Celtic will now be stepping up thier bid to sign Bellamy, although this is still dependant on Mcgeady leaving. However Celtic do want the deal done before Monday nights deadline to register players for the Europa league qualifer. It's understood man city would prefer to do buisness with celtic rather than sell him to a premiership rival like spurs, Bellamy wants a return to Parkhead and this would be his first choice.

I have heard in the last few minutes that martin bain has secured the signature of Nikica Jelavic on a 4 year contract. Fee is 3.5m with a further 1m depending on apperances and other things. Walter Smith is said to delighted with the signing and can't wait to unleash him on the european stage. I have been told by Chris Hughtons son that Newcastle are looking to bring in 3 players before the end of the transfer window, Centre back, Left Back, and Centre Forward. Negotiations are under way with Ricardo Rocha . Wayne Bridge(man city) and Jay Simpson(Arsenal) are the two other targets but personnal terms are still to be agreed. Ryan Bertrand was brought in as cover as Forest could not afford to wait any longer on a decision from Shorey, though Forest have not yet given up hope of a deal being done at some point in the future.

Austrian newspapers are reporting that Rapid Vienna are stating that no offers have been received for striker Jelavic, despite reports in the Scottish press that Rangers have bid EUR4m. Just an update on Mesut Ozils transfer saga. I can confirm he will be holding talks with Man Utd this Saturday and the deal will be announced no later than Monday. He will as somebody else has suggested be signing a 5 year deal and the fee should be around 12,000,000. Man Utd have also made discreet enquiries about Fabio Quagliarella and Gianpaulo Pazzini but will only make a move if Dimitar Berbatov should leave. Manchester Utd will have a busy year in the transfer market over the next 12 months and if some of the new youngsters don't make the grade then expect to see Sir Alex make moves for Eden Hazard, Douglas Costa , Connor Wickham and there is still an outside chance of Fergie signing Wesley Sneijder. The embargo will be lifted on Cardiff City Tomorrow. Tom Heaton and Danny Drinkwater already signed on loan will then be registered with the football League. Jason Koumas, who signed yesterday will also be registered with the football league. Before Saturday morning there will be at least three additional signings and They are Liam Miller, Marlon Harewood and Andy Keogh. Additionally a decision is pending on trialists Gregory Vignal and Toni Kallio and these two players may very well be signed as well.

I've been told that now Kandol has left Leeds his wage bill will be now used to tempt another striker to Leeds.
With the likely been Kelvin Etuhu from Manchester City most likely loan deal but rumour is Grayson doesn't want to loan a striker he wants to buy one.
The other striker rumoured is Michael Chopra because Cardiff need the funds but they price him at £3million, and I for one can't see Bates stumping up the cash.

I am by no means sure that there has been an offer for Cole, but if he were to leave than I would expect Zhirkov to stay. There is cover at left back from Van Aanholt, who is a real find, and if there was a further issue then Ryan Bertrand could be recalled from his loan at Nottingham Forest. At present, it is hard to tell what is going to happen at left back, but the preference must be to keep Cole and Zhirkov – who can also provide cover for Malouda. The other option on the left is Scott Sinclair and I expect him to leave the club.
A younger striker is probably needed but I doubt my preference for replacing Kalou with Neymar would be considered at this time. Aguero seems to be staying with Atletico Madrid and unless that situation changes I think Chelsea will keep with Anelka, Drogba, Kalou, Sturridge and Borino through January and review the situation then. I expect Di Santo to leave and not be replaced.
Srna is an odd one and I guess it could spell the end for Ferreira and either Bosingwa or Ivanovich. With Hutchinson coming through I would think that Ferriera leaving and forgetting about Srna is the best option. More pressing in my view is replacing Carvalho if Mancienne is not willing to wait in the wings.
I think Chelsea are now in the position, assuming Deco is moving to Fluminense and Ramires is joining, where any non–home grown player joining has to also see one leaving.

