chesterfield are the latest club to be linked with a move for Nicky Hunt who is being released by the millers after losing their no 1 right back.

No we are not he isn't good enough by some margin

No 1 right back? Talbot has signed so were ok thanks.

No1 right back? I thought talbot had signed a two year deal

Brindley was not our number one right back.

Brindley was playing non league and has a lot to learn about league football ( words used by a senior coach) did not play every game but got carried away with his own ego

Alan Gow is open for talks with Gillingham Town and Portsmouth.

01 Jun 2013 07:57:03
Gillingham town? And Portsmouth wanderers I suppose

Gow would bring a wealth of experience to Gills and in my opinion would be a great signing. Martin Allen gets the best out of players and Gow certainly has ability. Not a prolific goalscorer but as we proved last season we don't need one!

Gillingham town?

I'm guessing he'd choose Portsmouth as Gillingham Town are in The Western Football League.

He will be wasting his time there's no interest in him from pompey.

01 Jun 2013 13:04:32
Gow's under contract at ECFC for another year!

With lee being put on the list either Giw or Pack would make a lot of sense!

31 May 2013 23:00:13
Oldham are in talks with former Barnsley striker Marlon Harewood. Believe he's been offered a one year deal by Latics.

Hope not

If that's true then it's a fantastic signing for the Larics.

SWFC reject an offer from Barnsley for the obvious reason - that he would be too much of a threat to SWFC in the hands of Barnsley!

DJ doesn't want O'Grady so why not let the lad go £400k

You offered £100,000 come on you fans must think he is worth more than that.

I agree 100k a bit light, but 400k get real, unwanted player with only a year left on contract,

To the fan who put (hope not)to Harewood, you must not have seen him play,
At your level he will be a big threat,
If you sign him you will eat your words,

250 done deal xxxx

Your having a laugh his goalscoring record non existent you can keep him then

2 goals in 32 games look forward to him being a big threat

Why spend 400k on a player you're desperate to sell?, well get him next year for nothing, that's good business in my book, and bad business by SWFC

31 May 2013 22:38:49
Stuart McCall having talks over the weekend with Man United's Ryan Tunnicliffe, with a view to agreeing on a one year loan deal

31 May 2013 22:31:59

Yep a non scoring midfielder just what we need

31 May 2013 21:48:06
Ipswich towns Luke hyam to be offered new contract until summer 2016, Ipswich moving fast to tie the midfielder down after reported intrest from Leeds and Forrest.

31 May 2013 21:19:26
Swansea City looking at the out favoured spurs defender William Gallas.

No way to much wages mate, they are looking at ognen varjes

Ha no chance

Too old, and won't meet his salary expectations

Too old and overpaid no thanks

31 May 2013 21:03:02
Bradford City have held talks with Stephen McPhail, whose contract with Cardiff has expired.

They're also interested in Simon Church but face competition from more than one Championship side.

Source - Yorkshire based sports journalist.

Would be good to see a Hendrie back at City, but I am shure his dad will give good advice

Bradford have a great youth set up, producing the likes of Tom Cleverley, Fabian Delph, Andre Wisdom & George Green (Everton Wonderkid who they paid £2m for), plus others who are now at the likes of Manchester United & Liverpool whoo are yet to make the grade. So City should be a great choice for him. Not to mention, given his Dad, John Hendrie (ex City legend) who still has strong ties with the club and they both live locally. There could be truth in this rumours and you can bet his Dad is setting it up.

31 May 2013 20:36:51
Jamie Cureton has agreed to join Cheltenham Town FC.

Yes, Cureton has made the move and Kaid Mohamed has gone to Port Vale, yet to be released on website but a great start to the transfer window, Kaid's too inconsistent and finally MY has bought someone who can be a prolific goalscorer, COYR!

Off course it's not on CTFC web page yet all signings for CTFC are announced on this site

Very funny. Has Marlon Pack joined Bournemouth yet. ? ;)

The reason why Cureton has not been officially announced by CTFC yet is because he has not yet signed a contract, as Exeter (with the backing of a mystery investor/fan) have made a last minute contract offer to him to try to retain his services.

Cureton could yet remain at Exeter. Rumour is a last minute offer has been made to retain him following a private sponsor for him to remain.

31 May 2013 20:27:13
Everton to get Darren bent for 4mill

He is off to London. Fulham

31 May 2013 19:59:19
Oxford close to signing Rene Howe, also Akinfenwa has a lot of options including Oxford, Bristol Rovers are favourites for him but he could go anywhere

Rene howe and akinfenwa going southend

Not interested, Elliot Benyon is top priority for JW

Yep southend can have Akinfenwa but rene howe say;s he want's to be challenging for promotion he has been and talked to a couple of clubs but southend are'nt one of them

Why would they go to Southend when they are in big debt?

Can Southend Sign players then? If they owe the taxman money still they won't be getting anyone.

Southend are tinpot regardless of their debt.

Rene Howe was shown around the club not so long ago, although it doesn't mean he is signing I thought ill put the info out there. He does want to go to a promotion chasing club but the staff at Oxford are very good at bigging the club up, Peter Leven a few years back was one

Rene Howe has def been shown around the ground and training ground at Oxford. That's a fact.
Oxford are not interested in Akinfenwa, but have been in discussions with Swindon about signing Paul Benson on a season long loan. Swindon board want him out as can't afford his wages. But Benson wants to stay

31 May 2013 19:18:58
Preston
Jack King in talks with Southend United

He's under contract so you would have to pay for him

31 May 2013 21:45:13
but he is not so stop the rubbish

Not at the moment me old mate. He's in Las Vegas on holiday with his mates. {Ed003's Note - heard of the telephone and agent? }

Jack king is is Vegas. Just saying

Cut the b/s please. There's rumours and then there's just utter nonsense like this.

01 Jun 2013 13:12:21
What's going on with gavin tomlin any news?

I don't think there's a league club stupid enough to take him.

I'd seen this before, just seen it on wiki as well. May have some truth behind it.

31 May 2013 19:14:43
Dundee United boss Jackie McNamara confirms his interest in bringing David Goodwillie back to Tannadice on a Season long loan from Blackburn Rovers. Goodwillie, who moved to Blackburn for 2.8 million pounds from United in 2011, has struggled to make an impact at Blackburn and was around the fringes of the squad last season. Blackburn would have to pay the majority of Goodwillie's wages as United cannot afford them. Aberdeen and Hearts are also interested in the forward.

Motherwell also in on this move

31 May 2013 19:09:45
Kevin Blackwell set to sign Stephane Zubar, Ryan Lowe, and Tom Soares this week.

31 May 2013 19:30:20
Shaun Batt of Millwall going to Leyton Orient!

Good riddance! Their welcome to him! About time millwall!

Hope not, we need a goalscorer. Orient could do better.

01 Jun 2013 13:33:14
Inside source tells me there will be a new addition to the board of directors at the O's during the next month. If it happens, this will be a major coup for Leyton Orient, as this person is extremely wealthy.
This is not a take-over bid, and Barry Hearn will remain as Chairman.

I'd love Shaun Batt to come, he looked great last season when on loan!

Yes, Batt is decent enough as a squad player, but as a striker, he wouldn't score enough goals!
The O's have got to aim higher.

If you need a true assessment on Batt, ask the Millwall supporters.

04 Jun 2013 21:23:20
Batt was a decent player and was knocking the goals in quite regularly but, a serious knee issue put him back a couple of Years and though I liked him as a player he has never really the same. Tony ' the lion'.

31 May 2013 19:02:03
Arsenal have tabled a £12 mil bid for celtic victor wanyama.

31 May 2013 19:00:25
Blackpools Ian Evatt wanted by T'Rovers.

Hate to see him go but his best days are behind him.

Even on a free, Blackburn seem to be getting desperate for players.

The Chip shop owners of Lytham St. Annes are today in morning.

Some lucky Kebab shop owner in Blackburn will be laughing all the way to the bank. !

Just can't see Blackburn being in the Championship by the end of the season. {Ed003's Note - lmfao}

David vaughen spotted at blackpool today. Could he be returning?

Any news of ins and out ed003 {Ed003's Note - not yet,sorry}

31 May 2013 19:00:17
I'm hearing that Tony Watt will be going out on loan next season. thoughts?

Huddersfield town

None really. Who does he play for and what is his position?

01 Jun 2013 19:05:21
at 2, he scored the Winner against Barcelona for celtic in champions league

31 May 2013 18:52:09
Bryn Morris and Jason Steele are both attracting interest from Aston villa, while stoke are interseted in George friend.

Great. just what boro need; interest from the prem for our star players

They can keep their hands off both steele and friend. they are some of the main guys to get the boro back into the premiership

You will have to let go of your star players because I think they would play for prem sides than boro

31 May 2013 18:47:37
Wolves first signing looks to be Nathan Tyson from Derby County

You will be able to get him for free. However his wages will be high.

Around 8-10k he's on here, probably one of our highest earners.
Just don't make him run, he's more delicate than glass

He is in talks with Walsall and is expected to sign next week, sorry wolves :)

More delicate than glass? Bit harsh. Fair enough in his first season spent a long time injured, just like he has done prior to joining us. But last season he was fit for almost the entire time before being shipped out on loan. IMO I don't think he was given a fair chance by cloughy

I'll drive him there myself!

Swap for lee griffiths please

I think Theo Robinson would be a wholesome addition to the squad. Has his critics but I think for the price we paid he has offered us (Derby) good value.

In fact I think we missed both Theo and Tyson as squad members during the second half of the season.

Don't need him anyway! {Ed003's Note - that's sorted then.}

31 May 2013 18:44:23
Hull City are trying to negotiate a deal for Serge Gakpe (fc nantes)

31 May 2013 18:38:09
John Johnson's release from the cobblers has paved the way for Paul Rodgers to make a return to Sixfields next season.

31 May 2013 18:33:40
Middlesbrough's marvin Emnes is likely to go on loan to wolves next season, as a sweetener due to middlesbrough's interest in Leigh Griffiths

Where have boro gotten all this money? shola ameobi, sammy ameobi, luke james, leigh griffiths, ryan noble, and ebanks blake have all been linked just in the past few days

We've cut McManus and bailey and Thompson and arca off the wage bill, Blake is a free, and the lower league players are cheap.

Rubbish! marvin emnes would never play in league 1! wolves are trying to cut their own bill and marvin is hardly cheap.

Why on earth would Emnes move down a league?

