Likely Chelsea next season:
4–3–3
GK: Cech/Turnbull/Delac
RB: NEW PLAYER/Bosingwa/
CB: Terry/Alex/Ivanovic/Bruma
LB: A.Cole/Zhirkov/Van Aanholt

CDM: Mikel/Ballack/Mancienne
CM(2 From): Lampard/Essien/NEW PLAYER/Matic/

LW: Malouda/Anelka/Kakuta
RW: NEW PLAYER/Kalou/Stoch
ST: Drogba/Sturridge/Borini

Van Aanholt/Bruma/Kakuta/Matic/Borini promoted to first team squad.

Gael Kakuta will NOT be a regular first team starter for Chelsea, he will be given Carling Cup/League Subs this season. He is only 18 years old.

Out:
Hilario
Ferreira
Carvalho
Deco
Belletti
J.Cole (POSSIBLY)

In:
Srna looks likely to join, would provide us with an experienced RB, as well as having the ability to cover the midfield positions if necessary.

We are in need of a midfield playmaker, someone young preferably, however this may depend on some player's performances in the World Cup. Sneijder would be my personal choice.

Benayoun of Liverpool has been heavily linked with Chelsea, and could fill the gap left by Deco, until the likes of Nemanja Matic/Josh McEachran are ready for the first team.

Athletico Madrid seem to be playing hardball over Aguero, making him unlikely to sign. If he performs well in the World Cup, his price would only increase. Fernando Torres/Alexandre Pato are both names being linked with this position. However, it is unlikely that Chelsea would be willing to pay £40m plus for either.

Loan:
Di–Santo
Bertrand
Cork
Hutchinson

To the IDIOT that posted this :

Sheffield United and LEEDS UNITED NEWS:

Free agent striker Daniel Bogdanovic has confirmed he is keen to stay in Yorkshire after leaving Barnsley.

The Malta international was released by The Tykes last week after they revealed he declined what the club described as a 'very generous offer'.

Bogdanovic never planned on leaving the Oakwell club, but after living in Sheffield for the past 18 months he is keen on staying in the area.

Front runners

Sheffield United are believed to be the front–runners for the striker's services, although Championship new–boys Leeds United are also said to be in the frame.

"I wanted to stay at the club, I never said I'd leave. But I never came back to them about a contract, " said Bogdanovic.

"Whatever happens now, my next club must be right for me and my family. I do enjoy living in Sheffield, so we will see what happens."

He has already signed for Sheff utd you idiot. Leeds also released a statement after Bogdanovic claimed he turned down leeds, saying that they showed no interest in him, however they did recieve a call saying he was available. You are just copying these rumours from the Sky Sports website!

Fellow rangers fans we are on the verge of three in a row we couldnt afford m.petrov.
got a pal who works at ibrox a consulting assistant
and he said its private but an old player will rejoin us this seasontruth

any idea atol who it might be m8, i heard something about hutton a while ago involving bougherra going the other way. i would hope it would be hutton, lovenkrands or ferguson(no chance whatsoever)
i havent heard anything this is just me personally but i think liverpool may throw kygriakos into the wilson deal. wouldn't really want him back. i do hope wilson leaves tho he is a great prospect but i don't want any1 at ibrox who isn't 100% commited. how do others feel about wilson?

Yes Mourinho could have recommended Sneijder to Man United because Jose is under the illusion that he will get the Man United job. Man United could consider bringing in a keeper in August, Suddenly my source tells me that City will look to bring in Milner and Defoe and Cambiasso possibly Navas and Chiellini. Sources continue saying that Forlan will be sold if they get Suarez and recieve the right price. Morimoto will be bought by Arsene Wenger if he is available on the cheap. Liverpool are still not progressing but have a potential buyer making an enquiry about the price of Liverpool. Everton have ended their pursuit for Joao Moutinho.. For now!
Unknown.

LEEDS UNITED NEWS :

Marcus Olsson is attracting mounting interest from England.

The 21–year–old is currently on the books of Halmstads in his homeland, where he has been a first–team regular for the past two years.

A number of mature performances have brought him to the attention of clubs outside of Scandinavia, with it widely expected that he will be on the move this summer.

A switch to England appears to be the most likely option, with his twin brother Martin already plying his trade at Blackburn Rovers.

Marcus is hoping to tread a similar path in the near future, but for now the Premier League may be a step too far.

He could, however, be drafted in by a Championship club, with Bristol City and newly–promoted Leeds United reported to be interested.

It is understood that a bid of around £600,000 would be enough to tempt Halmstads into a sale.

To the idiot that posted this
Celtic Ins and Out

Celtic have rejected £ 8.3 million bid by Spartack Moscow for McGeady because of the installment terms for payment. Spartak may come back with COD , but the sticking point beyond that is McGeady himself who wants to go but is sceptical about the benfit of a move to Russia – he fancies the EPL. English teams have however been reluctant to view him in that price band , and as such he may have to stay at CP and attempt to prove himself to a southern audience . Celtic will not sell their only asset for less than £ 8 million. Boruc must go , the club are desperate to sell and will accept offers of £ 2 million only. Hinkel is not rated by Lennon to the degree tha he would resist a £ 1 million bid. Samaras will be released on a free if someone will take his wages , similarly Kiko Mizuno , Zhi and Crosas. Camara , N'Guemo, Braafheid and Keane will not have loan terms extended. Injury has rendered the Nordic contingent largely unknown to Lenny , ditto Dutchman Hoosveld, but what Lenny has seen has left him worried that they won't train on. Still he is stuck with them.

There is no cash available for transfers or wages above any raised by sales and departures . As this may come to £ 3 million only expect : Sol Campbell – Free , Bullard – Loan , Lawrence – £ 2 million and Owen – Free

Leeds are close to making their third summer signing having agreed a deal in principle with an unnamed player.

Simon Grayson has already brought in goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and striker Billy Paynter after steering his side to the Championship via automatic promotion.

The Whites boss has been linked with a number of other players as he attempts to bolster his current string.

Derby's Paul Connolly is amongst the reported targets, and chairman Ken Bates has confirmed discussions are ongoing with a string of other players.

Bates said the Yorkshire club have already agreed a deal in principle for a third summer signing but would not reveal the details until a contract is signed.

DONCASTER ROVERS UPTDATE

Tom Kennedy has signed a three year deal with Rovers. He was Sean O'Driscoll's priority after losing 2 left backs already.

Also i have just got back form a 4 day trip from Barcelona, where boarding from Manchester on the way out there was Preston striker Chris Brown, I had a quick chat with him at Barcelona airport and i asked him would he ever come back to Doncaster. Hs reply, and i quote, ' Definitely'. Certainly would love to see him back at Donny would be an ideal strike partner for someone like Billy sharp, who by the way will not be signing for Burnley or Leeds.

He has told sheff united and Doncaster he would only leave United for the Rovers as they can guarantee him first team football and he loved his loan spell her last season. Don't rule out another loan move if a permanent move cannot be arranged.

Any reliable Celtic news on players and when will we be annoucing the manager? Mainly talking to daviebhoy who info has been the only info that is reliable

–––––––––––––

Cheers, I heard that Lenny was either Today, or MOnday latest ( on tue i was told this) same day I was told that 2 players would be unveiled same day, pretty sure that 1 will be campbell, delay over lawrence (about 250k short) expect that to be finalised tue with a 1.7m plus appearance money deal, The only delay over Ledley is he's now on holiday, Cardiff have offered him a wage increase to 13k a week, plus a 150k re–signing bonus (that is fact) however it is about 5 k a week shor of the celtic offer, and celtic have offered a 500k signing bonus as he's a free (wage is fact on that one, signing fee, i've been told, is only an estimate)

But no matter what, Lenny has the job, the delay hasn;t been his wages, it's the board's insistence of a mentor, he agreed to a part time one, but it looks like the baxter deal has fallen through, so expect him to sign without one, however, don;t be surprised if Davie Hay comes on board not long after

Daviebhoy (Celtics shame) Goodwillie is a Celtic fan from the Raploch in Stirling. He won't be signing for Rangers, he said it himself in the old post office bar in Stirling on Wednesday night when he swanned in like a superstar with 3 ned friends. This is FACT, I seen it myself as I was there.

Seriously, he entered the bar, went straight to the downstairs toilets and appeared 10 mins later sniffing like he had the cold.

I hope he had the cold, but I don't think so.

Lets hop he opts for Scotlands second best team in history, rather than the best team in Scottish football history.

TO ALL THE PEOPLE SAYING FABREGAS CAN BUY OUT HIS CONTRACT, NO HE CANNOT. 2 GUYS HAVE ALREADY POSTED THE TRUTH AND NO ONE LISTENS:

Cesc signed a contract renewal for an extra year and a pay rise in 2009, so he can only buy himself out in 2012, from the day in which he signed his contract extension.

Onto some real Arsenal rumours:

–Laurent Koscielny – £6, 500,000 + Coquelin and Traore Loan
– Mark Schwarzer – £4,000,000. Apparently Fulham are already looking at David James, does that suggest something?
– Gregory Van Der Wiel – £8,000,000. Maicon looks likely to leave Inter, and Sagna will probably replace him as a big money offer for a 27 year old could be tempting.
– Gai Assulin – Free
– Eden Hazard – £15,000,000 + add ons. One of the best signings in the summer, will probably be loaned back though.

no Cole, no Gourcuff or anyone else like that.

Schwarzer

Van Der Wiel Koscielny Vermaelen Clichy

Song

Fabregas Ramsey

Nasri Arshavin
Van Persie

Looks like a squad that could win the title, Ramsey is to come of age after Injury and really step up. No point signing Gourcuff. Campbell's experience should still be here, and when Cesc leaves next summer, Nasri goes into the middle, Wilshere goes out wide, and Hazard would replace Arshavin, we don't need a big mouth 30 year old winger next summer.

Season after that:

Schwarzer

Van Der Wiel Koscielny Vermaelen Gibbs

Song

Wilshere Nasri Ramsey Hazard

Van Persie.

Im no physic but if no one like Denilson or Diaby suddenly turn really good, or someone turns bad, this is what I expect.

WOLVES LATEST

Wolves will be signing ronaldo, kaka, rooney, ronaldinio and a number of others for 60 pence a week on 10 year contracts and expect to have their state of the art 120,000 seater capacity stadium built by next week. believe me I know, I'm best mates with Steve Morgan and all the players afore mentioned.

As you can guess I'm talkin st. All I'd ask is that the rest of the people on here who pretend to be bessie mates with everyone under the sun grow up a bit. What the hell is the point.

LFC
I have "facts" bout what is goin on at Anfield.