This is how it could work out for the old firm. Celtic to sign Bellamy on a year loan or 6 months with a view to buy in January. McGeady won't sign for Spartak as he'd have to show he is learning Russian well within 4 months (it is 1 of the things they put in contracts for overseas players) and he still has his heart set on the epl. He may go to Villa if the Milner saga ends with him leaving, most probably towards the end of the transfer window. unfortunatly, unless others show interest we may only get £8 million possibly with add ons. We will sign a new keeper, 2 defenders and at least 1 more midfielder.
On the other side of town, Rangerms will get the lad from rapid for £2.5–£3 million plus add ons unless Everton step up interest and cough up the full amount in 1 go. They'll get a couple of players at maybe £1–1.5 million each and loans. This will not include Oberton of Man Utd as he has played very well during pre–season and could make appearences this season in Manchester. He was impressed with the Stoke training ground, and the manager.
But he said he has not signed for Stoke, he is going back to France to day and will come back after the weekend to vist two other prem league teams.

Newcastle will spend what cash they have on KP Boateng for approx 4 mil and look to convince SAF to first loan and with VMP Michael Carrick who's form has slipped. Just an update on Mesut Ozils transfer saga. I can confirm he will be holding talks with Man Utd this Saturday and the deal will be announced no later than Monday. He will as somebody else has suggested be signing a 5 year deal and the fee should be around 12,000,000. Man Utd have also made discreet enquiries about Fabio Quagliarella and Gianpaulo Pazzini but will only make a move if Dimitar Berbatov should leave. Big story going around today that Remy is flying into England to hold talks with Stoke City. Apparently, they're the only club in England to now hold a serious interest. Rennes are also interested, but Remy has stated he wants to play in the Premier League.
However, I still expect West Ham to follow up their interest in the player. From what I've heard, the Board were waiting to see if any team (ironically, it was most likely going to be Stoke) were going to place an adaquate bid for Carlton Cole to help finance the bid for Remy.
However, now that Stoke have dropped their interest in Cole and want Remy, West Ham have pushed their offer up to £13.5 million, which if my source is correct, is 500k more than Stoke's. Therefore, Remy may also travel down to London for talks with the Hammers after his discussions with the Potters.
In any case, Stoke and West Ham are now the only teams in the race for Remy's signature.

Add the name of Sergio Asenjo to the list of goalkeepers SAF is keeping tabs on. As per the latest info Asenjo has been struggling with an injury however he will be in action from the start of the season itself despite the injury. The club expects him to be at his usual best by January. The word going around is that it will be during the January window that the new keeper would be roped in and that SAF has narrowed the list down to 3 (from 5) with Akinfeev in there, don't know who the 3rd one is. The bid would be around 10mil for either of the 3. However, if Asenjo is bought in Jan, he'll be loaned back to A.Madrid immidiately and will join ManU at the start of the next season.

I am a friend of Sky Sports News' Dharmesh Sheth and this is the latest inside information. Now that Loic Remy is set to arrive in England, West Ham will once again ramp up the talks and conclude the deal. Stoke City will not be able to match the offer West Ham have given, and Nice want West Ham to resolve this deal quickly, which is why they have allowed Remy to come to England. The fee of 13.5 million Euros had been agreed several weeks ago but personal terms have not be agreed. Both parties want the deal to be concluded as soon as possible, preferrably before the start of the French season on Saturday, so it is believed that Remy should be unveiled tomorrow alongside Winston Reid and Miralem Sulejmani. The Remy deal was until now being held up by Nice's pursuit of Middlesbrough's Didier Digard and the Sulejmani deal was due to Ajax's impending Mido deal, but both deals will be announced in due course. Remy may not be available for Saturday's match with Deportivo La Coruna, but will be for the first match of the season next weekend. I shall keep you in the loop about further transfer targets I hear from Dharmesh, the only other person mentioned is Kevin–Prince Boateng, but West Ham are waiting to sell Radoslav Kovac, Jonathan Spector and Danny Gabbidon before proceeding.

Benzema 30 milion?? Maybe two years ago, not now.
