wolves interested in out of contract oldham winger lee croft

Lee croft ain't leaving the Oldham pack - see what I did there ;)

06 May 2013 21:11:15
Wes Fogden and Matt Tubbs both have the choice of joining either Exeter or Portsmouth, whilst Crawley are interested in Tubbs.

Brighton to sell Craig Mackail Smith to Bournemouth for £1.1 million and replace him with Charlie Austin

Is it true crawley are interested in matt tubbs

07 May 2013 08:40:21
Crawley don't need tubbs he is rubbish and cannot play at league 1 level

Henri Landsbury and Cedric Evina in to AFC Bournemouth

CMS for £1.1m when we payed £2. 5 + extras?! Er. NO! Plus he's still on crutches as I saw him after the match on Saturday, still going to be out for another 4/5 months.

2. m for mackiel smith

CMS for 1.1m, you must be joking. Henri Lansbury will not join Bournemouth as Forrest are far more likely to get promoted rather than you and is good enough to play premier league.

08 May 2013 08:08:53
Why would AFCB want Smith? He's not prolific & we need a big man up front alongside Pitman.
As for Charlie Austin. I just read in a local Burnley paper, that he's happy to see out his contract unless a Premier club come in for him. He said this at the end of season club party on Sunday. Maybe it's a bit of a smokescreen though?

08 May 2013 08:11:52
Why would we want CMS? He's not exactly prolific & we need a BIG man up front to compliment Pitman. CMS is a short arse at 5" 10!

"Crawley don't need tubbs he is rubbish and cannot play at league 1 level"

did you notice how few chances he got this season? 4th choice striker at AFC isn't exactly fair. And I remember him scoring at least 3 or 4 from the bench this season despite only being brought on for the last 10.

I promise you Bournemouth will be fighting for their lives not pushing for promotion,

09 May 2013 06:35:34
Forest get promoted?

Brighton will not be selling Craig mackail-smith to Bournemouth for £1.1m. We payed £3.5m for him. Bournemouth aren't even going to surivive next season. They'll go down with 30 points.

06 May 2013 21:30:12
Any new news on who oldham could sign?

06 May 2013 21:13:13
Tagerts for sheffield united:
Calvin Zola
Nathan Doyle
Johnny Russell
Mark Duffy
Richard wood (if maguire leaves)
Chris smith
Marlon pack
Sam Williams
Jimmy franks
Not sure they'll get all of them

Calvin Zola, I don't think so.
Russell, how on earth can we afford someone valued at £2m?!?
Duffy, Wood and Williams are about the only realistic targets you've mentioned! {Ed003's Note - I think Russell is looking for a move abroad given his recent comments. '££££'s' oooops meant Euro's}

06 May 2013 20:30:36
Bristol Rovers manager John Ward looks set to appoint a new assistant manager to help him get Bristol Rovers out of League 2 next season.
It is thought Wolves academy coach Mick Halsall is set to take the reigns and will be signed up before the former Peterborough and Carlisle player goes on holiday next weekend.

Darren Feguson rumored to be stepping down as Posh manager and a que of players rumored to be following.

07 May 2013 13:41:42
Fergie won't step down. The players will be released

Fergie staying! and the youngest squad in the FL will be strengthend.

Wrong Fergie stepping down :-)

09 May 2013 15:44:02
now confirmed that Darren Ferguson will not be leaving Peterborough United

06 May 2013 20:30:58
Tony Mowbray is set to watch 22 year old Leigh Griffiths play Hearts on Sunday, as he looks for a new center forward to improve his squad for next season. Leigh Griffiths (who is on loan at Hibernian from Wolves) is set to go for as little as £1.4m following Wolves relegation from the Championship.

Wolves have activated Griffiths 12 month extension clause. However it has been suggested that this was done to ramp up the price for Griffiths. But as a Wolves fan I can say he was never given a chance.

Griffiths will be playing for Wolves next year - most likely free scoring in League One

06 May 2013 20:49:00
Doncaster will make moves for Yeovil duo' Luke Ayling and Ed Upson

07 May 2013 09:56:47
Dean Saunders sacked by Wolves, will he re-apply fro the Doncaster Post? He might be a better bet than Paul Dickov, but Terry Butcher sounds like a manager to take the club for a run in the Premiership?

