Heres a shocker diego forland has hinted at a return to man u –Diego Forlan would be welcomed back at Manchester United, according to one of the club's first–team coaches.

The Uruguay striker has been in impressive form at the World Cup finals in South Africa, netting three goals as he helped his country to a place in the semi–finals.

Forlan now plies his trade with Spanish side Atletico Madrid after two unsuccessful years at United saw him move on from the Premier League club.

The 31–year–old managed just 10 league goals during his time at Old Trafford, but the front man has since transformed his career in La Liga.
A successful spell at Villarreal earned a move to Atletico, who he helped guide to Europa League glory this season by seeing off Fulhamin the final.

The revival of Forlan on the world stage has led many to wonder what went wrong whilst under Sir Alex Ferguson's stewardship.

But one of United's backroom staff – Rene Meulensteen – says the problem was the timing of the move for the player.

Welcome back

And the Dutchman revealed he would happily see the former Independiente man back in a Red Devils jersey on his current form.

Meulensteen told Voetbal International: "Diego was at the wrong place at the wrong time. But we had some individual training with Diego, for months we worked hard.

"I told him, 'what you learn here, you will take with you'. You are a player who adds something to every squad.

"He has developed fantastically, so complete – a top athlete. I really would welcome him back to Manchester United."

Meulensteen said he sent Forlan a text message after he netted both goals in the victory over Fulham, reading: "Top class, if it's up to me you will return to us."

The striker reportedly replied: "I am ready for it."––––––––––ronan

Okay first things first

Torres and Gerrard are NOT leaving!
New Owners are close! July 15th may not of been to far off after all! Expecting something start of August.
One big name signing will happen almost right away.
Who that is i don't know, guessing it will be a striekr as desperately needed. Aguero has been linked.

Roy Hodgson does know who he wants to sign so all the people saying its too early are talking absolute rubbish!

Expect
Mascherano to go for £25mill+
Gerrard and Torres to stay
Babel to stay
Riera to go
One big name striker signed
New Owners within the next 4 weeks
A cheapish defensive midfielder to replace Mascherano, Parker/Barry/Cattermole spring to mind.
VDV and Honda are being monitored but so are around 50 others but a move is possible.
Turan will come if Honda doesn't in deal with Riera.

Yo,
Just thought id have my say on what i heard about the goings on of Money Bags Manchester City even though I'm a Villa Fan. So far they have spent just short of 60 Mil on 3 extremely talented players but they need to improve there strike force and so far rumours about them signing Yaya Toure and David Silva have been true but to complete the triple target they need to sign Edin Dzeko.

Here is who I think Man City Will and Wont Sign

Mario Balotelli – A strong future prospect dubbed the future of Italian football as he is a extremely talented forward and also he may want to work with the man who nurtured him while he was the academy – £12 Mil

Edin Dzeko – One of the stand out player in the last 2 season of the Bundesliga and another talented forward who could easily fit into any team hower a clause in his contract says he will not be sol if there it not an offer of 40 Mil Euro's unless the player hands in a transfer request – £28 Mil

Aleksandar Kolarov – The Serbian defender has been linked with a number of top European sides after catching the eye with his performances in Serie A over the past couple of seasons and Mancini has admitted a interest – £16 Mil

James Milner – The player on the tounges of all Man City and Villa fans. Personally I cannot see where Milner would fit in due to the signings of Toure and Silva also Man City are refusing to meet Martin O'neills price tag of £30 Mil for the talismanic midfielder – N/A won't happen.

Editor what to you think also Man City fans feel free to comment as i would appreciate your views

PsX Con {editor's note – left back has to be the priority for City, they were weak there last season and they released Sylvinho. I would guess it would be one of the usual suspects (Kolarov, Taiwo etc) they go for.}

I have also heard a rumour about Ryan Babel and £35million going to Villa park with Milner and Young going the other way, Villa are targeting Scott Parker , Carlton Cole and Shaun Wright Phillips apparently I would love this to be true but im not sure if this will happen to be honest.

03 Jul 2010 22:24:49
This isn't cast iron but its from a very good source who says it is definately on the cards.
It seems that the financial crisis is still taking its toll on Derby County's american owners. There is serious talk of them pulling out and putting the club (if no buyer is found v.soon) into administration. To quote someone high up "the parent company HAS to come first, and Derby would have to be collateral damage, if it came to that".
Does this just mean cutting their losses?
Im asking for updates daily but nothing new's happened in the last few days.
This worries the crap out of me!! And my source!! Surely this won't happen? Anyone else got any information?

Liverpool have targeted a few players and if they get them they will be very strong, Hodgson wants to keep Mascherano but is willing to offload Benayoun, Babel, Riera, Krygiakos, Cavalieri, El Zhar, Plessis, Degen, Nemeth and Itandje in order to raise funds to add to the £15m he has been given and these lads should raise upwards of £30m, good old Woy is targeting LM–Ashley Young{£18–20m} , RM–Joe Cole{free} , CB–Gary Cahill{£8–12M} , LB–Reto Ziegler{£7–10m}, GK–Wayne Hennessey{£2–3m}, CM–Rafael Van der Vaart{£8–12m}, ST–Jovanovic{free} I can't see Roy getting all his targets but any of these players will be quality additions and I think Young and Cole would be the most useful with 3 of our wingers on their way out of the club.

Liverpool have just agreed a fee of 35million plus Ryan Babel with Aston Villa for James Milner and Ashley Young. From a very very reliable source. She said the next step is agreeing a contract with James and Ashley.

you know we don't have donkeys running this club. we have randy lerner and oneill. milner will go to city for around 30 million and if we sell young he will be at least 20 million. we could 50 million from those two so why would we sell for 35 . THINK !

––Dude, 35+Babel in the current market is circa 50.

roadster. {editor's note – having watched Babel's performances for Liverpool over the years I would say it was more like 20m ;o)}

EFC NEWS – From Down UNDER
David Moyes will wait for his WC players to rejoin the squad before deciding to sell or not. He will assess his options once he has a full squad of players together. This could be the end of the likes of Yobo, Pienaar & Yakubu. However, Moyes did state it will take possibly a year to see the best out of Yakubu so he may stay.
Moyes this year has been fairly quick to sign Mucha, Beckford, Joao Silva, Gueye & Abdullayev(W.P).
Onuoha set for talks once squad return from Australia. Also, if Moyes decides to sell Yobo and Pienaar, he will go out for a tripel Belgian raid for Axel Witsel(Liege), Stephen Defour(Liege) & Jan Vertonghen(Ajax).
Outgoings will be:
Baxter – Oldham (Loan)
Ruddy – Celtic/Motherwell 2mil
Carlo Nash – Released.
James Vaughan – Bolton 2mil
Victor Anichebe – Stoke 4mil
Yobo – Stoke 4mil
Pienaar – Spurs or Rubin Kazan 10mil.

Leeds are to make a shock signjng this week with a 7 figure bid been accepted by Nottingham Forrest for center forward Dexter Blackstock. Blackstock currently has 3 years remaining on his contract, reasons for Forrest willing to sell are unknown.

WHATS UR SOURCE MATE

Dream on. A) Forest wouldn't sell B) Leeds don't have any money C) Dexter loves it here
In other news, dierby to loan 1 more player because they're skint and Leeds to sign.noone!! :–) (But that won't stop every player under the sun from being linked with them.by leeds fans obviously)

{editor's note – thanks mate, do you think it is real or just paper talk to drum up a sale? Lille seem to be looking to offload him this summer.}

I BELIEVE THE STORY, BUT I BELIEVE THE AMOUNT BID HAS BEEN EXAGGERATED SOMEWHAT. I THINK THE BID OF 18.1M IS SLIGHTLY HIGH FOR A FIRST BID SEEMS DI MARIA ONLY COST 20M. BUT THIS DOES SEEM TO BE A TRICK THAT REAL AND MAN CITY SEEM TO BE DOING, FOR EXAMPLE REAL BID 28M FOR DI MARIA, IT WAS ACCEPTED YET THEY STILL BARGAINED THE PRICE DOWN AFTERWORDS, MAYBE ITS A PLOY TO UNSETTLE THE PLAYER THEN THE CLUB ARE FORCED TO ACCEPT A LOWER BID?