1) Rafa was offered a "promotion" to director of football, which he refused, and was told he no longer has a job. This is why it has actually cost LFC £3million.
This was because the proposed new owners do not want Rafa as gaffa and was not willing to sack him and pay him upto £15mill.
New owners wil be in place by end of month.

2) Sami Hyppia will return in a coaching role to work under dalglish (director of football). This will be announced by Tuesday nest week

Mark my words !

"Oh really that's funny that you saw Bates outside Elland Road when he said the official site this morning that he was on holiday in Malta."

No, the chairman DID NOT say he was on holiday in Malta, he talked about going to the Football League Conference taking place in Malta next week. So Bates MAY have been spotted with Gary Hooper outside Thorpe Arch.

Steven Taylor and Andy Carroll are 100% not leaving Newcastle this summer and Hughton has already opened Contract negotiations with them both and this is public knowledge. There is talk at the club of 5 or six signings and these could possibly include: Kris Boyd, Marlon Harewood, Phillippe Senderos, Steve Finnan and Ben Watson

04 Jun 2010 21:12:19
I live next to Peter Whittingham and he told me this morning that Nottingham Forest and Leicester City are both keen on signing him, but he said he would prefer a move to the Walkers Stadium to meet up with friend Andy King and plus he likes the area and size of the club and fanbase so it looks like Peter is heading off to Leicester!

If that was james007 then I don't know what is going on other than not only are you quoting me but more to the point you've disappointed a lot of other people especially Blair.

I stand by my comments that the club have been sold and that the last obstacle is tom hicks who by the way is getting weaker as each day passes.

Expect the club to be sold officially soon.

MR Broughton

Fellow reds hang on in there! I had a call with a mate today who has connections throughout the Middle East..He has told me today that QIA are the front runners for LFC and not only that but the club are at very very advanced stages to complete the sale.I must stress the club is not sold but very very close to it!

This not a hype post and this theory or that theory because Rafa has gone etc..this is a genuine post based on info I got today! I have no reason to believe that this info is duff and that it is more of the same crap that others have been posting!

Newcastle United Rumours.

No rumours as such but all this talk of newcastle having no money is absolute rubbish, not once has the club came out and said we are going to spend nothing at all.
The truth is an i know this through contacts at the club, is that there is a substantial amount of money available for transfers and also money from sales if any will also be used.
When the club said there was no plans for any capital outlay on players this did not mean there will be no transfer money.
People involved in the financial world will know that capital outlay is the purchase of an asset over a number of years.
Therefore there is money to spend on the right player if chris hughton wants them however the player will be payed for immediately rather than over a period of years and there will be no putting up future revenue as collateral to bring in big names as previously done.
So there you go, had to put all the rumours straight, there is money to spend but only sensibly and on the right players.

Celtic update:

As was announced earlier, Celtic were in talks with stuart baxter about a part time role as Director of football, parttime because that is all lenny will allow, however it was on a job share basis, with him stayin on to fulfill his contract with the Finnish Fa (next euro championships) , but THe finnish FA have made a statement saying they will not allow him to take a job share with Celtic.

This didn't come from any source or contact, I just read it on BBC sport

So this kinda puts a spanner in the works, so don't be surprised if Lenny gets the job without a director of football on board ( as i said on monday what would probably be the outcome of any subsequent contract talks with lenny)

INSIDER KNOWLEDGE
JOE COLE will sign for Everton, all these Man Utd, Arsenal and Man City fans can stop all the bickering know, the reason he is signing for Everton is that He is gauranteed First team football which is something none of the other clubs can, The wages i keep reading are absolutely laughable, £80k p/w £100k p/w, He hasnt had an offer anywhere near that, and the offer from Everton is not as much as any of those figures mentioned.

However his agent David Geiuss has been in touch with David Moyes and they have not agreed a deal but Joe is said to be "exited" at the prospect. Joe has spoken to Wayne Rooney about the club and Wayne has expressed his gratitude at the way they handled his early career (suprisingly).

QPR News

Warnock has been given the green light to spend, for the push next season, to the tune of 10 million plus, he'll do it as he always has.wisely.

keeper in, Paddy Kenny (done deal) (750k)

Defenders in, Wheater (4m) Macienne (loan with view to permanent move), Hill (750k)

Midfielders in, Ambrose (750k) Derry (500k), plus a bid to keep Tarrabt at the club for another season.

Forwards in, Boyd (3m) Hooper (4m) Sharp (2.5m),

these will all be subject to none of these forwards
recieving offers from the premiership of course.

of course he's not going to buy all of these players, but one from each group will probably do, with the players we already have.

come on you r's

mancienne would rather come to wolves than qpr

also wheater wouldn't go to a club worse than boro, if he did leave boro he would go to the premier league

Amond is currently the top scorer in the league with 9 goals in 15 games. Dundee United will also swoop for Gary McCabe, a left winger also from Sligo for combined fee of £100,000.

/// This is another fantasy dream't up on the bog!! Can you confirm your source about Billy Sharp? Please? As i know him and can tell you that he isn't back from his honeymoon till a week on sunday so how can he finalise his deal next week? I also think you will find that Burnley havn't even put in a bid for him, their target is Gary Hooper NOT Billy Sharp.
The whole Billy Sharp rumour has come from Sheff Utd trying to bump up his price. Billy Sharp is not and i repeat IS NOT interested in a move to burnley, he knows he would be competing with Iwelumo, Paterson ans possible 1 or 2 more for a starting place!

TRUST ME ON THIS ONE< BILLY SHAP WILL NOT MOVE TO BURNLEY> from the mighty mogul

You are another one of these people who claim to know players when they don't, a director at Burnley has informed me that Billy Sharp is interested in a move to Burnley as he will be reunited with former Scthorpe boss Brian Laws!!

to the viper (i think its you but if not i appologise)
Make your mind up will you, First of all Billy Sharp was finalising his deal next week (and if the other guy is his BEST mate he would have also corrected you that he doesn't get back whilst sunday) but now you have changed it to "he is interested in a move" NO wages have been put to Billy as i told you before no firm offer has been made by Burnley. How can burley make him an offer when he is away, surely he has to AGREE terms to "finalise" a deal, something which anyone with any knowledge cannot be done till a week on monday at the very earliest.
And to his BEST mate, you will know the mighty mogul then, the significance to Billy and the name and the party on saturday night. We probably spoke

"The most likeliest destination is Forest as Billy Davies agreed with Stuart Pearce that Charlie would be a great purchase. However, the acquisitions panel (them lot again!) said Charlie could only join if a player left.

The player leaving would be Earnshaw and it's well known that Cardiff City want him back, and that he would happily rejoin them as he loves the club and the fans. "

Well that's clearly bobbins. Forest have the smallest squad in the championship and need to acquire, not sell (as BD has been baning on about for the last 10 months). Given Doughty's pile of cash it is exceedingly unlikely that he needs to sell in order to buy and if he did it would not be his best striker.

Secondly, Cardiff have £0, as is very publicly known. They will not be buying anyone, least of all the Rob Earnshaw who gets booed everytime to he returns to cardiff.

HAH! More like what YOU are saying is bobbins pal!

Fact: Pearce did mention Forest to Charlie Austin

Fact: Austin has not said he wants out of Swindon NOR that he wants to stay.

Fact: Billy Davies and Rob Earnshaw don't get on – Billy would sell Rob back to Cardiff to fund a move for Austin IF Austin wanted to leave Swindon.

Fact: Since their takeover, Cardiff DO have money – why would they make an audacious bid for Craig Bellamy if they had nothing to fund it with?

Fact: On the last few occasions I've seen Forest in Cardiff (at Ninian Park and the new stadium) none of the Cardiff fans booed Earnie. He's still loved by them – him, Robin Friday and Graham Kavanagh were voted their top 3 cult heroes for gawds sake!

As for the Forest having the smallest squad size in the Championship, I think Scthorpe's is smaller than Forest's.

To the idiot that posted Mourinho had recommended Man United to Sneijder– what a load of rot. Why make up such rubbish. He plays for the current european champions and why do United and Real Madrid think they have a divine right to attach themselves to every half decent player. Sneijder for the record is world class and I, m not saying its out of the question he could join United. However, should Mourinho of made a premier league recommendation then I believe Chelsea would be that team. Truth is Real Madrid are now major rivals to english clubs due to the competitiveness of the champions league and I don't think any of europe's major clubs are in the business of doing each other favours. United would do Chelsea a huge touch though by taking Joe Cole. The fact that in every top match Anelka or Kalou get the nod over him speaks volumes, he's seen far better days.

Problem is that the top top players can only be afforded by one of these three and clubs will not drop their asking price so theres going to be a massive standoff – just like last summer and Jan when the number of transfers was really low.

ManU – little to no cash available – we all know this. Taggart was really happy splashing the cash whe he had it – there more £30M players gone to OT than anywhere else in the UK. Now all the money is paying for the Glasers to buy the club (LOL!). Taggart has said 2 signings max, one made–Hernandez. The other as everyone knows will be Joe Cole. With Rio crocked almost all the time another defender is needed so Taggarts 2 moves to 3. This will be a focus now and that's it. BTW – Rooney will do one more year at OT.

Arsenal – Cesc will go to Barca – around £45M. If not, he'll buy his contract out for less than this and go anyway. Just get the most you can.

Liverpool – no dosh at all + no prosect of any CL money at the end of the year_ a loss of £50M straight off. This may actually help the scousers as it devalues the club and therefore should make it easier to find a buyer. Key though is getting back into the top 4 and that's not going to happen for a LONG time. Contrary to the hope and desires of the scousers, there isn't a buyer lined up, the only reason the Waiter agreed to go (at substantially more than £3M but much less than 16is because for some reason Inter want him ?. Out – def Gerrard and maybe Torres. Where they go depend on how the do in the WC. Much as I would like Torres at Man City – he won't come, and that's a good thing for both parties. He's picking up more injuries due to phyisical nature of the league so any move will be overseas, probably Barca.

Now – my Man City. Mancini stays. He has a pot of cash but much less than it would have been if we'd been top 4. So we won't be bringing in loads of players – 3 or 4 tops. Either Ibrahimovic or Dzeko, Yaya (done deal), Boatang (done deal) and either Lahm or Chiellini. This will be enough to get us top 2 next season and the new world order starts.

Players linked with arsenal who i feel would be worth signing (not all of them, obviously)
GK:Sebastien Frey, Joe Hart.
DEF: Laurent Koscielny, Dmytro Chygrynskiy, Gregory van der Wiel, Per Mertesacker, Gary Cahill, Mamadou Sakho.
MID: Yoann Gourcuff, Ibrahim Afellay, Felipe Melo, Jean II Makoun, Joe Cole, Gai Assulin.
FORW: Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku.

