IF Romelu Lukaku is recalled by Chelsea in January, West Brom will sign Danny Graham of Swansea.

29 Nov 2012 22:36:55
Danny Graham to stay at Swansea until the summer, then he will sign for West Brom.

Danny Graham & CMS to Norwich City in jan

No thanks, keep em. Danny graham for a million maybe. Why do we need a player who can't even get into the Swansea team?

I really wish people would stop saying "but Danny Graham can't even get in the Swansea team" Swansea are a very good team with very good players like Michu so it is obviously going to be very tough to get into that team. Do people honestly think Holt would get into the team in front of Michu on current form? He scored 12 premier league goals last year and I would be happy to have him at the club. The fact that he can't get into the team will make his availability easier. Sometimes you have to look for players that aren't regulars so when they do get their chance they play a lot harder.

Hes cheap and cheerful player

At the end of the Summer transfer window Brighton were half expecting Norwich to come back with a second higher offer for Mackail-Smith after their first offer was refused, It would not be surprising if Norwich did follow up in January.

I really wish people would stop banging on about how Swansea are the best thing since slice bread. They are clever though, getting 15 million for a hang average championship player i.e Joe Allen. Good bit of business that. Swansea is just a stepping stone for Michu. Holt would walk into the Swansea team. FORM IS TEMPORARY, CLASS IS PERMANENT.

Danny Graham is no better than Morrison. We can do better.

29 Nov 2012 21:50:52
Derby's Ceo Sam Rush has been given a list of players who are out of contract in the summer and is to
try and tell these players to sign pre agreements.
Anthony Wordsworth top of the list

Utter crap why would we sell hughes to liverpool for a fraction of his worth and board have already said he is going nowhere. sell top scorer ? try posting proper stuff not made up garbage

29 Nov 2012 21:10:22
Charlton, West Ham and Birmingham all done a rotation in January with
Carlton Cole to Birmingham for 600k
Chris Solly to West ham for 1.5 Million
Mitch Hancock to Charlton for 900k

600k for Carlton Cole? Yeah okay

600k for Carlton Cole? Yeah okay

600k would only be a loan fee!

Wait so we are selling Solly for 400K? Dream on mate!!

This is a true rumour

^ no, it really isn't

Good jokes nuffin more

And just who is this Mitch Hancock that we'd be prepared to pay £900k for?

29 Nov 2012 20:56:24
Charlton are looking to offer Chris Solly for West Ham's James Tomkins which will be unlikely for the deal to go through a stomkins would not want to go to a club league one bound.

They will be playing each other next season

League one bound? have you not looked at the league table and our form recently. And why we we swap Solly for Tomkins?? Solly quality!!!

Tomkins is ridiculously overrated. Can only pass sideways and more worried about his hair. Solly is best rb in the champ and a proper footballer

03 Dec 2012 21:55:49
Tomkins is good Championship standard player so it's possible.

Solly? I have my doubts

29 Nov 2012 20:52:18
Any news on Paul Caddis, is a permanent deal forthcoming? As even though he has fallen right out of favour and is very unlikely to play for STFC he would likely draw a £400,000 price tag.

All the players out on loan bar Rooney I can see moving on. The Roberts thing I believe to be a load of BS. Richie will stay to the end of the season I believe as he and PDC are 2 peas in a pod.

AND NO THE BOARD HAVEN'T LOST FAITH IN PDC'S MAN MANAGEMENT SKILLS.

Fodders moving I'd say no doubt this very much, although STFC aren't as big as Millwall they certainly have as much if not more cash.

29 Nov 2012 20:38:39
Chelsea manager Rafa Benitez has targeted Fluminense midfielder Jean as his first choice target for the summer.

He won't be there

29 Nov 2012 20:43:28
Roma and French club Lille are the latest clubs to show interest in David Beckham.

29 Nov 2012 20:41:53
Real Madrid have received two offers for Brazilian midfielder Kaka.
German giants Bayern Munich and MLS club Vancouver Whitecaps have both had offers accepted in the region of £10 million.