WHAT DO YOU THINK ED? {editor's note – I suppose it could be, it is an interesting theory that is for sure, and I wouldn't put anything past Real Madrid.}

How many people have frieds working in Thorpe Arch and Elland road? Its not O2 or HSBC. It aint full of office blocks.
Stop telling lies to other Leeds fans becasue its really starting to annoy me.

realistic Leeds rumours obviously not all will sign just possibilities:

–Russell – Free Norwich (Looking close)
–Simpson – 500k Arsenal (Not good enough?)
–Neil Collins – 300 k Preston (Would be very good)
–Lloyd Sam – Free Charlton (talks ongoing woyld be decent)
–Hooper – 1.6 Mill Scthorpe (Grayson did not deny or confirm this on the LUTV interview when asked if he was a target)
–Marlon Harewood – Free Villa (terrible Player)
–Brian Stock – 1 mill Doncaster
–Chris Riggot – free Middlesborough (Decent player but not first choice 11)
Dexter Blackstock – 1.2 Mill Forest (would be a good signing)
Nyron Norworthy – Free Sunderland (a total donkey, don't want him)

Loans:

Tom Cleverly – Salford united (Would be good for us and him)
Micheal Johnson – Man City (really rate this guy, big potential)
Fabian Delph – Villa (Due to recover from injury in december would be good for us, should never have left Leeds, we are better at bringing kids through than villa, a wasted tralent there)

Doc said at 03 Jul 2010 18:29:28:

"Obviosly you do not see complete picture about Russian tycoons.Gues how come Zhirkov ended up in CFC. This guys don't need money, they do buisness with simple handshake or agreement. Mr Roman Abramovich is Governor of Chukotka and he is one of representatives of Primeminister Putins power. Do you really think that CSKA oweners have nothing to do with Abramovich or Russian government. CSKA is russian government program. Trust me if any player from CSKA comes to EPL it will be CFC."

I have no idea whatsoever about what you are saying. You originally stated "Considering that Mr.Abramovich is one of CSKA oweners……………..." and all I did was correct you to explain that Roman Abramovich has never at any point in time been an owner or part owner of CSKA Moscow.

What possible explanation do you have for your latest post?

Sharkey.

CUT AND PASTED FOR YOU EDITOR BREAKING NEWS

REAL MADRID & BAYERN MUNICH FAIL IN £18.1m BID FOR LILLE FORWARD HAZARD

3 Jul 2010 16:21:00

Lille midfielder Eden Hazard is subject to failed €22 million[£18.1m] bids from both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, according to Le Parisien.

The influential Belgian is seen as one of Ligue 1's top playmakers, and as such LOSC have put a price tag on his head believed to be in the region of €30m [£24.8m].

Hazard made his league debut in 2007 at the age of 16 and already has 12 caps for his country.

His performances for Les Dogues have won him the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year award twice, as well as a nomination for the overall Player of the Year award.

Neither Bayern nor Madrid have confirmed their bids, while LOSC have yet to announce the reception of any offers, but the French newspaper nsists that concrete interest in the youngster is mounting.

Hazard is under contract until 2014. {editor's note – thanks mate, do you think it is real or just paper talk to drum up a sale? Lille seem to be looking to offload him this summer.}

Southampton could be looking to South Africa to try and find some Young Talent. Scouts we're sent at the start of the World Cup and a three names have been taken.

Cameroon Young Defender Nicolas N'Koulou (AC Monaco)

Chile Attacking Midfielder Alexis Sanchez (Udinese)

Ivory Coast Striker Seydou Doumbia (CSKA Moscow)

MATE, WHAT ARE YOU ON ABOUT, SANCHEZ IS BEING LINKED WITH MAN UTD, DOUMBIA IS PLAYING FOR A CHAMPIONS LEAGUE CLUB, AND IM GUESSING N'KOULOU WOULD MOVE TO A CLUB IN A LEAUGE THAT WOULD TAKE HIS CAREER FORWARD, NOT TO A CLUB THAT WOULD TAKE IT BACKWARDS

To the bloke who said:ROY HODGSON HAS ALREADY SAID THAT HE WILL NOT AND CANNOT RAID FULHAM FOR PLAYERS IN THIS TRANSFER WINDOW. SO MURPHY AND HANGELAND IS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN, VDV IS ALSO UNLIKELY WITH REAL MADRID TRYING TO USE HIM AS A PAWN TO GET GERRARD, IF THEY DO NOT ACCEPT THEN WHY WOULD THEY DO BUSINESS WITH LIVERPOOL?
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
if murphy and hangeland hand in transfer requests and fulham accept the players wishes then hodgson is well within his rights to bid for the players .
plus liverpool have been doing business with real madrid for years e.g Owen, Alonso, Nunez, Arbeloa to mention a few. so think before you post utter rubbish chap.

swag juice – IF YOU LISTENED TO ROY'S PRESS CONFERENCE YOU WOULD KNOW THAT HE HAS NO INTENTION OF BUYING FULHAMS PLAYERS AND ALL OF THOSE DEALINGS WITH REAL MADRID WAS TO SUIT THEM, NOT TO HELP OUT LIVERPOOL YOU NUGGET, THEY WERE GLAD TO GET SHOT OF NUNEZ AND THEY TOOK OWEN, ALONSO AND ARBELOA FROM YOU! THERE IS NO FRIENDSHIP GOING ON THERE ANY PLUM WOULD KNOW THAT. THEY OFFERED GAGO OR VDV IN A SWAP DEAL FOR GERRARD, EVEN THIS IS JUST PAPER TALK, I WOULD FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE VDV WOULD PICK LIVERPOOL OVER CHELSEA, UNITED AND ARSENAL AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME, A TIME WHEN HODGSON DOES NOT EVEN KNOW IF TORRES AND GERRARD ARE GOING TO STAY.

EDITOR DO YOU THINK LIVERPOOL AND REAL MADRID HAVE A "SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP"? AND DO YOU THINK ROY WILL RAID FULHAM? I THINK THEY WOULD ALLOW MURPHY TO LEAVE FOR COMPASSIONATE REASONS IF HE ASKED BUT THEY WOULD NOT LET ANYONE ELSE LEAVE AND NOR WILL ROY TRY AND BUY ANYONE ELSE, NOT IN THIS WINDOW ANYWAY, DO YOU AGREE ED? {editor's note – there is definitely no special relationship, and Roy has no intention of signing any of Fulham's players this summer, not even Danny Murphy.}

Joe Ledley will not sign for Cardiff City. He is going to choose between Celtic, WBA or Stoke. Craig Bellamy is close to completing a year long loan to Cardiff after CCFC agreed a deal with Man City. Jason Koumas is having a medical on Monday 5th June down Cardiffs training complex. These are very true, The source I am using is very accurate and previous tip offs include Leon Britton to Sheff Utd and David Villa to Barca before anyone else.

Joe will not re–sign for Cardiff.
Tell Koumas he's almost a month late, not a great way to impress potential new employers!

BREAKING NEWS: Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Edin Dzeko from Wolfsburg. The only issue is the transfer fee.
According to Sky sport Itlatia Manchester United have offered 40m euros for Dezko but Wolsfurg want 60m euros which United will not go to. I do not know whether this 40m euros includes Dimitar Berbatov. Wolfsburg are intersted in the striker and Ferguson wants to replace him. If United cannot agree a deal for Dzeko they will move for Benzema from Real Madrid. A bid of around £25m – £30m would probably be enough to secure him.

STOP TALKING st, HE HAD A BUY OUT CLAUSE OF 34M TWO WEEKS AGO, IF UNITED WANTED HIM THEY WOULD HAVE BOUGHT HIM THEN. DZEKO IS WELL OVERRATED, BERBATOV IS MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN THIS GUY, HIS TRUE VALUATION WOULD BE AROUND 18M UNLESS CITY ARE INTERESTED OF COURSE, TEAMS WILL WANT DOUBLE FROM THEM. IF FERGIE HAD 25M AT HIS DISPOSAL THEN BENZEMA WOULD HAVE BEEN BOUGHT BY NOW.

Ed you think any big signings will get signed by arsenal i really wanted ozil at the club hes young and talented and would fit perfectly into the arsenal system {editor's note – in a word, no. I really don't see Arsene making any big signings, he wants to get rid of the debt on the club as soon as possible. The only way I see Arsenal buying big is if they have a poor first half to the season and Wenger buys big in January. Otherwise he will be happy to make the top four and pay down the debt each year, I believe. You should be glad – he is thinking of the club's future as well as the present.}

WHEN ARSENAL BORROWED THE MONEY FOR THE STADIUM AND PROPERTY BUILDS THEY HAD A 22 YEAR TARGET IN WHICH TO PAY OFF THEIR WHOLE DEBT, WENGER HAS DONE PRETTY WELL AND HAS SHAVED ONE OR TWO YEARS OFF OF THAT TARGET, THEY OWE JUST 203.6M AND THEY PAY OFF AROUND 12M A YEAR PLUS PAY THE 16.6M INTEREST PAYMENTS. ARSENAL HAVE 17 HIGHBURY PROPERTIES LEFT TO SELL AND AROUND 70 PROPERTIES FROM ANOTHER SITE, THIS WILL KNOCK A FURTHER 40M OFF WHEN THEY ARE SOLD SO IF YOU SAY THEIR DEBT IS AT 163.6M AFTER THE SALE OF THE PROPERTIES THEN IF YOU TAKE 12M A YEAR AWAY, ARSENAL WILL BE DEBT FREE IN AROUND 14 YEARS. SO WENGER HAS SHAVED OFF AROUND 3 YEARS BY BEING HIS STINGY SELF.