We can survive without a keeper, giving Almunia a last chance til January before deciding whether to invest in a keeper.
in defence, upto 4 CB could leave (Campbell, Gallas, Silvestre, Senderos). Senderos need not be replaced by a new signing as he was on loan this season. The return of Djourou would be like a new signing, therefore 2 new CB plus the promotion of Bartley/Nordtveit would be adequate. my prefered 2 would be Koscielny(defo gona happen whether we like it or not) and EITHER Chygrynskiy if Cesc leaves OR Mertesacker.
we need another competent defensive midfielder, somebody who can complement Song and put it a tackle, ie a midfield hardman. Cue to Melo. If Cesc leaves we have to get Gourcuff, if he stays, no need.
upfront, no immediate signings necessary at CF due to the arrival of Chamakh. But on the wings we may need somebody. Cole and Assulin are available on frees, so we may consider them. Cole is being linked strongly, but i'll only believe it when its done and dusted. Lukaku would be an excellent signing for the future but i can't see it happening.
this would be an acceptable summer for Arsenal in the transfer market in my opinion:
IN: Mertesacker(15), Koscielny(6+Traore), Melo(10), Chamakh(free– done), Assulin(free).
OUT: Traore(p/e), Gallas Campbell Silvestre Senderos Gilbert(frees), Merida(free–done), Vela(6), Randall(1), Simpson(3).
BUT IF CESC LEAVES: Sign Chygrynskiy as part of the deal instead of Mertesacker, and sign Gourcuff(21.8)

BURNLEY NEWS

Billy Sharp will finalise his move to Burnley when he returns from his honeymoon, this however will not be until next week at the earliest.

George Boyd is also on holiday but as yet no discussions have taken place between the player himself and Burnley, Burnley have only been in talks with Barry Fry!

Nicky Maynard will not be moving as he commands a transfer fee too large for Burnley.

The only other deal being worked out is the possible transfer of Keiran Westwood, but Burnley are reluctant to pay the £4m Coventry want>

Birmingham are considering an offer for Palermo's 5ft 6in striker Fabrizio Miccoli.

Source: BBC Football

(Has anyone ever heard of him, and is he any good?)

Cheers.

I'm an Evertonian & would be very jealous if another Prem team signed Miccoli. He used to play for Juventus but things didn't work out too well for him there. He always had to play second fiddle to Del Piero. He is, in fact, a very similar player – small, but with great close control & a thunderous shot. He never gives less than 100% & I believe he would be ideally suited to the Prem. Even more ideally in an Everton shirt!!

So, come on Moysie, don't let big Eck nick him!!

Lol, thanks mate, he'll probably most definintiely to go to Everton, if he does, i hope he does well :)

I went to school with kris boyd and played in the same boys club team as kirk clubfoot. i heard through an old mate there both signing for kilmarnock to january then moving on for a transfer fee which would save boyds old team from going into administration as ther 11 million in debt. you heard it here first.

Liverpool news:

Liverpool's interest in Danny Wilson will continue, as KD was the man behind the move initially, so he will keep up the overtures in trying to get him, however he will not pay the 4m asking fee, don;t know exact figure but expect a max bid of 2.5m as he is available on a pre–contract in Jan,
THis is from a reliable source, obviously not KD himself as they have other pressing matters, it actually came form this side of the border, as Wilson's agent has been advised that negotiations with rfc will continue

They will not be buying anyone, least of all the Rob Earnshaw who gets booed everytime to he returns to cardiff.

what centre back will be replacing gallas?
copy and paste this then write what you have to write.

People who are linking Kjaer with Arsenal are living in a dream land, there is no way for something like that. Palermo would let him for at least 15m and Arsenal is bargaining over Koscielny which is 10m.

Mertesacker is also often mentioned but way to old for Arsene likes.

It's going to be Koscielny or some other yongster, probably valued up to 5m.

To the guy that asked is palermo striker miccoli any good in my opinion yes he is quiet good but not a player that would suit birmingham, he scored in some big matches though against inter roma and milan.when he was at benfica he scored against united to knock them out of the champions league

NUFC–
I have got a super duber reliable source about this– never posted anywhere about this before, found this rumours site–

Newcastle have NO money whatsoever to spend. Nothing. Chris Hughton is keeping quiet about this but hopes he can motivate his current crop of players. Loans will have to have all their wages payed for by the club loaning from, and my source didn't mention free transfers. CH might try to make some funds available by selling some players (Same source). (My other source, less reliable but who is definetely INVOLVED WITH THE CLUB) says Alan Smith, Leon Best, Shola Ameobi and Steven Taylor could be offered to clubs–

04 Jun 2010 18:48:11
Yaya has signed for City. They offered the best possible contract for him approx £180'000 a week, with promises of qualifying for the CL next season. Fee is £25 million, I would assume will be pumped into the Fabregas budget, or be re–invested in Mascherano

Martin O'Neill is ready to battle Arsenal in the £10million scramble to sign Hugo Rodallega.

Jamie Clapham + Stephen Calderwell– Free to Huddersfied
Sean Thornton – Free to Peterborough
Chris Roggot and Jay McCevely– Free to Bristol City
Jon Parkin, Liam Chilvers, Febian Brandy and Jon Macken– Free to Sheff Wed
Sam Hewson, Ian Harte– Free to Coventry
Anderson da Silva, Danny Butterfield, Shaun Derry, Jordon Rhodes (500k) and Frankie Simek – Free to Leicester

Any queries just ask me!!!

After brief speculation on this website about the managerial position at Liverpool FC, it is believed that Kenny Daglish will NOT be taking the position due to concerns about his health from the last time out, however he will coordinate the transfers until the new manager arrives (who he will also have a say in) which will not be Hodgson, O'neill, but could either be Eriksson, Hiddink (most unlikely) or someone from a league winner abroad (german league winners etc) but the manager WILL be announced AFTER the world cup
Transfers under Daglish will be minimal, as he believes the team is quite well equipped with the players present and also that the new man would bring others in as well, only about 6–8 mil being spent so he is looking to buy an immediate striker as well as premiership experience but i have no idea who. finally once a new manager does come in don't expect any takeovers unfortunately

I'm a Cardiff City fan and i work in a cafe near Thorpe Arch, i was just on my break when i looked down the road and saw a black range rover, nothing unusual i thought, the car stopped at the traffic lights by the cafe and i saw the driver on his phone.

I looked closer and my heart sank as i realised it was Jay Bothroyd, i got in my car and followed him until i had to stop at some traffic lights. I drove up towards Thorpe Arch until i was stopped at some gates.

So it looks like Bothroyd is signing for Leeds, I'd seen Luciano Becchio driving off looking upset earlier so i can only hope it's a part exchange deal

Jay's off to WBA, Chopra back to Newcastle and McCormack is going to Leeds.

Cardiff are signing Earnshaw, MAYBE Bellamy and Vela from Arsenal (LOAN) as replacements. If Bellamy doesn't come Steve Naismith will.

Aston Villa are shock candidates for a £5.8million bid for Sebastien Frey.

The Fiorentina goalkeeper suggested he would be willing to leave in order to freshen his career after four years at the club, and now it seems Villa may have stolen a march on their Premier League rivals.

04 Jun 2010 18:27:58
Aston Villa will make a £5million swoop for young England defender Nedum Onuoha.

The Manchester City centre–half has become frustrated with his limited opportunities at Eastlands, and now Villa boss Martin O'Neill is ready to offer him a lifeline.

04 Jun 2010 18:09:29
As everyone prob knows Spartak bid 10m euro for Mcgeady, I posted earlier on that if I was Celtic I would take that kinda money for him, it seems they didn't listen to me, expect all bids from any team for McGeady to be met with deaf ears, and the simple notice that he is not for sale, and we do not need to, nor are we in the business of selling our better players.
Although if silly money was offered i'm sure they'd take it, and when i say silly i mean 11m upwards

Good news for the celtic fans,

MAN UTD:

We already know that there will be just one more signing at O.T the list underneath shows who are being lined up, to be honest I personally would love to see any one of these guys play for United..

Potential targets:
–David Silva, Valencia
–Michael Bastos, Lyon
–Marek Hamsik, Napoli
–Bojan Krkic, Barcalona
–Wesley Sneijder, Inter Milan
–Stevan Jovetic, Fiorentina
–Joe Cole, Chelsea
–Yoann Gourcuff, Bordeaux

I think the 3 most likely to come to United are:

3. Marek Hamsik.. Fergie has expressed interest in him several times, he is a terrific young talent there is no doubt about that and that he could become of the best in the world if he joined United, Im sure that if United came calling he would happily move.

2. Wesley Sneijder.. Now that Mourinho has moved to Real Madrid, where Sneijder was often used out of position, he would love to move on to pastures new and start a fresh challenge at United, it is even understood Mourinho recommended United as a club to go to Sneijder.

1. It has to be David Silva.. Even if City want him he would ONLY move to Man Utd, he has stated that he has a 'soft spot' for the club, United have agreed a deal in principle for them to stand aside and allow Real Madrid to buy Angel Di Maria so that they can buy David Silva, his people have said "he does not want to be a part of Manchester City, he wants to join Manchester United"
Silva knows he will win far more trophies and play alongside world class players such as Vidic and Rooney as well as top Premiership class players in Nani and Valencia, If Silva joined I would see him in a more central role which he has proved he can play well in, with support to Rooney and Nani and Valencia either side of him.

LFC – Time for a change.. maybe, but things are not as bad as people make out. Hicks in his skysports news said The market will decide the value. The 6–800 mill qoute was his expectancy/ valuation, like RBS have theirs (400m) and 'the market' has its valuation. King kenny said just b4 end of Rafalution 'we will be on an upward curve from now'. Our main priority is to keep No9 & No8!. Last bit of info is.. Yaya to Lfc exch for Mach!. malmo..keep the faith Reds.. and i REALLY hope Mr Broughton on here is right!