29 Nov 2012 20:22:14
David Moyes has identified Lewis Holtby as his number one target in January.

29 Nov 2012 20:21:07
Liverpool will use Andy Carroll as part of a swap deal for Darren Bent in January.

Andy carroll can only return to liverpool cant play for more two teams in a season good try

29 Nov 2012 17:14:47
Promising news for Liverpool fans this evening as one of Harry Redknapp's two January transfer targets is Joe Cole. QPR are ready to sanction a £2.5m move for the attacking midfielder who hasn't been able to find a way into Brendan Rodgers side after a successful loan period at Lille. Liverpool have been linked with countless names this January but the only player I am 100% certain is a target is Chelsea's Daniel Sturridge, Liverpool failed in an attempt to sign the player on loan last deadline day and are confident of landing their man for around £12m this January even with the arrival of new boss Rafael benitez.

Good old Harry, different club, same OLD targets. He will get Rio in next.

29 Nov 2012 16:00:04
Bolton are looking to strengthen their squad with a January double signing from Nottingham Forest. Both Guy Moussi and Dexter Blackstock will leave for a small fee this January.

29 Nov 2012 20:11:50
U cudnt {Ed003's Note - If you write in English your post will get through}

29 Nov 2012 15:46:36
Watford will sign Free Agent Fabio Grosso in January on a short-term contract, via Udinese.

This could be a good rumour and a good possibllity.he has connections with zola and cassetti. And at present on the dole.

He's 35 years old so I could imagine him being rather slow, but I wouldn't say no to a world cup winner!

Why would they wait until jan if he is a free agent?

Because the deadline for signing free players was sometime in mid-november

29 Nov 2012 15:31:02
Reading youngsters lawson dath and jake taylor to sign permanent deals at Cheltenham in january

Too highly revearded at club to be sold to them

Dath going nowhere on perm! Way too hot prospect.

They have just gone their on loan 5 minutes ago,it doesn't mean their going to sign permanently. You have no chance of getting either of them

Agreed. they are not good enough for town to sign permanently but promiusing prospects

I'd not be so quick to shoot down such an idea. These two aren't actually that great given some youth talent around at the moment.

29 Nov 2012 15:32:35
Harry Redknapp is set to work his magic in the transfer market. The experienced manager will look to bring in 4 players and offload at least 3. My sources say he wants to bring in 2 strikers as he feels that scoring goals is the way to go about staying up. Possible targets:

Darren Bent, Aston Villa, £10m The England striker wants out.

Gary Hooper, Celttic, £8.5m, Harry would've made a move for him in the summer before losing his job. Could be a deadline day special as Celtic won't let go easy.

Scott Sinclair, Man City, LOAN, Would love to get the pacey winger on loan. Sinclair wants to stay at City but a loan move would give him much needed game time.

Michael Dawson, Spurs, £5m, Will be reunited with his former manager. This could be Harry's first signing.

Harry has already said he has been told the club cant keep spending money and he will rely on loans. Yet you've got him spending £23.5 million

Bent will be atleast £15 mill we paid up to 24 for him {Ed003's Note - Not all up front, £5m is due when he plays 50 games for Villa hence why he isn't playing he is about 3 games short to trigger that clause I believe}

Takes a brilliant manager to deduce that to stay up its best to score goals, mans a genius

Dawson has already said he wants to stay at Spurs and why would they want to accept a bid for half the money offered in summer?

He's also after burys david healy

Hooper, 8.5m, are you having a laugh?!

That is all crap i mean Sinclair really and Hooper for 8.5 he wont go to a club how is as crap as QPR

I wonder what you've been smoking!
You'll be looking at the Richard Dunne's of the world matey!

Celtic till i die, but if you guve us 8.5 mill for hoops id sack Arry in the morn...here are better strikers ave seen in the green and white,go figure, larsson, dalglish, deans, wallace, nicholas, mcavennie, mcclair, cadette, van hoojdonk, hes maybe on the same level as le petite merde, mcgarvey, majik, better than rambo,.