FOR THIS REASON HE WILL NOT SPEND MUCH AT ALL, NOT UNLESS HE IS FORCED TO, WHEN CESC LEAVES I GENUINELY BELIEVE HE WILL BE REPLACED, HE WILL BE REPLACED BY NASRI AND IN GOOD TIME RAMSEY WILL TAKE THE REIGN. IN MY OPINION WENGER WILL BUY –

KOSCIELNY
CHAMAKH
CAMPBELL (1YR EX)
SCHWARZER
DIAKATE OR BOUGHERRA

DO YOU AGREE EDITOR? {editor's note – I fully agree, Wenger is intent on getting the club debt–free as quickly as possible so that they will be stronger in the future. I think he should be applauded for putting the club's future first.}

To the guy who said cardiff are going down under. I don't think so pal. If we were going down under, why would we be looking to bring in big name players such as bellamy, giggs and co. We cancelled our malaysian tour till next year cz our owner that it would be better to get some pre–season games in first. And theres no chance were going under, cz our owners are loaded. So check your sources again mate

You aint looking to bring in big names mate – that's just a bit of fun on here and a bit of bravado from your CEO. The tour was cancelled because the club can't afford it and the so–called tour to Portugal will also be called off. Your players wages have been late for the last 5 months on the trot and you have no rich owners – you have some rich people who have 36% of the club, not owners. The paltry 6m they put in is gone. The club is skint, if you want to ignore it that's up to you. The info I posted is 100% accurate.

Actually cardiffs owners do have money and have assured fans there is no major financial problem any more also the tour to malaysia hasnt been cancelled it has been postponed until next season and the players have been paid the past three months so what you posted isn't 100% true at all just jealousy because you probably support some crap team

I assume this muppet means Newcastle and Nile Ranger coming to us ?
A) Maynard won't leave unless its a decent prem club
B) City wold want 5.5 mill plus
C) Newcastle will struggle to stay up next year and finally
D) Ranger is a accident waiting to happen is what I hear is
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Newcastle have played 16 of the last 17 years in the top flight, Just because we had a breather at your level for 9 months doesn't make useless.

We are after Erding from PSG a talented proven top level striker not lower league rubbish from championship also rans.

Ranger will be a superb player, Far too good for your club, He's played virtually every england youth level and has more talent in his little finger than Maynard, He likes the night life so i doubt he'll join your rabble unless he's started liking the wurzels and barn dancing..

Liverpool Rumour
I heard that should Mascherano leave Liverpool a bid for Milner will be placed, he has stated that he would like a move to Anfield. Not to sure how this would work would he be played in a central role? Arda Turan deal is all but complete, scouts have been watcching him for the best part of a year and have made a move, as a result he has been in Liverpool over the last few weeks. I have been hearing lot about Aguero being the big signing this Summer, would be great to see him at Anfield, however it seems increasing unlikely to happen, dispite his Father–in–Law's encouragement.

TO THE GUY WHO SAYS THIS 03 Jul 2010 15:57:45
To the Celtic fans claiming they are going to sign Bellamy. Please stop making fools of yourselves by claiming this. The guy could still play for a reasonably big team in Englands top flight. Why would he come up to play in Scotlands 2nd best team in history??

You can never say never, but it just wouldn't make sense.

Does anyone have any realistic old firm rumours? DB still waiting on the answer to my question, I take it the silence is your answer as you don't know anybody close to Celtic at all, otherwise you could have answered.

Ah well, shame.

bellamy has says himself on many occasions he would love 2 return 2 celtic but the only thing stoppin it happenin was we simply can't afford him or his wages.

I think people need to consider Man city's squad before they post stuff like barry, ireland, richards, hart, onuoha, SWP going etc as these guys will make up a large part of the 8 home grown players they need for next season.

it's more likely some of th foreign players will make way.

Dear Sharkey

Obviosly you do not see complete picture about Russian tycoons.Gues how come Zhirkov ended up in CFC. Trust me if any player from CSKA comes to EPL it will be CFC.
Vidich will stay in MUFC. SAF is a father figure for him. Also SAF has his favorites like Rio, Rooney, Giggs, Scholes or Nevile.
My opinion is that hole this battle is mainly about 2 players Tores and Dzeko, CFC will buy one of them, as well as Srna. If A.Cole leaves to Madrid I think K.P.Boateng and Belhadj are probable targets.

THFC, RUMOUR! from EMAG,

these players are close to signing for the club or will go into high level meetings once the world cup is over!

s. pletikosa; will sign on loan in the next fortnight and will become number two to gomes.
van der vaart; his agent has been in ongoing meetings with the club,
m. richards; in very advanced stages with the club
j. cole; as expected should join although not a huge choice amongst the local fans who believe they already have better especially if they get van der vaart.
s. kjaer.
d. forlan; they will look to him to forge a partnership with defoe.
c. wickham; common knowledge about him being shown around the lane and the lodge and very excited about the possible signing!

I agree with you completely (and hope this happens) except for one thing – Forlan. He's said he wants to stay in Spain, and after his magnificent World Cup, his price will be inflated like mad. There is no chance that Levy will pay the 20m that the 31 year old will now cost.

Marlon Harewood

Emile Heskey may also be making a return to his hometown club but discussions are only mutual at this current time.

–IN– Van der Vaart , Gilberto Silva , Barry/Parker , Honda , Bridge , J.Cole

New owners by end of summer and if LFC is lucky they will give Hodgson enough money to buy Aguero and Alonso with Aqualani.

Nigel Dougherty to leave his position at Notts Forest and re–call the debt owed to him by the club. Peter Storrey involved with a take over.

To the guy who said this, at least try and make your lies believable. What reason would Nigel Doughty have to leave Nottingham Forest? He is a life long supporter of the club and Forest are currently in a very stable financial situation. On top of this we just achieved our best league posistion in many years and it would seem that our future looks bright.

I'm only just getting to grips with the effects that the new regulations on squad sizes are going to have on Premiership clubs. Man Utd have a big squad and unfortunately they have a lot of players that are 21 or 22. As there is no limit on the number of younger players this may force a change in policy on clubs like Utd with many of the 21 and 22 year olds being loaned out and some of the younger ones kept as cover. It also means that clubs cannot carry players with long term injuries who would have to be omitted from the squad and if they recover be sent out on loan.

The following look strong candidates to be loaned to other clubs:

Zieler
Cathcart
De Laet
Chester
Gray
Hewson
Possebon
Obertan
Diouf

Any incoming players over 21 will have to be matched over 21s leaving or being sent out on loan.

The new regulations may affect three players who might normally have been loaned out:

Cleverley
Welbeck
Macheda

There is a chance, though a smaller one, that SAF may decide to sell 2 or 3 senior players to make room in the squad.

Nicky maynard 3.7 mil with ranger goin they on loan

Who's Ranger ? What club ? Doesn't matter, Maynard won't be going anywhere for under 6m. Bristol City paid 2.25m for him, add in his 5% payment from the transfer, Crewe's 30% sell on clause, and the salary/bonuses already paid out, plus his 20+ goal return and any idiot can see that 3.7m just doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Especially with some unknown coming our way as part of the deal.

I'd assume they meant Nile Ranger or Newcastle? could be wrong but he's the only Ranger i can think of

Rather have Tonto – at least I've heard of him. Why the hell would BCFC want Ranger ? What's he done compared to Maynard ? Good name, that's about it.

Liverpool to offer real madrid Mascherano for Xabi Alonso and 15M. 15M to go towards Fernando Llorente. 6M from Benayoun towards Taiwo. and the 15M budget towards RW/LW. Hopefully Babel to fight Maxi for RM Jovanovic and Riera to fight for LW Torres and Llorente upfront and kuyt and Ngog as a back up.

Liverpool:

GK: Reina / Loach / Hansen
RB: Johnson / Darby
LB: Richardson / Insua
CB: Caragher / Hangeland / Agger / Kelly
CM: Aquilani / Silva / Murphy
AM: Gerrard / V.D Vaart
RW: Maxi / Kuyt
LW: Jovanovic / Babel
ST: Torres / Pavlyuckenko / Kuyt / Pacheco

ROY HODGSON HAS ALREADY SAID THAT HE WILL NOT AND CANNOT RAID FULHAM FOR PLAYERS IN THIS TRANSFER WINDOW.