Love to see us get lee griffiths

31 May 2013 18:27:38
Several unnamed Premier League clubs have made enquiries for MK Dons midfielder Dele Alli.

Alli, described by ESPN as 'next Steven Gerrard', made several first team appearances for the League One side this season, scoring a 30-yard screamer vs Cambridge City in the FA Cup in November. He has also broke into the England under-17 squad, where he has impressed youth coaches with his passing ability, his flair and his attacking movement.

Alli recently stated in his local newspaper that he wishes to play for Barcelona during his career, and he believes the only way of doing this would be to join a Premier League academy so that his chances of being spotted by a top club such as Barcelona are increased.

However, Pete Winkleman, who understands the potential of Dele, will try his hardest to keep the 17 year old at Stadium:MK for a further season at least so that he can make as much money from him when he is finally sold.

Are you his agent?

Dele's going nowhere for at least two years. He's seen what's happened with his mate George Williams at Fulham and knows he's got a better chance of first team football at s:mk.

Anyway, even when he does go, there's plenty more coming off the MK conveyor belt:Galloway, Rasulo, Logan, Danso, Furlong. All of them are schoolboy or Youth internationals. Add to that Osae, Forrester & Hickford and there's plenty of talent and it's better than the ones who broken through previously like Powell, Baldock, Flanagan and Chicksen.

31 May 2013 23:27:23
Youth and schoolboys will be plucked away from you with this terrible new player development rule.

Whilst the original post is clearly designed to be provocative and sh*t-stirring, the sad reality is that Winkelman would be delighted to sell so he could put some more money into retail opportunities and maybe other non-football activities.

We all know he won't put anything from any potential sale of a player into the squad.

The man is an ambition vacuum.

:- ( {Ed003's Note - do me a favour and register your name as Mr Unhappy please}

I think my :- ( says it all Ed.

"Youth and schoolboys will be plucked away from you with this terrible new player development rule. "

That's what everyone assumed as soon as it was introduced, however the reality is somewhat different. Consider that if you were Dele's agent, would you want him to move now for £100K under EPPP and get your 20% of that deal or would you want him to stay at his current lower league club, get some games and headlines under his belt for a year or two and then take 20% of a Million pound?

Most deals happen because agents get at these kids at young age and engineering big money moves for them was easy money. Now, they'll consider their position and realise that it's actually in a lad's best interests to stay where he is and get the big money when it is actually on the table.

Also, the sort of wage hike for someone like Dele going to Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge isn't enough to make them want to force a move themselves. Even those clubs don't pay their seventeen year olds without a first team appearance that much.

If anyone cared to notice he's just signed a 3 year professional contract at MK Dons. He's going nowhere for now

Unless the right offer comes in. In which case the temptation to sell will get the better of Winkelman and it's yet another coffee shop or burger outlet to be invested in.

Pete Winkelman took control of a bankrupt club that was £35m in debt and had no stadium of its own. It is now just £7m in debt, has a world class stadium and a squad capable of regular top ten finishes in League One. To suggest the man is an "ambition vacuum" is nieve to the point of stupidity. As Peterborough has demonstrated, to survive in the top two leagues you need more than the odd million. You need infrastructure and sustained spending power. The only way the chairman will achieve that is by bringing the various add-on revenue sources (like the cinema and arena) on line. Once that happens we will see greater investment in the playing staff. MK Dons are NOT broke - they are being prudent in the short term for long term benefit. Rant over!

"Unless the right offer comes in"

You've kind of missed the point I made. Agents are the people that unsettle these kids and so why would they want to make 20% of £100K today when they could make 20% of a million in a year?

Without them wanting the deals to happen for their clients then they won't happen, full stop.

Well I hope you're happy to stay in the third tier ad-infinitum.

All this infrastructure that you mention, that won't get us up, proper players and squad depth will, and so far Winkelman isn't making enough effort to achieve this.

I reckon mid-table next season. Hope you'll be satisfied with more water-treading for 2014/14.

Crowds of only 8k-9k in a 25k+ capacity stadium doesn't bode well either. I think interest in the Dons is waning.

:- (

Good rant, and about time someone put him in his place. I want a football club my grandkids can watch, not one that goes up and down like a yo-yo.

Too many clueless impatient fans out there and they're all former armchair prem fans who want instant success.

Stadium MK is a community stadium whose capacity was based on the projected size of Milton Keynes and the estimated size of crowds for different events - RWC2015, Football World Cup and Premier League football as an example. Hardly the sort of decision made by a chairman in an "ambition vacuum" is it ;-)

As to the claim that interest in MK Dons is waning, the poster is clearly unaware that average attendance was UP last season and a record number of Season Tickets were sold.

31 May 2013 18:13:59
Posh are keen on ex-Northampton stopper Chris Dunn.

Would be a great addition. Quality keeper.

R you joking he's s*** we only offered him a deal after we knew civ were intrested

02 Jun 2013 17:37:08
he was a quality keeper

31 May 2013 18:11:52
Former northampton left back Ashley Corker is on the U's radar.

Not a great player

31 May 2013 18:04:24
Cardiff City have bid £250,000 for Plymouth Argyle starlet Tyler Harvey who has also been attracting scouts from Southampton and Norwich

Actually its £80,000

Despite some reports, the offer for Norwich City's Holt by Melbourne is not dead in the water. The Australian club believes there is still a chance to sign the striker, who still has 2 years on his contract.

negotiations are expected to continue for a few weeks. with Norwich holding out for 3mGBP

Na on most reports its says that Plymouth want £200,000-£250,000

Comment 1 is correct it is 80,000 bid, there's a difference between bid & wanted from the club

02 Jun 2013 18:31:58
Anymore Recent Rumours?

03 Jun 2013 21:03:28
100 k for Harvey not 250

31 May 2013 18:17:15
Oxford united are apparently very close to signing Rene Howe from Torquay on a free transfer. The U's are also said to be chasing the signature of Adebayo Akinfenwa with Bristol Rovers

Not sure where these rumours come from. The club never release details of any targets until a deal is done. Howe has been mentioned since the season finished on a number of sites. The big ex Northampton man is a new one. But its the time of the year that contracts have expired etc so lots of comings and goings in next days i'm sure

I can't see the club signing both as there both similar players.

31 May 2013 18:09:44
Willo Flood to Aberdeen is a done deal - thoughts Ed?

31 May 2013 18:06:49
Derby have made a second bid of 750k + add ons for Johnny Russell. Unknown whether its been accepted/declined.

It's been rejected. : ( {Ed029's Note - Confirmed 2nd bid rejected.

31 May 2013 17:56:54
Reading are intending to steal Albert Adomah from under the noses of Crystal Palace.
Palace have yet to make a bid for the Bristol City winger, but Nigel Adkins is a long-time admirer and may nip in with a bid in excess of £1m plus add-ons

It is reported in the Welsh press that Cardiff have already tabled a £1M offer.

Might be something in this as Adomah ripped Saints apart last year

Why would Adomah choose a championship team over a Premiership team? Pretty sure he'll be going to Palace

Cardiff are Premier too

As he still has 12 months left on his contract BCFC will not sell Albert Adomah on the cheap contrary to press reports. There are 4 or 5 interested clubs and a bidding war will push the price for the pacey winger up to £1.5m to £2m

01 Jun 2013 08:42:32
Everyone seems to keep knocking Ian hollerway but anyone who watched blackpool play in the last few years how he improved things, that's on a low budget.

31 May 2013 17:51:58
Kenny Jacket has been appointed wolves new 'head coach' with them having to give Millwall compensation. More money for the transfer kitty hopefully. Just please appoint someone decent, not someone that has failed like Mcleish or Steve Kean.

If Jackett has left Millwall already, which he has, why on earth would Wolves have to pay Millwall compensation?

Obviously you don't understand football and how contracts work they have to pay compensation because his contract didn't expire with millwall

Why did kenny leave I heard it was because of financial constraint

As Jackett was on a rolling contract. In the terms he can't take a job without compo for first 12 months of leaving.

Dean Saunders is 2/1 on favourite to be Millwalls next manager.

31 May 2013 21:36:06
He was already tapped up by Wolves. Just left a gap to announce it so it didn't look dodgy. {Ed003's Note - allegedly.}

Exactly. Don't believe the hype!

He was in his notice period.

Financial constraint? Kenny has had money to spend for ages, he just doesn't like spending it. He's not going to be spending big at wolves as they need to save money not spend it. I do hope these rumours about Steve kean are just rumours though. He will not be welcome at the den.

31 May 2013 17:46:24
Wolves are looking to sign charlie lee from gillingham, as well as alan dunne and john marquis from millwall, with burton, s jaques maghoma also a target

Jacques Maghoma going to Reading, talk is well advanced and can be unveiled as soon as next week.

You can have Marquis!

01 Jun 2013 11:56:01
if dunny and jm are better than what wolves have or can get your in trouble.

Burton also have one of the best training facilities in England in which all the youth England teams and the senior team train before international duty. This would tempt MacDonald a lot more than your little training facilitates

31 May 2013 17:30:46
AFC Wimboldon midfielder Stacey Long might be joining the BORO on a free transfer after his contract ran out and he wishes to move on!

We realeased him he had no choice but to move on

I suppose you don't mean the real boro but Stevenage

31 May 2013 17:14:25
Fulham are in very early stage talks with Jordan Rhodes & could use Rodellega as a make weight as he & his young family miss life in the north west.

Morgan Almalfitano will complete his move to craven cottage in this window but its yet to be decided wether it will be a 3.2m perm move or a loan to perm move

Babel will join on a free once he becomes a free agent on July 1st

Stekelenberg will complete his 3m switch from Roma on Tuesday

Darren bent looks set to stay at Villa as noone is willing to pay the 8m wanted for him

Vydra of Watford/ Udinese is a target for Fulham

Riise wants to move back to seria where he feels he's more suited after struggling to readjust to the premiership & could swap countries with Isla of Juventus who's a major target for Fulham

Sako of Wolves will join by August for 3m in a move that will see Simon Davies & Damien Duff leave

Urby Emmanuelson will rejoin on a year long loan

Petric will join palace

( I work at Fulham) {Ed029's Note - Did Martin Jol leave his PC unlocked again?

31 May 2013 19:23:53
rumor is Rhodes to fulham for 10 million

what an awful deal for Rovers, they paid 8 million for him, Huddersfield have a 20% sell on fee of any profit
Rovers will only make 1.8 mil out of the deal, and when you figured what they paid rhodes last year they'll be lucky to break even
the Rovers board really is clueless isn't it

Fulham will have to stump up a massive 16m for Vydra of Watford

All absolute rubbish, especially the vydra one, as Fulham don't have the £15 million necessary and are not a big enough club to sell him too, as Watford are aiming to be around the same size as Fulham in the next 3/4 years.