29 Nov 2012 15:12:41
Derby County are set to sell a minimum of 3 players in January. Will Hughes who supports Liverpool will move to his boyhood club in a £4m move. James Bailey also will leave Pride Park for good with Peterborough set to offer £300,000 for the midfielder. The final player set to go is Theo Robinson. The 8 goal striker is a top target for Ipswich who will make a £1.25m bid at the start of Jan. Nigel will get minimum funds to rebuild the squad and will no doubt look to the loan market.

No players are leaving in january apart from
Davies,Deeney and some young players on loan.No club unless in massive need of funds would sell 2/3 first team players half way through a season.4m for hughes your having a laugh clough said atm hes worth 8m and no less and it will rise with each game.Bailey still has a slight future depending on how well he performs at coventry and Theo is our top scorer and
Tyson is more likely to leave.

What utter rubbish! Will Hughes will not leave this season as Clough and Will both think that its in his best interest to stay for at least the rest of the season minimum. Theo will not leave for a rival championship club especially when hes our top goal scorer and we are struggeling for goals however Bailey might leave

Hughes is off in January that is definitely on the cards, Clough has been told to bring in some funds if he wants players in the January transfer window.
Hughes looks the most likely candidate to go as he will command the higher figure, several Prem clubs interested.

The price fgor Hughes is at least £8million in January and £12million at the end of the season. I have watched Derby for 50 years and he is the best player we have EVER produced

My friend knows will hughes and he doesnt support liverpool he is a derby fan and supported them all his life

06 Dec 2012 01:10:23
No, he's a Liverpool fan. Look at his twitter, it says in his description.

29 Nov 2012 14:24:54
Swansea interested in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January

Too bad he is going Villa instead

I'm sure he would rather go too swansea would suit there style and passion!! Come on jack army!!

He is a very good player, him and michu up front would score bags of goals

29 Nov 2012 13:22:03
Brighton set piece specialist Ryan Harley is top of Sunderland and WBA's wanted list.

Tell me is it the 1st April today?!

Err, I don't think so. I'm a BHA fan and I'd be happy to see us give him away just to reduce the wage bill. Premier league club! Make me laugh. Christmas is coming, not April Fools Day.

Taxi for Harley

lee collins will re-join port vale in jan for a fee of 50 thousand

29 Nov 2012 12:45:23
tony pulis is looking to bring maynor figeroa to stoke city in janurary. pulis also interested in charlie austin

Figueroa will not leave for Stoke as he's a footballer not a rugny player, He also has a guaranteed starting spot at Wigan. Duff Rumour

I have spoken to my manager and we have decided that jerome has redeemed his stoke city position and kenwyne could be the player leaving this season for the championships top scorer

Wow one of the 7 Wigan fans has spoken up

I think jerome is fantastic but it didnt look like his place was redeemed as jones started and jerome was left out of the team against WBA

Jerome picked up an ankle injury in warm up ^

Unless one of our other strikers (Jones, Jerome) went the other way I can't see Stoke spending on another striker. Crouch, Walters, Owen, Jones, Jerome.
Stoke are also increasingly playing 4-5-1 so unless they switch back to 4-4-2 he won't fit into the system.

29 Nov 2012 12:35:50
There will be some squad changes at Swindon in the new year transfer window, Roberts will be leaving, he is fed up with the constant criticism from PDC of the players and has had a stand up row with the Fiery Italian at a recent training session after the defeat to County.

Luke Rooney will be allowed to go as will Smith and Risser.
PDC has said he will not sell Foderingham but with both Millwall and Sunderland interested in the keeper it depends if a serious bid is received.
Bristol City are keen on signing Aden Flint from swindon and a bid of around 350k will be offered, whilst Flint is rated highly by the fans he has fallen out with PDC and now he is ready to move on.
Pdc will have to cut the wages bill if he wishes to add to the squad.

The club are also hoping for sale proceeds of Austin at Burnley as they are unlikely to resist big money offers.