ED cmon fella please don't let that f&^%er at koptalk come on here and spoil what was a good site I have been reading this site for years and today you let him spout his tripe on here I can't believe it! {editor's note – it wasn't him, it was someone who has read it and wanted an opinion on it, which is why I pointed out that it is complete and utter rubbish. Like I said then, in a few day's time it will be about how Dalglish has been convinced to stay. The guy is an expert at backtracking, he has shown to be lying with his talk about the Sheikh buying the club, yet he still gets thousands of people viewing his lies every day. If I don't put them up here and point out they are lies, how are people to know they are lies?}

Southampton news.

This is coming from a Saints fan too.

Even I don't believe the Alexis Sanchez rumour or anything the guy said about Saints.

Antonio will re–sign..simple as. He has said he has loved being on the south coast and wants to stay!

All this World Cup scouting for Saints is rubbish. We are after Championship players.

However relating to another post..Plymouth won't sign anyone as they have no money.

Message to Fergiefor the love of god put all your efforts into signing Oezil. Hes had a quiet game today but has still shown his class. An Oezil/Rooney link up would be fantastic. I hear Fergie regularly reads these pages so fingers crossed ;–) {editor's note – in that case, do you think it was because of you that he isn't signing Fabiano? ;o)}

To the person who thinks stoke have 52 targets. Get back down to earth mate and stop taking drugs! Why would a team have a big list like that! You obviously dnt know your football because stephen hunt has signed for wolves and danny welbeck plays upfront not midfield! You need to stop making up rumours and if you do make rumours, make then look realistic! Editor you heard any rumours with
The wolves? All I have heard is that they are getting impatient with chelsea over the signing of mancienne. {editor's note – I think they have given up on Mancienne and are looking abroad for a centre back now. In the middle of sending out enquiries to gauge prices and availability of players, could be a couple of days before it becomes clear exactly who Mick will move for. Though he does have his eye on Gerrard too, Anthony Gerrard that is, and Jack Hobbs as possibles if there are no good value defenders abroad. I am sure there are a few other lower league players on his list but I only know those two for definite.}

First and foremost, Germany are going to win the world cup! how good have they been!

anyway

onto a report on skysports news about Diego Forlan

Rene Meulensteen, who is a first team coach at Man Utd, has said that Diego (who made the scousers cry!) would be welcomed back to Old Trafford anytime.
Meulensteen said he sent Forlan a text message after he netted both goals in the victory over Fulham (Europa League Final), reading: "Top class, if it's up to me you will return to us."

The striker reportedly replied: "I am ready for it."

Who knows what could happen now, especially seeing as he has smashed the world cup and im sure he would want to prove a point at Utd, seeing as his first spell there didn't go to well!! would be a a great partner for rooney too, just have to see what happens!

Arsenal are favourites with an offer somewhere between 10–15m with either vela or wiltshere on loan in the opposite direction.

Ed any news on ozil gourcuff j.cole to arsenal {editor's note – Ozil doesn't look even a remote possibility right now, Arsenal have a ton of players for that position and Ozil will command too high a fee. Gourcuff is a possibility, he had a poor World Cup so his price should be reasonable. But Arsene is not really looking for a central midfielder as it looks like Barca are not really interested in completing a move for Fabregas anymore. They seem to have moved on now as the price is too high for their liking. Cole is very much a possibility if he is willing to take a pay cut, but he does seem more inclined towards Spurs as they are offering more money.}

"I heard today from someone in the backroom at man city that there reps are in south africa talking to a player who plays number 9 and its going to shock the football world he never said which team".

I heard something similar. You friend is right about the number 9. It's Ghana's number 9 "Agyemang Opoku". He was wrong about "its going to shock the football world". We have always expected these kind of players to join man city.

F u ask me who I think we should get well that's if we have money is fabiano , alex sanchez , Nina the Greek lad n joe cole coz he is free but carnt see him comin now. But ya sanchez is the we need he is a top player and would only cost 20 mil same as ozil should go for him 2 play behind top 2 but hay let's just see who theses 5 names are lad

WHY? WHY?? Why would any United fan with the clubs best interests at heart want to sign Luis Fabiano? I feel like im on a personal crusade for us NOT to sign this lad. He will not get us 20 goals a season. There are better, younger and cheaper alternatives out there.

Liverpool FC

Hodgson will not buy any players from Fulham, he will mostly look to buy english players but if they are not available for the right price he will look at non english players. Dont expect any high profile players costing more than 25–30 mil. All the buys will be young and not so costly. No budget has yet been promised to Roy but all the money generated from sales will be available to reinvest in the transfers. No striker will be bought because babel will be used as the backup to torres, if he is sold then a striker will be bought. Players mostly from city and madrid will be looked at as they will be bringing new players. Gerrard and torres will not leave this season.

I have been told by Bullards agents brother that he was not impressed by his visit to Glasgow – no surprise there really. "Guys,
a few weeks ago I told you about Man City buying Silva and YaYa and I got some grief basically saying – no chance no Champs league. Hmmmm.
Anyway, I have heard from the same source that Milner will sign subject to Villa accepting a revised offer – possibly with a City player going the other way (Ireland or SWP?). A Serbian fullback deal is to be made public next week. But – the owner still wants a mega signing. Rumour is that the signing of Silva will be push for a big effort to sign Torres. Its not about how much just if Hodgson wants to start his managerial stay at Liverpool by selling their best player."

I think you got lucky mate. Both were heavily linked with offers from Shy. Obviously the only thing important to both players is money. Would have expected that from Toure (leaving Barca for City says it all), but Silva, I thought he was better. Very disappointed in him. As for Torres, trust me he'll NEVER sign for City, or any other English club for that matter. Barca are his only realistic destination, and they can't afford him this season.
Milner, he may be tempted by the money, but if he's got a brain, he won't even entertain the idea.

Doc said at 03 Jul 2010 13:14:45:

"Considering that Mr.Abramovich is one of CSKA oweners……………..."

Man you are way off the mark here. Roman Abramovich has never at any point been an owner or part owner of CSKA Moscow. The only involvement was that a company (Sibneft), primarily owned by Mr Abramovich at the time, sponsoring CSKA from 2004 to 2006. Note that Mr Abramovich had no interest in Sibneft from November 2005 on.

This situation is in line with Uefa rules and is not dissimilar to the situation in England with the owners of Blackburn Rovers (Jack Walker's family trust) also being the owners of low cost airline flybe – who have themselves sponsored several football clubs (Southampton, Exeter, Birmingham, Norwich off the top of my head).

Heard last night on pretty decent authority that Chelsea have deals in place for Luis Suarez and Mesut Ozil. Both were agreed pre world cup and for obvious reasons neither will be confirmed as yet as both players still in South Africa. This week will see the departure of Deco, Mancienne and Di Santo. Many of the younger players will be pushed through as only 3 signings will be made–the two above and Benayoun, so we can expect to see more of the likes of Bruma, Sturridge, Borini, Hutchison, Kakuta and Van Aanholt.

Through dealings with emag we can reveal spurs targets, most of the deals are in being concluded or have been concluded

s. pletikosa; the croation keeper will join in the nxt week or so and will be cover to gomes.

van der vaart; contact was made through his agent and talks between the player himself and his agent, and then his agent and spurs have gone very well, he has been encouraged by van persie (which has suprised everyone), also arjen robben who grew up a spurs fan praised the club as ambitious with a great history and one of the big clubs of the world!!, now this will also depend on the left back situation?? if spurs find a left back then the deal will be off as harry rates gareth bale as a possible land mark on nxt seasons champions league, if harry can't find a left back then bale will be used in the role,

m. richards; will come as the new right back

j. cole; it seems destined that the lad will chose spurs over arsenal (no chance of a move up north and why would he?), thing is spurs fans are not too keen on him joining the club they feel they have better in modric, wilson, thudd, sandro, bale and if he arrives van der vaart,

s. kjaer; this depends on the fitness of woodgate? if woody proves he will be able to play 60% of the games then the deal will be off esp with dawson, king, bassong. kaboul and maybe richards in that position??

forlan; could spark a great partnership with defoe?

c. wickham; has been shown around the lodge and lane, and is very excited about joining the club.

possible squad?

gomes
pletikosa,

richards/corluka/kaboul
bale/bae/?
dawson/king/woodgate/kjaer/bassong/kaboul.

bale/modric/van der vaart/cole
modric/huddlestone/sandro/van der vaart/palacios/cole
lennon/kranjcar

defoe/forlan/crouch/?

younger players will be loaned out inc wickham back to ipswich! also naughton, walker, rose, livermore, kane, m'poku & townsend

bentley and jenas may well stay till jan? but do expect them to leave sooner! along with pava, keane, hutton, o'hara and ben alnwick

03 Jul 2010 13:38:26
LUFC – the next 3 weeks will clearly define the intention of uncle ken @ elland road. Clearly the mighty whites should more or less have the pick of all free transfers being the most attractive proposition (wages apart)for players outside the PREM. Given there is a limited budget getting frees in to fill the fullback slots; the GK spot and taking a chance on a proven lower league goalscorer would seem sensible .. However only if this is followed up with funds being spent on the 3 key areas still requiring bolstering.. a centre half .. a holding mid player and beckfords replacement. Players recruited need to be youngish & capable of playing at a lower prem level; that said an elder statesman in Centre Mid (like nicky butt) might just do the job for a season.