What do people think about us going for ex milwall manager Kenny jacket now he's a free agent, could a job for us

No to saunders

Saunders never should have left, Wolves have blown him out with a better record than Redknap has recently achieved at QPR, I would have him back no problem.

06 May 2013 20:45:21
Ashley Grimes and Jack Byrne are on Cheltenham manager Mark Yates' summer shopping list.

06 May 2013 20:45:15
Newcastle United are set to hold talks with Alan Pardew this week and are set to tell him that if they don't finish clear of relegation before the last day of the season, he will be sacked.
United have already got together a package to offer Celtic a deal to bring in Neil Lennon as their new boss.

So, they'll be sacking him then! The Toon are unable to be clear of relegation before the last day of the season, even with a victory at QPR. It's all going down to the wire. I'm not sure I'd want Neil Lennon either.

Thought David Moyes was coming but only if we stay up.

06 May 2013 20:39:43
Paris Saint Germain are set to lose Carlo Ancelotti in the summer but have already shortlisted former West Brom manager Roberto Di Matteo to be their next manager.

06 May 2013 20:39:05
Ipswich have told big earners Michael Chopra and Jay Emmanuel- Thomas they can leave this summer.

07 May 2013 12:30:07
Lee Martin is also leaving! Town players put on twitter, last journey with him. well, 18k a week on chopra, 16k a week on Martin and probably 12k a week JET, free's the wage bill up.

07 May 2013 12:30:54
Alan Judge, is on holiday at the minute he won't be talking to clubs if he's on holiday.

Has'nt he got a mobile phone?

That is what an agent is for.

06 May 2013 20:26:12
Oxford United to announce the signing of Tom Soares on a free on Tuesday morning.

Well its Tuesday afternoon

07 May 2013 19:16:34
Wilder likes to do transfer early so must be players in soon

In fact it is now Tuesday evening

06 May 2013 20:16:38
Huddersfield Town will make an optimistic move for Stoke City striker Cameron Jerome at the end of the premier league season. If this fails Robins will instead move for one of either Paddy Madden or Clayton Donaldson depending on the result in the league one playoff final

No way will you get Cammy, actually starting for Stoke now so why would he drop to a mid table championship team, even if this rumour was true you're talking around 6million, do huddersfield have that?

Yes they do, would spend on somebody better than Jerome though

None of the rumours on here suit the criteria to which Hoyle and Robins want. They want plays who see HTFC as a step up not a side or backwards step as these players won't be hungry enough.

I really doubt they will get jerome

And for your information of course we have that did we not sell Jordan Rhodes for 8 million last year!

Yes we did sell Rhodes for £8 million. not cash up front. we receive £2million a year. So sadly we can't expect to splash out big cash. As Deano says 'we have to cut our cloth accordingly'.

06 May 2013 20:06:07
Huddersfield Town are looking to sign Birmingham midfielder Keith Fahey

Liam Ridehalgh has just been offered another contract

06 May 2013 20:04:13
Norwich fans have lost total patience with the negative football played under Chris Hughton. Board will be looking at replacing him even if they manage to stay up. Board will look at Gus Poyet, Roberto Di Matteo as possible replacement because they like their teams to play attacking fotball.

07 May 2013 18:49:36
Speaking as a Norwich fan I have not lost patience. He's working with what he has, a squad that was never good enough. that's why PL jumped ship.

You can only work with what you have. we could go down by goal difference. Should had spent £10M on Hooper do you say? I say no. Hope we get him but he's not a £10M player. maybe £5M.

So If we go down by a goal or two may I suggest the man united away game as a contributor. one nil down 10 mins to go and he "went for it". midfielder of striker on. 4 nil!

And if we go down - he got Newcastle up and Brum to the play offs. Madness to reject him now. Back him instead

08 May 2013 08:16:57
All very well playing 'attractive football', but how many smaller teams manage to stay in the Prem for long playing nice football? Look at Wigan. Their luck has finally run out. Anyway whoever manages Norwich they're always going to struggle. If they finished 12th for a few seasons theyd be over achieving!