Its very worrying i think there has been some really good players at the club that PDC has upset & it can,t keep going on like that. last season was a one off to win the league & change so many players . but now i think the board has come to a crossroads whitch way do we go now ? STICK WITH pdc or twist & get more funding back to the club sell our top players.

Truthfully he won't be playing premier league football with them as they're doing well I doubt they'll need him

29 Nov 2012 12:18:06
Manchester United monitoring QPR's Adel Taarabt, looking at a price of £7 million?

If man u buy him i will set my head on fire {Ed003's Note - =.O }

29 Nov 2012 11:58:36
Swans intrested in Egar from Braga, with Danny Graham going to Norwich for £3.5 million.

Sounds a good deal to me , bring in Danny Graham .......

2 million then we'l talk

3.5 to much

FA about to deduct points from portsmouth for not sorting out their debts and stitching up local firms and loyal staff.

About time too

No points deduction YET....

Posted from the SO postcode?

The FL (not FA) will deduct the 10 points IF Pompey come out of administration, despite what has been said in the press it is NOT a formality.

29 Nov 2012 10:21:51
Sunderland are after Brighton's highly rated midfielder Ryan Harley. A minimum fee of £1.5m is expected to be offered.

That's just silly. We'd be lucky to offload him on a free.

Harley is more likely to move to a League 1 club for a fee of around £100,000.

29 Nov 2012 08:36:12
Out Of favour leeds center back Jason Pearce is being linked with a january exit from elland road with Peterborough,Bournemouth and Millwall all interested

Dont be talking daft , he s suspended at the minute , b4 his red he had played every game, Pearce going nowhere.

This is the best rumour ever, why would we get rid of one of our best central defenders. He has lots of potential and once his ban is up he'll be back in the squad.

Out of favour haha he's only just finished his suspension so this is a non starter

Just made up nonsense , gonna have to do better

Out of favour?! are you high? he's been suspended apart from that he's been a regular for us! stop talking utter nonsense

Pearcey wants to come back south, he cannot understand the locals and misses the sunshine and his mates. {Ed003's Note - Eeeeh gi'oer its lovely and waaaarm up ere}

Yeah good news his contract is for next summer as if you don't sell him this January, and if he dont wonna go to another team , (which i doubt he really enjoys millwall)he'll be going for free next summer I'd consider you'll take 1 mil and maybe a bit more if that

I'd consider he will sign a new contract and play in the prem with the mighty whites, millwall? , you're avin a laugh

Millwall 1 Leeds 0 not surprised he wants to leave Leeds for the mighty wall

Millwall fans have short memory leeds did the double over you last season need i say more

Millwall are a better team this season than last. Leeds aren't.

Bertos? LMFAO back here with that little gem. Bertos couldn't even hack it in the conference as an attacking mid. So many lulz.

Crystal Palace are planning to snap up Honduran international striker David Suazo and current free agent during the month of December, but face stiff competition from Sevilla, Levante, Colorado Rapids, Brescia and Sydney FC for the player's signature

Sydney FC are hardly competition.

Don't be stupid. How are Sydney FC not competition? Tell that to Del Piero who plays for them. A player in his early 30's is more likely to go and play in Australia on better wages in gorgeous weather than play in London. Your ignorance of a team because they play in Australia is pathetic. If they are so bad why don't you get a game for them

Palace fan here. Like Suazo would come to Palace, he would only come to a championship team if they were on the brink of getting promoted, its December. Guy above me smacked it on the head, but he would only goto Sydney for the money rather than standard, right?

29 Nov 2012 00:29:25
Wolves have made a undisclosed bid for Edu Oriol from Real Zaragoza. The 26 year old winger will move in January if the bid is accepted.

We need a new defence and strike force dont need anymore midfielders that were up aginst with solbakken i have lost faith in him got to go otherwise league one here we come.

