Leeds have been linked with a bunch of names the latest being Chopra, ALAN SMITH, Caulker and john Stead
but plea se i doubt alan smith will return and most fans hate him, personally i don't his leaving of leeds saved us from liquidation and i know we hate man u but at that time only man u could get the best out of him, so who could blame him .
Chopra has threatend to leave, UNLESS cardiff brought in players so they got KOUMAS who i like so maybe he'll stay but if not he'll be about 3.9 mill Leeds have that but i doubt we'll bother
Caulker is good but we signed like 4 defenders already, Connoley, Bessone, collins, bruce etc so he won't get a game much and that's what spurs don't want

Need to clear up a few things because ther is a lot of nonsense being posted on here at the moment. Man Utd have got transfer funds available and sufficient funds too. Mesut Ozils transfer is just a matter of days away, a deal has been agreed in principle and Ozil is close to agreeing personal terms. Stephen Defour is being lined up for january but could join in this window if a rival club makes a serious offer, and for the record that won't be Liverpool. Stephen Defour is an emerging talent and won't want to join a mid table premiership side like them. Sources of mine have also indicated that Sir Alex Ferguson is considering a move for Jack Wilshere who he sees as being one of the best young players in europe. Benzema 30 milion?? Maybe two years ago, not now. He is a benchwarmer at Madrid n Mourinho would happily take 15 million for him. funny about Ozil isn't it, he's worth 12 million when Werder rejected a 20 million bid for him from Real Madrid, which is his preferred destination.Absolute rubbish on the Ozil comment. madrids attacking targets were canales (who was tied up before season end) di maria and a possible move for villa or silva. The reason Ozil is now coming out to say england, chelsea and man u prefered is madrid not interested, barca 100% commited to trying to get cesc and only other teams with ucl and title challenging sides are the 2 mentioned. bremen never in a million years would of rejected 20m for a player with 1 year left as any team wouldn't either. it would make no business sense at all and their board should be sacked if they have.
I think they set a price that has never been met though i doubt utd have tabled a bid. price likely to be 10–13m and with fergies stubbornness he will have an idea and won't differ from that if it falls short then he simply won't come. doubt chelsea will move for him as they seem happy to have ramires and benayoun to replace their outgoings which only leaves utd.
I would like him at utd and think his movement with rooney and hernandez(who looks a real good striker) would run most teams ragged. Also an added bonus would be that with all this mobility and movement berba will be found out and stick out even more as the weak link in a fast free flowing attacking team and fergie will get rid. This is my 1st rumour so i'll tell you what i heard!
I have a good friend who is the cousin of 2 Man'ure players they are also brothers so you know who i'm talking about and he says that Ozil is seriously considering a move to Old Trafford. The reason being is that Bayern (his 1st choice) are not willing to pay what Werder Bremen want for him and apparently he's asking for to much wage's if Bayern agree a fee. There is no indication that Hinkel will move from Celtic as there's simply been no interest or offers from any other Club. Hinkel recently said "If no one is interested then I will stay".
Loovens will be a first team regular at CB after the departure of Caldwell, McManus, and Caddis. The only way Celtic could possibly sell Loovens is if they first sign a replacement. There has been no indication that Loovens will be sold by Celtic at this point and no other Club has shown strong interest in the Player.

With regard to Arteta, he already has a long deal, Everton have offered more to entice him to stay. However if the family problems are swaying his decision he will probably move to Spain regardless. Mikel Arteta has assured Everton that they will be his only EPL club.

SAF said he's happy with the squad and on the utd website there is a thing called "pick your XI".and they usually put that thing after we buy players..
And during May he said he wanted to bring in one or two new players, SAF is hardly going to come out and say who his after, and he never tells the whole truth to the press cos truth is we look at so many players every year, but with the World Cup and the new 25–man squad rule everyone trying to work out the kinks in there teams, so means less transfer then normal.
SAF wants a playmaker, its no secret that we lacked a spark and creativity in the middle last season, you don't need to even be "In the Know" to know all this. SAF been banging on about value, and i get the feeling that any targets he had lined up for CAM slot were either staying with there club or didn't in SAF eyes represent value, and he didn't want to get into a bidding war with likes of City & Real. M.
If you look at the time line SAF said he was happy with his squad (and his not that wrong btw, it only need a few tweaks) Just not long before he found out that Ozil was available and only had a year to run on his contract, and for round about 12Million the same money we recouped by selling both Foster and Tosic this summer, it won't be a problem money wise getting him.
I get the feeling that SAF didn't believe he could get this lad and he would head off to Spain (he may still you never know), but out of the 4 clubs (Barca, Chelsea, Real & Man Utd) Ozil has said he wouldn't mind playing for, all the clubs (apart from United) have got something blocking them, for this summer at least.
Real.M – Have Kaka there, and they just brought Canales as well and i think VDV only at start of July said he would be staying at Real.M for another year, which is smart as Kaka has injury problems, Canales is unproven as of now at Real.M and VDV played very well last season, good back up to have, so if anything happens be next summer.
Barca –Are looking at a CDM to replace Yaya Toure atm, and they will forever go for Cesc regardless if Ozil there or not, i know Ozil would love to play for them but i doubt even Ozil would like being benched most weeks, if a move appears for him it won't be this year, and there's nothing stopping him for leaving to go there when his gained that experience and matured a few years from now and Xavi retired and Iniesta got a bit older.
Chelsea – Are after other targets, not saying they couldn't go after him, but think Carlo Ancelotti has Moluda for LW spot and Lampard for CAM. And I'm not sure Chelsea have every approached Either Bremen or Ozil agents or Ozil himself about a move, sure someone ITK would know for sure though.
Bayern – Already have Muller, plays same role as Ozil and is even younger then he is.

