"correct me if I am wrong, however you will find that NUfc are still regarded as a seeded team in European competitions due to past participation"

Well, I would like to correct you here. The European ranking depends on there participations over the course of the last five years. The rankings are based on the points each team get over the last five years ( the points are assigned by how far they have reached in the competition), + the country in which they belong to. ( For instance, if an English and Russian team has not participated over the last five years in any European competition, the English team would get a higher ranking due to the league the come from.

And for the seeded team, the top 8 teams in the ranking are automaticaly seeded teams.

I read this forum every day, and often see spelling mistakes and bad grammar. This only goes to show how much some people posting on here know if they cannot spell the name of the player they are speculating about.

Newcastle Targets

Nicky Shorey (£3–5 million)

Pablo Aimar (£4–7 million)

Bafetimbi Gomis (£8–12 million)

Tal Ben Haim (£2–4 million)

Wayne Hennessey (£3–5 million)

Louis Saha (£4 million)

Michael Bradley (£5 million)

Orlando Engelaar ( £5 million)

As a fan of NUfc I can only hope that we do indeed sell Obafemi Martins for £18 million, he is highly overrated.

I do not expect al of these players to sign, rather that I believe KK to be interested n these players.

As for the big club debate, Tottenham and Everton have had more success in recent history, but NUfc are more well known globally, so the verdict depends on how you judge a club to be ''big''.

Dave

Carlos Cuellar is going nowhere guys. he and his agent have publicly stated that he is very happy at Rangers and money is not a factor for the player. the only move he would consider is if one of the big Spanish clubs came in for him. just a quick reality check for some of my fellow gers, we will only bring in another 2–3 players at the very most and none of them will be "blue chip" signings. Davis will stay and at best a left and right back will be brought in. i have no names to tout around, as with any footie fan there is a massive list of players I would love to see but will never happen.

To the guy who said Berbatov to LFC you are correct Keane is a smoke screen for the bulgarian, Rafa said that a player who speaks English but not is. They have already agreed a fee it is £18 million + Crouchy. as for personal terms they are offering him 90 k a week (that is why Kewell went).

Trinidad's midfield scarlet 19 year old Khareem Hyland will sign with Portmouth soon. Hyland who is said to be a gifted player will be in England in a few days. Celtics made an offer for him last year which ran into work permit problems.

Ok, I live in the West Midlands and am a Tottenham fan, so I take no interest in this rumour but for those of you who care I would like to inform you that the Liverpool/Barry situation is as follows:

Liverpool offered Villa a deal which was £15 million paid over three years – Villa declined this offer BECAUSE they did not think Liverpool could afford this. (Crazy I know with a huge club like Liverpool but that is the truth). I know this because my friends Dad works at Aston Villa, I have no idea what he does but my friend told me exactly what I have told you. Whether Liverpool will up the bid I have no idea.

.: Yido:.

Everton need three midfielders. Moyes is looking at a lot of them too. Michael Johnson, Michael Bradley, Kim Kallstrom, Mehmet Aurelio, Pablo Aimar, Joaquin, Stephane M'Bia and Sebastien Bassong included. Look for Phil Neville to take the Carsley role. and watch out for some appearances (starting in the League Cup and UEFA qualifiers) from youngster Dan Gosling. COYB.

  Albion Rumours

It looks as though Tony Mowbray is to pip his fellow newly promoted rivals to the signatures of both Marcus Bent and Jerome Thomas. Both want away from the Valley and deserve Premier League opportunities. Likely fees £1.25 million for Bent and £2.5 million for the exciting Thomas.

Darius Henderson is going to Norwich for 1.5 mill

+ double Sunderland swoop for McShane and Anderson for 2 mill

word. peace.

Funny how the Celtic Park "sneak" gives us enough info to identify him? I know the department and there is not an Accies fan amongst them. The players he has listed have all been regularly mentioned in the papers. Anyway, George Boateng has had talks with Gordon Strachan (yesterday, Thursday) and should be announced as the next signing at the Ranch in a few days. Not exactly exciting, but true. I have also heard that Maloney would prefer to go to Rangers, not sure how true that one is though.