29 Nov 2012 00:26:48
Watford are set to make a £2 million bid for Sheffield United defender Harry Maguire.

What a load of tosh, you clearly know nothing about the current Watford set-up, we don't have any need to buy - we have a rich pool of talent from our parent club Udinese and from our sister club Grenada - do your homework before posting

You'll have to raise your bid if you want him. We rejected a £3 Million bid for him this time last year from Newcastle. Also we have money coming into the club at the end of the season so there is no need to sell players anymore.

IJA

I understood he was keen to stop with sheffield utd has he has signed a five year contract

29 Nov 2012 12:21:15
Firstly its Granada not the country Grenada

Second the groups business model is to buy young talent / grow / sell on - so if Maguire has the required quality - Udinese might bid and if they do - then they can blow anyone away if they wanted and i guess Watford would be the likely school for him - but they are not going to pay silly money given the scouting network they have

Udinese is not Watford's parent club. Do your own homework

I have heard that there are some players going the other way - noteably Joe Garner & I have heard Nosworhy too..

I'm sure that there is a decent fee involved too.

Tosh, why would Watford want let alone pay 2 mil for a div 1 player when we have six good players all with Championship experience and more talent a phone call away. Simply put, it will not happen because this is not the way the Pozzo family works.

Actually this is exactly the way Pozzo's work. They buy young players that look like they have a big future and sell them at their peak. For example, paid £3m for Alexis Sanchez when he was 16 and sold him when he was 21 (roughly) for £30m. They don't mind paying out if they believe they will make a decent profit at a later date

Except for the fact that watford is not Udinese and although the Pozzos might pay cash for young talent and move them on at a profit later they are extremely unlikely to do this for their Watford club based on the current financial problems which they inherited from that clown Bassini. Fact, to date, under the Pozzo regime no player has been signed for a transfer fee for Watford. End of discussion . . .

If they think it will earn them money in the future they will cough up the money. FACT

This made me LOL! Why would Harry go to a mid table team when united have the chance to be in the same league as Watford next season! Scratch that why would Harry want to leave anyway?

I wouldnt call joint 6th mid-table and i dont see sheffield united getting promoted ato the prem anytime soon

Watford are 6th, hardly mid-table!

I don't see Watford getting promotion as well

He has less potential then Tommie Hoban and he wouldn't even be making the bench.

29 Nov 2012 00:23:25
Sheffield Wednesday boss Dave Jones is to be backed by Milan Mandaric and will be given January funds to get the Owls out of the relegation battle they find themselves in.
Jones is expected to dip into the League 1 market by bringing in Shrewsbury defender Joe Jacobson. The 26 year old former Bristol Rovers player has impressed Jones since leaving Cardiff, the manager who let him go.
Jones is also after two strikers.
Chievo forward Mamadou Samassa will join on loan with a view to a permanent deal in the summer, if they stay in the Championship. The 26 year old tried to be bought by Jones back in his Cardiff days.
Jones will go to his former club Cardiff to bring in Etien Velikonja. The Slovenia hitman will join on loan but with no full time deal set for the summer.

If he is to be sacked why would he get funds?

They won't get Jacobson. Go and nick someone else's players. We have only got 4 defenders.

If he wants to pay good money for Joe Jacobsen then he can have him. No disrespect to the lad but he hasn't yet come to terms with league 1 football.

29 Nov 2012 00:16:41
Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson is keen on selling Emile Sinclair and Tyrone Barnett in January to raise funds for two other forwards and a midfielder.
The midfielder wanted is Austrian Johannes Ertl. The Portsmouth player is only a rolling contract at the League 1 side and won't cost a penny. Ertl is rumoured to be wanting to be back in the Championship and can also play in defence.
Ferguson is chasing Brentford forward Clayton Donaldson. The former Crewe and York hitman has impressed United this year and will join for an undisclosed fee.
The other striker is thought to be Ricky Sappleton. The former Macclesfield player has been invited to train with the club at the start of the New Year with a view to a short term contract. The 22 year old is plying his trade at non league.