This just isn't true is it?

No, completely wrong.
the majority understand this season to be a necessary evil, in order to stay up.

next season will be his defining season, no matter what league we are in, the board intend to keep him.

06 May 2013 19:55:50
Daryl Murphy, ex of Celtic & Sunderland has agreed a two year deal with Ipswich. He has been on loan to Ipswich for the last three years & has settled in the area, but will now sign permanently!

06 May 2013 19:36:08
Swansea City are reportedly interested in Wigan Athletic striker Arouna Kone as Laudrup wants to add fire power to the team.

I can just see this being a massive rumour to be honest. but I think he could be a nice addition to the squad but this is unlikely too happen laudrup will be heading back too Spain too look for targets!

06 May 2013 19:10:00
Southampton could be interested in Victor Wanyama, Mulumbu or Yacob to be a backup for Cork and Schneiderlin. (Depending if Wigan go down)

Wake up mate your dreaming if you think you have any chance of buying any of west broms first choice midfield duo

1. why dependant on Wigan going down as none of those three are latics.
2. all of those three are at least as good as schneiderlin and better than cork so why would they be back-ups?

More dependant on if Southampton still go down!

Schneiderlin has been one of the best in the league this season. There is a reason Arsenal want him!

Wiso111, clearly "depending on Wigan going down" means if southampton stay up. Keep up son.

Id rather have Schneiderlin any day.

06 May 2013 22:43:50
Why would mulumbu or yacob leave for a team LOWER in the league and to be backups to 2 players who aren't any better than they are!

Wanyama possibly but the other two are no better than Cork or Schneiderlin. wouldn't be interested at all

OP -This is such bull. Why are Wigan relevant? And why would they go to Southampton?

To above comment - Schneiderlin is better than all of them. He's one of the top midfielders in the league and has had lots of interest from big clubs. Statistically he is the best CDM in the league. And he's only 23 years old.

07 May 2013 10:14:07
yacob was actually best statistical cdm in the prem with mulumbu not far behind

Schneiderlin has the most tackles and interceptions, as well as distance traveled I believe.

Where are you getting this information from? Schneiderlin is the top tackler in the BPL and Europe and an unbelievable passer with the most interceptions made over anyone else in the BPL. Plus he has scored 5 goals this season. Not bad for a CDM.

No, they are not.

Schneiderlin has recently achieved acclaim. He's been in sly sports alternate XI for the season. Statistically he has made the most interceptions out of every player in the prem. He makes the second most tackles out of every player in a game. All of this whilst still playing for a team in a relegation fight. In his first season in the prem. At the age of 23 years old. He is worth more than mulumbu/yacob, sorry.

What "stats" are you claiming suggest yacob is the best and mulumbu not far behind?! Ridiculous.

07 May 2013 16:31:24
All 3 would walk into your starting 11 with ease, never mind be back up to those two.

All 3 would walk into our side with ease?
Wanyama would possibly get a start ahead of Cork but ahead of Schneiderlin? No chance. There is a reason why Utd and Arsenal have been sniffing around him for a couple of seasons now. As for the other two. Neither are better than Cork or Schneiderlin.

06 May 2013 19:03:42
Peterborough United will raid leagues 1 and 2 for their players, in a bid to build a squad good enough to promote them back to the Championship. Among the targets are:

Nakhi Wells - Bradford
Ben Pringle - Rotherham
Clayton Donaldson - Brentford
Luke Murphy - Crewe
AJ Leitch-Smith - Crewe
Will Grigg - Walsall
Marlon Pack - Cheltenham
Luke Ayling - Yeovil
Jermaine McGlashan - Cheltenham

Pringle? Wells?

Pringle isn't going any where.
Signed a new 2 year contract and he is now a full miller.

We don't have enough money for them

Posh haven't got a pot to etc?. they made a 3.5 million profit in the last financial year, they are in a lot better position than most other league clubs.