Marvin

After completing the signings of Greg Halford and Sun Jihai, Kevin Blackwell will complete his Summer transfers by signing Lee Martin from Man United, Dave Cotterill and Michael Brown from Wigan Athletic along with a surprise defensive acquisition. The new big centre back will be Dan Shittu from Watford. He will then hope to finish by completing a deal for Lee Cook on loan from Fulham.

Players on their way out will be Luton Shelton possibly to Leeds for about £700,000, Keith Gillespie to Burnley and if Lee Cook joins Stephen Quinn to Stoke for £1 million to join Chris Lucketti who has gone to Huddersfield Town.

  – – – – – – – – – –

"Nathan Ellington is also a possibility for signing for Birmingham. "

sorry mate, he's already gone to Derby on a season–long loan with an option to buy.

And whoever thinks theyll bid for Tommy Mooney, he's already moved to some seaside team in Spain and has said the only club hed come back to is Watford.

not much transfer activity this Summer due to GS tryin to sell up, Shittu will go to Rangers if they match the £4 million valuation, in which case Davenport on a season loan would be a possibility.

A few clubs want DeMerit, but hed rather stay and fight for his place than move, and we wudnt accept anything apart from a silly offer.

Boothroyd looking at loan signings to take us through until January wen hopefully the board will be more settled, these could be Chris Eagles again, and he's looking for another forward though expect Priskin to feature more if he stays.

Scott Loach to be given a chance in the first team as he's a lot bigger than Richard Lee (6ft5 to 6ft0) and AB prefers his keepers over 6ft3, Loach is a top prospect which is why Tottenham and Everton were sniffing around.

So, there is this rumour going round that none of you actually have a clue. apparently Liverpool are broke, despite having spent £6 million on Skrtel, £15 million on Mascherano and £7 million on Dossena in the last six months. Good things are coming our way fellow reds. If you can bear it just ignore the rumours, they will not be accurate as the club has sent out 'Decoys'. Also a lot of clubs are going public to try and get higher prices (Villa, Blackburn etc. ) and then blaming the Pool. They are playing dangerous games, as they could end up with no money and unhappy players. On the inbound front, do not expect too many signings; a few youth players to come through, but Rafa is very happy with how the squad performed for most of the season. Agger should be back for the start of the season and he will provide us with the defensive stability we need, Alonso will only leave for top dollar, and Rafa is not keen about selling him, especially after his Euro performances.

Wow, someone snuck in this old chesnut.

"the other downside for LIVERPOOL is Benitez managed to turn Peter Crouch from a player who I and most of the country believed would score every time he played into a bench warmer, what a waste of his talent"

When in reality Benitez MADE Crouch the player he is today. Everyone wrote him off when we signed him, and also when he was going through he lean patch (20 odd games without a goal) but Benitez stuck with him. That does not mean he might not be leaving here.

  Afc Bulletin #######

Arsenal target Senna will noot be leaving Villarreal and be moving to Arsenal as Senna himself has said soo. With WHUfc having noot given Gk Green any new offer 4 an improved deal, it's been heard Arsene Wenger may make an £6 million offer 2 WHUfc 2 sign Green.

This time last Summer I posted the rumour that Luis Garcia would go to Athletico Madrid and a few days later Fernando Torres would move to Liverpool. I have not posted since. This Summer I can advise that Robbie kean will move to Liverpool without a shadow of a doubt. 100 percent fact.

  Manchester City

Outs

Samaras will be going to Celtic – A fee has already been agreed for £1.75 million and the Friendly recently announced. Giovanni, Dickov, Mpenza released – expect to see Mpenza at Ipswich next season, and Giovanni at Hull City. Hart and Dunne are signing new contracts – expect to see news next week on this. Johnson has not signed a new contract yet. City are looking for buyers for Corradi (Siena nominal fee). Hughes will decide on Bianchi and Bojinov after the German Training Camp.

Ins

Jo already signed. Ronaldinho will not sign for City – Expect a Milan move. Bentley is also unlikely to come – Expect a move to Tottenham. City may move for Milito if Hughes decides to ship out either Bianchi or Bojinov. They want defensive cover, a right midfielder, a left–back and central midfielder. Hughes is keen about Stephen Warnock for left back and may make a surprise move for Patrick Viera for Central midfield. Favoured option on the right wing is Corluka's Croatian team–mate Darijo Srna.