You can relax mate, we won't pay 10 million for anyone.

No Ed he didn't leave his lap top open but aslong as I don't reveal my identity I can keep people informed. This is all %100 true.

10m? Are you a rovers fan lad? Is this for real? Making no profit on him? Clueless board!!

Fulham have money we just very rarely spend it. If we spent big every window we would end up like Pompy, Leeds or QPHAHA.

I'll come back to this list in 3 months and see how many of these are nonsense. That should provide me with a laugh.

Some Watford fans are beyond pathetic. You don't own Vydra, he is on the books of Udinese and will stay there next season unless someone puts up the £15mil as you said. He will not be allowed to go back to Watford signing permanently due to his high value and your transfer embargo. Fulham have as good a chance of signing him and the rest of these players as anyone else in the Prem with the money to do so.

Just read the Udinese blog, Mr Pozzo has stated this week, vydra stats unless a ridiculous bid comes in

Fulhams money is as good as anyone's. Giampalo Pozzo turned down a significant offer in Jan so its likely he has a particular value in mind and is happy to wait for it. He's a wealthy guy so not under pressure to sell.

He will come back to Watford if not sold, Giampaolo said so in an interview this week.

It's an embargo under regulation 19. Read the league rule book online to see what that means. It's a conditional restriction rather than an absolute block.

1stly. watford can still sign players under the embargo. 2ndly pozzo has already said vydra is coming back to watfor next season. 3rdly it will take an offer of around £17-£20M to sign vydra.

Another mis-informed Daily Mail reader. Make sure you do some research before posting rubbish.

Watford transfer embargo finishes two days before window closes, so he can go there! Clearly not done your research!

I'm sorry but you're beyond ignorant about the embargo. Watford can sign Vydra as long as the FA pass the transfer which they probably will. This rule was only made because of Watford making amazing use of the loan system.

First off, our embargo does not stop us signing anyone. Second, the owner of udinese and Watford has already said vydra is staying with Watford unless a big offer comes in. do some research before you spout rubbish.

To the guy who said "You don't own Vydra" The Watford owner owns Udinese. Its like moving a fiver from your left hand to your right hand.

1st - Watford don't own Vydra
2nd - He is not saying that Fulham WILL buy Vydra he is saying that he is a TARGET for Fulham. Fulham probably will not buy Vydra if a ridiculous price tag is put on his head.

I think the embargo thing needs to be cleared up. It isn't a punishment that will restrict the signing of players. It only monitors the club during the purchase of a player to ensure the correct paperwork is done and that we know what we are doing admin wise. We can still buy whoever we want for whatever fee. So Vydra will probably be signed on a free transfer to save admin or agent costs, or maybe a small agent fee to keep the scouting network running smoothly.

Theoretically Watford do own vydra, do your research.

Emanuelson won't stay at Fulham - Jol already confirmed it's impossible for us to sign him up again.

We won't get Vydra either.

02 Jun 2013 19:34:50
surely the embargo is over the Danny Graham transfer and nothing to do with the loans

Oh dear, Watford fans thinking they run the FA now as well as being the most arrogant fans on the planet. We'll just have to see what comes out of the summit this week and what the FA decide for each of your transfers. Unless you work for the Pozzo's or the FA board then really you only know what you're allowed to know.

So Watford, now the agent of Vydra has said the player wants premiership football & will not stay at Vicarage rd will you finally except you own no part of Vydra & he could very easily join Fulham as we are very interested in signing him & he's our 2nd major target behind Chadli.

We know the restrictions of the transfer embargo because they have been made public. Not sure why correcting people on their misguided beliefs is arrogant.

QPR are set to offer Junior Hoilett + £2 million for Stoke's Peter Crouch

Sounds good.
Paves way for Cornelius in and Etherington or Pennant out.

Hoilett AND £2m? YES PLEASE!

So hope this goes through, Crouch has been so good for us maybe not worth 12mil but I don't think he has a lot more to offer, so to get money and a good young player is great

Can't see QPR falling for that one crouch is almost 32 and his best days are behind him. Hoilett is 22 and has the ability to be a very good player

Can only see this being possible if the £2m goes the other way TO QPR.

Stoke may gamble and offer to take Jamie O'Hara off wolves

I hope not just a worse Glenn Whelan tbh

Oh please, I'd love this. (wolves fan)

31 May 2013 17:00:27
Barnsley-
Ins:
Chris O'Grady £400,000 from Sheffield Wednesday
John Stead £0 Free Agent
Grant McCann £150,000 from Peterborough United
David Button £0 from Charlton Athletic
Lewin Nyatanga £70,000 from Bristol City
Outs:
Luke Steele to Leicester City £320, 00
Andrai Jones to Rotherham United Season long loan
Jordan Clark to Chesterfield Season long loan

Half of players mentioned are out of contract so won't be costing anything.

Luke Steele is a free agent. wouldn't want Stead, he's done nothing much over past few years. club wants to move forward not backwards.

Steel is free

31 May 2013 17:59:22
McCann is out of contract

Steele is out of contract!

31 May 2013 18:11:47
i think the plans at oakwell will change over the next couple of weeks, the new chairman will have some ideas i'm sure

Not getting Grant McCann he is signing a new contract at Posh!

Jon stead is only a one in four man,
Grant McCann is now as old as god,
Lewin nyatanga is a free agent next month, so am not sure what 70k is for,
Me I would not give a fiver for him, not good enough,
And who is button?
We have much better than these at the club already,
We are supposed to be strengthening?

Charlton paid a fee for David Button just 5 months ago. Why would they just give him away for free when he's still under contract?

We had button on loan. Looked good for us

Steele isn't out of contract yet and why would they buy him for 320,000 when he's a free think you person

David Button is the goalkeeper we had on loan from Tottenham the season before last to cover for the Steele injury

Button used to play for 'us' last season in goal on loan

I disagree! When Steele goes he will be replaced by Kasper Schmeichel.

Yeah Button is still under contract so your price of £0 is way off the mark I'm afraid. that's if we are even listening for offers to him, which I doubt.

Charlton paid £250k for Button last summer and he is still under contract, the only reason he is on the bench is the form of Ben Hamer. He is going nowhere for £0!

Grant McCann staying at posh and being offered a staff job when retired at theposh

Button on a free, that would be funny if it wasn't so far from sane.

Kasper won't join Barnsley, reports suggest a 1. 75mil bid been rejected from hull city

Nyatanga is out of contract so would be a free agent if Barnsley were to sign him. Nyatanga has been offered a new contract at City and will take up the offer as he is a major part of SOD's plans

You who said casper won't sign for Barnsley
He was takein the p1$$

Would love Steele at Ashton gate but he's too good for league one

31 May 2013 17:00:23
Kilmarnock talk to Peter Murphy (Carlisle Utd), Leon McSweeney (Leyton Orient), Nathan Tyson (Derby County) and Martin Paterson (Burnley) for summer July

Tyson is reported to be on a fair whack at Derby. Not saying Derby pay massive wages, but it would be a risk with his injury record.

However he comes across as a really decent bloke, so if true I would wise him well.

Tyson is on between 8-10k, he struggles to put a run of games together, more of an impact player off the bench now. Decent bloke off the pitch tho, he's been good with helping the Derby youngsters.

Not a chance Paterson will go there.

Burnley are going to get celtics ben forster

Haha his names fraser forster

Ben Forster of Celtic? Who? Do you mean Fraser Forster? I doubt we were ever an option he would have considered and now that we've got Tom Heaton - we're not going to have 2 keepers of that level.

31 May 2013 16:59:37
Jon Walter and Glenn Whelan look both set to Be sold by Stoke. The Irish Duo will fetch around £6 million with Hull, Crystal Palace, Cardiff and Celtic Interested

Stoke look set to replace them with Wilfred Bony and James Mccarthy

Lets hope this is true two very over rated players with little passing and mayoral flair all they can both do is run about like a chicken with no head

Why didn't you just say headless chicken

31 May 2013 16:42:20
Cheltenham have turned down the chance to sign Benson on loan from Swindon in favour of signing Jamie Cureaton. Oxford look favourites to sign Benson, but the player wants to stay at the County Ground.
Oxford are to enquire about transfer listed midfielder Charlie Lee and have spoke to Rene Howe at the start of the summer.

31 May 2013 17:22:08
No way will Benson go to Oxford they can't afford him. He knows the vitriol between both clubs and will stay loyal to stfc and more likely he will sign for another club.

How could Portsmouth last year, and Cheltenham afford to take him on loan if Oxford couldn't? i'm sure they could more than match them 2 clubs!
Oxford had Lee Cox, and Kerrouche on loan frm Swindon in the past yr, despite the rivalry. The rivalries mean nothing to players. He may wanna stay loyal to Swindon (who wouldn't on the ridiculous wages they pay)
But swindons board are forcing Benson out. They've proved that by offering him out on loan to clubs, behind the managers back!

Benson wages were allegedly £2,000 a week when at Cheltenham.

Swindon have always paid peanuts so wages won't be high

Swindon paid peanuts?
There budget was 4.5m this season. They've had to let players go this summer because they're on massive wages. And are paying Adam Rooney 8k a week!
That's top Championship wages! not peanuts {Ed029's Note - That budget was transfers and wages inclusive. That's closer to 50% of an average Championship average budget.

31 May 2013 16:40:32
Graham Zusi will sign for Norwich City next week for a fee of £2m after he agreed wage terms a few days ago, Expect to hear much about this in the coming days.

You're the same guy posting this over and over, it is NEVER happening the guy is barely championship standard.

31 May 2013 16:13:58
Man United striker Tom Lawrence to be announced as a Shrewsbury player on July 1st (season long loan).

Town to buy three top flight players through major investment up the town

As if!

31 May 2013 16:12:30
Been told by a friend in Derry that paddy McCourt to sign for sheffield wed

31 May 2013 16:01:08
Ashley Vincent is set to make a dramatic return to Cheltenham Town.
Mark Yates met with the Port Vale wideman yesterday to discuss personal terms after Vincent told Vale he wanted to move away from the newly promoted club.

I chuffing hope not!

I don't think he would step down a league unless he was offered more money. I doubt Cheltenham can offer more money than port vale {Ed003's Note - Cheltenham have money}

MY was speaking to a League One player, but I doubt it was Vincent to be honest with you.

Ashley blew hot and cold at Vale. Hot up until Xmas then fairly tepid after, but to be fair he did suffer an injury. Good signing for any L2 club IMO.

31 May 2013 15:44:48
LEYTON ORIENT in talks to sign LEON CLARKE (coventry).

Clarke has 2 years left on his contract. There's not way orient are willing to pay a fee!

