Will all these persons on here that think that Arsenal will sign E'to please get real.
Why would he sign for the Gunners when there is clearly a strict wage structure in place. He is demanding £150 k a week and the club simply will not pay those kinds of salaries. If you are going to put a rumour on here then at least make it a believable one.
I think that Ronaldo will leave Man United and sign for Real. If he goes then Mr Ferguson will surely have to dive into the transfre market and Berbatov would be the most realistic alternative to get the goals.
As for Arsenal I hope that we get a centre back, Wheater and Kompany are the two I would like to see, and a holding midfield player, Veloso would fit the bill.
Just one quick note, Arshaven came out and said what a big FC Barcelona fan he was. no deal, then he was an Arsenal fan for life. no deal, now he is apparently a Tottenham fan and always has been. how the great have fallen, FC Barcelona and Arsenal. to Tottenham. lol.
Sorry about my comments about McGready, he was not a one season wonder, more like a six month wonder And if anyone had to bid £9 million for him, I would suggest they should bite the other clubs hand off Chris Eagles was on the radar, but shows how much the Scottish Premier League is held in such high regard that he chose Burnley.
I have heard this morning that both sides of the old Firm are in the process of completing major signings, on the Green side expext Clarence Seedorf to be unveiled within next week, and on the Blue side I have heard that Youssi Benayoun is close to agreeing terms, initally a loan deal

As I said the Johnson deal has stalled and Tottenham no longer want arsharvin. Everton will have a new look midfield of: pinnar, Arteta, veloso (18 million €)/arsharvin (18 million £), Cahill, moutinho (20 million €) the only other deal that will go through will be warnock from Blackburn. Possibly a swap deal with Baines.

The Gareth Barry deal is OFF. papers have not got much gossip to talk about, Barry will sign new deal at Villa with a get–out Clause said to be if a club finishes above them bids £14 million – they will have to accept. Rafa has turned his attentions to attack minded players as Damien Plessis has shown he is ready for first team action. With £16 million from Barry deal and £6 million to come in from Pennant moving to Blackburn, various offers will be made to clubs. First a £20 million bid for David Silva, £15 million for Maxi Rodriguez, £15 million for Matias Fernandez, £12 million Albert Riera, Stewart Downing, Niko Kranjcar, £10 million for Van Der Vaart, Milner. Obviously Rafa will not be buying all these players but these are the players in his mind. So depending on response to bids Liverpool will have 1/2 more attacking players. Chelsea will bid for both Diego and Moutinho, most likely Moutinho as he the cheaper option and Scolari has managed him before. Man United will sign Berbatov for £29 million + Saha and Silvestre. Ronaldo will move to Real for initial £60 million then additional £15 million dependant on success – so total £75 million – which will be used to sign Eto'o for £25 million
Guti + £10 million for Ronaldo what have you been taking or your probable quite young, Man United to sign Quaresma and di maria, the first can play on both wings so both will interchange with Nani once Ronaldo has gone good riddance. CJ

Newcastle United will tie up a contract for Leeds United youth player Fabian Delph early next week. Maybe not big news but the Bradford born 17 year old a hot prospect and was expected to break into the Leeds first team this season.
However the deal seems to suggest that Delph will indeed stay on at Elland road for the season joining Newcastle's squad next Summer.
This deal could suit both parties with Leeds receiving a fee for the 17 year old while Delph may get some first team football that Newcastle's development team would want.
According to the club, Newcastle's main focus is on youth with chairman Mike Ashley looking to teams such as Arsenal and Man United where top young players are brought through the ranks, the chairman has invested heavily in this department with a view to a bright future for Newcastle United.

Gerrard left the swiss training camp after a bust up with Benitez not because of injury, I hear it may relate to the barry deal and pre–season training methods?
Liverpool will not do anymore business with Villa because M o'Neill was obstructive during the negotaitions over G Barry, this prompted Liverpool to go cold on the deal and sell Carson to WBA.
I also hear Benitez has one signing left to make and is trying to find a way to land Silva, he knows he cannot afford to let Pennant go when he may not get another right midfielder.
Do expect Voronin, Finnan and Alonso to guy either in this transfer window or the next. Benitex know that if does not win anything next season, Real Madrid will be his next step.

and one of Hull or Bolton to make up the three (Both bought heavily over pre–season but one of these will loose out on the final few games).
The League and Top 4
Liverpool to push the likes of Chelsea and Man United with berba (once Tottenham sign Arshavin in the next few days) very hard for the league this year with the Gunners in the mix for the last top 4 place. With the likes of Denilson, Nasri, Walcott, Bendtner and Vela actually proving this year how good they are along with the obvious Cesc, Adebayor, Van Persie. But take Kolo Toure who court malaria over the Summer out the mix their pretty light at the back which leads me nicely into my "surprise packages for this season".
Everton, Pompey and Villa will be sniffing around the European spots as usual but do not rule out the likes of Blackburn (Ince had the MK Dons Playing awesome football when there and kept a miserable Macclesfield side up so he has pedigree), Manchester City (Jo a exceptional player and Hughes is a proven high quality manager) and Fulham (finished last year on a high and with Bullard fit and some good signings in + the like of Andy Johnston to come expect Roy's men to over achieve this year).
But the team most likely to push the Gunners are Tottenham and if you do not believe me check out there starting XL

Hopefully not but still with the service from the likes of that awesome midfield He would be hard pushed not to score 20 goals + and also both Arshavin and Dos Santos can play as a second forward.
I'm not suggesting Tottenham we'll win the league or even make top 4 as most fans predict every year. But a serious bet for the Uefa Cup, League cup and FA cup with a strong push for Top 4 campaign. I love being a Tottenham fan so much optimism at this point in the season then we'll probably head up to Middlesbrough on the opening day and lose to a side that struggled to be Carlisle 2–1 at the home of football "Brunton Park". But that is being a Tottenham fan is all about. "To Dare is to Do"

Would all these Sunderland fans stop going on about Aiden McGeady leaving Celtic. He is a Diehard Celt and wants to be a Celtic Legand. He has signed a new five year contract this month and why would he waste his time languishing in mid table with no Euro football. Frank Rijkard put 2 men on him when FC Barcelona came to Paradise (other teams did the same), that show is you how high some people in Europe think of him. If he went to Sunderland or any other team, apart from the obvious, it would be seen as a step down.

My mate has been doing a bit of work for Craig Bellamys sister an she told him that her brother will be moving back up to Scotland signing for Celtic again
Newcastle United will add three more players to the ranks before the end of the transfer window, two of these will be before the start of the season. The first is Fabricio Coloccini for £11.0 million, the Depor president is worried by the threats he will pay of his contract which will only cost £2. 42 million. The second is Arda Turan for £8.7 million, this deal has been on going and Turan is expected to double his wages. The third is Per Ciljan Skjelbred, they will steal him from under the noses of Blackburn for an initial £2.2 million, rising to £4.0 million after appearences.

If Broadfoot can be shifted on Phil Bardsley will return to Ibrox on loan and Whittaker will be played at left–back or else one of Wallace, Naysmith or Michael Ball (if Hughes can get another left–back in).
Another center–back will definitely be brought in and it's likely to be either Loovens (Ajax were never interested just Cardiff trying to get a good deal) or Berra.
In Midfield Gattuso is 50 percent likely He wants to spend another season in Italy but with Milan only in the UeFa Cup there is a chance he will sign if Rangers get through this qualifying round and get a decent looking draw for the final qualifying round as well as get rid of Hemdani.
Two other midfielders are being looked at as well as a right winger.