Pompey would be happy to swap Ertl for Mendes Laing

Clayton Donaldson, going no where in the middle of a 3 year contract and Brentford dont need the money or need to sell, so dream on.

Have him he is shocking

29 Nov 2012 00:11:03
Arsenal, liverpool and spurs will fight it out for adomah, with arsenal bidding 2 million plus frimpong to bristol city. Liverpool are set to mention a bid of danny wilson plus cash but derek mcinnis wants player plus 4 million. All truth here

Adomah ? hahah please

Swans are intrested, but really don't need another winger..

Can see this happening funnily enough, one of these 2 will have him. probably arsenal as a replacement for walcott

Albert is not going to a top Premier League club, he may leave to a top Championship club or a struggling Premier League team.

Wigan, Swansea, or Boro have to be favourites. Between £2m and £3m if reports are to be believed.

Yeah can see this happening too, maybe for less money but arsenal/liverpool will want him

29 Nov 2012 00:10:00
Nottingham Forest are close to already tying up four deal for January.
Sean O'Driscoll is wanting to sign Tottenham defender Kyle Naughton on loan.
Another defender wanted by the former Doncaster boss is Coventry player Richard Wood. Wood has been admired by O'Driscoll ever since he joined Doncaster and could sign for an undisclosed fee.
Young Aston Villa midfielder Daniel Johnson is also wanted. The 20 year old has been told he will not have his contract renewed in the summer and will join Forest for around £50,000.
The final player is thought to be another 20 year old. Exeter forward Elliott Chamberlain has impressed O'Drsicoll with his potential and could join for around the same price as Johnson.

DJ is a hot prospect for Villa & Lambert has said he'll get a 1st team chance. you have NO idea what you are on about!

With all due respect to those names listed,Forest are now shopping in Harrods not ASDA. We are slowly building for a long term Premier League place.

This sounds like total rubbish!

How come Forest have not signed any "Harrods" players then?

Harrods? more like Morrisons Value!

LambertMyLord

29 Nov 2012 00:02:16
Millwall manager Kenny Jackett is to be financially backed in the New Year to try and achieve a play off spot. Jackett is wanting three players.
Jackett is set to bid for MK Dons defender Antony Kay. Kay has played Championship football for Barnsley and is seen as a main target for Jackett.
Another defender who could join is Leeds player Paul Connolly. Connolly has been transfer listed by Neil Warnock and could sign for as little as £100,000.
Finally, an attacking midfielder is a position in need. Wellington Phoenix player Leo Bertos will fly from New Zealand to sign a contract with the Londoners in the coming weeks for a move in the New Year. Bertos has also played Championship football with Barnsley in the past.

There is no way they will take bertos. He is the most defensive attacking player ever, it was so bad they moved him to defense at the phoenix

Two of the three players that Millwall are interested in signing are at the club on loan. Harts may sign on loan until the end of the season.

If Millwall wanted Kay, then why not sign him on a free transfer in pre-season like we did !

Izale will return in January. His rolling contract make this viable. Living in MK creates the perfect foil. Mark this space.

Thats a bit expensive for Conns, you can have him for nothing !

No brainer get rid off Lowe and Mcdonald and welcome back a goalscorer like Izale with open arms

More goals than the rest of our team put together errrr

Wood 8
Hendo 7
Trotter 6
Keogh. 5
Henry. 3

Plus loads more we score for fun except today which by your reasoning has put his value down by 250k . It's 1 mill today with sell on clauses or nothing at the end of the season he doesn't want to stay at WBA he's said as much.

So you said even if you get relegated your miles out of millwall's league? You obviously don't have a clue what you are saying. That is hilarious. Do you know what the word league means?

28 Nov 2012 23:54:48
Leicester are wanting to sign young Carlisle defender Brad Potts for an undisclosed fee.

He can play defense but last 3 match and his England u19 (1 of only 2 players from out side top two divisions to play) match have been in midfield, just signed a 3 years deal and is also scouted by Sunderland along with other premier league clubs, expect to dig deep.