Yea agree. Bazza doesent pay transfer fees. Would love Clarke, but its not going to happen.

Nonsense. Under contract and will cost you a lot of pennies!.

31 May 2013 15:55:57
Chesterfield sign Eoin Doyle from Hibs on a 2 year deal. The 25 year old striker is impressed with the set up at the Proact. Has worked with Cook before at Sligo and the Boss says he has goals in him.

Doyle signed a per contract agreement over a month ago.

31 May 2013 15:54:20
Karim Benzema off to Liverpool as part of Suarez deal

31 May 2013 15:47:39
Watford are looking to sign Suso from Liverpool on a season long loan. The 19 year old attacking midfielder has lacked first team football this season, and will expect more if he goes out on loan.

Won't happen as he does not fit the 3-5-2 system and watford have acess to players as good fromelsewhere but signinng on long term deals

If this is true it probably wouldn't be that bad as I feel as if Abdi needs some competition into making it into the first team

Suso fits fine into the system. In case you haven't noticed, Abdi is also an attacking midfielder, he always plays further up the pitch than whoever else is in midfield. That's why he created 20 goals last season.

31 May 2013 15:39:39
Darius Vassell to resurrect career at sixfields with a 1 year deal.

He'll be lucky, he's a past thought.

31 May 2013 15:30:45
Charlie lee has been surprisingly made available from Gills, and will probably have a lot of interest from L1and L2 clubs who are looking for a combative mid field player. Adam Birchall has also been transfer listed as Martin Allen prepares to bring in new players with Marlon Pack looking the likely replacement for Lee.

Big mistake Charlie lee is a fighter, is MA for real saying he wants to challenge for championship next season when he's getting rid of our league 1 experienced players and keeping Forecast lol.

31 May 2013 15:29:31
Brian Howard to sign for town on a 2 year deal.

31 May 2013 18:45:31
Which town?

There are a lot of towns playing in
leagues!Which one will he be signing for

Why are 'Town' fans so stupid - you keep doing this WHICH TOWN! {Ed029's Note - His previous rumours are about Northampton Town.

31 May 2013 15:26:54
Oxford United to bring in Chris Templeman from Forfar.

Thats interesting. Nothing locally in press of Forums, though think Oxford are planning a pre season in Scotland. So maybe?

31 May 2013 15:17:02
Gregg Wylde to re-join Rangers on a free transfer.

He's been offered to most Scottish clubs for the past few months prior to being released by Bolton so I wouldn't be surprised at all if he went back to Rangers.

31 May 2013 13:36:41
James Shea (released by arsenal) to come to Wycombe for a year, Ainsworth also looking at Josh Rees (arsenal)

Is this after his trial with the Colorado Rapids, where he is right now?

31 May 2013 10:31:44
Aaron Lee- Barrett set to stay at ipswich on a reduced wage after show down talks with McCarthy. However McCarthy will still try to sign a keeper who can compete with loach for the no. 1 spot as McCarthy wants 3 goalkeepers in the squad.

Why would mick change his mind especially for a keeper who is average at best!

I could see this happening- ALB is a very good keeper to have as 3rd choice in the championship and does Mick really want to spend the majority of his transfer budget on two keepers

31 May 2013 10:25:34
Released Aston Villa full-back Eric Lichaj could become Billy Davies' first signing in his second spell as manager of Championship side Nottingham Forest.

Released Wolves winger Stephen Hunt could be playing back in the Premier League next season. The Republic of Ireland winger is in talks with Hull and Norwich

Walsall are close to signing goalkeeper Cameron Belford (Bury) on a one year contract and released Wigan striker Filip Orsula (20) is in talks with the league one side

A fee for Jamie Paterson is close to being agreed believed to be around £1. 25m plus a player joining the league one side on loan as a short term replacement

Stephen Hunt could never find a premier league club. awful rumour

Oh yes of course Norwich want Stephen Hunt! Haha. 100% will NOT happen!

He is a winger

Theres a big chance Norwich will land ince from blackpool for 7-12 million {Ed029's Note - They would never spend that much on a 'risk/punt' from the Championship.

Blackpool won't sell this player.

31 May 2013 15:05:30
Please I'm quite sure that Eddie Howe has stated that he won't be spending big for the upcoming season because he feels that the players he has now are championship standard, obviously people will be leaving the club

31 May 2013 14:49:30
It is rumored that Josh Scott from Dagenham & Redbridge is the ''target man'' striker Chris Wilder is after

31 May 2013 14:45:08
Recently released Hearts winger Novikovas is set to join MK Dons on a free transfer. This will result in the Dons allowing contract rebel Chicksen to leave the club, with Notts County a rumoured destination.

Chicksen is a left back, not a winger, why would we replace a left back with a winger?

Sounds like rubbish as usual.

Sounds like rubbish, correct.

But, incredibly talented footballer. Lovely cultured left peg. If it did happen, I certainly wouldn't complain!

I think "incredibly talented" might be stretching it a bit, don't you?

Chicksen is off to the Championship why would he go to Notts County

He can play both at left back and on the wing. After all, he only made about 3 appearance at left back and the majority of times covering for the injured semy at right back. Then at the end of the season, forcing his way into a position on the wing

Novikovas - incredibly talented footballer? I have seen him play numerous times for Hearts and yes he has a decent left foot, however cannot tackle, doesn't track back, is extremly light weight and basically couldn't get in a team full of kids.

The "incredibly talented" is in reference to Chicksen, who, although handy, is hardly spectacular. I have never heard of that Novikovas fella.

31 May 2013 14:44:18
Crystal Palace are looking at Peterborough's Tommy Rowe.

Would be good in the prem, he plays that standard of football but he won't be cheap!

31 May 2013 14:31:50
Reading are interested in Coventry's Carl Baker as a replacement for Jimmy Kebe.

Haha! Doubt it that would be a terrible replacement.

Under contract so it will cost you a lot of pennies. Pusb. Sisu out sisu out sisu out

"Under contract so it will cost you a lot of pennies. "

I doubt coventry are that flush financially so wouldn't cost that much. Doubt its true don't know much about the guy.

We can't be doing that financially if we are spending £30mil for a new stadium

Flush or not any asserts would not be sold on the cheap do the math.

He said pennies not pounds

"We can't be doing that financially if we are spending £30mil for a new stadium"

coventry don't have that sort of money for a new stadium. get real

We will play at the ricoh next season once a deal has been struck. We will be bought out by either haskell or the asian consortium. our current crop of players are not for sale, they are all under contract and the sales have already taken place. Clarke baker moussa etc. Are all part of the promotion plan. We will be strengthening the squad once we have been taken over.

"We will play at the ricoh next season once a deal has been struck. Thats a lot of ifs and maybe's. Don't assume it will all happen. If you think none of your squad will be sold your deluded.

Yes ifs and maybes. Wait until 8th June I will be proved correct.

And pennies make pounds.

31 May 2013 15:00:03
Karacan is likely to leave Reading for Galatasaray this summer in a £1m swoop

He's been linked with them every window for the past 3 years. He's Turkish and his dad's a massive Gala fan. The press put those 2 facts together and make up this story.

1 million, where do they get these figures from. Its not as if we are desperate for cash. if he goes it will be for a lot more than that!

Just got back from turkey and they all know about him and the story. {Ed029's Note - Karacan has also been learning to be speak Turkish since the turn of the new year!

Same old story gets regurgitated every year. Does anybody seriously think he will go for 1 million. turkey u21, first team regular and contracted to reading for another 2 years, that figure is comical and makes the story completely unbelievable. {Ed029's Note - Depends if Reading get a player in return or on loan. Galatasaray is Reading's sister club don't forget.

"{Ed029's Note - Depends if Reading get a player in return or on loan. Galatasaray is Reading's sister club don't forget. "

That could happen but he will still go for more than 1 million, unless they offer snjieder as the loanee (I can dream can't I)

31 May 2013 14:32:10
Southampton left back Luke shaw has been rumoured to be interested In a move to either Chelsea or Tottenham? What d'ya think lads?

He has always been interested in a move to Chelsea. But Cortese said he is going no where. And the £10 million they offered was far too low in january.

Its not just Cortese who said he's going nowhere. Its Pochettino AND Luke Shaw himself. He is signing his 5 year deal next month and will be with the club for a while yet. He is a Chelsea fan but that doesn't mean its inevitable he will play for them.

If the lad wants to go let him! but only for silly money! Then give his place to matt targget job done end of story no ones bigger than the club? Good luck to him but would be daft to leave!

He has said several times he doesn't want to go anywhere at the moment. He may well join Chelsea in the future but it's not happening in the short term.

He's going nowhere. Signing a 5 year contract in July. His family and Luke himself think staying with Saints is the best thing for his development. He isn't guaranteed a start at Chelsea or Spurs. He will be with the Saints next season. Mark my words.

Money talks

Yeah money talks and we have a lot of it, so will luke come his 18th birthday. Imagine his 5 year contract he gets at saints will be quite a large one for such a young player

Money talks? Southampton has plenty of cash.

Not just money talks, the chance to actually win something will see him move to Chelsea, without doubt, as he has no chance of winning anything at soton

He's going to sighn a 5 year contract? Going to! One thing I've learnt is that talk is cheap! Do not count your chickens. He can walk away and Southampton can do nothing about it? And for a massive payday! I for one hope he stays!

Completely agree he is a young and a very talented lad if he signs a new contract it would be amazing if he goes we need ridiculous money to fill in for him we can't play fox for a season!

He can't walk away at all. He's signed to a youth contract, so no matter what he's at Southampton for 2 more years. Plus Southampton are one of the richest clubs in England with big plans for the future and Luke wants to be a part of that future.

But we beat chelsea lol

He's on a 3 year contract just now so he can't walk away.

Relax, he's still got 2 years on his contract anyway he can't just walk.

Your dreaming, the players and agents call the tune, Chelsea have got players out on loan all over Europe, perhaps they would loan him back, they say clyne is being monitored by the same club.

If saints don't cash in on him they could end up with 3 million that's how clyne ended up at st Mary's, if it goes to arbitration some players are given away. Again I hope he stays.

He has signed a pre contract agreement so he will be signing a 5 year contract. Why would we let Chelsea buy him then loan him back to us just to develop him further therefore costing more than what we sold him for. No thanks, we will keep him on his 5 year contract.
Southampton has got a chance of winning stuff. Swansea and Wigan won a cup.

Clyne was out of contract. Shaw isn't.

With Clyne though that was because he was on a youth contract I think, whereas shaw is getting bumped straight up to a senior contract at 18.