To the person who said Agbonlahor would be heading to Arsenal to replace adeybayor, you're wrong, Agbonlahor is a die hard Villa fan and has lived in the area all his life and has stated before he would not think of leaving Villa until he was a legend, now for real rumours: Sidwell will be signed by the 11th July for £5 million, Robinson should also have joined by that date for around the same fee, the main news coming out of Villa park is Blackburn rejected a bit of £15 million for Bentley so Villa have decided to look elsewhere, also after been banned from everything Villa oNeil has told barry, Liverpool have to pay £18 million, no add ons, this could scupper the deal meaning barry playing in the reserves for the seasn.

the v–man

These are true facts not dreams unlike most Liverpool fans who seem to think there signing 20 players United Ronaldo will be staying David Villa will be joining along with falcao, veloso and a young right back from Manchester City not Micah Richards Louis Saha will be given to January to prove his fitness otherwise will be sold to either Sunderland, Blackburn or Stoke Eagles to go along with Frazier Campbell and possibly John O'Shea to Newcastle Sunderland or Middlesborough or Everton.

To start with, can people please stop with their hopes of signing David Villa or Klass Huntelaar. Villa has already came out and said he would only move to LIVERPOOL or ARSENAL, then said he will stay with VALENCIA so he did not look available. Clearly a deal has been struck with one of two clubs, as ARSENAL have already signed HUNTELAAR for £14.5 million.

Now some proper rumours.

ARSENAL – Wenger has claimed he will use most of the budget given to him to keep previous players, and will stick to that.

INs

Huntelaar – £14.5 million

Nasri – £12 million

OUTs

Adebayor – £30 million (FC Barcelona)

CHELSEA – with Big Phil Scolari in the hotseat, he will look to use his influence over players he's coached as a national manager and prize them to Stamford Bridge.

DONE Deals

Deco – £8 million

Bosingwa – £16 million (obviously he was Chelsea manager earlier than everyone expected)

INs

Ronaldinho – £18 million

Ricardo – £6 million

Eto'o – £25 million

OUTs

Cudicini – £2 million (Stoke or WBA)

Ferreira – £4.5 million (Sunderland)

liverpool

Everyone saying Rafa does not have a decent budjet, think again. He will start with a good £50 million and build on that.

INs

Villa – £18 million (Unhappy with Valencia mnager)

Silva – £15 million

Niemi – £1.5 million

Dossena – £12 million

Keane – £14 million

Barry – £15 million + Carson

OUTs

Crouch – £13 million (Aston Villa) as Pompey are unwilling to pay up and their interested with Maloney leaving.

Alonso – £20 million (Juve) only in January as Masch is out for the Olympics so his price tag will rise

Pennant – £5 million (Blackburn) Bentley to Tottenham

And a load more

MAN UNITED – after Fergie said "We will stick with our older players", that meant about one signing.

INs –

Nihat – £10 million

OUTs

Ronaldo – £60 million (Madrid)

O'Shea – £7 million (Sunderland) as Keane and AF are good pals

These are factual, not some silly made up stuff. 100 percent legit.

Mr Legitement

The player Rafa was talking about who is n ot English but speaks English, is villareals and former Arsenal player Jose antonia Reyes. Rafa wants to link him up with Torres up front. Plus he can play on the left.

Heard lots of talk this morning that Warren Feeney is on his way to Swansea City from Cardiff City in a £100,000 deal + Jason Scotland. Also Darren Purse is rumoured to be on his way back to the Midlands in a £1 million + Martin Laursen deal.

Burnley Will Not Be Signing Derek Riordan.

Gaffer Owen Coyle Has Other Options Available To Him With Better Value For Money.

Quote: Also anybody know who the forward that Phil Brown went to Holland to meet is?

It's Roy Makaay, ironically the player I said City should sign if we'd beaten your lot in the P–O final.

And our boy Bradley Orr's off to Blackburn

Barnsley could sign Wolves Striker Freddy Eastwood on a season long loan.

Wolves 4 Life

  Sunderland will sign:

Jan Koller – 2.5 mill

Jonny Evans – 7 mill

Darren Bent – 10 mill

Richard Dunne – 4 mill

Sources close to the club also say Grant Leadbitter is to be a key part of the clubs plans for the up and coming season.

My boyfriend is a shed inspector and was at Niall Quinns in Durham last week.

