Kasper Schmeichel is a target for Swansea if Vorm is leaving.

Dream on, he is living on his fathers name, simple not good enough.

No thanks

Won't be the end of the world if vorm goes. Don't get me wrong he's a great keeper. Very agile and two good feet, but I don't think he's been at his best since returning from injury and tremmel is also a very good keeper.

Best keeper in the Championship according to Brightons manager.

Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is destined for the Premier League, believes Barnsley manager David Flitcroft.

Another load of tosh based on Schmeichel's Danish roots

07 Apr 2013 14:12:22
I am not the only person who rates Kasper Schmeichel

It has recently been revealed that Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku will spend another season on loan elsewhere and expressed his desire to play in Europe. Having that been said Swansea City have swooped in and agreed a deal to take him on loan for next season as Swansea are about to embark on an Europa League adventure. This IS a done deal and will be mentioned in the press over the next few weeks.

Hope this rumour is true. Swansea need that type of player.

I'd be ecstatic if this happened *o*

Need a player like him

So Chelsea's new manager (from July) won't have anything to say? Don't be stupid

Mourinho has been spoken too ^^ and he has agreed as Gonzalo Higuian will be joining Chelsea and Torres and Ba will remain at the club.

What a signing that would be! Would love this to happen!

04 Apr 2013 21:51:44
Swansea City will make a £5m move for Hamburg midfielder Jacopo Sala in the summer from a source very close to the club.

Lukakus agent has already come out in the press and rubbished the story. apparently they haven't met or discussed his future yet with chelsea! a lot will depend on who the new manager is

04 Apr 2013 21:48:48
Coventry Takeover will happen, but could take up to 9 months to materialise.

05 Apr 2013 10:26:21
Do you Coventry fans think you will have to sell your best players?

9months. We will be dead and buried by then.

Will that be the birth of a new club

04 Apr 2013 20:58:32
Chesterfield striker scott boden will be going to accrington stanley at the end of the season!
Boden has recently been recalled back to chesterfield from alfreton town scoring 3 goals in 13 games!
Paul cook doesn't see boden as a future cfc star.
Eoin doyle will be a chesterfield player in the summer tv has confirmed.
Jack lester will join up with former cfc midfielder derek niven at grimsby at the end of the season signing a 1 year deal then retiring!

Jack is off to Forest academy as coach

Rotherham United's Steve Evans is being targeted by Partick Thistle, they want him as their Manager for next season. Rob

Please have him, soccer in Scotland is all about aggression, this will suit SE, also we might once again attract players who don't want to come to NYS just for the high wages we pay.

04 Apr 2013 20:03:43
Altrincham striker Damian Reeves is being looked at by Derby County, Peterborough United and Doncaster Rovers.

04 Apr 2013 19:22:37
Rumour going round my work ( I live in hull ) Elhamady wanted back by De Canio

He cannot be recalled from his current loan at Hull

Yes he can

El Mohamady can't be recalled, he's now at city for the rest of the season. Sunderland had their chance to recall him in January and they didn't. The deal was that he then stays at City for the rest of the season.

04 Apr 2013 18:17:07
Partick Thistle are set to replace Manager Alan Archibald with Rotherham United's Steve Evans for the 2013/2014 season. An official announcement is imminent after the two clubs agree compensation.

04 Apr 2013 18:26:28
Stevenage boss Graham Westley is lining up a summer move for striker Anthony Elding.

I really hope this is true as it will show just how bad a manager westley is

04 Apr 2013 20:53:34
elding is doing really well in ireland at the moment with champions, sligo having got 5 in 6 games I think. if he's still there in the summer, he'll be involved in CL qualifiers too so can't see him jumping ship quite yet.

04 Apr 2013 17:13:52
Paul Ince set to be new Leicester boss oh rubbish {Ed034's Note - you mean the same Paul ince who is managing Blackpool???

It would be a step in wrong direction - no disrespect to ince but he's not right for job.
Roberto de matteo - took wba up,champions league winner
Id even go for ole gunnar solskaer or dennis bergkamp curently at ajax

More chance of martin o neil coming back

Your manager has not even been sacked. Have some respect for him instead of talking about canidents for a job that currently is not available.