Probably a hefty pay package for him as well. Could comfortably say he will be one of the best paid 18 year olds in the world.

Clyne was out of contract if saints hadn't paid a fee it would have gone to arbitration. If spurs get a big price for bale they also could be in for shaw. Both Chelsea and spurs could have a left back problem. Hope saints had a sell on clause and get a cut of any bale deal.

^ saints did have a sell on clause with bale, but, rupert Lowe got the rest of the fee up front, because we needed the money at the time, so to do that the sell on clause was canceled! Shame really we would have gotten a fair bit out out of it. Never mind.

Shaw is NOT going anywhere, this is not Walcott or Chamberlain again, Shaw wants to stay a Southampton player, his parents want him to stay at southampton, he's a year into a youth contract and has two years left on that regardless, earning what is, a pretty decent wage, he wants to sign a 5 year deal with Southampton on his birthday

I know Luke personally and he's not a person to have his head turned by money, he wants to play football and he's guaranteed that at Southampton, he will be staying.

And we did have a sell on deal for bale but swapped that for 2million (i think) and Tommy Forecast the season before we went into admin

02 Jun 2013 11:45:41
It makes you wonder if with cortese connections in Italy saints could be on the radar of Italian clubs who are looking to have slice of the prem league buying up clubs.

Are you sure Luke shaw has signed a contract?

31 May 2013 14:30:51
Albert Adomah is Burnley boss Sean Dyches main transfer target this summer with a 1MIL bid expected this transfer window

He is on his way to Cardiff City

Adomah is on his way to turf with baldock won't want to go to Cardiff and sit on bench plus will be key player at burnley next yeat

Burnley would be a good move for Adomah, guaranteed 1st team fooball and with Tom Heaton already signed up and the likely transfer of Baldock it wouldn't take 2 minutes to settle in.

Adomah and baldock to turf moor for a combined 1.5million pounds, both want first team football and want it at a decent level also dyche to bring in Brentford pair harry forrester and harlee dean

31 May 2013 14:12:59
Derby County have finally met the asking price for Dundee United striker Johnny Russell. Bid accepted today (Friday) the player will travel south soon to begin negotiations.

Celtic do have the opportunity to come in for the player, however at the moment it looks unlikely because they are unsure about their own transfer situation regarding several key players.

950k, apparently although nobody can be certain because it will be an undisclosed bid.

And of course believe nothing until you see Russell signing announced on the dcfc website, this just what I have heard.

Why would Russell need to bother travelling to Derby, all he'd need to do was look on a map if he doesn't know where it is and say "Nah, I'd rather move to Italy. " Having said that, a mid-table champ side like Derby would be a great place to further his career in terms of exposure

I don't get Dundee United fans at the moment. Everyone on the planet agrees moving to Italy would be the better choice for Russell to advance his career and for Scottish football.

BUT the Italian bid was very low in comparison with the derby bid, so for the benefit of Dundee United you would accept the rams bid.

I also agree Celtic would be the better option for the player too but it looks like Celtic aren't going to come in for the player.

Derby are a fantastic club, people saying the championship might be more hoofball than the SPL, you could be right I don't know I don't watch SPL but derby cannot play hoofball we play excellent passing football.

Why so negative about this Dundee United fans : (? We are giving you an excellent amount for a player with one year left on his contract.

Russell going on holiday Saturday tommorow

01 Jun 2013 02:45:40
Wrong the Italian teams last bid was £800 000. And the Derby bid was £500 000. And Goodwillie was sold for 2.8 million thought it was £2 million myself. The point is both are or were on the last year of there contract. And Russell is the superior player, equally as good on the wing or up front. He has no interest in playing in the championship. He is smart enough to know the Italian move, is once in a life time stuff. Good on him and good on Dundee United bringing through such a talent, a credit to there youth system up north.

The latest Derby bid was £750,000 plus add ons. I've heard it has been rejected. {Ed029's Note - Confirmed rejected.

31 May 2013 13:47:39
Chris Iwelumo is linked with Scunthorpe and is likely to join within the next week.

Next 48 hours. Norwood, Grimes and a Midfield man are set to also join soon

Norwood isn't joining.

Hello eds,
Any interest from PL clubs in Marco Reus of Dortmund?
Cheers! {Ed003's Note - try the euro soccer page mate}

31 May 2013 13:39:15
As mentioned earlier re Barry Robson, this deal is done and news to be released come 3 / 4pm

Also just been advised that Willo Flood will be signing on Tuesday and another deal next week to be finalised is the loan signing of David Goodwillie

Willo Flood has now signed for Dons

notts county in talks with qprs sean derry.

Derry just signed a new contract at qpr

31 May 2013 13:13:41
Rumours that Southampton are interested in Peter Odemwingie as well as Fulham and Crystal Palace.

Not sure I'd want him at Southampton after the situation with him at West Brom and deciding to leave them to go to QPR without having received the clubs blessing. Let him go to Palace or Fulham.

I'd be surprised if we buy any of those three. not good enough :D

Definitely not. too old

Keep him away from SW6

I agree. you can keep him away from SO14 aswell

Didn't he die in the Green mile? Just saying

Wouldn't want him at Fulham.

31 May 2013 13:13:21
Wimbledon are to swoop for former northampton starlet alastair slowe.

Ex Cardiff player Elliot Parrish interesting Neal Ardley and talks with Rennie Howe for Torquay

There is no chance rene howe is in talks with us especially with the teams rumoured to be sniffin around him who can offer higher wages to what we can

Same goes with Danny Hylton as Crewe have declared an interest now. I'd still like Akinfenwa as he'd take pressure off Midson up front but I doubt he'd fit in with Ardleys "dynamics"

Slowe was not a starlet at Northampton. He failed to even make the bench when we were terrible and looking at dropping into the conference.
The limited look I had of him in a friendly he looked like his name slow (e). he did not stand out. perhaps he has developed? I still wish him and you well as I do with any ex cobbler. But reckon he may be a bench warmer in L2. {Ed001's Note - I just wonder how much it cost his dad to get him a place at Northampton etc.}

31 May 2013 13:05:25
Shrewsbury to sign adam morgan on loan from liverpool for the season and gary madine from Sheffield Wednesday on a two year deal

31 May 2013 15:24:37
the same adam morgan who as agreed a season long loan to preston from Liverpool

Who is he, we don't want him anyway

Adam Morgan is not at Preston?

Looks a real talent for liverpool reserves and would do well at town

31 May 2013 12:54:20
Derby will miss out on Jonny russell as he will sign for Celtic!
Nathan ake on loan 6 months confirmed soon
The race for a new striker will continue as derby will try and sign will grigg or paddy madden

We can not get good players like them

01 Jun 2013 11:58:50
Celtic have said they don't want him

31 May 2013 11:59:49
If Luke Steele leaves Barnsley then Barnsley will sign one of three players on a free.

Lee Camp
Adam Legzinse (sorry spelling)
Frank Fielding

Neither fielding or legzdins are available on free transfers

Not true, Fielding and Legzdins under contract. poor story

One year contracte he's 28 lot ov years left yet it's a joke a love my reds come on steel is good we need to keep im

Legzdins and Fielding are still under contract, but available, so will not be free transfers. Camp has been released, so is on a free.

Luke Steal going knowhere as he's hapy at Barnsley.

31 May 2013 12:08:54
Former Stoke goalkeeper Steve Simonsen who finished last season at SPL side Dundee making 8 appearances wants a move back south of the border

Simonsen was released by Preston in January and joined Dundee in march to regain match fitness is in talks about a move back to England with league one side Walsall but is also attracting interest from league 2 sides Bury and Plymouth

Plymouth have already signed Luke McCormick and Jake Cole has signed a new contract, why would Argyle need another keeper?

Why would Plymouth want him. We have Jake Cole and Luke McCormick. We need no more GK's.

Nah argyle already have the two best keepers in the league no need for another

Not true, first, plymouth have just agreed to re sign Jake Cole our number 1 keeper and backed him up with another solid keeper Luke McCormick, also why would he want to move from one end of the country to one of the most southern league clubs in the UK

Argyle have signed two goalkeepers already, the returning Luke McCormick and Jake Cole on one year deals. Doubtful that Argyle would be in for another.

Why would Plymouth want another keeper? They already have Jake Cole and Luke McCormick

I doubt Argyle will want another keeper, poor rumour.

I don't know why but something tells me plymouth argyle have signed two goalkeepers allready.

We get the message!!

Simonson has held talks with Blackwell at the Crowne Plaza Speke

It's not hard to work out why there are so many similar, It takes a while for the messages to come through, so all came through at once, that's why there are so many similar.

Stuckmann stalling on a new contract while Declan Rudd looks increasingly likely to return to Deepdale on loan next season. Sourced from the LEP.

31 May 2013 13:52:50
stuckmann is close to agreeing a new 2 year contract at preston

Not if Rudd signs on loan

He won't sit on the bench and there's enough clubs out there that can increase his wages and make him their first choice goal keeper if he wants

Blackpool will confirm the signings of Jose Baxter and Leigh Griffiths by the end of June

31 May 2013 13:46:07
griffths is staying in Scotland and baxter wants to win the league which won't happen at blackpool

And the only thing Baxter would win at Oldham is the raffle for who brings the oranges in at half time.

After Ince, Matty Phillips, Coleman, Bannann, Del Fonso and Joe Hart have gone on to become quality footballers after playing at Bloomfield.

Maybe Baxter wants a chance at the big time

Baxter would have at least the same chance of winning the championship with blackpool as he does winning league 1 with Oldham, a good cup run doesn't make them a good team.

Also griffiths' mind might change if he was given more money (he could get more money even at blackpool than Scotland) and the opportunity to play a higher standard of football in front of more people.

To be honest I wouldn't say delfounso has become a "quality player" after leaving blackpool considering he scored 6 goals in 40 matches

A host of Championship clubs are weighing up moves for Brighton defender Adam El-Abd, .

El-Abd is out of contract at Brighton next month and as yet no new deal has been agreed with the long-serving defender.

The news has alerted a number of the Seagulls' Championship rivals with the 28-year-old possibly being available on a free transfer.

El-Abd has established himself as one of the best defenders in the Championship and has been instrumental in Brighton's success in the last couple of seasons.

The powerful central defender has made close to 300 appearances and the Egyptian international is a big fans' favourite at the Amex Stadium. (From tv)

On the way to the riverside 12. 5k a week

He will sign a new deal

He is average and spends too much time focusing on the wrong things and not defending properly. At best good squad player.

He won't go to boro

I would expect him to sign a new contract as he is Brighton thru and thru

He is a sqaud player not first team, we don't want him we are moving forward towards prem

He's a good centre back, strong, good in the air. But he's not one of the best in the championship. He's a good player to have in the squad.