Burnley have put a 1.7mil bid for James McArthur+Brian Easton on loan for the season 100% true

04 Jun 2010 17:58:01
Regardless of if Fab leaves or not Arsene is going to pick up Gourcuff because he is a quality player and will add more depth to an arsenal team that ALWAYS has at least 4–5 injuries a year that takes out top players that they need. They will use that reported buy–out clause and get him and even though Bordeux's chairman has said that he will fight it there is not much he can do. It will be a hairy situation but expect them to get their man. Koscielny will come in for around 8 mil and a couple of players will be loaned out to Lorient for a season. Its a win–win situation because Arsene will get his man and he will get his players some first team experience. Loans are a good thing people!! With Sol Campbell most likely going to Celtic, the wage bill will be alot lower and allow for alot of these moves to come in. Expect Rosicky to go to Germany for 7–9 mil and that will be a good thing bc he has never recovered from his injury. Also Eduardo might be in the same situation as Rosicky and could find himself moving as well for between 8–10 mil. Hopefully Arsenal picks up Joe Cole for free because they will have money in the wage bill for him. Arsene will go after 1–2 more defenders to ensure that he has plenty of cover, and Also he will look to get a keeper to complete the team. If all these things happen then Arsenal will finally have a complete and deep team. COME ON GUNNERS LETS WIN SOMETHING!!!

04 Jun 2010 17:56:10
McArthur said weeks ago he wanted to play his football AWAY from Scotland so that rules out a move to Rangers. Thomson is rumoured to have been offered double his wages to move to Middlesborough too. And I think Nugent would cost more than £1m. Therefore, In the Know isn't.

McArthur is a Rangers fan and said its the only scottish club he would play for. Thomson doesn't want to leave Rangers and Portsmouth have told Rangers that's how much Nugent will cost that or 2mill for Tommy Wilson

:::::::::: man utd :::::::::::

saf will sign david silva!!

both man utd and man city have made bids. man utd's was around £22 million and man citys around £30 million. valencia wanted to accept man citys bid but david silva has said he dosent want to play for man city, he has said he would much rather play in a man utd shirt. this is because man city are not in the champions league. expect him to sign afer the world cup.

also saf is looking for an (acm) he will make a bid for gourcuff before the world cup as hs price will go up after the wc.

fergie will also sign the atltico goal keeper asenjo for around £8 million

everyone thinks next summer will be a big 1 for man utd with neville scholes and giggs finishing but fergie is bringing the replacements in this season so they have a season to get use to the team and the pl.

saf is also trying his hardest to sign joe cole as he will play him just behind rooney like he does for england. if he does this means he will not have to spend big bucks on a striking partner for rooney

every1 think man utd dnt need another striker as they already have alot but even berba isn't good enough for the side. welbeck, mechena and hernandez are all very good futre prospects but there still 2 seasons away from constant first team football with berba and owen not up to standards we need to get rid of them and bring in either joe cole or sum 1 like benzema

Been on this site loads for the past week and can hardly remember any man u/arsenal rumours that DIDNT include j.cole. yes he's probably leaving chelsea, and yes he is probably going to one of those two teams but stop saying its a 100% done deal to whoever because no–one knows yet and we won't find out until after the world cup.
anyway as a chelsea fan, i would love for us to sign one/some of the following:
pato, aguero or torres (cant see torres coming but one of the other two i definitely can, especially as Buck has said we will sign 2, 3 players, with atleast one being a marquee signing)
quite a few rumours that lamps will be traded for kaka (wouldnt mind this, lamps is 30 + now and kaka is world class but i will be gutted if a.cole leaves – by far the best left back in the world)
and also, to all those rumours about kakuta going out on loan to plymouth/newcastle – ancelotti and the rest of the chelsea football club have already said that him, along with a few other youngsters are going to be in the 1st team a lot more this season so he will NOT be joining any team out on loan
possible outs for chelsea though:
ferriera
deco
j.cole
hillario
beletti
a.cole
bosingwa (would also be sad if he leaves)

Any wolves news? Some developments at Wolves include moves for
o Aaron Mokoena of Portsmouth/South Africa – reported in some papers today. Set to be signed after WC to add some steel to the midfield
o Jamie O'Hara – add some craft and a left footed option – a £3.5m bid was rejected, with West Ham also interested
o Michael Mancienne – McCarthy wants him on loan again, saw him developing nicely towards the end of the season, and he won't get in the Chelsea team.
o Steven Fletcher (CF) and Jelle Van Damme(LB) already signed.
McCarthy also looking for wingers
o Liam Lawrence – willing to outbid Celtic's £1.7m with a £2.5m bid
o Stephen Hunt – £3.5m wanted in winter, finally get him at £2m less than winter bid.

Charlton Athletic have already agreed a deal to sign Brett Pitman from Bournemouth after missing out on Chris Dagnall. Phil Parkinson is also said to be close to signing Dean Lewington from MK Dons. I have also heard the other player Charlton are set to sign is Alan McCormack from Southend. All these signings will funded from Nicky Bailey leaving, While Charlton will focus on Semedo signing a new deal, That is the only business Charlton Athletic will do this Summer.

QPR News

Warnock has been given the green light to spend, for the push next season, to the tune of 10 million plus, he'll do it as he always has..wisely.

keeper in, Paddy Kenny (done deal) (750k)

Defenders in, Wheater (4m) Macienne (loan with view to permanent move), Hill (750k)

Midfielders in, Ambrose (750k) Derry (500k), plus a bid to keep Tarrabt at the club for another season.

Forwards in, Boyd (3m) Hooper (4m) Sharp (2.5m),

these will all be subject to none of these forwards
recieving offers from the premiership of course.

of course he's not going to buy all of these players, but one from each group will probably do, with the players we already have.

come on you r's

'Does anyone have any info on transfers at southampton fc plus are we signing charlie austin or not'

No. Sorry, but why would Charlie want to move to a club in the same league when he's wanted by every Championship side plus half a dozen Premiership teams too?!

Charlie is going to ONE of:

Nottingham Forest (Stuart Pearce brokered the deal), Norwich City, Newcastle United, Celtic (was recommended to the club by Simon Ferry – currently a loanee at Swindon from Celtic), Preston, Fulham, Wigan or WBA.

The most likeliest destination is Forest as Billy Davies agreed with Stuart Pearce that Charlie would be a great purchase. However, the acquisitions panel (them lot again!) said Charlie could only join if a player left.

The player leaving would be Earnshaw and it's well known that Cardiff City want him back, and that he would happily rejoin them as he loves the club and the fans.

If Forest and Cardiff agree to a deal, which looks likely now that the new Malaysian owners of Cardiff are prepared to fund big money moves, then Earnshaw will join Cardiff and Austin will join Forest.

Either Matt Tubbs or Poole's Steve Smith will fill the vacant strikers berth at Swindon, with Lucas Jutkiewicz possibly joining from Everton. However, Swindon could go for both Tubbs and Smith as they are both good goalscorers and available for very little. Jamie Hammond of Cheltenham Saracens could also be a target for Swindon.

Swindon are also close to agreeing deals for ex–Cardiff City defender Gabor Gyepes and a deal for Liverpool goalkeeper Martin Hansen.

Prior to going on his holiday Dave Jones left a list of players with the powers that be at CCS to start the process of getting these players in.

The player at the top of his list is none other than Craig Bellamy, even though the papers have been running with this story for a while, I have remained a spectator until my contacts at the club could give me the truth on it's validity. This is the latest information and one that comes directly from our club.

Despite Craig Bellamy being the type of character Dave Jones does not normally go for in the dressing room, he is a very good friend of Dave Jones' and therefore DJ believes that he could handle Bellamy's temprament.

Here are the facts : Cardiff City officials have spoken with Man City and Craig Bellamy.

Craig Bellamy has said that he wants to come to Cardiff City this coming season !

Negotiations have already taken place between Man City and Cardiff City regarding a season long loan to which both clubs are happy to see happen !

Cardiff City are prepared to pay 20% of Bellamy's wages, which amounts to £18,000 per week but Man City are simply not prepared to let Bellamy go on those terms.

It is now down to a couple of issues – either Cardiff City pay more of Bellamy's wage or Bellamy has a fall out with Man City and somehow has his contract ended.

The view is that the move is unlikely to happen now but the positive news is that Cardiff City are showing real ambition and also that Man City are prepared to let Bellamy come on loan ( if the terms are right ) and that Bellamy wants to come now.

I really hope that I will be informing you of his signing but truthfully I can't see it happening as the two clubs are so far apart in terms of the agreement.

But fair play to City and for me this is a statement of their intent.

Michael Bradley, son of US coach Bob, is considering a move to the Premiership.

Randy Lerner is a big fan of Bradley, and also is good friends with his father, and he has mentioned Michael to boss Martin O'Neil.

O'Neil has agreed to monitor Bradley Jnr. during the World Cup and if he impresses he will be asked to join Villa on trial with the view to a permanent move.

This would mean that fringe players Isaiah Osbourne and Moustapha Salifou would be moved on (to Cardiff and Leeds respectively).

Other Villa players moving on:

Elliott Parrish – Solihull
Eric Lichaj – Burton
Shane Lowry – Swindon
Barry Bannan – Burnley
Nathan Baker – Stevenage
Chris Herd – Bradford
Jonathan Hogg – Newport County

Hartlepool United will re–sign Australian International Joel Porter from Gold Coast United. Porter originally left Hartlepool at the end of last season, to go back to his home land in a bid to secure a World Cup spot. This unfortunately did not happen and he is now set to re–sign for Hartlepool United.

Chris Turner is advanced talks with 2 other players.

Left Back Alan Sheenan, after he was told his services are no longer needed at Elland Road.

Centre Midfield Veteran midfielder Robbie Savage is being lined up as a replacement for Ritchie Jones. In a bid lure Savage to Victoria Park, he will be offered the option of a coaching role in his second season and will become Club Captain for the 2010/11 season.

To my fellow United fans:–

1. Why do you want di maria when we have nani doing an excellent job on the left wing ? He may be right footed but he is traditionally a left winger.

2. Please people stop linking meaningless wingers like navas to United as antonio valencia is streets ahead of them in terms of his crossing, power and defensive awareness and also premier league experience and also apart from rooney valencia fletcher and evra have been United's most consistent performers this season. And please do not say put nani on the right and di maria etc. on the left, our current winger situation is very good and the only wingers which may come in are joe cole (who is on a free, has experience and can play both wings and support striker), same with silva( who plays well as playmaker). So valencia on the right and nani on the left will be how we will start the games.

3. We do not need more strikers. We have enough to be competitive, and if rooney gets injured our best option would be to play either hernandez or owen with berbatov with a playmaker playing behind them.We will bring in a striker only if owen leaves or SAF is not impressed with berbatov's linkup play in the pre season and first one or two games.

4. The only players SAF will look at are an attacking midfielder who can also play on either wing if anybody gets injured.and if possible joe cole. Our defensive mid situation is fine with fletcher and hargreaves and carrick too can play that role. Also anderson will be back from injury and fitter than ever as he is concentrating on becoming more fit (that is what SAF wants from him).

