Man United, Liverpool, Chelsea an FC Barcelona are all chasing highly rated Osasuna forward VELA. He has been on form in Spain and has attracted interest although he is only on loan at Osasuna. Arsenal boss Wenger is to make a move for Ricardo Quaresma of Porto in the Summer. The winger is around £20 million and Arsene Wenger will be likely to move for him if Hleb goes to Barcelona. Also expect Arsene Wenger to make a move for either Benzema or Ben Arfa or even both. Wenger has been interested in both of them for a little while so wait until the Summer and we could see them in an Arsenal strip by next season. Also look out for Nasri, Richards, Menez and Gourcuff. The future looks bright for Arsenal's youngsters.
I was informed this morning that DIC last night have made a formal bid to Hicks and Gillett for Liverpool FC. The amount that is been talk about is about £400 million. It means that Hicks and Gillett will get a profit of £25 million or US$48 million.
It is also said that Gillett has accepted the offer. Hicks did it also because he had no choice. The reason why Hicks puts the value of the club at £1 billion was to hold out for as much money as possible. Frankly he knew he never was going to get it.
But DIC have said that they will not bid more than £400 million. Tom Hicks knows that he has to borrow atleast another £300 million–£350 million for the new stadium. He knows that he cannot pay the interest that will be in the region of £60 million a year for the total loan of £650 million–£700 million. (£350 million for the take–over and £300 million–£350 million for the new stadium)
So he accepted the bid from DIC and will net a profit of £25 million.

Chelsea are beleived to be in first place to secure Quaresma so he hopes to be re–United with Shaun Wright–Phillips, and to help MO he will go after Darren Bent as Ramos does not rate him and will be looking to get some money back.

Man United to sign benzema and o'shae to Newcastle in a cash + player deal with Steven Taylor
I work in a pub where Manchester City's young midfielder Michael Johnson's cousin is a regular and where Michael comes in occasionaly. I have been told that a move to Liverpool in the Summer is being finalised at the moment, for an inital fee of around £10 million, which will rise depending how he progresses. Please print this as it has come straight from his cousin and I am not making it up.
It worries me as a Liverpool fan, as we are going to sign Mascherano, so signing Johnson would mean Xabi Alonso will (unfortunately) almost certainly be going back to Spain and part of that money used to sign Johnson.
Also the person who posted Liverpool will be signing Micah Richards and David Villa for £10 million each? Get real. City would want 3 times that for Richards and Valencia at least double that for Villa. And with the new stadium coming, Liverpool cannot afford that sort of money.

Newcastle United will sign rennes forward jimmy briand from rennes for £7 million and Bayern Munich defender daniel van buyten for £3 million, Dean Ashton will follow on for £7 million and so will Carrick for the same price and David Bentley for 11 million, Nicky shorey will be a cheap buy for 2 million, also expect keegan to make a move for marsielle captain Lorik Cana who plays as a defensive midfielder and lobos Kalouda also looks likely to join in the Summer
