Middlesbrough are interested in signing two new strikers in the January transfer window to Bolster their strike options with Kike and Nugent the only strikers at the club after Stuani has made himself first choice right winger. On Karanka's list are long term targets Rhodes and McCormack, both will require a £10m+ deal to be considered by their current clubs. Also on the list are young guns Patrick Bamford and Valencia's Santi Mina, however both deals would only be on loan.
Middlesbrough could also look to Bolster the midfield after it emerged loan stars Stephens and Zuculini are unhappy with their lack of opportunities at the club, Mark Davies has been touted as a possible option whilst an audacious effort to bring Joe Medley to the club could be made, however the player would want to be a first team fixture and Karanka cannot promise the player a starting berth ahead of midfield pair Clayton and Leadbitter, two of Middlesbrough's most consistent performers.

Stevens went back to Southampton at least a month ago and there is apparently prem teams in for bamford and McCormack so doubt we'd get either of the two now but fingers crossed.

Rhodes and McCormack are 2 strikers that we have enquired about, but not placed a formal bid. Karanka admitted that he is looking for 2 replacements to cover Jack Stephen's and Bruno Zuculini's departures, one of these notably being Mark Davies. Aiden McGeady and Darren Gibson are also being monitored and this could be a possibility as Roberto Martinez is good friends with Karanka.
Expect some business for the left side of our team as Husband has been sent to Huddersfield on loan, and Carayol to Leeds on loan, Wildschut has been sold for £1million plus expenses, so expect a quiet but busy transfer window. Wouldn't mind an ambitious signing like Crouch or someone at his standard.

Kenneth McEvoy expected to sign a permanent deal with York City following his release by Tottenham.
An inside source tells me that Leeds full back Sam Byram will sign for Everton during 2016, January or summer currently unclear because he is in to the last 6 months of his contract with the Championship club and it is unknown whether Everton wish to pay a transfer fee.

I have heard a lot of rumours circulating around Northampton Town in the last few days that striker Marc Richards could be sold. Loads of clubs are interested including Luton Town, Oxford United, Oldham Atheltic and Notts County.

Would love him back at Barnsley, the type of experienced goalscorer we need but doubt he would he leave Northampton especially with them challenging for the title and dropping to teams who are not even in a Play-off fight or will be relegated to League 2 next season.

Aston Villa are going to be relegated so why don't we give the youth a chance to see whether any of the are any good to play next season. We have nothing more to lose but the youth can gain experience.