5. We will not sign any more defenders as we have cover in all positions and with hargreaves coming back who can play at either full back and the addition of smalling we are better than ever.

6. We will see huge transfer activity next summer when scholes, giggs, neville will retire. They all will be given coaching jobs and it is being rumoured that David Beckham will be given some kind of a club ambassador role to heap in huge sponsorships.

7. Next season will be big for gibson, obertan, wellbeck evans and macheda and we will see them play more regularly and given more time when coming on as subs.

8. Also expect the 4–3–3 to deployed in europe and in big away matches and the 4–4–2 in home matches and against smaller teams.

Outs:

William Gallas – Free
Mikael Silvestre – Free
Philippe Senderos – Free

Typical Wenger – Small spending with one big name gone. The only reason why some of these are being done after the WC is becuse Joe Cole and David James are Free, Schwarzer is 37 so his price tag won't get inflated, and no one else is going to WC.

Barca simply won't pay £45M +, they want to buy Torres as well and they don't rate Fabregas that high. They rate him at £30M, and will only go up to £35M. Then they have to add players and we don't want any of their players. I thought Cesc would be insulted that Milner is the valued the same as him, and Dzeko is more than him!

04 Jun 2010 15:02:12
Just on sky sports – Spartak bid 10m euro/8.3 m for Celtic's Mcgeady, It that's true, Celtic will definetley sell him, he's a great player, but i fear he reached his potential with us, I hope he doesn't go, but at that money we should be biting their hand off, I was expecting a bid coming in from Birmingham region 5.5/6m and that would have been turned down, but 8.3m is too good a deal for us.

And about the guy who said Van Gaal was going to Munich, if he now turns round and says oh no it was Berlin they were flying to, well that's over a 500k/315 mile drive, don't you think they would just fly from London or Birmingham in to Munich direct??

In the 2009–10 campaign English clubs including West Bromwich Albion, Sheffield United and Sunderland FC have shown an interest in McArthur. From 5 April, McArthur will go on a three day visit to Premier League Club Wigan Athletic with a view to a permanent £2million summer transfer. His former Hamilton team–mate James McCarthy transferred there at the beginning of the 2009–2010 season. Leeds United have reportedly tabled a £1million bid and are favourites to land the talented scotsman. [3]

This isn't me being like the rest of the Liverpool 'fans' on this website. This is just what I've heard via the Liverpool website and then confirmed by my friends who are actively involved in the Spirit of Shankly group.

Yesterday, a member of the SoS group leaked Christian Purslow's number to some of the group and he was bombarded with calls and anger regarding the Ownership and sadness over the departure of Rafa.

Because I don't take part in SoS, nor would I have phoned the number, I myself cannot confirm this but it is reported that Purslow has claimed that Liverpool have signed Yaya Toure. Only time will tell but this was a strong rumour last summer so it could be possible.

Loving some of the outrageous rumours on this site guys keep it up.

Everyone on here has such a short memory Arsenal do not have the funds to get Joe Cole do not be ridiculous. Does noone remember the Sol Cambell deal. He was on £120,000 per week. YES he was but this did not break Arsenals wage structure because he was paid a basic salary of £80 grand per week and then paid £40 grand a week as a signing on bonus. The signing on bonus was not paid in a lump sum instead it was paid weekly for the duration of the contract.

JOE COLE will be signing for the gooners he has not even entered discussions with CITY UTD or Liverpool because he will not move north simple as that.

Yoann Miguel Gourcuff will not sign for this very reason Nasri will play in the middle with Fabregas who will stay one last year and cole will play out wide.

I'm not a Liverpool (although I do like them) or Villa fan, so to be honest I couldn't say what rumours are true or not, but I'm really interested in the fact that Martin O'neill's name is being banded about for the Liverpool job, I always thought he was being primed for the UTD job, although, personally, I think he would do a good job at Anfield.

So can anyone actually tell me if there is any validity to the rumours? hey and i'd like to hear your opinions on MON for Anfield !"

Fortunately, MON is not under serious consideration for the position – and all I can say is thank goodness for that! He would make Rafa look like an absolute genius.

Just seen Kenny D and Purslow in John Lennon airport getting a flight to munich, van gaal anyone?

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Why do people talk utter nonsense, We all know this is a rumour/banter site, so when it comes to players, we band around who we'd like to see at the club etc etc, and they are usually realistic

But this comment above is just complete false, so Reds fans don't get your hopes up.

Reason I know – I'm a Travel Coordinator (that's how I know my contact/source) and I can tell you right now that there is no flights from Liverpool Lennon to Munich.
I don't like knocking anyone's rumours, but this one was just too false to be true.

Arsenal are going to try to get Hazard, but if we fail there we will get Assulin (the nxt Messi) on a free as he will sign on a free.
Joun II should sign for Arsenal where he will get first team football unlike at Lyon!!
I think and hope we get Gourcuff as he looks great he has broken into the french team so he is good, we should try and get him even if Fabregas goes.
Just a quick question why is every1 saying that Arshavin is leaving I think he will stay and I think he wants to win stuff wiv us and he will do that nxt season!!!!

While Liverpool are looking for a new manager the sales of Albert Riera and Yossi Benayoun are still going ahead as they loook to build funds for the new manager, I have heard Yaya Toure is going to sign for Chelsea which will pave the way for Michael Essien to move to the Bernabau but he will only move if Jose Mourinho fails to secure Daniele de Rossi.

Now that Trevor Hemmings is seemingly going to take control of PNE, stage 2 of his plan will now be put into action, serious investment will be found in long term friend and business associate JP Mcmanus, together the pair will take PNE to the promised land and beyond, exciting times ahead for PNE fans!!

I have it on very good terms that Robbie Blake has agreed to sign, the stumbling block is PNE currently have a transfer embargo over them, as soon as its lifted expect the move to be announced 2 YEAR DEAL!

G.D.E, you can get as excited as ya want about Grant McCann joining, but he signed for Peterborogh United on 24 May! Will take a good offer for Boyd though..anything to get rid! Just remeber he's in Vegas right now so might not be popping into PNE for a week or two!

LFC have until the end of the World Cup to hire a manager and make signings that will convince Torres & Gerrard to stay for at least one more season. Neither have decided to leave..yet; although both have had contact from several leading English and European clubs. One player who is gone already is Mascherano. He has offers from 5 clubs involved in next season's Champs League. He won't be at Liverpool next season.

"Nicky maynard & George Boyd both having medicals at burnley today after both players clubs accepted bids from burnley yesterday and billy sharp has already passed a medical and will also sign today"

Utter rubbish, Nicky is in Spain on holiday, he sent me a text from there about 10 minutes ago. He's going nowhere and certainly not to another championship club with no more chance of getting promoted than Bristol City. His words, not mine.

Have to agree with the above, as like Nicky, George Boyd is also on holidayin Las Vegas!

To all who think Joe Cole is worth 90k a week, you are mad!! Cant shoot, doesn't score, barely assists any goals scored and has a few pretty tricks up his sleeve but honestly, he's Piennar at Everton is more attractive proposition.

Am hearing rumours on the grapevine re EFC targets:–

Ben Arfa (£9m)
Moutinho (£14m due to poor season and dropped from w/c squad)
Sadly, i hear Bellamys name echoing louder and louder (£7/8m)
Ledley
Petrov

Out
Vaughen
Yobo
Anichebe

From what i gatherm we already have a number of centre midfielders (ball winners) and historically, have no options on the flanks. I see this year, wingers are the way forward.

P.S. don't rule out Manny fernandes for a third stint before a permanent move .. just what i am hearing

Gary Hooper could possibly be joining PNE

My source..Paul Hayes who signed for Preston on a Bosman from Scunny, he said in an interview on the official Preston Site Video Player when he signed for PNE

Possible Preston Ins

John Rooney
Craig Morgan
George Boyd

John Rooney played for PNE near the end of the season in a behind closed doors friendly against Wrexham scoring twice in 45 minutes, he is on a free but compensation must be payed to Macclesfield as he is only 19

Craig Morgan currently of Peterborough Darren Ferguson used to manage him and is believed to want him at Preston to work alongside Sean Saint Ledger

George Boyd–Preston enquired in January but were quoted 5million for the talented playmaker, with Petereborough being relegated and PNE's takeover gathering steam Trevor Hemmings know owning 51% of PNE with the rest coming to him expect renewed interest from the Lilywhites. Details or PNE enquiring for Boyd in January came directly from Darren Ferguson in a fans conference shortly after January

JOE COLE TO MAN UTD AFTER WORLD CUP.

David gill and david Geiss meeting in the golden tulip hotel in manchester now 13.45pm to sort coles signing. Not expected to be announced untill after the world cup due to fabios arrangement with premiership managers regarding transfers.
Ends a long chase for fergie and may put to bed the stupid rumours of 30/40 million pound transfers to united.
Vidic is still subject to a post world cup move and news from comming back to us at carrington that rio is injured again..
Another off subject note, gary neville is still insisting on glasgow rangers comming for his testimonial, celtic were aproached but have too many commitments, what is neville thinking of the way rangers fans behaved in manchester (apart from a large travelling support to fill his coffers)

Arsenal rumours:

Yoann Gourcuff
mentioned a lot lately, it's likely for him to come if Fabregas sign for barcelona.

Laurent Koscielny
prime target at the moment, negotiations are on. There is only one catch: Lorient's president Loic Fery. Lorient haven't sold many big names in club history so they really want to make it out of this one. It is said that Arsenal was ready to pay 10 millions, but Loic Fery wasn't pleased enough with offer. We'll just have to wait and see what will happen. Koscielny can play centre–back and right full–back.

Micah Richards
it's well known he wouldn't refuse move to London, Arsenal and Tottenham are both in for the player. My opinion is that if he does become a Gunner, Sagna would leave. Micah is an all–rounder, he's good by the line as he is in the box. If Arsene planned him for centre–back why would he need Koscielny for and otherwise?

Loic Remy
since Marouane already made agreement, why would Arsenal need another offensive player (Bendtner, Eduardo, Arshavin, Van Persie, Wellington, maybe somedy from youth team.. only if someone would leave. Club can't splash around with money)

David James
a reasonable transfer, everybody knows Arsene wasn't happy with Almunia last season and Fabianski didn't pass the test to become first team member.
David is free agent wich makes him quite available, but rumour has it that Wenger will give Almunia one more chance.

Joe Cole
yeah he likes London, but it really bugs me after he gave statement for news how he would be excited to continue his career in Man Utd because of Alex Ferguson. I really don't believe that he would say such a thing just to bargain over his wage.

