Jonathan Woodgate is currently in talks over a possible loan move until the end of the season.

He is currently in Leeds and is staying overnight in Leeds to meet with Simon Grayson on Wednesday afternoon when he gets back from Cardiff.

Woodgate would be number 39 at Elland Road in his second spell with the club.

Brian McDermott has said that he will not sell any first teams players in the window.

He stated that Gylfi Siggurdsson was only sold because of the clubs lack of money at the time but now, due to the stable position of the club their is nothing to worry about as a Reading fan.

West Ham were given a hands-off warning over top scorer Shane Long.

McDermott has also said that Reading are not ruling out any new signings if they can find the right player.

The probable targets are Mikele Leigertwood, currently on loan at the club from QPR could make the deal permenant and ex-academy player Charlie Austin could be taking the short trip from Swindon to Reading to help the Royals' promotion bid.

my opinion =CB hangeland (10m) much better than mertesaker and porven in the prem although cahill is a good option

LB enrique (6m) newcastle boy better than taiwo although not as good as coentrao but he would cost 14m+ so theres acceptions.

hazaed and elia why when theres ashley young(13m) and matt jarvis(5m) who would cost much cheaper and are just as good and who knows if elia and hazard could hangle the prem

carton cole has got talent but his injury record puts me off but thers playeres like rodellega, kevin doyle and jerome who wouldent cost for than 10m

Alex McLeish is looking to add some attacking flair to his squad by making a £6m move for Robbie Keane and a £7.5m move for Ryan Babel. Manchester City have agreed a £27m move for Edin Dzeko. It was announced by N Atkins yesterday that we have made substantial offers on a number of players and Austin is one of them.It is believed he has at least 5 million at his disposal

To the fool who suggested Andy wilkinson is rubbish and get sent off all the time. The last time he was sent off was against Manchester united two seasons ago. To all those posting about Gary Cahill having the 17Mil release clause, yes he does have this in his contract, HOWEVER, where you are not exactly the brightest bunch in the bush is as follows:

By having this clause it does NOT mean that players can not be sold for less than that amount, all it means if that by having this clause, if an offer of that amount is offered, then the club has to accept it, if the amount is lower then the club can still accept it.

The same goes for the majority of reasonably good Spanish players, whom nearly all have a release clause which is genreally a ridiculous amount, but they will the majority of the time still be sold for a lot less than the amount in the clause.(9)(2)

I have it on good authority that Liverpool will try and make two signings this January, Eljero Elia from Hamburg for around £12m and Luis Suarez of Ajax for between £15m and £18m. I know Suarez personally and have spoken to him once in the past couple of weeks. In the past we have spoken of his next move and he has always mentioned Liverpool FC as the team he follows. He said he is a little upset at the way the team has fallen but that he is keen to join them still and hopes they make a bid this month. Between you and me I think he wants to become the player to turn them around and get the love from the fans like Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard get. He never told me this but I feel this is what he is thinking. He also said he would be tempted by Arsenal should Liverpool not come in. He did rule out a move to both Manchester clubs, but no mention of Chelsea, Spurs or any other team. Liverpool are also hoping to secure the signings of two more players in the Summer with a left back and centreback targeted. One from Italy and one from Portugal. As of yet I don't know who they are but will try to find out as soon as I can. Eden Hazard will not be joining Liverpool so sorry any fans of Liverpool who were hoping for that signing. I believe he will be off to either Lyon or Bayern Munich.

News on Romelu Lukaku is that he won't be moving until the end of the season. Manchester City have ruled themselves out of the running as have Spurs. I have it on good authority that Liverpool will try and make two signings this January, Eljero Elia from Hamburg for around £12m and Luis Suarez of Ajax for between £15m and £18m. I know Suarez personally and have spoken to him once in the past couple of weeks. In the past we have spoken of his next move and he has always mentioned Liverpool FC as the team he follows. He said he is a little upset at the way the team has fallen but that he is keen to join them still and hopes they make a bid this month. Between you and me I think he wants to become the player to turn them around and get the love from the fans like Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard get. He never told me this but I feel this is what he is thinking. He also said he would be tempted by Arsenal should Liverpool not come in. He did rule out a move to both Manchester clubs, but no mention of Chelsea, Spurs or any other team. Liverpool are also hoping to secure the signings of two more players in the Summer with a left back and centreback targeted. One from Italy and one from Portugal. As of yet I don't know who they are but will try to find out as soon as I can. Eden Hazard will not be joining Liverpool so sorry any fans of Liverpool who were hoping for that signing. I believe he will be off to either Lyon or Bayern Munich.

News on Romelu Lukaku is that he won't be moving until the end of the season. Manchester City have ruled themselves out of the running as have Spurs. Im not sure about the Leeds Utd fans comments regarding Kevin Phillips leaving Thorp Arch? However I can tell you what is a fact pal and that is Kevin Phillips who is best mates with Lee Clark & Kevin Kilbane was at the Huddersfield Town victory at the Galpharm today over Sheffield Wednesday.