04 Apr 2013 19:50:59
leave ince were he is to be honest he is a very bad manager who I hope takes blackpool down to league one

Another stupid made up rumour by the lazy press

How can you says he's a bad manager only lost two of his first eight gme and his two wins have came against two teams that are 3rd and 4th. So that sounds like a good manager to me.

04 Apr 2013 16:41:23
Apparently Birmingham are still intrested in Yeovil goalie, Marek Stech. Yeovil want to sign Dan Burn on permantly but it is unlikely as he is highly regarded by Fulham.

04 Apr 2013 19:59:46
No chance of signing Dan for permanent - you may get another half season - but by Jan '14 he'll be in the Fulham squad

We might get Dan Burn on loan next season if we get promoted. COYG

Burn on loan next season would be AMAZING but can only see it happening if we go up. As for Marek He'll go f we fail to gain promoton he's premier league class but if we go up I presume he'll see out hs contract.

So I went to one of Sam Rush's Q & A sessions and, as expected, there were lots of questions about summer budgets and arrivals. These were the bits of info I picked out and how I interpreted them.

Sam said that, in the past, a lot of money has gone on the structural side of the club (stadium, academy, etc) and this won't be the case next year. As a result, more money will be spent on new players.

He also said that Clough has already given him a list of potential targets and that money will be available for him. He said it won't be a 1 in, 1 out thing like in the past although some players will be leaving. He added that, if Nigel really wanted more funds for a specific player, he also would not hesitate to knock on the board's door.

He also openly spoke about areas of need, mainly CB, LB, CM and ST. With this in mind, I expect our summer arrivals to look something like this:
-An experienced CB (Sam admitted that the squad is a bit thin with injuries in defence and that youth may have slightly cost us - no possible targets were given)

-Craig Forsyth - impressed on loan and would be in contention for starting at LB

-An experienced (Sam used the word "gritty") CM to help us grind out games - again, no names

-Chris Martin - again, impressed on loan, Sam was very open in saying they're trying to get a permanent deal for him

-Another striker - possibly Martyn Waghorn/Will Grigg - from the way Sam was talking, I got the impression there would be more than 1 striker coming in - these two have been linked with us the most

-Expect a young winger to come in too, perhaps someone like Shrewsbury's Jon Taylor. Sam said that it would be nice to see Coutts at CM, not sure if he's hinting something there.

He also spoke about Hughes and Brayford perhaps being sold. He was very firm about Hughes, saying it would have to be "silly money" to let him go. He worried me a bit more with Brayford, saying "they would consider offers". Didn't like the sound of that to be honest.

Overall, I was very impressed with Sam Rush. Yes, he's got a bit of a salesman vibe about him but you can also tell he's a proper football fan. There was very little waffle and he very often got quite heated/passionate when he was talking. What I've said is only my interpretation so forgive me if I've misunderstood.

If you have any questions, I may be able to answer them also.

Cheers. In terms of centre back its Monk we are looking at. The gritty midfielder is being scouted for in the spl and the rest are going to be players with potential but ones that can have an impact looking at brandy and grigg at wallsall

Town aren't looking to sell taylor

We already have one young winger in Jacobs. and we don't even play with out and out wingers at the moment.

06 Apr 2013 13:17:00
Cloughie tried wingers with martin and croft but got nowhere, now playing through middle with hughes as fulcrum point. much better. how many crosses has jacobs actually got in the box onto a strikers head. ? not many, even corners don't clear the first man, very disappointing area of rams play.!

04 Apr 2013 16:08:36
Brighton to make an official bid for Virgil Van Dyke as soon as the transfer market reopens. The Amex has seen high attendances week in week out to help build the war chest.

Also expect several fringe players not to have renewed contracts in the summer whichever league Brighton end up in.

Like Gary dicker if you ask me he is a waste of space and belongs in a Sunday league

How about dick van dyke

He should really join Brighton anyway

Everton are showing interest so can see him going there rather than brighton.

He will go to brighton as he will get first team action

He won't go to brighton - as soon as a prem club comes in for a young player - he will go to them as he can get more money than brighton can offer. I am a brighton fan and would love him to come to the club. but as soon as prem teams sniff around a player lower clubs fall down the list.

