will be doubled after the Scottish Premier League side accepted a £4 million deal for the former Cardiff stopper.

Norwich to look at Liam Ridgewell and Curtis Davies from Birmingham City. Davies and Leon Barnett have played together for Luton and WBA. Ridgewell and Davies would provide huge experience. Yes Lambert likes hungry players like Pilkington, Martin, Crofts and Bennett but looking at our defense so far we do need the experience.