28 Nov 2012 23:53:12
Leeds United manager Neil Warnock has been given money to spend and wants to sign a defender and three midfielders.
Young Manchester United defender Scott Wooton isn't expected to cost much money though as he will join on loan until the end of the season after being watched by Warnock a number of times this campaign.
One player who he is expected to fork out for is young Portsmouth winger Ashley Harris. Harris has previously been linked with a couple of Championship clubs and could cost around £1 million. Harris can also play up front and is only 18.
Another midfielder wanted by Warnock is Barnsley winger Kelvin Etuhu. A young midfielder who can also play central isn't in the plans at Oakwell and could cost United as little as £150,000.
The final player set to join the Elland Road side is Albert Jarrett. The Sierra Leone international has been invited to train with United for two weeks in December with a view to a six month contract. The former Barnet 28 year old is currently playing non league football with Bromley but has impressed scouts from a number of sides.

Im a leeds fan and if you believe for 1 minute man utd would loan us a player im afraid your deluded my friend

No to them all ,not good enough to improve the squad

Barnet never should of got rid of jarret, i've never seen a player put so many good crosses into the box, shame we had/still have crap strikers. Another one Paul Fairclough let go, that man is ruining Barnet FC

Is Warnock trying to build an ex Pompey eleven? Ashdown, Pearce, Norris, Brown, Varney. and now Harris and Etuhu?

Please take etuhu he is terrible

Harris has terrific potential, but right now that is all it is. Given Pompey's financial position, £1m would almost certainly secure him but it would be a major gamble. Personally, can not see it happening.

I haven't actually seen Harris have a good game and im a season ticket holder he hasnt started a game in a while and hardly been coming off the bench in recent games not even good enough for us

Harris would be unlikely to want to move to Leeds

Harris will be a free agent once Pompey are liquidated next month.

REALLY ? liquidated

I swear people have been saying when pompey will be liquidated next month for the last freaking 2 years

28 Nov 2012 23:45:27
New Ipswich manager Mick McCarthy is expected to be backed in January and is keen on adding up to five players to his squad.
McCarthy is wanting a keeper on a permanent deal and is thought to be keen on adding 23 year old stopper Simon Eastwood from Portsmouth. The former Bradford City loanee has been on trial with McCarthy at previous clubs before.
McCarthy is keen on adding a centre half along with a full back.
The Irishman is keen on youth and is chasing young Nottingham Forest player Jamaal Lascelles. The 18 year old has only feature for Forest twice and will sign on loan until the end of the season.
The full back is expected to be QPR player Nedum Onuoha. McCarthy is wanting the Manchester City player and will be the highest paid player at the club, despite Town only paying half of his wages for a loan deal until the end of the year.
McCarthy is finally wanting to add two forwards to his firepower as he hopes for a top half finish.
The first is experienced Blackpool forward Kevin Phillips on loan with a view to a permanent deal followed by Crawley captain Gary Alexander for a undisclosed fee.

I think you live on cloud nine my friend. What a load of rubbish.None of those names you talk about is know where better than what is already at portman road, and just why do we need another keeper. Please don't put rubbish on here again.!

Gary Alexander - dont make me laugh!

Why eastwood hasnt hardly played this season and if he had him on trial at other clubs how come he has never seemed to join his teams??

Why do people think they getting kev on loan. He is staying at blackpool and retiring at the end of the season.

Eastwoods the worst goalkeeper i have seen at Valley Parade for some years. He will be lucky to get a job at Bradford Park Avenue.

Lascelles hasn't played as he has been injured.

It's a little bit arrogant to suggest that Jamaal Lascelles is no better than we've already got. How many of our current defenders has spurs and arsenal offered 5 million for ?

I'll pay you to take Eastwood he is useless

Alexander cant score in div1 why would anyone think he could do it at championship level !

The word is Mick McCarthy is looking to take Kelvin Davis (Saints goalkeeper) back to Ipswitch on loan in January with a view to buy. Davis is currently down the pecking order due to the purchase of Boruc and Gazzaniga.