Considering that Mr.Abramovich is one of CSKA oweners, Milosh Krasich will most probably sign for Chealsea if they do not make new deal with Joe Cole.
It is possible that Ozil also make signature for blues since Ballack is finishing his career.Benayon is brought to replace Deco.
If I was AW I would buy DM proven, maybe RW to back up Wallcot, Subotic CM if Gallas is leaving and that's it.

"Hi im a liverpool fan an that's stupid van der vart is probly worth that money him self"

Hmmmm, I would say they are probably worth around 8M each. The heavy rumours I have heard (which I have doubts about because he's not even been in the job a week yet) is the Glalacticos have offered the pair and £10M for Gerrard.

Like I said earlier, Rafa gancied Drenthe abou 3 years ago but in addition Rafa tried for the last two seasons to get Van Der Vaart.

I personally think it's far to soon to be looking at who Hodgson might buy. Maybe in 4+ weeks or so but not now – he's not even got a company car yet!

I heard before Hodgson appoint that S Gerrard WILL leave if Hodgson was appointed manager but would STAY if Dalglish became manager!
Also, Torres will leave next summer if Gerrard leaves.
Apparantly Hodgson appointment doesn't seen challanging enough for title.
Also heard Mascherano is staying because nobody interested at his price.
Have you heard ed? {editor's note – I have not heard that at all. Gerrard is more interested in who Hodgson wants to sign than anything else. Personally I think he either remember he is a Liverpool fan and stay unless the club chooses to sell him. His attitude stinks, compare it with Shearer's attitude at Newcastle for instance. As for Mash, he will almost certainly leave, and good riddance, as the Germans have shown, he is not as good as he thinks he is.}

I assume this muppet means Newcastle and Nile Ranger coming to us ? A) Maynard won't leave unless its a decent prem club (i had this conversation with him recently) B) City wold want 5.5 mill plus C) Newcastle will struggle to stay up next year and finally D) Ranger is a accident waiting to happen is what I hear is true

This must be at least the 7th time ive posted and i seem to get lost in space as they are never published – please post this Ed and can you give any insight to whether any of this is true?

Yesterday KOPTALK ran an exclusive claiming that Kenny Dalglish had left the club. Our report created a storm and I admit that this morning I was worried that I'd been fed false information, but having spoken to a number of Anfield insiders, I am in a position to confirm that Kenny wasn't at work as he should have been today and at the same time provide a fresh update and some clarification to avoid any confusion.

Kenny made the decision not to show up at work today as a result of yesterday's press conference. He left the Academy yesterday in disgust at what the fans were fed. He simply doesn't want to be a part of the regime that is running the club into the ground.

You may have read that Kenny wasn't present at yesterday's press conference because he was out of the country. Yes he was, earlier in the week, but yesterday he watched the press conference live from the Academy because he didn't want to be visibly seen as part of the new regime. He wanted to watch it on television like every other fan and make his mind up about what he heard like any other fan, because that's what he is.

After the press conference he got his coat and went home announcing to Managing Director Christian Purslow that he was taking 3–weeks unscheduled leave. He doesn't want to resign because he doesn't want the publicity that would come from doing so. It would would be huge news. He wants to step back quietly. He doesn't want his exit to be directly related to the appointment of Roy Hodgson. It's the owners and other executive figures that are his concern.

The Liverpool Daily Post today published a report with the headline: 'Roy Hodgson appoints Kenny Dalglish as Liverpool FC head of football development'. This is not true. Kenny has not accepted any new position offered to him. That's not a dig at the newspaper as I assume they're only reporting what they've been fed.

Other quotes published today were made previous to Kenny's decision to stay away. Yes he is supportive of Roy Hodgson, he likes the man and he wants him to succeed, but he doesn't want to be a part of the other stuff that's taking place.

Kenny's feeling used. When the club needs some PR, out comes his name. Today is a fine example of just that.

We told you LAST YEAR that Kenny wanted the Liverpool job but those claims were dismissed. They've since proven to be true. We're now telling you that he's left the club, and as things stand with the present set–up, he doesn't want to be associated with those running the show.

The club want you to believe that Kenny was heavily involved in the appointment of Roy Hodgson as the new manager, yet neither Christian Purslow or Kenny were there to answer questions at yesterday's press conference. Why is that?

Another source at the Liverpool academy has since informed me that Dalglish did not turn in today as expected. He was never going to, maybe Christian Purslow should explain why that was.

Forget me. Forget KOPTALK. If you're a Liverpool fan and you genuinely care about Kenny, instead of dismissing my claims because of the spin you've read in the press today, confront the claims head on and start asking questions, because I know that Kenny is sat at home hurting right now.

If Kenny has not taken 3 weeks unscheduled leave as a result of the nonsense peddled at yesterday's press conference, I invite Liverpool Football Club to sue me. My defence will be rock solid.

Don't fall for their spin or well timed press feeding and don't be surprised if Dave Maddock of The Mirror crops up tonight peddling more bullst on behalf of Purslow.

Kenny stayed at home today. He was supposed to be at work. If you can sit back and watch them exploit a true legend and would prefer instead to rubbish me, then I question you as a fan.

The invitation is there, if I'm feeding lies as some of you like to claim, make sure someone at Anfield accepts my invitation.

And for the record, you don't need to be a member of KOPTALK to learn any more about this. I'm putting this out their in the public domain for all Liverpool fans to see.

Chris {editor's note – I wasn't posting it because it is a load of crap, just watch in the next few days he will be posting about how the club or Roy or someone has convinced Kenny to stay. It is just a guy desperately searching for controversial stuff to say to bring in people to his site.}

Ed I hear it was Hodgson and O'neil who were the final two interviewed for managers job! Do you know if O'neil was the one who just missed out? Also any new news on ownership front? {editor's note – I am not entirely sure because I was led to believe that Liverpool were not given permission to talk to O'Neill at any point. The news on the owners front is as Broughton said in the press conference – the club is inviting a first round of bids. Once those bids are in we will know more.}

Arsenal News

Koscienly is a done deal for just over £8m. This will be announced on Monday.

Fresh bids have been placed for Jagielka, Cattermole and G Cahill.

Wenger is not expecting to sign all of these but still needs a first choice CB, preferably English (as you can tell) as Koscienly is unlikely to be given immediate first team starts.

Mike

03 Jul 2010 12:23:54
Asomoah Gyan has been heavily linked with Liverpool in an 8 million deal. He is a great player with great confidence. Most people would have seen his confidence when he missed a penalty in the last minute and then scored a penalty in the shoot out. I can see Hodgson buying him and Gyan becoming an excellent player.I see him fitting in well at LFC.

To the chap who said this:

"Hi
I promise what i say is true.
This is for all man utd fans.
My dads mate sister works at old trafford she sorts and repairs and puts numbers on all the new man utd kits and gives them to the kit man and she says that there is 5 new name shirts who she has never heard of what she did for the pre season in the u.s.a but she didn't say names coz she forgot well that's what she says (women).so ya looks like there are 5 new signings not saying they are good players but if they are going on the pre season they must be going into the 1st team straight away.
The only reason y i trust her what she says is that she told us all that ronaldo was going and we signed valencia and she was right 6 weeks later ronaldo left and valencia came in.
So to all you MAN UTD fans stop listening to all theses people on here saying we gettin him n him its just paper talk so just wait an see who theses 5 players are n just hope they are good.
This is no joke just wait n see"

i would love this to be true as a man utd fan but i just think this info is very shakey at best, first off if she can't remember 5 new names then i doubt her ability to remember the whole first team squad, as if she can't remember the whole first team squad then how does she know these names are new? they could just be one's that she's forgotten about, or more likely youth players premoted to the first team squad for the pre season tour like we do every year, sir alex has already said that he'll be giving a rest to all the players who went to the world cup so it's likely he'll take some youngsters to give them a taste of first team football in place of players who are being rested.

i expect there will be 1 maybe 2 at most coming in and only in place of those leaving. Anderson will definatley be staying as he's injured and won't be back until september at the earliest and unfortunatly Berbatov will be staying 1 more year to try and prove himself, although with Hernandez signing and his form at the worl cup i doubt Berbatov will get much chance. i would expect Carrick to move on after he showed that he can't hack it against the best(Bayern Munich/Chelsea), and proberley Vidic, so we'll sign a midfielder, most likely Ninis(a bid of 9.6M was made and is being considered) and maybe a center back to replace Vidic as Ferdinand is only fit half the time. that will be all for united this summer.