Love Donna

Everton, THFC and NUfc fans need their heads knocking together. It's all a bit "My Dad's bigger than your dad", is not it? Load of rubbish and time to leave it, though I doubt Tottenham fans will as they seem to have a real bee in their bonnet about NUfc (possible due to always losing against them at St. James').

Anyway, expect two more signings at NUfc, and no more. Milner leaving to the Villa for £7 million once Barry has left for LFC.

Expect KK to leave possibly before the season starts, not one bookie will give me odds on this and my contact at Sky is not known for his Duff rumours. Speaking of Duff, off to SAfc for £5 million.

Oh and the mackem with the piss poor spelling – excellent stuff, you should become a regular contributor.

Right, beer time.

I am a Rangers fan and an Arsenal fan, please expect the following signings to POSSIBLY happen for Rangers, I am not saying deffinently:

Steven Davis

Shaun Maloney

Christophe Berra

Peter Lovenkrands

Gennaro Gattuso ( Probibly not but it is always a possibility )

Now to all Arsenal fans. iff the likes of FC Barcelona bid £30 million for Adebayor. WHY DOESNT WENGER ACCEPT IT

Ade is worth probibly about £15 million.

No matter what anyone says. he is not a patch on King Thierry.

He will be back. no way is he going to Chelsea or Liverpool. Liverpool would be a step down.

And no Liverpool's not signing everyone in Spain

  Arsenal Transfer Rumours

Arsenal will definitely sign a forward, a bigger named forward if Ade goes. It may be one of Santa Cruz £15 million, Martins £10 million, Huntelaar £18 million or Podolski £12 million.

They are extremely close to signing Nasri and may sign David Silva for around £18 million. They are also very close to sigming Amaury Bischoff from Werder Bremen so they will not be needing Yaya Toure, Frings and definitely not Senna as Villarael have got him to sign a new contract stating that he will not leave for less than £20 million.

They may sign a defender, though it is very unlikely as Wenger says he does not need to strengthen his defense and probably will not sign a goalie. Hleb will most likely be sold.

Possible Ins: Santa Cruz £12 million, Martins £10, Huntelaar £18 or Podolski £12 million, Nasri £15 million–16, David Silva £18 million

Bischoff?, or maybe Yaya Toure, £8 million, Frings £5 million.

Possible Outs: Hleb £15 million, Adebayor £30–35 million.

Thanks

Where you been for the past couple of days? he signed for Sheff United

  arsenal news

Like I have been saying recently, Arsenal are financially well placed to buy whom they wish. The difference is that Wenger will not waste money on players who will not add value to the current team. Very few players can add value to our current team.

To the ADMINISTRATOR, you may have some inside news, but Eto'o is on the rador for Wenger, THIS IS A fact. You may have some inside news, but this must have escaped you. £30 million for Adebayor is way too much valuation for a one season wonder, so if Barcelona or anyone else are willing to WASTE that much money, then WENGER may well sell.

Wenger to buy max four more players:

1. Eto'o for £18 million if available.

2. David Silva for £15 million. (ist choice is Arsenal if he chooses to come to England)

3. A midfield player, but no clear choice yet. Wenger will not pay SILLY MONEY such as £25 million for Senna from Spain.

4. Unknown as yet.

Also, Wenger always buys players up to age 28, hardly ever over 28. One rumour, but not my usual Arsenal source, is that Ledley King is not out of the picture. mmm.

More facts to you all soon.

Finally having lost out on Sidwell, expect a large bid for Lucas' mate Cahill from the Toffees. If this fails then Appiah will be made No. 1 target.

All of the above will be completed by end of August 2008.

I have just found out from my source. Lampard will be leaving Chelsea, the deal will be completed in around a week. TRUST ME this is a fact not a rumour.

Whoever that tit was who said there is 2 giants in English football has not got a clue

Mcleish is then set to turn his attention to Jason Koumas of Wigan, who will arrive as part of a swap deal involving Kapo. This deal will go through with in the next week. James Mcfadden and Sebastian Larsson are both going to stay, however if we are not promoted this season they will both leave. Birmingham are also interested in signing a center half and this is going to be either Bobo Balde or Shittu, Ecks first choice is Shittu but if he fails to sign him he will go for Balde. queudrue is on his way out after falling out with sullivan and failing to turn up for pre–season training and could join one of the newly promoted sides.