Dmytro Chygrynskyi
only if Cesc goes to barca, he colud go opposite way. Since Gallas is leaving club for sure a replacement is needed (if Cesc can be well cashed in money as well).

Neven Subotic
very unlikely, he has long contract with Dortmund and his price tag is too high for Arsenal if he's not only player to buy this summer (you could buy Koscielny two times for this man)

Stefan Savic
Wenger is looking at him one or two years already, he sees potential in the boy and when Arsene follows some player he usually ends up in Arsenal (or at least in some other premier league club). Transfer would be around one million, so it makes sense for transfer to go through. There is only question if this lad is ready for serious football (he does play for BSK Borca, have you ever heard of it !?).

Lamine Kone
quite new name in story, made some caps in french youth squad (was impressive in Toulon), if Koscielny deal fails this guy could be the next big news.

Yaya Toure
He would prefer Man City over Arsenal, we all know why (Kolo Toure). He has only one problem: he is not the one to decide! If Fabregas goes to barca Yaya must be included in the deal. Barcelona was struggling to gather money for the initial bid and if Arsenal want more, player(s) must be included. I think Chygrynskyi added by himself wouldn't take the bid high enough.

Agbonlahor, Green and the rest of the crew are just not worth of discussion.

Liverpool rumour:

Possibility of Gus Hiddink joining LFC after the WC on a one year contract (with option to extend), whilst still retaining his post with the Turkish national team – subject to approval by the Turkish FA. (He is the manager credited with reviving Chelsea whilst simultaneously managing the Russia team). This gives prospective new owners a more stable club with an accomplished manager whose contract they will have the option to renew or not depending on results. (Contract extension would obviously involve quitting the Turkey post). Kenny and Sammy will oversee players sales and purchases with Purslow handling the contracts and purse strings. Broughton will oversee sale of club within 6 months.

To the guy that said : "Nottingham forest

anyone have any nottingham forest roumers ins/outs ?"

Forest ins: Peter Whittingham (deal will be complete by the end of this week in the region of 1.5–2.5 million. Cardiff are willing to let him go so it is now up to us to sort out the right wages for him)

Fabio de silva (on loan for the season from man utd, we are trying to meet the demands for his wages to be paid at least by 50%)

Patrick van aanholt (also on loan for a year)

Either Jay bothbroyd or James Beattie (both allowed to leave their clubs for the right price)

most likely is the signing of Peter Whittingham, about 99% chance. Also, we are genuinely trying to get fabio de silva on loan. The others are just plain rumours that i have heard however, just those two would sort out our LB problem and whittingham would be a bonus. Billy said he wanted 2, 3 or 4 signings so expect these at least 2 of these names to be signed.

My source: I am best friends with the managing directors son. Whittingham and fabio 100% fact.

My friend works for the Real Madrid website and apparently all the talk of Chelsea players Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard joining Mourinho at the Bernabeu is just a smokescreen. Mourinho is really interested in John Obi Mikel. He sees him as someone who can develop into a box to box midfielder. Expect to see a bid of €18m or €10m with Gago or Garay included. If not possible, expect a bid for Jermaine Jenas who Mourinho was tracking whilst at Inter Milan.

–––––––MANCHESTER UTD–––––––––

SAF to make £22million + anderson bid for gourcuff before WC as he knows his price will shoot up after the WC. Arsenal won't sign him as fabregas isn't leaving and fergie knows he needs to strenghten his mid field. also expect him to sign Asenjo to replace Van der sar next season. and a left footed winger – david silva/di maria/ (jesus navas –who is right footed but very good with left foot aswell) id expect navas or silva to sign as di maria is very over priced when hes not as good as the other 2. also expect joe cole to come in as fergie will offer highest wages so he then dosent need to spend money on a striker as joe will play just behind rooney like he does for england.

John Barnes whilst discussing England's prospects on Skysports was asked about Liverpool and hinted that King Kenny may get the job on a full time basis.

Barnes also mentioned his former club Tranmere who narrowly avoided relegation last year, he felt they'd look to strenghten with Andy Hughes from Leeds coming, as well as Mark James from the Canaries.

ARSENAL NEWS:
First of all a quick pointer to the fan who posted a squad list putting Chamakh down as an attacking right midfielder/forward. Clearly you haven't even seen Chamakh play! He is a central striker – not a wide man. Chamakh's strengths are his aerial presence (desperately needed) and instinctive, clinical finishing (like Eduardo was before the injury). Wenger has not signed him to play him as a wide man – Arshavin, Nasri, Walcott and Eboue will fill these roles. Signing Chamakh means that Wenger now has the option to change the system – he can go with RVP and MC with Arshavin in the hole or can stick to the more familiar 4–3–3 with two flanking forwards and a central striker from RVP/MC/NB.

Fabregas: It has now become clear to Barcelona that Arsenal are not willing to move on their valuation (£70m). Only Gai Assulin would be considered as part of the deal – Wenger is not interested in any others. Yaya Toure will be confirmed as a Man City player shortly ruling him out of any potential deal. Barcelona simply cannot afford to pay Arsenal's asking price – they are already looking to offload Zlatan Ibrahimovic so they can fund a move for Fernando Torres. Ibrahimovic is likely to move to Real now that Mourinho is manager with Kaka heading to Chelsea. Unless more players are sold, Barcelona will have to wait another year at least until they can finance a move. Arsenal do not need or want to sell their captain.

Transfer Targets:
Sol Campbell may well decide to opt for Celtic knowing that he would be guaranteed first team football. He must now decide whether he wants to play in a pitiful league under an inexperienced manager or stay on as a reserve and coach the promising young defenders at Arsenal.
Providing Fabregas is not sold, expect a transfer budget of around £40m which will fund moves for a GK, 2 CB's and a CDM. Bacary Sagna will leave for Inter (£14m) with Maicon moving to Real. In his place will come Gregory Van Der Wiel (£8m) from Ajax.
Eduardo will be loaned to Lyon as part of the deal to bring Jeremy Toulalan to the Emirates. A goalkeeper will be one from Frey/Lloris/Schwarzer. Joe Hart will not be sold by Man City. He will start as No.1 next season until Given recovers from injury. Buffon would be too costly and is likely to remain at Juventus. CB's are likely to be Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny. Gary Cahill could come in should a deal for either of these two fail to materialise.

Real Arsenal Rumours:

I have been reading the site daily for around 2 weeks and from the posts form other people and things I have heard ill put the ones that I think could really happen.

Sorenson £8mill (50/50) or D James £Free (75%)

Upson £5–6mill, Cahill £8mill, Jagielka £8mill+
(deff 1x DEF but we need 2)

N'zogbia £?, Ireland £?, J Cole £Free (50/50 us or Man U), De Jong £?.

Notice im picking PL players, I think we may get players from over seas but Wenger will try PL first.

Obviously not all of these, but we will sign 4 more players this window.

NORWICH NEWS

I am good friends with someone who knows Ian Culverhouse quite well and he told me that Norwich have made bids for David Fox from Col U and Nicky Bailey from Charlton. He also said that the delay in Forster signing is that Lambert is looking at signing him on a permanent basis but is not sure he can afford it. I was also told Lambert is after a right back and right midfielder and some names mentioned were Kevin Amankwaah from Swindon, Danny Green from Dagenham and Redbridge, Albert Adomah from Barnet and Sam Hutchinson from Chelsea.

The problem is, from reading celtic fans posts on here, they will probably belive it as they seem to live in dreamworld Real rumours – From a REAL league:

Gonzalo Higuain from R.Madrid to Chelsea with Lampard going other way. They will also sign Steve Gerrard from Liverpool as he is keen to play under Mourinho.

Man Utd to get Joe Cole and also Edin Hazard but I believe Arsenal will put in a big bid for the young belgian aswell. Joun II Moukon to Arsenal also.

Adam and holloway have come out in local press and said he is DEFINATELY at blackpool for the first season in prem.

He says, he would of definately gone had pool not got promoted, as he wants to play in and is good enough from prem.

But guess what?? Blackpool went up, so he is having at least one season with the team he now loves in, the big time.

As I correctly told yesterday, there would be a Press Conference at Carrow Road to announce a new signing. This was David Fox from Colchester. This will spell the end for Owain Tudur–Jones and either Matt Gill or Darel Russell, depending on whether Russell decides to move on. Solomon Taiwo's deal has been put on hold after he failed a medical, due to recent knee surgery. Lambert is reasonably happy with his midfield now and has made a goalkeeper and striker his priority. Fraser Forster is the primary target and City are locked in negotiations with Newcastle to bring him back to Carrow Road. City are exploring the realms of a permenant deal before making a loan approach. Should Forster not join, it's likely that Declan Rudd will be number one next season. A back–up target for Lambert is Owain Fon Williams from Stockport County. Up–front, targets include Nile Ranger, Kris Boyd and Gary Hooper. Boyd is the preferred option, with Ewan Chester's influence key in any potential deal. I'll keep you posted for more press conferences in the near future. Late next week seems the likely time.

04 Jun 2010 12:29:15
Ok so people still think fabregas will be leaving arsenal for over £50m reality check, this just aint happening unless alisher usmanov send his men round to extort them. (thats a joke btw).
The situation will be sold after the WC with a deal more than likely involving 35m + a player wether arsenal like it or not.
I can't see Gourcuff signing unless a serious injury occurs to nasri.
Ive heard that there could be a deal in place with lyon involving cash + eduardo for toulalan.
Koscielny is the no1 target at cb, with a possible 2nd being brought in with the losses os senderos, silvestre and possibly campbell.
Joe cole would be a great signing but due to our wage structure, can we offer him the kind of wages that united and city can??
Wellington silva will be confirmed as an arsenal player in January so apart from Chamakh no other striker will be brought in.
Finally, we could be taking Gai Assulin off Barcelona. Barca take one player off us, we quite hapily take one of there brightest prospects whos been quoted as the new messi by guardiola himself.

Some Celtic news:

Don't know how credible this is, I got an email about it in Tue, and just ignored it, as I thought it was a load of nonsense, but it's turned up in one of todays papers.

The delay in Lenny being appointed the job, as we all know, is the subject of a mentor/director of football.
Well it looks like Finland coach Stuart Baxter is the one that "the Board" want to appoint, and the delay has been thrashing out his exact role in regards to Lenny.
It is expected he will take it on a Part time role, keeping his job as coach of the Finland team.

Ignore all the talk of Lenny not getting the job, the job is his.

Campbell WILL be signing as and when Lenny is officially appointed ( expect that later today/monday latest)

Bullard ( who i was told WON'T be signing) could well be signing now, but only on a pay as you play. Hence that's why Celtic will now agree to the deal.