If anyone wants to know what's going on then I will be this month, Bremen have a Champions League play off 1st leg match on either the 17/18th of August, if Ozil plays in it he will be cup tied in Champs League, and that mean he leave next summer on a free, if he doesn't play for whatever reason, he will be off before Sept comes around and if that's case imo he will be moving in last week of August.
I'm sure Bremen would love to keep Ozil, but they have to be realistic and say if they do they can't gather any money from him, and if they do lose him, it would have to be now so they can find a replacement as soon as possible.

As a West Ham fan and supporter's club member I am at a loss for words with our owners and the new signing. Posting on your own club's website that a great young player who performed well at the last World Cup was on his way, obviously had all hammers fans eating out of the palm of their hands with excitement and anticipation. Granted this player wouldn't be French or Italian but rumours of Asamoah Gyan, Thomas Mueller, Robinho (on loan) and Kevin Prince Boateng all surfaced. Granted how we could afford these players was at the back of every West Ham fan's mind, but the chairmen's words had all fans at fever pitch. I'm not for one minute going to say that Winston Reid isn't a talent, but would any other Premiership side give him such a big build up?
I will happily support Reid as a player at my club (his new club) and not judge him until I've seen him play. However, such misleading quotes (albeit true ones) should not be bounded about like exciting news giving fans false optimism.
Therefore if anyone has any news about any other new West Ham signings that may cheer us poor Hammers up, then I am well up for hearing them! And not too many false piss takes please!

Mesut Ozil will not be going to Man U, he stated himself he will be staying at his current club and if he moves his preffered destination is Spain.
Sergio 'Kun' Aguero will go to neither Chelsea nor Liverpool. Chelsea are not looking to buy anyone and Liverpool don't have the money.
The takeover at Liverpool looks very likely to happen but sadly for LFC fans not before the transfer window closes. Kenny Huang or a group of Canadian and Arab business men look top of the list.
West Ham fans are constantly talking about buying very good players: Alexis Sanchez and Loic Remy. Firstly where is the money coming from and secondly why would they go to West Ham?

Heard an interesting rumour with regards to the Milner to Man City deal. When discussions were first started O'Neill wanted 10 million plus Ireland and Adam Johnson (who was O'Neill principal target in January) or 30 million cash. Man City were anxious a) not to lose Johnson and b) did not want to spend the full 30 million and as such offered Ireland plus cash or Ireland, SWP and cash, but the dispute is ongoing as to how much Ireland is worth which determines how much cash is being paid. Man city are getting impatient and as such seem acquiesce (albeit reluctantly) to the 10 million plus Ireland and Adam Johnson as both players are unsettled by the amount of competition at City now. As such O'Neill will not follow up with McGeady who may well stay at Celtic for another year.

As predicted on saturday the James Milner deal is now nearing completion. The figure has been agreed at £27million, with £19million cash and Stephen Ireland. That way both clubs appear to have won the battle over price, with the debate of Ireland's value being the decider. This will be completed no later than Monday 9th August
Aiden McGeady is still very much Villa's number 1 target and Villa and City are now trying to push the deal through so Villa can get McGeady, who will stall on the Moscow deal.

Ozil (85% chance) – About to come to England as part of the Fulham v Werder friendly match later in the week. During this period, Ozil's representative will be taking to Manchester United. Whether a deal can be agreed is another issue, but I'm sure it will be an initial £12m, with all sorts of bonuses (as is most of United's transfers recently due to the financial situation).
Defour (50%) – No doubt this is a player that SAF likes and wants, however it's a carbon copy of the Rooney transfer. SAF will only bid now if another club decides to bid, otherwise he'll monitor Defour this season with a likelihood of a bid attempt next Summer.
Benzema (0%) – There was significant interest in Benzema prior to the World Cup, especially with Jose's arrival at Real Madrid, SAF was confident a deal could be struck. Chelsea will not be buying Kaka. Ancelotti has already made it clear that he has no intention of even bidding for him.. let alone signing him.

Blackpool have this week had Marlon Harewood and Michael Ball on trial. My sources tell me that the Harewood deal may be on but the stumbling block is going to be his wages. Michael Ball has not impressed as much so Olly is going to give him a chance in the game against Hibs on Saturday. Everton playmaker Mikel Arteta has reportedly told newspaper El Mundo Deportivo that he would jump at the chance to return to Barcelona
Reports surfaced over the weekend that the Catalan giants were cooling on their interest in Cesc Fabregas and instead were looking at the £12m rated Arteta at Everton.
Like Fabregas, Arteta was a trainee at Barca but left for Rangers in 2002 and according to the reports, he has already told Everton boss David Moyes that he wants to return to Spain.
How much truth is in that remains to be seen but Moyes will be desperate to keep the player on board at Goodison Park but he will know if Barcelona come calling it may well be an uphill battle.

How do people seriously expect Fulham (a club with a wage budget, (remember what one of those is City)) to sign ireland 120k, bellemy 85k, bridge 80k, santa cruz 90k. maybe on loan with a 50/50 split on wages, certainly not full time with those wages.

Walter Smith is biding his time about signing as the new squad rules in the EPL mean that there may be a few players either available for loan or for a reduced transfer fee. We don't have a lot of money as everyone knows, so he is waiting to try to get the best value for what we have available.
Also as to the debt, £20m is re–payable at £1m a year, so the debt (including the rest) is managable. Also with respect to the possible HMRC issue, they seem to be issuing against a few English teams in court recently so if it was a cast iron case then surely they would have taken rangers to court already (before anyone says they are waiting for the outcome of the other cases, these would not set a precendent as they are under English law not Scottish)