04 Apr 2013 15:54:51
As Jordan Mustoe is now 22 carlisle are going to offer the the left back a contract at the club as he has impressed during his loan spell. As he is now 22 wigan will not extend his contract at this point.

Would be a good signing if we could get him.

Scored a beauty yesterday.

04 Apr 2013 14:16:46
Jacques Maghoma to join Middlesborough on a free transfer at the end of the season. Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich are all after him as the Midfielder is in a fine form scoring 15 goals and 10 assists so far.

04 Apr 2013 14:15:38
Leeds United have narrowed their short list down to five targets as they hope to make an appointment befor the start of next week.
Former Reading boss Brian McDermott is the front runner for the job and is seen as the ideal man to replace Neil Wanrock.
Former Toronto manager Chris Cummins is a surprise name in the frame. Cummins is a close friend of McDermott as the 41 year old works at The Madejski under his former boss as reserve coach.
Former Dagenham & Redbridge man Garry Hill has been interviewed and apparently impressed the United board. Hill is managing in the non league with Woking but is wanting to step back up.
The fourth manager is Martin O'Neill. The Northern Irish boss left Sunderlamd at the weekend and is wanting to get straight back into football and ses the Yorkshire club as the right place.
The final name on the short list is former Blackburn and Manchester City manager Mark Hughes but is thought to be the last on the sheet of five.

Heard its Paul Dickov! should be out in the next 24 hrs

Ian dowie is the man for you

04 Apr 2013 13:54:51
The striker Chesterfield have signed on a pre-contract deal is Eoin Doyle from Hibs - played under cook at Sligo. Also new deals for armand and brindley are close (source tv sport)

Heard a lot about Brindley. Got a good future and sounds like he's got the right attitude.
Doyle is a good signing for Chesterfield. Surprised he's left Hibs to be honest but will score goals in League 2.

If Brindley signs a long term contract, that is an amazing coup for the Spirerites. Staggered that every Championship and L1 club is not after him

Both Brindley and Gnandulliet have gone, I understand their agent wanted a back hander so he was told where to go, Politely I assume, Lol
and quite rightly So

The Football League are investigating a southern-based League Two club with regard to financial irregularities. The investigation is expected to conclued sometime in May. If, and it seems very likely they will, found guilty this club will be relegated three divisions, as per league ruiles. As a result this club will commence next season in the Isthmian (Ryman) League Premier Division.

04 Apr 2013 17:14:51
Please be oxford

Be interesting to see who it is. I think the obvious choice is Plymouth Argyle. Been poorly ran over the last few years. Haven't heard of any other club struggling financially. Torquay seems to be a bit of a shambles this season but I think that's only due to Martin Ling being ill.

04 Apr 2013 19:16:27
I've heard it's Oxford united it happened under previous board and was the reason jim rosenthal walked away

I see the silly scumdon boy's have nothing better to do than tell Porkies wish they would worry where the next money for them is coming from

Where have you got this information from, as surely it would be a big story in football league.

04 Apr 2013 11:56:09
Sunderland lining up a reported 1.5m bid for Bournemouth midfielder Matt Ritchie, Di canio is desperate to lure Matt Ritchie to the stadium of light having played under Di canio at Swindon!

Though Matt Richie is a good player, he is not a tried player in the Premier League and he is not worth that money in any event. So not sure where the author has his info from. PDC spent and spent at Swindon Town and caused lots of financial problems. Here he goes again - open cheque book for so long and then the board will get fed up with wastage

04 Apr 2013 14:48:54
I'd say about 5 million at least

£5m. You are having a laugh. He has never played outside league 1. I've said it before and I will say it again. it is stupid valuations like this that are ruining the English team. Premiership clubs can sign foreign International players for a better return, thus stopping English talent playing in the top flight.

04 Apr 2013 19:04:18
Ritchie is worth 1.5 million we sold him for stupid money to Bournemouth and don't spout of rubbish about Di Canio putting our club in a precarious financial position he spent the money he was given and if our ex chairman was too weak to say no to Paolo that is not his fault.