Adam is the best central defender we've had since Steve Foster. IMHO. He has been stifled by Gus' style of play.

Why is it brighton fans are so delusional in the fact that they see themselves as this big club. You may have an alright stadium but it doesn't mean your a premier league club. If you add up the amount of time brighton have spent in the prem and the championship together they have still spent more time in league one which is quite funny really. The playoff semis was the biggest game for you in a long time 2 0 Doown and the majority of the fans leave, quite disgraceful really. The second biggest game in a long time for you lot at leeds only 2000 turned up. Oh I forgot that's a lot to you. Your home support was good but a lot more teams have done better in recent years such as teams in league 1 like when leeds and Norwich achieved higher attendances or west ham or leeds despite the fact they missed out on the playoffs. I really do think you lot need a reality check especially now tony bloom has been found out for not actually having any money and that means your total budget is 10 million which is the reason why your egotistical and ironically also delusional despite the fact the best achievement he has had is 4th placed in the championship despite having an astronimal wage budget and transfer budget

Tony bloom has no money? 100 million of his own cash on the stadium, 30 million on the new training ground?
Very silly comments, as for lack of gates? 26000 average? 23000 season tickets sold for next season.
Yes club have some growth issues, ie a manager who wants 5 million extra on top of his budget. With the fair play rules coming, clubs are going to have to run within reasonable guidelines.

Adam is one of the lowest paid at the club, so if he is going to stay at the Albion they might have to double or treble his wages

Stifled by Poyets style of play?! That will be El-Abd having to convert from being a head it and boot it merchant to a ball player. As for the Steve Foster comment you must be a 1983/2013 jump on the band wagon merchant and don't know much about the years in between!

I said the gates are good but not as good as most brighton fans make out due to those reasons of a lot of other clubs getting better gates. Also your away support is average at best. If tony bloom is so rich why is he giving poyet a 10 million budget for next season including wages

He's lived and played for Brighton for a long time. Brighton's his boyhood club.

Adam El-Abd and David Lopez was offered contract extensions by Brighton two weeks ago and they still havn't replied. Hope Lopez stays, but let El-Abd go. He's a sub player.

The transfer budged offered to Poyet next season is 10million.

Because football is a business. You can't just throw 20 million for a bloody transfers. They have to slowly build as a club. Brighton has the best average gate last season, and we always bring a good number away. We aren't a big club, our goal is to become one, and slowly, we will become one.

2 years at the AMEX and already the highest average attendance in the championship. As for Leeds, did they fill their stadium once during the season? Its been hard for you since your prem days but you're going to need those extra gate reciepts this year to make the playoffs.

If the transfer budget was 10 million I'm pretty sure any championship manager would be very pleased as that is a lot more than all championship clubs including cardiff, hull and Leicester etc so I doubt he was unhappy with that {Ed029's Note - Not when it includes wages.

01 Jun 2013 18:53:11
Sorry who had the highest attendances in th championship? Oh yeah brighton, as I can see your a little Leeds fan who is a bit bitter that they finished a long way bellow brighton. We have very little English players and can draw in Spanish talent like Vicente and Lopez and ulloa, where as Leeds just draw in thugs like diouf. Each year brighton improve, we play the right football not the kind Leeds play, next year is our year! Bloom 3 richest poker player in the world - think he's got a bit of money he spent 115 million on a stadium?

This surely means there is money problems at the club as for example leeds was a very poorly ran club who had a budget of around 10 million and that meant our squad was littered and still is littered with free bees. This also means that brighton like leeds can only pay the players 7. 3k a week. This is the wage figures of a relegation battle team not a promotion chasing yet like leeds the fans and te board expect promotion. It is impoosible

I find it quite comical that you think leeds can't draw in top quality players. Have you seen the players who have played for us in not just o er our great history whilst you endured mostly league one football in a stadium that was practically falling down but also in recent times. Yes leeds have not played good football this season but for pretty much our whole history we have played entertaining football and yes you will probably bring up us being dirty because like most you jump on te band wagon and fail to properly analyse our football. I saw a book written by brighton fans and all g with te club called living the dream. What a joke were in the championship living the nightmare whilst your in the championship living the dream.

The reason we only took 2000 to leeds is becouse (1 we were already the only team confermed in the play offs and people would want to save money for that and (2. wel its leeds ( we beat you so there.

You were not confirmed, that win confirmed the playoffs for you. If you didn't win that you still probably would have got playoffs but not confirmed

El Abd is crap and should stick to rugby like his brother, can't head can't pass and more interested in grappling with players can go with poyet!

Leeds fan ~ your living in the past mate, history. And surely if brighton can make 4th with a smaller budget and Leeds can only make 13th that's 7 points of relegation, with a bigger budget. Who took 4 points off you this season oh yeah brighton. Now go hide from the Millwall.

Brighton had a much bigger wage budget and transfer budget than leeds. Our highest transfer fee was 500,000 whilst you have spent a lot of money on your squad. Whilst our squad is all free bees but luckily that's changing

And also milwall hide from us, they brought 163 people to elland road on a Saturday whilst we sold out our allocation on a Sunday when the game was on sky.

They only brought 163 people due to your ridiculous policing. had to be picked up and escorted to the ground. the ones that went were treated like prisoners, not football fans wanting to watch and support their team.

We only took 2000 becouse leeds is a little club in freefall we had play offs to pay for good luck next season it will be a relagation fight for you

The same happens to us most away games, only 6 of our away games were normal 3 o clock kick offs, we have to do all the same as milwall but all of our away games are at ridiculous times. At elland road it was 12 on Saturday at the den it was 12 on sky on a Sunday just so they can stop us turning up in full but it always fails. Like all our Friday night games even against brighton.

Also the policing has nothing to do with leeds now anyway we've just won a lawsuit to stop us being affiliated with them which won us 1 million poi pounds. It has nothing to do with the club. The same happens to us every away game

Most of the comments on this post are ridiculous and El-Abd may not be of premier league class but is definitely good enough to start in a championship side
This is from a Bolton fan

I heard that Tony Bloom offered gus 30mill for transfer budget but Paul Barber told him he was only allowed 10mill

Brighton haven't got the money to spend £30m on transfers. We've already £9m in debt already

Walsall close to agreeing a contract with former Manchester United striker Michele Fornasier and ex burnley goalie Jon Stewart.

He is not a striker he is a defender

You mean the defender Michele Fornasier who is out of contract in June?

Michele fornasier is a defender actually and from fiorentina origianly so if not going to make it at utd will go back to Italy o and I also now this for a fact so there you go.

Stewart he is only just conference level

Derby to sign Nathan Ake of Chelsea and Stefano Denswill from Ajax on season long loans after talks with Derby CEO Sam Rush, manager Clough and Derbys' dutch coach Jonny Metgod who has worked with these pair with the u-21's for Holland.

Jonny Russell from Dundee United turns down Derby (fee agreed but contract terms, wages and bonuses the issue) so Derby will turn back to sign James Vaughan from Norwich and make another move for winger David Vaughan from Sunderland.

We have made an improved bid for Russell.

Nathan Ake on loan, depends on what Moruinho wants because Rafa was involving him in first team proceeding towards the end of the season.

Would be an excellent addition to upcoming campaign.

David Vaughan isn't a winger?

That ake is lousy. Played against our U18's and was very poor

How is Steve McClaren doing. Isn't he 'supposed' to oversee our new Orange overhaul?

Maybe having a ice cream with Russell's agent.

Can't remember Russell being dutch!

31 May 2013 11:02:27
Norwich to make a move to sign Andros Townsend, they would be prepared to buy him upfront but would prefer a season long loan with an end of season option to buy

Sounds great! Sign him up!

31 May 2013 22:03:02
Yes, I'd bet on it. apparently so would Mr Townsend

31 May 2013 10:33:18
Ipswich will look to get St Mirren star Paul McGowan if they are unable to tie up a deal for Harry forrester which is now becoming more unlikely by the day.

Tough call but I'd probably take McGowan over Forrester as he has more experience at a highler level in the SPL.

Why exactly is a deal for Harry Forrester becoming more unlikely by the day?

I think he is close to signing a deal at either Aston Villa or bolton

31 May 2013 10:22:01
Cheltenham Town manager Mark Yates met with Preston defender Chris Robertson yesterday to discuss a possible move.

31 May 2013 13:51:48
robbo will do a good job there

Chris robertson is in orlando at the moment so doubt it!

He came back 2 days ago

31 May 2013 11:09:53
afc bournemouth keen to sign swindon striker adam rooney for free after he is in contract rows with swindon and is likely to hand in a transfer request

also bournemouth will put centre-back joe partington up for sale for 200-300k as he is not championship quality.

Maybe not, but the asking price seems to suggets otherwise.

Rooney? Don't make me laugh! He was poor in a poor Swindon team

31 May 2013 15:01:03
Rooney was a Birmingham player on loan at Swindon, he is now a free agent, so no truth to this rumour. Swindon I believe had offered a contract previously but aren't interested unless as they have reduced the offer. He isn't Championship quality so hope he does go to Bournemouth.

31 May 2013 15:48:17
i wish people would get there facts right. Rooney is a Birmingham player on loan to swindon so all the nonsense of rows of contracts at swindon is rubbish. Rooney is no way a championship player otherwise why do you think Birmingham didn't want him.
Bournemouth by the sound of it and according to Bournemouth fans the Man City of the championship. Believe me bournemouth fans you have been bigging your selves up and there a lot of big clubs in the championship and you are one of the smallest.

Rubbish. Rooney not Championship quality and Partington has just signed a new contract. He's also not worth anywhere near the price you quote.

31 May 2013 16:43:11
Rooney has only just become a full Swindon player so he won't be leaving

31 May 2013 19:10:11
Eddie's note daft. Stats wise, we came 7th in all Leagues, which suggests Eddie & co are good judge of players etc. Bear in mind around a 1/4 of season we played under Groves/Brooks, so that skewed things. Eddie & Co seem to be a good judge of player. In Edward we trust! AFCB

What Bournemouth fans have been saying we're the Man City of the championship! I don't think that & nor does the mejority of other fans. It was only a few years ago we were almost gone from the football league so the mejority of us are cautious & modest at where we are. I just hope we survive next season.

I will get the Facts right! Bournemouth have the third richest man in Russia on the board!
Money talks!
Birmingham have No money and might go into Amin.
I and others get tired of fools saying we are a small club!
Yes we are like Man city and wake up because we are going to come out fighting!
P. S the Russians want the Premier League.