Shappy

I know wat u mean lad but let's just wait n see.
If u ask me who I think we should get well that's if we have money is fabiano , alex sanchez , Nina the Greek lad n joe cole coz he is free but carnt see him comin now. But ya sanchez is the we need he is a top player and would only cost 20 mil same as ozil should go for him 2 play behind top 2 but hay let's just see who theses 5 names are lad

I have been told by Bullards agents brother that he was not impressed by his visit to Glasgow – no surprise there really. He is a close pal of Lee Mc and unbelievably he is now looking at a possible move to Rangers. – they live in better houses in better areas apparently. All sounds a bit sus to me but watch this space. Personally I don't rate the guy Yorkie Lad

Bullard doesn't have an agent, he represents himself, you completely made this up.

Editor /all.

These are the (lower profile) players who have impressed me at the WC (excluding the likes of Ozil and Honda who I have seen lots of rumours about) and I wondered if anyone had heard if any PL clubs / big Euro clubs had been linked?

Kwadwo Asamoah (Udinese, Ghana) – this lad is awesome, could see him fitting in superbly at LFC
Andre Ayew (Marseille, Ghana)
Carlos Salcido (PSV, Mexico)
Fabio Coentrao (Benfica, Portugal)
Eduardo (Braga, Portugal)
Winston Reid (Midtjylland, NZ)
Jong Tae–Se (Kawasaki Frontale, N Korea)
Egidio Arevalo (Penarol, Uruguay)
Michael Bradley (Borussia MG, USA)
Vincent Aboubakar (Cotonsport Garoua, Cameroon)

Thanks Ed/everyone –

Jolly Roger. {editor's note – most of those players have been heavily linked with other clubs. Salcido was chased by Arsenal before they got Sagna for instance.}

Guys,
a few weeks ago I told you about Man City buying Silva and YaYa and I got some grief basically saying – no chance no Champs league.
Its not about how much just if Hodgson wants to start his managerial stay at Liverpool by selling their best player.

Just got a call from a contact in Spain. He said Rafael VDV and Royston Drenthe will move +£5m to LFC in exchange for Gerrard. My contact says a team from LFC is flying out next week to discuss terms. Before people start jumping on my back, I know this has already been mentioned in the media but this is what I have just been told. He also mentioned Aguero negotiations are ongoing. Liverpool want to make 1 big signing (to be announced with new owners).

03 Jul 2010 11:29:30
Arsenal need efficiency in the team, and that means Germans!! the likes of mertesacker, özil, muller, podolski and khedira have all showed they are winners.
mertesacker: a giant behemoth in the centre of defence. despite bremen insisting he's not for sale we all know every player has his price. one may question his pace, but there is no question his power, tackling, aerial ability and positioning are top class. would cost about £15m which makes his signing immediately doubtful given wenger's transfer habits.
özil: well he's proven he's a class act at the world cup, but maybe too similar to fabregas/nasri? wenger has allegedly said its bad business to buy some1 on the back of a good world cup.. stand up mr Gilberto Silva.
muller: helped destroy england, seems to be the complete midfielder, tall and strong, would offer something else.
podolski: ok he had a poor season at Köln, but guys, what do u expect. for germany he's surrounded by quality, the type of quality arsenal can easily match. seems to come alive for the national side.
khedira: an elegant defender who tackles well and has impressive distribution.
schweinsteiger: quality quality quality, but setrled at bayern.
my view: buy mertesacker and koscielny, buy muller or melo, schwarzer and sign joe cole for free.
IN: Chamakh(free), J Cole(free), Mertesacker(15), Koscielny(8–9), Schwarzer(3), muller/melo(10).
OUT: Eduardo(9), Vela(8), Gallas(free), Silvestre(free).

Dear deluded Arsenal fans, you are NOT, i repeat NOT getting Agbonlahor. He will not leave Villa (his hometown team) to sit on your bench and a valuation of 9m is an insult, he is worth at least 15m. Besides, Wenger won't buy established english players..Tatty Bye..K MAN

Walsall FC Rumours/news

Aaron Lescott will be offered a 1 year contract, as Vincent has left to join Aldershot.

Franck Moussa is training with Walsall, aiming to be handed a contract.

Hutch is still looking at Adebayo Akinfenwa, as Deeney could be following Gilmartin to Watford.

We are also in the window for a young goalkeeper, thought to be around 20–21 (source Express and Star)

Julian Grey has left, so Hutch is in the market looking for another left winger, this may be on loan as Walsall aint got the biggest of wage budget's.

As I say, Deeney could be following Gilmartin to Watford, the transfer fee thought to be around £300,000. But, Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley are both considering bids around £325,000.

Walsall will hope to have brought in 3 players by 10th July.

More bad news for Cardiff..
The tour to Malaysia was cancelled in preference for Protugal but that is now under threat as well. But the big news is that the players have now been asked to defer their bonuses and appearance monies until the end of the season. The players are not happy and will meet as a group next week to decide if they take the risk of not being paid what they are contractually due. If Cardiff don't have the money now, they won't have it at the end of the season. The club is fighting but they are slowly going under.

Comrades!

I have heard heavy rumours concerning Royston Drenthe and Liverpool. I have my doubts over this. It is true that Drenthe was of interest to Rafa 3 years or so ago, but Hodgson has only just took the job over and I doubt he will be looking round the transfer market until he's had a proper look at what he's got and done in–depth appraisals on the squad with the training staff and made his own mind up about how he wants to play and who he does and doesn't need .

Southampton fan who says pardew waiting till after world cup and switzerland tour, what a fool, chile out, cameroon out, ivory coast out, hes not waiting its a load of tripe. Udinese to southampton yeah right, your not a big club at all. Plymouths trialist is Aikihiro Ienaga the club feel they can get a work permit, and want ienaga to be their japanese marketing tool, aswell as a tidy centre mid. Previously trained and impressed but work permit denied, who knows if it will be any different this time. Love winding southampton were a big club up, SOUTHAMPTON 32, 151 PLYMOUTH 43, 596 that's record home crowds, plus saints fans to my records plymouth have surpassed your record on 46 seperate occassions, stop your lies boys your a small club, the facts say it all

Hereford United have announced the signing of striker Stuart Fleetwood from Charlton Athletic.

03 Jul 2010 09:46:48
Celtic have announced their signing targets through the media so don't expect any unannounced signings just yet. They are working on the deal for campbell and bullard who are the only realistic marquee signings they will make. I have heard that campbell and bullard were both impressed with whats on offer but it is still short of what they want financially and that could possibly mean they will stay in England. Keane will not sign, neither will Bellamy. Lennon will look for new striker but after his defence is sorted.

Rangers are not working on many deals the now. When Gordon Strachan lands a new striker expect Rangers to start discussing a move for Lee Miller. Robert Koren is also well thought of but Gers are strong in centre mid the now and Walter wants natural width but that comes at a price. Unless a player moves for big money then Gers won't seriously enter transfer market till nearer end of August when players become that little bit cheaper and some players become available on loan.

In response to:
'Like most liverpool fans I listened very very closely to the roy hodgson press confrence where mr. Broughton was in attendance. It was clearly stated that the club had recieved 0 offers. So im Intrested probably like most liverpool fans who come on here to now hear what has to be said my previous posters about the supposed sale of the club? Anyone care to comment?'

Love to comment – I have posted a few times confrming that the club has been sold and it is FACT – My wife works for Barclays Capital (1 Churchill Place, London) and confirmed the deal was complete some 3 weeks ago – Paperwork all signed – The reason for the comments are that terms of the sale dictate that the announcement can only be made on a specified date (which, my gues will be 31st July), at which point all new signings will also be either formally announced or the players introduced. – All of this for maximum publicity.