Lawrence WILL sign, expect 1.7m plus appearance money.

Speroni will NOT be signing, that's just paper talk, Zaluska and Cervi are there, and a young Japanese goalkeeper is being looked at. (not happy about that)

And contrary to chat on here last night, Martin Petrov did NOT fly in to Glasgow last, and be whisked away by Ibrox staff.

This all comes from a solid source.

P.s I also hear that Joe Cole is signing for celtic for 110k a week, why not? he seems to be signing for every other club according to chat on here :)

Liverpool FC to appoint Martin O'neill before the world cup. O'neill knows Villa will never be a Champions League team and he is certain he deserves a shot a managing a top club in Europe. He will only get about 10–15 mil but will also get to reinvest the money he makes from sales. Notables leaving will be Riera 7m, Skrtel 10m, N'Gog 4m, Babel 8m. That gives O'neill about 45m all up to strengthen the squad. Expect him to bring in Young and Agbonglahor from Villa and Gary Cahill from Bolton. YNWA

Manuel Pelligrini's agent last week claimed to have offers to take over clubs in England and Italy. The two offers were from Liverpool and Inter. With Rafa seemingly on his way to Inter – it seems Liverpool is his last option. In my view he would be a good appointment, as he has proved he is able to work to a budget at Villarreal, and played some very attractive football.
Until a new manager is appointed, which may not happen until a new owner found, Kenny Dalglish and Sammy Lee are in charge of team affairs. They are in agreement over 2 things. Firstly that Javier Mascherano wants to leave, and second that Joe Cole can spark the team back to life and must be signed.
o Mascherano is wanted by Inter, Barca and Real Madrid and Liverpool are looking to get at least £35m for the player. Kenny would like to sign Scott Parker as a replacement, but if no–one signed, Gerrard, Aquilani, Lucas and Jonjo Shelvey will be used in central midfield.
o Joe Cole will be offered a 4 year, £90,000 p/w contract, with bonuses based on performance which will total the £110,000 p/w he is demanding. How can Liverpool afford that? Well all the money from the Mascherano deal would be used to fund this contract.
o This will be the only major transfer dealings unless more players are sold. The protracted transfer of Danny Wilson is almost complete for a deal for an initial £2.5m which will rise to £4.5m after other clauses.
o King Kenny is fairly happy with the squad at present – and feels the squad only needs 2–3 players for Liverpool will meet the minimum top 4 expectations

The Board made the decision to sack Rafa in March of this year. In April the new manager was identified and he has already conducted a review of the squad and has told the board who his targets are. He will not however be formally appointed until July. The criteria which the board had for choosing a new manager was . 1 That his CV includes winning the league in either Spain, Italy or England. 2. That he has a won European competition; 3. That he has a good knowledge of English Football and can therefore hit the ground running; and 4. He must be available without the club needing to pay his current employers a multi million pound payment to acquire his services. Only one ma ticks all these boxes. It's the only manager to win a league and cup double in 3 different European leagues. The new manager will be none other than Sven Goran Erickson. His will be formally confirmed once he is finished with the Ivory Cost in the World Cup. At 33/1 full your boots while you can at the bookies.

How can certain people still be so sure that Angel Di Maria will be signing for Real Madrid??

As far as I'm aware he is a player linked to Madrid, amongst many other top European clubs, but prior to Jose Mourinho being appointed manager. I hadn't heard of Inter being one of the clubs interested in Di Maria and this surely suggests that Mourinho wasn't either (correct me if I'm wrong) and therefore isn't now.

Will such a signing still go ahead given that Mourinho is likely to demand total control of transfers, that he will undoubtedly have identified his own targets and that it is doubtful he had even identified Di Maria as a likely targetin the first place (especially given the pricetag that is being quoted)!

Despite desperate, fabricated rumours from those from across the road, Lee Grant is in no way, shape or form leaving Wednesday for United. Why would he!?! If he turned down Premiership teams, something tells me he won't be moving to those across the lane – a team he is well–known to dislike.

On the Wednesday signings front.. don't expect anything before about August 1st! Haha. Wednesday are still monitoring Ritchie Jones, Chris Sedgwick, OJ Koroma, George Friend, Gary Doherty, Ben Clark, Clinton Morrison, Tony Capaldi, possibly Warren Feeney, Jay McEveley and Gary Teale.

Wednesday also want Eddie Nolan from Preston, Pabs Counago from Ipswich, Shaun Harrad and Greg Pearson from Burton Albion, possibly Adam le Fondre from Rotherham, possibly Steve Howard, Antony Sweeney from Hartlepool, Tom Craddock from Luton Town and Charlie Griffin from Stevenage.

Of course we won't get all of the above..

I personally think we'll get..

Ritchie Jones – Free agent.
Chris Sedgwick – Free agent.
Clinton Morrison – Free agent.
Ben Clark – Free agent.
Eddie Nolan – Preston North End.
Pablo Counago – Ipswich Town.
Shaun Harrad – Burton Albion.
Tom Craddock – Luton Town.

That makes up Irvine's desired 8 new signings.. Any signings that require a transfer fee I think will come from the sale of Marcus Tudgay, which we should fetch £1,000,000 minimum.

We are Wednesday. Forward, together.
C'MON THE OWLS! :)

"Man United have recieved reassurance from Jose Mourinho that if they need to they will recieve Benzema on loan."

I don't think that Real Madrid have the luxury of loaning out a player worth perhaps £20M to £25M. If Mourinho is going to want to do anything significant in the transfer market he will need to recoup funds for what are likely to be fringe players such as Benzema.

My source tells me that Manchester United will attempt to wrap up the deal for the mystery player in the first week of the WC. Man United have recieved reassurance from Jose Mourinho that if they need to they will recieve Benzema on loan. J.Cole is a likely candidate as he looks to rekindle the form that saw him become one of the top talents in sport. Chelsea will attempt to take in Maroaune Fellaini after failing with their pursuit for Rodwell. Arsenal will look at Steven Pienaar as a replacement for Andrei Arshavin (if they don't land Joe Cole). My source in Madrid says that Mourinho would want to keep Guti and sell Mamadou Diarra. Chelsea will explore the option of bringing in Toni Kroos meanwhile Liverpool hope to have their new manager unveiled before the World Cup, my source claims that the takeover news is still quiet but can inform me if something happens.(I don't think that I can post everytime I have news because I don't post daily)

LFC to sign a big asian star i don't know who but it will bring in money as huge market in asia whoever the manager is

To clarify, if anyone is wondering. This asian star is an under 18 player from Thailand. There has been a TV competition in Thailand from the same producers of Britains Got Talent and all that crap to find Thailands next rising football star. The winner of the comp gets a 12 month contract with LFCs youth academy. True, the exploit is being used to generate funds in Thailand for LFC but I couldn't expect much to result from it or the player.

Any Leeds rumours today!!

04 Jun 2010 09:11:04
I believe that Paul Green is on his way to Blackpool. Hollaway has identified him as the type of player that can help Blackpool survive in the premier league. Sean St Ledger is also on his wish list. Hollaway sees St Ledger and Kenneth as partnership at centre half for the comimg season

04 Jun 2010 08:51:24
Man United set to sign Stevan Jovetic for about £20 million pounds from Fiorantina.

04 Jun 2010 09:02:39
To the guy that says Hibs are away to sign Leigh Griffiths from Dundee think again mate, for one hes worth 800,000 not 350,000 and I no this for definite as their was an official bid rejected for him by Leeds United last season, and also we are in no position to sell unlike most SPL clubs!!

04 Jun 2010 09:09:51
West Ham United are to offer Timo Hildebrand a 1 year contract to boost their goalkeeping ranks. West Ham haven't had a recognisable understudy to Rob Green since Jan Lastuvka left the club, with youth and reserve team goalkeepers filling the bench. It is expected Hildebrand will sign a £33,000 a week contract for 1 year with the option of a further year should he impress

04 Jun 2010 08:01:03
I have a friend who works at parkhead in the media side of things and there are deep concerns just now as apparently with the situation of the manager not being resolved only 25k season tickets have been sold to date also the word here is that joe ledley has agreed to sign but only if lenny is confirmed as manager that also applies to sol cambell but more interesting than that larsson was with peter having dinner in Stockholm last night. The bilic roumor is nonsense.

C'mon the hoops get it sorted

Kenny Dalglish will be signing a 12 month contract as Liverpool manager, with the option of a rolling 12 month contract. His number one transfer target is Joe Cole, and will go all out to get his man. Apparently, Dalglish is prepared to give him the wages he wants, which will blow out Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham. Man City are not interested, which leaves Liverpool. His contract will be 105k per week for 4 years. He will end his career at Liverpool.

04 Jun 2010 05:37:19
Talk around that Leeds want Gary Hooper And Leeds is Hooper first choice over Boro & Burnley, but Leeds are struggling to agree a fee, there is thought to be a bout a Million pounds difference in the Valuations, but as Boro are willing to pay what Scunny want, it's looking more and more unlikely he'll be at Leeds next season.

04 Jun 2010 06:32:00
BLACKPOOL NEWS.

For the guy who said charlie adam would be 100% at Blackpool next season..you are WRONG.

He is currently being looked at by Everton and just who is Charlie Adams agent – oh yes that's right, David Moyes brother. So I am guessing he won't be sticking around Pool much longer.

04 Jun 2010 06:52:24
To Mr Broughton after he wrote his last post, face it mate you are a liar. Why would a jumped up school boy, as you so clearly are' have all of this information. You've clearly too much time on your hands and you just sit around dreaming up stories. Lets face it this is your life!!

Until you give us definite names and dates, stop with your little warped imagination.

The truth with LFC is, there is no new owner and transfer finds are limited (10 –15 mil)!!

04 Jun 2010 03:52:59
Tho who said arsenal got no money is wrong.arsenal club valuation is about 1.1 billion behind Man U(1.8b) and Real Madrid(1.3b)..but half of arsenal revenue is for paying stadium debt.

BPL football team valuation ranking :
1.Man Utd 1.8 b – revenue 459 m
2.Arsenal 1.1 b – revenue 369 m
3.Liverpool 882 m – revenue 304 m
4.Chelsea 646 m – revenue 340 m
5.Man City 258 m – revenue 143 m

the truth behind this that man city is not the richest team in bpl..the owner is rich but not the club..
thats the TRUTH..

Any true leeds rumours are we gettin kakuta on loan??
is it true hooper is on his way to leeds!! MOT

04 Jun 2010 02:43:04
Can I first start by saying all these Rangers fans who keep mentioning Petrov, PLEASE get a grip!
Your top goal scorer will walk away from you because of the poor contract offered top him so how can you afford the £45k a week that Petrov wants?