AFC Bournemouth have 3 Russian billionaires sitting on their board of directors, with the backing of the largest oil and gas firm in Russia. Quite frankly, and if they wanted to, AFC Bournemouth could out bid any club in the country! Scott Parker has been offered a house on the Sandbanks Peninsular, along with a mega bucks payday to finish his career alongside his cousin Harry Arter in the centre of AFC Bournemouth's midfield. {Ed003's Note - they might not want to live together though ;) }

When have we said we are the man city of the championship? The newspapers called us the man city of league one last year not us. Don't you lot worry about the championship leave that to us. You just concentrate on survival in league one, wish you luck.

You've been reading too many papers again lads. The papers call us man city on the coast not us!

We don't think we're the Man City of the championship!. ah, our new 3rd kit has just ripped off an old City classic

01 Jun 2013 11:28:02
Sick of people knocking B'mouth. Most AFCB fans are sensible enough not to make big boasts. However don't underestimate us. As for size. Look at Burnley, Wigan, Blackpool. If they can make it into the Premier, then why is it not possible for AFCB to do it? We have a far bigger potential Fan Base (we've sold nearly 5,000 season tickets) which considering our ave gate last season was around 6, 500 is amazing amount. Best just wait & see exactly who we sign. I'm sure there will be a shock or two! UTC

Calm down a bit some of you lot we're not a big club and we will definitely not be signing Scott Parker. If you were a realistic bournemouth fan like most you would know staying in the championship is the aim

I understand Swindon fans not being happy with us as we took their best player for next to nothing but infortunately that's football. For years we were having our best players taken by other clubs on the cheap and it used to vex me but then I looked at the bigger picture, from the players point of view you can't expect him to not want to progress up the leagues and better himself financially and from the clubs point of view it keeps the club ticking over. It's only just now we have turned into a buying club so I understand your fury. I really wish you all the best for next season and hope Swindon find stability, I do believe if it wasn't for your financial difficulties at the end of the season you would of probably made automatic promotion. Football is a funny old game and things happen quickly, 3 years ago we were almost out of the league and Pompey were lifting the fa cup. Things change quickly so just enjoy the ride at our respective small but wonderfully colourful clubs.

01 Jun 2013 15:00:50
AFC Bournemouth just released new kits look really good for Adam Rooney to wear when he signs

Sold 5,000 season tickets that's a lot for a championship team, lucky you have a wealthy backer then

But WE ARE a championship team :)

I think dafty missed the point of the 5000 season ticket sales comment. You'll have to explain it more depth for him, although I can't see percentages being a strong point for him

Rooney was on a season loan to us, with a pre agreed contract on 8k per week for 2 years, he is a Swindon player, but we would offload him for free because his wages are ridiculous, he isn't a bad player, but I can run faster than him when I have 20 pints in me.

No didn't miss the point. Just saying 5,000 season tickets for a championship side isn't a lot tbh and again its lucky you have a wealthy backer. What does your ground hold at a guess no more than 10,000, most of the bigger clubs in the championship will have more than 10,000 season ticket holders and some of them will take more than 5,000 away from home

Rooney's pants and not worth bothering with. Partington needs to get fit and get out on loan - he's just signed a new two year deal so somewhere like Oxford, Burton or Northampton would do him the world of good!

Why would you want to sign adam rooney, he is absolutely barely league 1 level. you have a big squad anyway and he would struggle to make the 3rd team let alone the 2nd

31 May 2013 11:04:26
Boro to enter second round of talks with ebanks Blake next month when he returns from holiday, Mowbray keen to sign a striker but will not offer ebanks Blake same wages that he had at wolves, however financial fair play means rival clubs will not be able to offer same wages either UTB

Learn how the financial fair play rules work. Clubs can spend what they want on wages. The fair play rules only apply to a clubs overall debt.

Real Madrid to offer 35m + Benzema to Liverpool for Suarez

If only, would be over the moon, but I believe it's way of the mark. Red Smoke.

Barry Robson due to land in Aberdeen today to sign for 2 years

From a reliable source!

31 May 2013 10:30:06
Ipswich to sign stearman from wolves as mick McCarthy looks to play 5 at the back this season with cresswell and Hewitt as Wing backs. However wolves will demand a fee of 500k - 1 million but mccarthy feels its worth it for the right/centre back who might of Saved ipswich's season last year.

Stearman deserves a move as he did a lot for ITFC. Don't see us forking out more than £500k though!

We have the players to play the 3-5-2 system which you are suggesting. However, Mick is known to be a traditional 4-4-2 manager which he has had success with and I doubt he would want to change his winning formula now.
Although a 3-5-2 system will most likely be practised should the need arise to change the formation during a match for tactical reasons.

Best of luck with Stearman but he is not a right back.

Doubt the formation mick has always been a 4-4-2 man

Stearman played right back for us his whole loan spell and did fantastically well so I'm afraid I don't really see your point.

31 May 2013 10:48:36
Yakubu ex Everton striker, currently playing in China is heading for talks at Blackpool. Boro, Birmingham and Aston Villa also interested

Isn't he on 100k a week in China, Oyston won't pay more than 100 quid a week.

Are you actually serious, you think yakubu (earning over 30k a week) is going to come to blackpool?

Please can I have some of what ever you have been taking. unless of course Karl has started paying players in South African rand then he would be on at least 120,000 a week

31 May 2013 10:46:10
Cheltenham's midfield dynamo Marlon Pack is set to sign for Bournemouth with the Championship having agreed a compensation package with Cheltenham of £60k.
Pack will then return to the League 2 club on loan for the upcoming season.
Pack has expressed he wants to move to a higher club and play higher, however after last years ply off misery he still feels he has a job to finish at Cheltenham.
Bournemouth have agreed to Packs request to spend one last year at Cheltenham, with the league 2 club paying 50% of his wages for the loan period.

Could easily be Bournemouth. Could easily be £60k.

But the sentimental tripe is a bit odd. Don't bet on Bournemouth allowing a player to go on some kind of revenge quest.

31 May 2013 10:15:26
Jamie Cureton has rejected contracts from Bristol Rovers and Walsall to sign for Cheltenham on a one year deal.

Yup. Good bit of business by CTFC, but will only be proven as a success if he scores the predicted 15-20+ goals.

Rovers did not offer JC a contract. He was fishing for one but the club want to go for a different forward.

Phew hope so not what we would want at the banks stadium thankyou. we are going places this year but not with journey men

31 May 2013 10:12:06
Dundee United this morning have accepted an improved offer of £950,000 from Derby for striker Johnny Russell.

Where have you seen/heard this?

Cheyenne Dunkley linked with moves to Stockport and Halifax Town

31 May 2013 09:59:17
Steve Kean to be announced has the new millwall manager by the end of the weekend!

A web site mentioned Mark McGhee was getting the job. What do wall fans think of that?

Please no jb not kean! macleish has to be 1st choice surely please?

Don't want mcleish or kean. Mclaren, Wise, babbel or coyle would be seen as a good appointment.

31 May 2013 09:57:17
Free agent Carlton Cole will sign for Real Mallorca within the next week

31 May 2013 09:50:32
West brom interested in nathan redmond. Any deal would see george thorne ( if he can prove his fitness after knee injury ) & scott allan go to blues on loan

George Thorne won't go on loan, he's our back up to yacob and mulumbu

If he's the back up, help

He's 19-20 and getting better with every game, unfortunately he had a bad injury. I see no reason for "help".

Not understanding the "help" quote he played a part last season and played well during his games before injury. Bit of a odd statement

Forget Redmond he ain't good enough for us

He's awful he's just big and strong nothing special worst midfielder we have other than Allan.

He looks more like a centre half, and he is home bred

Has anyone actually heard Odemwingie say he wants to leave since mid march-April? I think all he has done will be forgotten regrettably, and he may just stay with us

'He's awful he's just big and strong nothing special worst midfielder we have other than Allan. '

So a young lad who has played for England at every level bar U21's is awful? Either you're posing as an Albion fan or don't have a clue about football

31 May 2013 09:50:20
Cheltenham movements confirmed in local press:
Jamie Cureton (one year deal from Exeter)
Brian Saah (two year deal from Torquay)
Luke Rooney (arriving from Swindon but not sure if loan or permanent yet)

Mark Yates speaking to Tubbs from Bournemouth for season loan.

Outwards Marlon Pack has offers from Peterborough, Charlton and Sheff Wednesday. Bournemouth and Derby also interest but no contracts offered yet.

Kaid Mohammed signing for Port Vale and Darryl Duffy going to Falkirk after both players refused one year deals on reduced terms.

CTFC looking quite ambitious this season! Cureton almost confirmed, and could be a great signing if he scores the goals.

Saah is a reliable defender and would be great with Elliott.

Not so sure about Rooney but who knows, he could do a good job.

The CTFC rumour mill is starting to take some shape at last - not one rumour here that looks completely false!

Cheltenham going the same way as Swindon as they clearly can't afford to pay all these players wage demands

Who wants to go to cheltenham little team big talk

It never pays to disrespect smaller clubs, it has a habit of coming back to bite you, and deservedly so! From a Posh fan.

^^^swindon found that out with Bournemouth last year

31 May 2013 09:47:57
West Brom will sign Mbokani this summer for a fee around the 6 million mark, as their other main target Bony has been targeted by Chelsea for 8 million euros.

31 May 2013 12:44:09
Sinclair and sakho would also be great wingers to sign youngish with decent potential to develop

Mbokani is having trouble with his english work permit, would be a good signing for us though

31 May 2013 12:26:46
West brom to sell odemwingie and olsson and bring in Redmond, hutarda and coates respectively as replacements also should sign popov, mbokani, Rodrigo and cas knoester

Why do we have this gigantic academy with decent kids and then we go out season after season buying unknown foriegn players, one kid out of the youth thorne after five years plus, what's the point, ashworth worked in the academy and still went out eyeing foriegn players, villa put there kids in why didn't we,

Because most of the kids are awful. You'd rather not have Olson, yacob, Mulumbu etc and play 18 year olds that go out on loan to league 1 for a reason because they're not ready to play in the prem. you go on about villa look where they'd be playin their kids without benteke. Stupid

I'm guessing you want us in the same situation as villa fighting for survival, not fighting for Europe

01 Jun 2013 17:23:51
Yeah ok then so that's why he was played against Manchester United and praised for playing well

Albion are improving every year so just give them chance and save your b. s till the end of the season

There's this word "chance" that's all these young players need a chance at the highest level to gain experience to one day turn into great young talent

Exactly why our international team is rubbish our kids don't get that chance and so the pool of English players gets smaller, taken by more established foriegners, hence no need for an academy, its only there to give people a job, not to produce the next bryan robson.