The new owners picked the manager, as they insisted on an English manager (and, lets be honest, there was not a huge choice) and Hodgson has had to accept certain player deals which have already been done, i.e the sale of Benny and Masch and the purchase / signing of 3 'other' players, who I believe to be Cole, Richards and 'another' (v pricey striker)

Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson has targeted Keisuke Honda as his first signing of the summer. Hodgson is willing to spend up to £15m for the Japanese superstar. Clint Dempsey is also major target for Hodgson. After impressive performances for Fulham, Hodgson is willing to spend £8m to sign the American. Taye Taiwo is also Roy's first choice left back signing. He will have to fight Atletico Madrid for his services, however he will have to spend £9m for the Nigerian.

Roy Hodgson has not targeted Brede Hangeland as a potential Liverpool signing but has identified the left back position as a priority and following a £28 million sale of Javier Mascherano, he will bid £18 million for German captain Phillip Lahm. Rumours of a move for Gilberto Silva are true though and he plans to rotate Silva with Lucas in the centre of midfield. The new Liverpool boss will also bid £14 million for Turkish winger Arda Turan whilst he is hoping to tie up a deal for Rafael Van Der Vaart for just £6 million. Hodgson has been given a £15 million transfer kitty beyond any money he can generate from player sales which will also include Ryan Babel and possibly even Alberto Aquilani.
Liverpool's squad next year is likely to be:
GK – Reina, Calvieri
DEF – Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Lahm, Agger, Insua, Kelly
MID – Turan, Gerrard, Gilberto, Van Der Vaart, Lucas,
Riera, Plessis, Spearing
FWD – Torres, Jovanovic, Kuyt, Ngog, Pacheco

A huge rumour coming out of germany is that the reason joachim low is not signing a new contract with the germany team is because he has been offered the assistant manager position at man united with a clause in the contract assuring him the united job when SAF retires in 2 years' time. This will be similar to the way low took over the german national team. United see this as ideal as this will ease him settling into england and know club's style and players. I think he will make a great united boss as he plays attacking style, but is good defensively, has emphasis on wing play and counter attacks and attacking full backs. Also he is great at youth development. Before you people start slating me for whatever reasons take into consideration that this is a RUMOUR that i have heard on my recent travels to bremen and don't know if it is true. What do you think ed? {editor's note – I have not heard anything about this myself, but I do think his team play great football. If he can replicate that with a top club side, like Man Utd, then trophies will follow for sure.}

Xxxx––––– SOME SERIOUS RUMOURS –––––xxxx

ALL OF THESE RUMOURS ARE BASED ON CONTACTS FROM SEVERAL FOOTBALL AGENCY PERSONNEL.

MANCITY –>
Word is that MAN CITY have agreed a fee of about 18M Euros last night for Serbian left back Aleksandar Kolarov. Expect something official very soon.

MAN UTD –>
An insider from Inter has indicated that there is interest from Man Utd and another EPL club for Argentine DM Esteban Cambiasso. Although he is a Massimo Moratti favourite, 25–27M Euros would be enough for Inter to release him. Also, Italian Media reports suggest that a 22M Euro bid was recently rejected from Man Utd.

LIVERPOOL –>
– former Tottenham LB Reto Ziegler is on Roy Hodgsons list after helping Sampdoria to 4th place last season and also helping Switzerlands defence in conceding only 1 goal this WC. (Im amazed to note Italian league has some of the best left–backs in Europe)

– Hodgson is keen on bringing Danny Murphy back to Liverpool along with Brede Hangeland. Talks to begin very soon.

– Gilberto Silva is also another one being looked at by Hodgsn and he will not cost alot since theres financial troubles in Greece and hes been in great form for both club and country. Hodgson also wants Rafael van der vaart and will begin talks as soon as the WC is over. Although alternatively he has Clint Dempsey lined up ( who is wanted by Juventus according to Italian media ).

– Hodgson will try to persuade Mascherano to stay for another year however should a good offer come in, he will let him go. If Inter match Liverpool's asking price, Hodgson will want either Slovenia's 20 year old midfielder Rene Krihn or Sulley Muntari in exchange. However Mascherano's preferred destination remains Barcelona. If Barca decides against bidding for Fabregas, they will make an offer for Mascherano.

ARSENAL–>
– Mancity's Nigel de Jong is wanted by Wenger in midfield. Yaya Toure's arrival may have pushed him down the pecking order.

– Per Mertesacker and Marko Marin of Germany are also wanted by Arsene Wenger but both together may cost a lot of money.

– Should Gael Clichy be sold (unlikely), Wenger may move for Nadir Belhadj of Portsmouth who is also on Hodgson's shortlist as an alternative.

––– ASTON VILLA / ARSENAL / WEST HAM were all hoping to sign Hertha Berlin's German CB Arne Freidrich, HOWEVER he has recently agreed a 1.7M Euros deal to sign for Steve Mcclaren's Wolfsburg (quite a bargain).

Japan's Keisuke Honda is wanted by Arsenal, Liverpool and West Ham but AC Milan are leading his signature and are expected to begin talks with CSKA Moscow as early as tomorrow.

––– will be back with more –––

I've heard that bougherra will be moving to arsenal in the next 2 weeks for a nominal fee of £5.5 mil but as part of the deal jack wilshere will be coming to rangers on a season long loan deal to get experience in a hard hitting fast paced league to toughen him up a bit.
rangers are still trying to convince man u and fergie that sending obertan on loan will be good for the player also.
on the leaving front other than bougherra i've heard there are a few interested parties from the prem looking at signing mo edu.

03 Jul 2010 02:40:07
Benzema to Man U. It's been confirmed since before the WC. £14m

Fergie thinks Scholes could be the man to succeed him at United in a few years.

Also, my mate knows Ashley Young's cousin, and he said that he's travelling to Manchester to meet Mancini.

Liverpool squad 10/11:
GK:Reina, Gulasci
RB:Johnson, Darby, Kelly
CB:Carragher, Agger, Kjaer, Ayala
LB: Coentrao[spelling?, portugal lb], Insua
RM:Maxi, Cole
LM:Turan, Jovanovic
CM:Gerrard, Aquilani, Gilberto Silva, Shelvey, Lucas, Plessis
CF:Torres, Aguero, Kuyt, Ngog, Pacheco, Nemeth

Outs:Mascherano 30m –Real, Barca, Inter
Riera 7m – somewhere in russia or spain
Babel 11m – arsenal, birmingham, holland again
Benayoun 6m – Chelsea
Degen 4m – somewhere in germany
El zhar 2m – who cares?
Well is this squad good enough to get back into the champions league? We will have to wait and see! What do you think of the ins and outs ed?[always like reading your responses to rumours] {editor's note – I doubt we will get the Portugese left back (unfortunately), Cole (thankfully), Aguero (regrettably) or Turan (more's the pity). Though I have to admit I don't have a clue what Roy's transfer targets are yet, it is just my gut feeling. Though Turan seems desperate to play for Liverpool, I just don't see Roy making a move for him, I hope he proves me wrong though! I think we might end up keeping Riera and Babel, at least until January, both were unhappy with Rafa rather than the club. I feel Roy seems the type to give players the chance to prove themselves if they want to stay and the only ones to go will be those who want to.}

Kris boyd will sign for boro next week

03 Jul 2010 00:29:49
Been a lot of Liverpool rumours flying around. I'm going to try to bring some Logic to these rumours.

Joe Cole – If Joe Cole wanted to be on the bench of a Champions League team he would have stayed at Chelsea. He wants to be in the first 11, and the only club that can promise him that is Liverpool. I'd say they have a pretty good chance to get him.

Arda Turan – I doubt Roy Hodgson would take such a gamble on a player who is completely unproven in England. If he did come I could see him being a massive flop.

Benzema – Not in a million years. He's a luxury player and I don't think his ego would let him sign for a team which isn't in the champions league. Also, if it's true that he wants £200k a week, Liverpool can't afford him. He's never lived up to his reputation anyway.

Gilberto Silva – I can see this happening. Due to the financial situation in Greece, Panathinaikos would sell fairly cheap, and Roy clearly has faith in age and experience.

Van Der Vaart – Highly likely. Not sure how he would fit into the team with Gerrard, unless Gerrard goes. Could be part of the deal.

Southampton and some Leeds United News:

News coming to me from a Reliable Source is that Southampton are going to sign Brian Stock From Doncaster for £1, 150,000 in the next two weeks while Saints go on Tour to Switzerland.

Other news is that Michail Antonio could be on is way to Leeds United for a 6 Month Loan after Reading have decided to get rid of some Youngters on Loans.

Southampton could be looking to South Africa to try and find some Young Talent. Scouts we're sent at the start of the World Cup and a three names have been taken.

Cameroon Young Defender Nicolas N'Koulou (AC Monaco)

Chile Attacking Midfielder Alexis Sanchez (Udinese)

Ivory Coast Striker Seydou Doumbia (CSKA Moscow)

Alan Pardrew is going to think about them after the Switzerland Tour and the World Cup.