Pack is going to Swindon as it was agreed in January, Swindon's brief embargo stopped that! As for wells you're dreaming as bradford will beat Northampton in the play off final

07 May 2013 11:19:35
posh all ready have a decent squad to go back up, terrible start to the season got us relegated. straight back up if we keep dwight gayle

You got no chance of keeping Dwight Gayle mate

No chance if keeping a player that has got 5 years left on contract and as good he has been its all potential at present he will be playing in championship with posh before long unless big team pay over the odds for him

DMac has tweeted ref Gayle. "10 million plus add ons, hope that put that one to bed"

Marlon Pack will not be joining Swindon, Bournemouth is the most likely destination.

I think the squad that Posh currently have is good enough to go straight back up, on form since mid December they were the sixth best performing team in the Championship, just four points below Watford in pole.

Aj has signed a new deal. murph will go prem

Clayton would not join Peterborough! he is the main man at Brentford!

06 May 2013 19:00:39
I hear from a reliable source that dean furman and tommy spurr are on the verge of signing 2 year deals with Donny and that the Grayson thing is not complete rubbish but PNE asking too much money nick barmby also in the mix to become next manager he has an interview Wednesday. John Ryan has said the club have transfer targets in mind I'm led to believe that will Grigg and Mendez Laing are 2 of them also Brian flynns first job in his new roll is to get John lundstram back and give ball, maxted and Wakefield new deals. Paddy Mullen though will be released the new deals will see them play in the new development team Flynn has set up

Would you want Dean Saunders? Interested to hear what you think of him.

Official statement from PNE this morning 7/5/13, "there has been no contact from Doncaster" and the rumours on Simon Grayson were made-up. Suggest you obtain a new "source" for information.

Terry Connor looks set to be announced as No 2 to John Ward at Bristol Rovers.

After this next season JW is looking to move to a Director of Football Role and TC will takeover as manager.

Transfer news.
Steve Mildenhall has been offered a Two year deal subject to exiting Millwall.

Matt Lunds move to BRFC is stalling as Peter Levens name is being banded around by his agent.

Jamie Cureton will not be coming to the Mem but Rovers are talking to Jake Hyde.

John Joe O'Toole has been offered a deal but is looking around. deal has a deadline of May 17th or Rovers will move on.

John Ward has two other midfield targets and a further Championship striker that he is working on but are in very early stages.

Expect all deals done early though.

This news is straight from the Ground,, talking to a Director at the Legends game this weekend.

Why on earth would Terry Connor leave being number two at Ipswich to being number two here?

07 May 2013 04:35:42
because he loves the gas and he was manager here before

Ok where to start.
Terry conner 'rumour' is not true.
Matt lund is not coming back.
JJ O'toole has been offered a contract but that will last till the end of June not the 17th of May! and I am very confident that JJ will sign and Jamie cureton is not coming back.

07 May 2013 10:50:38

highly rated harrogate town goalkeeper Craig MacGillivray is part of Abbott's list of possible targets for the carlisle manger, other include queen of the south's nicky clark, peter hartley of hartlepool united.

Craig MacGillivray will become the number 2 unless mark Gillespie gets sold with Brighton, Newcastle, Millwall and Sunderland interested in him and England u19 international Brad potts. {Ed003's Note -

Hartleppol United's Scott Flinders (GK) has signed for Rotherham United to be in the no. 1 shirt for next season with Scott Shearer to be the back up goalkeeper after Andy Warrington was released by the club.

~deMiller

Supposibly Flinders agent has been in contact with RUFC however Rotherham are not interested in Flinders.
I however hope he does sign and i'd not then someone better does.

06 May 2013 17:06:10
Walsall Football Club are close to agreeing to let Coventry City ground share new season at the Banks's stadium

Heard a rumour that the sky blues will have to pay around£20,000- £25,000 per game to play at the 11, 300 capacity stadium

This will only be for a season while the sky blues build a new 12,000 seated stadium in the city, this could involve buying the Airwair Stand (Holding 2, 372 fans) from Nene park

Source- Coventry Telegraph journalist

Utter tosh 23 games x 20k that's 460k per season. ACL were charging 400k for the ricoh which is less. Get your facts straight before you add to the already confusing demise of ccfc. Pusb. Sisu out.