Tonight Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain totally proved my point

31 May 2013 09:37:29
Posh linked with Kyle Mcfadzean from Crawley again after Gabriel Zakuani's refusal to sign a new contract

Luke freeman from Stevenage was also seen at London Road this morning.

And also heard through the grape vine that we are looking at Leigh Griffiths from Wolves. Fergie works wonders with hot heads!

Freemans in USA on holiday so that ends that rumour

31 May 2013 17:22:16
Any one know when the new crawley kits going to be released?

01 Jun 2013 08:08:51
Crawleys mustafa dumbaya has signed a three year deal with van cover white caps. Look it up on net.

NO mention of it on the Whitecaps site, so not official. yet.

31 May 2013 09:21:58
So looking ever closer to Paterson becoming a town player regardless of price, James Vaughan will no doubt get the contract he wants as Dean Hoyle and Mark Robins will see him as a must buy. that would leave room for two more strikers and a center half maybe depending on what's happening with Joel Lynch? Then Robins would have 3 starting 11 players for each position, which would make sense and provide competition and cover.

So any rumours about full backs or central midfielders would be false unless we're selling Hunt etc.

Therefore the others I'm putting out there to be signed are Johnny Russell (I know he was Grayson's target but he fits the mold of young, relatively cheap around 1mil and proven track record that Robins was after), Danny Haynes (free agent why not eh?!) and Harry Maguire (was excellent for Sheffield United last season and is only 20, if not to town another Championship club will be interested)

3 players for each 11 positions? A squad of 33 is surely too much. What about wage bill? player happiness etc.

Harry Maguire wasn't excellent, he was slow and every mistake he made lead to a goal. it was his mistake what lost the play off semi final. plus we turn down 3 mil for him from newcastle. good look getting him!

Hull city to sign kasper schmeical with Cameron Stewart going the other way

You might well be signing kasper schmeical but you won't be getting Kasper Schmeichel. You can keep Cameron Stewart too.

Pearson bid 1. 5 m for him last year but he hasn't played much since then

Cureton set to be unveiled today. I stand stunned, having doubted it for a long old while. Fair play to CTFC if they have managed to negotiate this one, let's just hope he remains prolific!

Scunthorpe United are hoping to complete the signing of Watford striker Chris Iwelumo on Monday.

Good luck to him I hope the move works out well for him. An honest player who unfortunately found his "goal" touch had retired

A real pro is Chris, always put in the work at Watford even when it became clear that he was surplus under the new ownership. Good luck to him and whoever signs him. Could still do a job in league 1

Paul Turnball set to join Gary Johnson at Yeovil.

Thats just taking it to far we want decent ex northampton players not rubbish ones, paul turnbull can't even score at non league

No he's not

Oh yes he is.

Oh no he isn't

You've just plucked this out of the air, he's stated he is settled where he is

Settled at no club hmmm intresting still can't see him signing for yeovil though

After his release from Manchester United Luke Hendrie will be training with Bradford City over the summer, with a view to signing.

Reported interest from Leicester City, Leeds United and Derby County and IFK Gothenburg also.

I don't know about IFK Gothenburg but out of Leeds, Derby and Leicester Derby County is the obvious choice. Their youth integration is very good and a manager that will give the young ones a chance.

At the larger clubs it is very difficult for the younger players to progress through. Although united (under fergurson may I add) were very good at this. Teams like Leeds and Derby should definitely be looking at players that just haven't cut it at the very top clubs.

I believe he'd be better off at Derby, although it's Huddersfield Town that seem to sign Man U's youth rejects.

At Leed's we have our own successful youth set-up that is flourishing at the minute and I believe if we were to use youth, it'd be with our own and not someone's cast off's. (my personal opinion anyway)

Ipswich very interested in released Bayern Munich winger Dale Jennings (ex Tranmere)

A lot of press linking him with a move to Blackburn. if I was him I'd go with town as more chance of first team football and more stability as a club.

He's a striker not a winger.

I'd be very happy to see him coming to Portman Rd.

Alan judge went to blackburn doubt they would want jennings to but he is a northern lad

Blackburn really are going to ruin the league this year

He is good mates with cresswell reckon if he stays this could sway him to sign for Ipswich

Id love to see him breakthrough at BM but to save his career he needs to move home and if he does ill bet on him playing for england

Im a tranmere fan and dale jennings is a amazing player you should real get him

Yeovil town will be signing dean parrett and harry kane from spurs. Parrett is to leave spurs so will join free to yeovil and harry kane will sign on a 3 month loan.

Not ant truth in the Parrett rumour, he showed early promise in his 2011/12 YTFC loan but fell out of favour and the fact GJ did not get him back is a strong inidication he is not in his plans, especially for the Championship. Add to that the fact that Parrett blew his loan chance at Swindon. Ryan Mason is out of contract and I suspect would be a target. Kane would be very welcome on loan I am sure if it suits all parties.

Harry wants to stay around London area - school friend

Well that's funny because he will happily loan out to Leicester and Norwich City, Yeovil is a massive opportunity.

Jason Steele to leave Middlesbrough and join Man City, fee reported to be between £5-7m with appearance bonuses, add ons and sell on clause. Boro to replace him with former academy player Ross Turnbull, who has been released by Chelsea.

Bad post? Mogga has worked hard to free up some cash for a promotion push. we have players to sell and off load there wage bills. players like Danny Graham and Chris Brunt won't be on huge wages at there clubs. don't be so negative. there is a whole transfer window open and i'm sure we will land some quality players.

It would be a sign how good our goal keeper was last season but I don't think he is ready for premiership just yet. after playing every game of a season I don't think he will want to bench warm for Joe Hart.

Jason is more clever than going to sit on the bench for 5 years, having said that he would probably overtake hart as no. 1 in a few yearse

Would sell him for £7 million but can't see him ever playing ahead of Hart. Would surely hinder his development in the much the same way as Turnbull's move to Chelsea did for him.

New city boss would never go for him, as he will be bringing in his own people. And I can't see boro selling one of their most outstanding players and one of the most successful. He has also pledged loyalty to boro! UTB

Arsenal are set to bid for Jason Steele, I would really like to keep him like every boro fan, but how far would 5 - 7 million go in helping us building a squad for promotion, there is a lot of good quality free players about by the looks of things, maybe 7 million would get us that Xtra star that we need, utb {Ed027's Note - Incorrect, Arsenal want a improvement

Steele is 10 times better than fabianski

Steele has rejected one move to arsenal, he won't go this time either, or city. he wants 1st team football not bench warming because he wants to get in the england squad.

He should be in the England squad ahead of butland

Steele would get a game at Arsenal because Schezeny is nothing special and steele would have more chance of international hope t a top club

Hartlepool and Notts County interested in signing John Cofie.

Bradford are reportedly interested in signing Peter Murphy and Tommy Miller whilst Nahki Wells is receiving interest from Leeds, Southampton and Bolton

Like the drink, only not spelt the same?

John Cofie is a united striker youth guy

Preston North End, Tranmere Rovers and Carlisle United are looking at the possibility of loaning Alex Henshall from Man City.

Pne already have 2 left wingers, so won't need another 1 on loan

Carlisle United looking to sign Hartlepool's Antony Sweeney for 100k

We won't be spending 100k

Carlisle don't have money to spend nd why would they pay £100 thousand for him

Stefan Kibling of Bayern Leverkusen being approached by Southampton for 18m. Top scorer/striker in Bundesliga this season & wants a route into Premier League.

You mean Kiessling?

Looks a great signing, hope this ones true, he looks to have had a decent carreer through the german international ranks

st stuie

No way. Keissling was top scorer in Bundesliga, can do much better than Southampton.

He's not the type Cortese would sign. Especially for such a price tag. Cortese signs young players in the hope of seeing their values increase rather than paying full price.

Love this to be true, but doubt he will come to us

What rubbish. Saints wouldn't want him. He's too old at 29 for Saints, top scorer or not. Saints look to integrate players. Not buy them for a potential big sell on as incorrectly suggested.
If I am wrong, please advise of any players that Cortese has ever sold on to cash in on a big fee?
Kiessling would more likely be be a Hammers target. Saints are more likely to sign Schurrle

What rubbish. Why would Saints sign a player who will be 30 next season. Top scorer in the Bundesliga or not. Nothing to do with the sell on fee as suggested above. Just that he will be too old to settle into the team.
Cortese has never sold a Saints player for the money, but we would be more likely to go for Schurrle as he will have time to develop

Can you 2 please stop embarrassing our reputation of our fans by showing a lot of us as being deluded (thinking we are going for Schurrle). Schurrle has pretty much joined Chelsea there is no chance of us going for him. Even if Chelsea weren't in for him he will be looking to play CL football next year.

He never said we were signing Schurrle, just used him as an example of players we'd look to sign

Cortese would be mad not to sign Kiessling, he is an immense player! He will not come to SMS however.

Steve Gibson has gave Tony Moybray one last chance this season, if he finishes in the top 6, he will let him stay but if not moybray will be sacked. Tony moybray has no more excuses as all of the strachen signings and high wage players will be gone by next season.

He needs time give him as long as he needs assuming we are making steady progress tony Is our long term manager and the man to take us up

UTB

It's a done deal!

Jacques Maghoma has signed for the BORO with Danny Graham and Chris Brunt to follow him :D

It's gunna be happy times at the Riverside next season.

Why would Brunt go there when he is captain & a regular at WBA?

Really? Graham to leave Sunderland after 6 months. How will you afford his transfer fee and wages?

Right. So Chris Brunt and Danny Graham are going to leave their respective PL clubs where they are first teamers to sign for Boro in the Championship? Balderdash

Bristol city set to use forest links to sign jamaal lascelles from Nottingham forest on a season long loan with a view to a permanent switch in the future. Sean O'Driscoll sees him as the ideal signing for the much speculated centre back position and one for the future.

NEVER going to be perm, I can defo see a 6 month loan for jamaal lascelles to gain experiance, he did it on loan at stevenage. last season was a injury nightmare for him

I can believe the season long loan thing but really can't see them selling him forest think he is going to be special

Season long loan = yes
View to buy = no chance

You live in a dream world. Lascelles on loan with a view to a permanent switch is utter nonsense.

I can definately see a loan move happening if we show some interest. I can see him being the next Caulker. Permanent move not so much. Would be a great signing IMO

Plus Lascelles signed a new 4 year deal earlier this year

He will be in the Forest team in the near future, I will be surprised if he goes out on loan, transfer yes Man u, Arsnal, Chelsea or Man City.