Nufc
I have it on good authority that craig bellamy is considering going back to newcastle on 1 year loan! kris boyd is been tracked however nufc are looking for pace and its though that bellamy could partner carrol superbly, Newcastle are looking to stay british so expect half a dozen loan signings – lansbury, possible mancienne. {editor's note – Premier League clubs are only allowed 4 loan signings in a season, and only 2 may be registered at the club at a time. Except for special circumstances, such as a goalkeeper injury crisis.}

Nicky Shorey has turned down the offer from Forest. The reason he left after the loan spell was he did not like the fans and the Nottingham area.

What a load of rubbish. He left because he was contracted to Aston Villa, and their first choice Left Back was injured, it was a term in his contract that he could be recalled if necessary. Editor – can you back this up!? {editor's note – I have heard nothing about him disliking the area, he was recalled by Villa when Warnock got an injury. I do doubt that he will join Forest as he wants to be in the Prem, but I don't believe that there is any other reason for him not returning.}

Funny thought he went on loan to Fulham after. Are you another Florist fan who is not old enough to remember their cup wins, but still sings about them? Small team and a ground of only three sides, truly awful. {editor's note – he went on loan to Fulham after Warnock recovered from injury, but he couldn't nail down a first team place there.}

Thanks editor, Billy tried to sign him on loan again after warnock recovered but he decided to turn to premiership Fulham to try and salvage a place in the world cup squad. Fulham have since said they don't want to sign him permanently, so there is no reason why he wouldn't come to forest.

You sound like a typical Derby fan, I won't lower myself to your level, but just wondering how many more non league player your nigel is planning on buying this summer??

He is a close pal of Lee Mc and unbelievably he is now looking at a possible move to Rangers. – they live in better houses in better areas apparently. All sounds a bit sus to me but watch this space. Personally I don't rate the guy Yorkie Lad

Hahaha! Seriously they live in better houses in better areas? With the amount of money footballers are earning a week they can decide where they want to live regardless of where other team–mates live.If Bullard wasnt impressed with glasgow he could live in edinburgh etc but then why would he sign for glasgow rangers if he doesn't rate glasgow overall??
Im a celtic fan and would rather he didn't sign for us but cmon now that rumour re houses etc is just ludicrous.these folk should stop posting for the sake of.real rumours please..daviebhoy?

Now it is being reported that Mourinho is after van Persie and that a 35 million pound offer is forthcoming. My thought is that Arsenal should counter the offer with either Benzema or Gago plus cash in exchange for van Persie. Love RVP but he is too injury–prone for the BPL and might be better off in Spain. Benzema is younger, French, and a proven goal scorer. He would do well with Wenger at Arsenal. Or Gago, either one might be the high profile signing that the Gunners need to keep Cesc happy and around another year. Thoughts?

Gooner USA

The rumour in Italy is Rafa is lining up 30m bid for Robin Van Persie. I personally don't want him to leave. As for the Benzema we could not afford his wage demands at close to £200 000 per week.

I work in the mortgage department at HBOS, Lovell Park site in Leeds, and today I put through a mortgage for Ishmael Miller, who is due to move to the Roundhay area of Leeds in the next few weeks. A bit strange this one, considering he's a mancunian playing for West Brom. This information is 100% true, whether or not he'll sign for Leeds I don't know, but its a very good indicator!

C'mon the villains.O'Neill changes signing programme – overrated/past it P/L internationals for international class/youth (and a cracking free signing!)
Villa selling Milner £25m (Man C), Reo–Coker £3m (Fulham), Heskey £2.5m (Leeds), Sidwell £4.25m(Fulham) & Davies £6.0m (WBA), L.Young £2.0m (Fulham), Petrov £3.0m (Celtic) and Carew £6.0m (Bordeaux).
Villa signings Cho Yong Hyung £3.5m (Jeju Utd), Park Chu–Young £Loan (Monaco), Kwadwo Asamoah £12m (Udinese), Jack Wilshere £Loan (Arsenal), Cole £Free (Chelsea), Parker £10m (West Ham), Loach £4m (Watford), Richards £10m (Man City), Bellamy £8.5m (Man City) and Fernando Llorente £12.7m(Athletic Bilbao).
Villa top 4 ta da Pool, Spurs, Toffees and the rest!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Im a Villa fan and what you have said is frankly extremely embarrasing. Everybody knows O'neill doesn't do much business in the transfer window and the outs you have said is rubbish. The only players leaving the club this window are Shorey ( Notts Forest ) and Sidwell ( Fulham ), the chances of Milner leaving now are slim as Sy have signed Toure and Silva.

The real targets for O'neill, baring in mind they are rumours :–

Keane – Spurs 8M
Richards – Man city 9M
Parker – West Ham 8M
O'Hara – Spurs 6M
Prince Boateng – Pompey 4M

Editor what do you think mate cause as a villa fan its doing my head in seeing people talkin rubbish {editor's note – Sidwell joining Fulham might be difficult, at least while they have no manager! And Shorey is hoping for a Prem move, though he is open to Forest if he doesn't get one. Your ins are pretty much spot on in terms of people but I think a few of the valuations may rule out a move for them. Especially Prince–Boateng, his price has gone through the roof after that World Cup, he has finally started showing the potential that made Tottenham swoop for him.}

Villa selling Milner £25m (Man C), Reo–Coker £3m (Fulham), Heskey £2.5m (Leeds), Sidwell £4.25m(Fulham) & Davies £6.0m (WBA), L.Young £2.0m (Fulham), Petrov £3.0m (Celtic) and Carew £6.0m (Bordeaux).
Villa signings Cho Yong Hyung £3.5m (Jeju Utd), Park Chu–Young £Loan (Monaco), Kwadwo Asamoah £12m (Udinese), Jack Wilshere £Loan (Arsenal), Cole £Free (Chelsea), Parker £10m (West Ham), Loach £4m (Watford), Richards £10m (Man City), Bellamy £8.5m (Man City) and Fernando Llorente £12.7m(Athletic Bilbao).
Villa top 4 ta da Pool, Spurs, Toffees and the rest!"

Lets see where to start. Milner = 30m Reo–Coker is far better than Sidwell so he'll but sold for more. Sidwell = 3m. Petrov is our Captain and he's not sold. Davies is sold for 7m to Spurs or Liverpool. Young is 3m to Sunderland. Carew is getting a new contract. We're not getting loans of Wilshere who would never play (not good enough) and we're not getting the Korean Center Back. We're not spending that much on average players like Asomoah.. We have no interest in Cole or Llorente (though I'd take him and he would cost at most 8m). Please stop.

Plymouths three trialists confirmed as cody arnoux ex everton, anton penterlin ex everton, aikihiro ienaga yokohama marinos.

this is wrong because this is what was said on OS 'There are a couple of lads who were at Everton last year. Also, one lad from europe.'

The lads from everton have been confirmed but last time i checked Ienega was japanese not from europe although i may be wrong

however it could be possible the Ienega may be looked at as we have been interested previously

To the deluded Leicester City fans who are thinking they will be getting simon grayson as manager

instead of writing a big paragraph and impressing people that you have managed to write alot about the case , shame it is all bull s .

you couldve just read on the yorkshire evening post website , that SG ( that man supposedly taking new role as manager at your club ) as laughed off the matter and is staying with leeds and i imagine he will be staying for quite a while haha

To the guy who said Wenger will accept a minimum bid of £60 mill, he said he is not for sale, so is this one from a gossip column, Hazard's club have already turned down a bid for 22 mill euros , why would they sell him for 15 million.

No, they have not received a bid of 22 mill euros, on't know where you got that from! all that has happened is Lyon have admitted their interest and he has said he wants to go to Arsenal or Real Madrid (back me up on that editor). And lets be realistic, 60 mil for Fabregas is a good price considering what we will get. And no, my source is not a gossip column {editor's note – I have to say I have not heard anything about a 22m Euro bid for Hazard, it was news to me. I would be very interested to know if it was true or if it was a goal.com/caughtoffside/tabloid story?}

"Arsenal ins:
Chamack free
kosiechy 8.5
gourcuff 12
neure(greman goalie) 8
van der wiel 5–6
mertesacker 8
Raul Meireles 10
van der vaart 12"

Where do people get these prices from? Seriously..

Multiply 12 by 2 and you'll get Gourcuff's price, double Neuer's price as well, and Van Der Wiel's.. Mertsacker said he's not leaving Werder. Meireres is going to United if any place and VDV would cost about 10m and is looked at by Chelsea and Bayern, Arsenal have little chance.