Ritchie is a very good player which is why he has got L1 player of the year but whether he is premiership i'm not too sure. Bournemouth paid 800k for Matt Tubbs who is at best a L2 player and that fee was double what Bournemouth paid for Ritchie.
Im a Swindon fan and all the fans that were behind Paolo when he was at the club a few have now turned on him since he left but he was the best thing we've had at our club since Hoddle.

Paulo would want him but he ain't tried and tested premier legue would be a step to far and he ain't worth more than a million
From a sensible swindon fan

Could be worth a punt at £1.5 million. Just watched him on you tube and he looks good

Ritchie thinks he 'mad' - not sure he would want to work with him again. Beside PDC won't be their at the end of the season - he'll be found out not up to it.

I thought Swindon valued him at £2 million?

That was PDC valuation not swindon towns valuation. PDC always has put high valuation on his players st Swindon, as it showed the board had a different value for Matt ritchie.

05 Apr 2013 07:58:52
Ritchie liked playing under Paolo don't underestimate so of you Paolo haters how clever he is. Paolo is going to surprise a lot of his knockers in the premier league and will be a success at Sunderland. All the so called experts said he would only last 6 months at swindon and would be a failure well he proved them wrong. They said the same about Hoddle when he was our manager and he went on to Chelsea and England.
Some of the anti Paolo people need to get off the anti Paolo campaign this guy will be a breath of fresh air in the premier league he will be top entertainment. As for Ritchie he would play with Paolo again but premier league is too early for him at the moment.

I don't think anybody knew he was at Swindon to be fair. Now he is in the premiership he is in the spotlight hence all the interest in his personal life. I imagine he didn't have much exposure at Swindon, no disrespect

Well PDC valued him a £5 million, so he'll have to pay £5 million. Nice tidy profit for Bournemouth to spend on experienced championship players come end of season.

I would take 5m but he is deffintely not worth thet probily 1.8m.

Norwich city boss Chris Hughton looks set to try and raid his former club after it was said that he is interested in the signing of Nathan Redmund

He won't be here to sign anybody lo.

Would be a great signing, this young lad has bags of potential and looks really dangerous running at defences with his pace. kind of attacking winger that were in need of.

"Would be a great signing, this young lad has bags of potential and looks really dangerous running at defences with his pace. kind of attacking winger that were in need of".

Completely agree! He's the type of winger we don't have at the club. Someone with pace and his first intention is to run at the full back. Can also cross and score, unlike Elliot Bennett!

Elliott Bennett is a lot better than snodgrass! Did the job in 2011/12 but for some reason has been replaced by a slow winger who can barley pass the ball and is only played to score one in ever fifty free kicks.

Wow someone who finally agrees with me about how overated snodgrass is. you got it in one Bennett did the job last year and was a lot more direct. he actually looked to put balls in the box unlike snodgrass. its no surprise if bennets performances haven't been so good this year after he was replaced with someone who contributes sod all and is hero worshiped for it.

The wingers we have are fine but must be allowed to attack first not defend

Oh my lord. So you think Bennett is better than Snodgrass?! WOW. Major heads gone moment there

I hate it when people keep getting on the Hughton case to be sacked. if he keeps us up then he has done a good job in his 1st season in charge of a team that on paper should be struggling in the prem. but with players like wolfswinkle coming in the summer and other players that i'm hearing we are being linked with, I think the future looks bright under Hughton. we just need to get behind the team and stay up and i'm sure we will see a different Norwich City next season!

You're completely right, our main attacking threat, now top scorer and i'm presuming leading assist provider is massively over-rated. Can't believe we wasted all that money on him

Bennett went past more players yesterday than snodgrass has all season! And his header to score the goal even came close to missing! Also like to point out Bennett had both assists for the goals yesterday. Ben snodgrass's free kicks were bad and look what happened as soon as Bennett took one. We scored!

Things like freekicks are part of training sessions, and Hughton would assign a main freekick tacker from whos looked the most dangerous in training. Snodgrass has done well in his 1st season in the prem, he isn't afraid to run at people with the ball and we have scored most of our goals this season from set plays, with Snodgrass taking most of them. and he gets himself goals as well. I like Bennett don't get me wrong, and he can still have a role to play in the squad, but Snodgrass is better!