Now onto more realistic stories –
Sol Campbell very close to signing for Celtic on a 2yr deal although West Ham could highjack this as he really wants to stay in the EPL

Mcgeady will leave as the board have 2 bids of over £8m on the tasble and Aiden has had enough of the fans gettiung on his back.

Boruc and Sammi also away although these stories will not come out until after the WC

04 Jun 2010 01:44:19
Though ashley cole is 30. r.madrid will have to pay him around 30m+.same is the case of drogba.because we know that chelsea aint any need of money.and ashley is not cesc.that is he is not pushing for a transfer as is drogba.both are not desperate for any moves.thats why i think chelsea will accept only a bid around 30m+ to part with their best players.lamps shouldn't even be rumoured out.ofcourse he likes mourinho, but he owes more to chelsea and its fans.may be its evident from his dad's words from his book totally frank

Hi everyone, I posted on here two days ago regarding a contract that had been drawn up for a Directorship of Club football within a premiership club but I didn't know who it was designed for. The contract was apparantly used as a tool by the LFC board to extract Rafa from his 1st team coaching role by offering him a "promotion" (thereby not sacking him and having to pay the termination settlement) within the club, safe in the knowledge that whichever way it went the board would get what they want. A route to a new manager without having to pay £16million into Rafa's bank the next day! Instead negotiations took place on a basis that he would receive compensation for not taking up the new post while losing his previous role – clever huh!
Now, some more interesting and relevant information I've heard from the same senior HR source that gave me the previous tip hours before the news of Rafa's departure broke (not that she told me who it was for at the time!) An offer has been drawn up and sent to a solicitor in Finland for a role of 1st team coach, under a mentor. It doesn't take a genious to work out that the mentor is already at Anfield and a fans favourite but he doesn't want the manager role fulltime but does want to have influence in the changing room.. the proposal has been made for a previous fans favourite and a man who commands GREAT respect by the existing playing staff to return to Anfield after a year away to gel the team alongside Kenny (and it gives the current Captain something to really think about as they are good friends still..)
It's cost effective, would no doubt keep the fans happy, the players would relate and have instant respect for him and want to play for him, is a trouble free individual and will not have high expectations thrust upon him from day 1..
It looks like it might be time for LFC fans to say..welcome back Sami Hyypia!! I'm not saying its a done deal or anything but it makes perfect sense and the wheels seem to be in motion!!
Please post this Mr Editor if you can!

Michael.

Premier league News Flash And Wake Up Call !

i need to point out a massive fact to all premier league football fans.
all these rumors going around are ridiculous to me.
with some of the names and prices being quoted in these hard financial times is outrageous.
the banks are calling in loans , not lending out more funds
and what with the weak pound against the euro means high wages are not possible for top euro players.
so most top euro players will end up in spain , italy or germany as they can earn more money.
i expect man u and arsenal to sign no big names and to use the same strategy by shopping in the bargain bins and developing talent rather than buying established players.
Liverpool need to worry more about getting the right manager and keeping the players they got.
man city will struggle to sign the marque players they want but will still spend the most in the transfer window full stop.
Chelsea will buy 2 or 3 players if they can get the right signings but they are not going to spend 100 mil in this climate i can tell you for a fact.
man u and chelsea did not spend proper money in last transfer window due to the fact there where no real good value players around for them to sign
i expect lower down the league clubs to go for loan deals to help develop talent from clubs like Chelsea , man u , arsenal and spurs ect
Talking of spurs do not underestimate harry rednapp like a lot of you do , he has just qualified for the champions league and spurs don't have much debt.
they can afford a couple of big name signings.
make the most of it as i doubt spurs will get past man city next season
i also happen to know there is a premier league club that's well known that's not to far off administration which would shock you all

you know the deal

I would love to see this comment from Joe Cole saying that he doesn't want to join Arsenal!Point being there is no comment.
Cole wants to stay in London due to his wife not willing to move as she has just given birth.Chelsea have now closed all talks with Cole and Spurs can only offer £50'000 per week.It is rumoured that Arsenals offer is £90'000 per week with added bonuses.
Arsene Wenger is believed to have told Fabregas that if Barca meet Arsenals valuation then he can move.If not then he will stay.Cesc is believed to be ok with this as he trusts Wenger.Barca's problem is that Arsenals valuation is £80million and they can not afford anywhere near that amount.

Joseph yobo being looked at by Celtic as Everton want rid off him, he would do a good job in the SPL.

Maloney to WBA or Birmingham hopefully used in swap deal with Dorrens or Faddy[we can all dream].

Hope some one buys Sammi and a few of the others who are not fit to wear a hooped jersey this includes Broony although he had a few decent games at end of the season but his overall career with us has been a let down.

We cannot be as bad as last season hopefully win the league but the board will need to support the new manager whoever this is with a decent pot of money otherwise it could be another crappy season.

BLACKPOOL NEWS
Not 100% but fairly confident of them going through:

INS
EBANKS BLAKE – WOLVES
WELBECK ( SEASON LONG LOAN)
DJ CAMPBELL – LEICESTER – £1M?
BROADFOOT – RANGERS
JACK CORK – CHELSEA
JOE HART (SEASON LONG LOAN)
GARY KENNETH – DUNDEE UTD
STEVE FINNAN – POMPEY RELEASED
BEATTIE? – STOKE CITY
RICHARD CHAPLOW – PKE (HOPE IT DOESN'T GO THROUGH)

ONE LAST THING CHARLIE ADAM WILL STILL BE A POOL PLAYER THIS TIME NEXT YEAR! HE WILL LEAD BLACKPOOL OUT IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE! – THAT I'M 100% SURE ABOUT.

Blackpool WILL stay up as long as Holloway is still at the reign! Up the Pool!

04 Jun 2010 00:16:59
Prepare for some more shrewd Moyes Magic in the transfer market!

Yakubu destined for the Hammers, likely to be £8m or £9m now with further add ons for goals and appearances to raise the total value.

Yobo likely to be shipped out and Vertonghen possible replacement as more versatile, and we know Moyes likes that.

Hatem Ben Arfa likely to join for £8m after initial loan

Landon Donovan to join for £3m as Moyes very impressed by attitude and adaptability.

Protracted chase of Joao Moutinho to gather pace and likely to finish with Everton breaking transfer record with a £16m transfer

Robbie Keane a possible striking option though Moyes also keen on Cardozo who he witnessed first hand in last seasons Europa League transfer fee may be the stumbling block on either of these deals those as Everton don't have a bottomless pit of money.

Steven Pienaar's future still hands in the balance, should he leave Moyes may move for Marko Marin.

Also Ever Benega may move to Merseyside but to be found in the blue not red.

04 Jun 2010 00:23:54
Man United line up future targets and prospects.

Alexis Sanchez
Stevan Jovetic
Neven Subotic
Marek Hamsik
Steven Defour
Javi Maartinez
Igor Akinfeev
Luis Suarez

Not all of course but certenly expect some.

04 Jun 2010 00:25:15
I have been told that gary hooper will sign for LEED UNITED in the next week or so for about 1.9m heard it from a close friend of his . so it looks like super LEEDS have won the race

04 Jun 2010 00:11:41
MANCHESTER UNITED are planning to hijack Arsenal's Koscielny deal, its become apparent that Lorient want 10m for their prized asset and United are willing to offer 10m and allow him to stay in France on loan for next season. Koscielny was also a Bordeaux target when Laurent Blanc was in charge but they have failed to meet Lorient's valuation. A United offer will be submitted in the next few days.

04 Jun 2010 00:16:29
Please give up the dumb rumours about Liverpool signing Mata, Higuain, Turan, etc.
Rafa has gone and will shortly sign a deal making him the new coach at Internazionale. As his severance deal has eaten further into an already pretty desperate situation, there will be minimal funds available for the new manager (Won't be O'Neill! It will be Roy Hodgson). There is no takeover pending as has been much speculated for months and months now. The fans are stuck with Gillette and Hicks until they drop their over inflated vaulation of the club – therefore they know that a manager who can operate on a budget is their top priority. There will be a big bid after the World Cup for Fernando Torres. Now that it is looking unlikely a deal for Fabregas will be done due to Arsenal's valuation of the player and Barca's refusal to meet it, they will use the money to land Torres. Only around £20m from the sale will be issued to the new manager to invest in rebuilding the team. Steven Gerrard will leave for Real Madrid after the World Cup (£23m). Expect Brede Hangeland (£10m) and Bobby Zamora (£12m) to join once Hodgson is confirmed.

PS) Where have all these Leeds Utd rumours started sprouting from? Since they made the Championship, there's been an abundance of ridiculous claims that simply won't happen – LUFC have very little money available! They will do well to avoid a drop back into League One next season now that Beckford has gone and Snodgrass is next to go.

04 Jun 2010 00:01:26
Arsene Wenger is so desperate to sow up the Koscielny deal so Manchester United do not pinch him, they could offer £7m plus youngsters Francis Coquelin and Armand Traore for the FC Lorient defender.

Wenger does not want another Smalling incident!

03 Jun 2010 23:52:29
LFC to sign a big asian star i don't know who but it will bring in money as huge market in asia whoever the manager is

Derby County are currently looking at Wycombes Jon–Paul Pitman to replace the outgoing Rob Hulse, who looks likely to reject Leeds for a place at Boro.

Snodgrass will not be signing for Nottm Forest, this rumour is a smoke screen for Peter Whittingham, who will sign for 1.5million before the weekend is done. Also on Forests radar are Charlie Austin, and Adam Lallana.

03 Jun 2010 23:59:24
To the person who repleyed this :
I would love to see Smith back at Leeds and hope it happens but the team he supported as a child is Liverpool (he deffinately won't be going there).

No mate, just no, Alan Smith grew up in Leeds, supported Leeds and came though the youth, he loves leeds, and he wants to come back and get Leeds back to the premiership and finsh his cearer with us!
Alan Smith is 100% Leeds United and he is simply a legend.
Forget that he went to Man U !
Smith love Leeds
Leeds love Smith

I've got a bad feeling that the managerial position at Celtic will carry on until after the world cup.

Don't think Lenny will be the manager possible assistant or part of management team.

By this time there will be no time for players that they hope to sign to have chance to settle, more incompetance by the board;) Celt4ev@

––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

I'm hearing lenny should be announced tomorrow, monday at latest, BUT if it falls through, I have the same concerns as you there mate, by the time we find a suitable manager, it could be too late, but that's the worst possible scenario.
But don't stress, expect The Ginga Ninja to sign Very very soon!
Hail Hail