Other than the obvious, Bennett's deliveries in the game were generally poor. I remember at one point he was wide right, level with the 18yd box in about 40 yards of space and he spooned the ball out for a goalkick. I think anyone who doubts Snodgrass only needs to watch him to see he is one of our top players and has the stats to back that up.

I have watched snodgrass many times and am regularly at CR watching the games. When playing one up top Bennett is definitely your option, far more pace and a lot better at beating men. The ball your talking about I remember seeing and thinking it was a very uncharacteristic move for Bennett so I agree, with the team we are playing, Bennett over snodgrass

Watford keeper Jonathon Bond is being watched by Premier League clubs including Fulham, Sunderland and Arsenal.
Crystal Palace youngster Jonathan Williams is being watched by clubs including Manchester City, Arsenal and Real Madrid.
Southampton interested in signing Adam Le Fondre and Fabian Delph if both Reading and Aston Villa are relegated.

Delph isn't good enough.

But Southampton could be relegated

No he isn't, another silly artical, I'm still 50/50 with him, he looks great but maybe not good enougth for the Prem leauge

Bonds contract expires In summer so might be on his way but would like to see him stay or go to a club where he will get to play rather than be a well paid under study - and that includes Watford where he is still seen as number two behind Almunia.

Le fondre won't leave especially for a team like Southampton

Le Fondre won't join a club like Southamption?

What a premiership club who can pay him 10K a week, I think you will find that that's just what the boys looking for.

Oooooo bitchy! lol we are looking at better players than Le Fondre and Delph that we can be sure of

After his recent performances I hope we hold on to bond. He's 19, and a fantastic talent. Definitely think he needs regular first team experience, so should be loaned out next season

The Pozzos are unlikely to let Bond leave, not their style as he meets their criteria of being young and talented. More likely to see him leave on loan to a larger club if Watford don't make the prem next season. Whatever happens please let's not forget that he is still relatively inexperienced and his future worth to any club can only be judged when he has played for at least a season.

I second that, le fondre will not join Southampton, mainly because if we buy any strikers in the summer it will be to improve the squad. He is not a bad player but will be the type of player that goes to the newly promoted teams unless Adkins can convince him to promotion push next season

05 Apr 2013 11:28:58
Le fonder would jump at the chance to go to saints but he ain't good enough should stay in championship but not with a little club like reading

Jonathan Bond and his representatives are already negotiating a new dea lwith Watford FC

He wouldn't join a club like southampton? By that do you mean a better club that will be in the league above you next year, not that we'd want him anyway, I'd rather keep Sharp to be honest

LeFondre won't go to a club like southampton?
Very bitter Reading fans. Very bitter indeed!
You are right though he won't go to us because we don't want him. Decent little player but we have better already in Lambert and JayRod and we will be looking to sign much higher calibre players in the summer as we did with Ramirez last summer.

Neither Delph or Le Fondre will be moving to Southampton as neither fit the bill for what's needed or are really good enough. Southampton are almost safe already and will be looking for serious improvements to this side to sign rather than players who are relegation standard.

"what a premiership c;ub who can pay him 10k a week"

1-STOP straight away he's already on more than that, so he wouldn't leave for that reason.

2-He realises that Reading fans would lose respect and that means something to him as "were the club who gave him his chance"

3-He said he doesn't want to leave no matter what league

4-Our new owner said he doesn't need to sell

5-It would cost silly money to persuade us

6-Not being funny but "he is not good enough" if he was at southampton he would be the second highest scorer and considering that's mainly from the bench, your statements incorrect

7-Scored more than Sharp, he's better than southampton as well

Rumour that Oxford chairman has decided against rocking the boat with Gary Rowett of Burton or Mark Yates of Cheltenham as progress is being made and will therefore give Chris Wilder one more season to win promotion as a thanks for his efforts but it's promotion or out.

Well the chairman can clear off as well

Oh I hope not. What a nightmare if he stays. I don't know where the author of this post suggests about rocking the boat is an issue. Far from it. The crowds will diminish even more. So keeping Wilder will in fact cause major issues with supporters

04 Apr 2013 18:32:44
The opening post is on a wind up.

04 apr 2013 21:26:53
i hope the owner of oxford united will see sense and not only sack wilder and his coaching staff but also clearout the playing staff as well or relegation next season may well be what oxford united will get