07 May 2013 06:53:03
All of this talk about Coventry playing outside the City is nonsense. The rumours are really one part of a negotiating position that SISU have taken in the hope that their dispute with ACL ends in their favour.
The Football League should intervene under their Rule that owners need too be " fit and proper" because the sure fact is that SISU have let down Coventry and the Football Club with no real interest/understanding in Football and no long term viable financial planning to improve the Club " on the field" which is the ONLY issue that real fans are interested in.

Here here. Pusb. Sisu out sisu out. Haskell and co in.

However if we are to belive this is serious 460k this deal equals while ACL offer =450k without food or drinks sales which this deal if true might included but I think it takes more than a year to build a stadium

This is obviously not true, a deal will be thrashed out and coventry will play at the ricoh next season. Whoever wrote the original rumour is having a laugh if we could afford. 460k we would obviously. Pay the. Demanded. 400k which is. Cheaper. Stupid rumour. Pusb sisu out pusb sisu out.

06 May 2013 16:52:15
With Stoke looking to reduce their squad by a possible 10 players, they are looking to promote some youth players to the first team squad in order to reduce costs of signing new squad players. These include
Dale Eve 18
Florent Cuvelier 20
Matt Lund 22
James Alabi 18

06 May 2013 16:51:06
I keep hearing Tom Clarke may join his brother Nathan at Orient from Huddersfield. Genuinely hoping this doesn't happen as he was awful when we had him on loan but there's a lot of whispers about it happening.

06 May 2013 16:02:45
Alan Lee, Scott Arfield, Tom Clarke, Scott Kay, Isreal Johnson and Connor Loftus have all been released by Huddersfield Town

06 May 2013 15:59:26
Seems the big story with PNE fans at the moment is DONCASTER ROVERS are about to make an offer to their manager SIMON GRAYSON to take over at the Yorkshire club next season.

PNE fans have got wind that their club have had an approach and they will let him talk to rovers!

06 May 2013 17:22:45
wont happen Grayson is settled paul dickov is set to be named Donny manager just more rumours abt grayson

Simon Grayson is a white!

We do not want dickov and unproven manger who couldn't cut it in a very poor league 1 he's not very good

06 May 2013 15:17:48
Fulham to raid the Dutch league this summer, these targets include:
Viktor Fischer,
Toby Alderweireld,
Jordy Clasie,
Wilfried Bony,
Stefan de Vrij,
Nacer Chadli,
Douglas

Obviously I am not suggesting that we will sign all of these or that we are only targeting players from the Dutch league but it is Jol's favourite shopping area. Other targets include:
Fernando Amorebieta,
Jordan Ayew,
Andre Ayew,
Stekelenburg,
Papiss Cisse,
Yoann Gourcuff,
Bafetembi Gomis,
Derek Boateng,
Aleksandar Dragovic

In sorry to brake this to you but fulham aren't big enough to sign theses types of players! At best they could get 2 slightly high profile player looking for a stepping stone club (Douglas, chadli gomis are realistic) but other have been link with bayern man united etc. Compared to them you look as good as Oldham

More sub standard players hey bet they are all on a free?

I think these are all possible accept clasie as he is being tracked by big clubs and alderweid as clubs like Liverpool and arsenal want him. apart from them I am a very happy fulham fan to see these kind of players being linked with us. fischer may also not come though as he is wanted by Man U. I think only one out of Gomis and bony will be signed and cisse would be a good option, dragovic and amorebrieta would b great. gourcuff brilliant. the ayew brothers would come as a pair and I could see them coming. we need a keeper and stekelenberg would b great. douglas would also be good at y
The back with Chadli offering non- existent pace. de writ would also be a good young prospect in full back. on the whole I think quite a few of these deals could be done and if they do I will b very excited. COYW

Well that's two very different reactions. I think that we are big enough to attract most of these players particularly with Martin Jol's connections in Holland which will work in our favour.
As for the other view that they are sub standard, I grant you that not all of them are world class but most of them are extremely good and we are going to struggle to afford enough world class players to cover the positions we are weak in. We will have enough players and skill next season to finish in the top 8 I reckon

Top 8 I take it you mean the premier league because we are not safe yet. Berbatov will leave this summer as the rest of the fulham squad are not in his class.

Berbatov enjoys playingat Fulham as he knows he is top dog and all the fanslike him. I think he will stay if al-fayed gives jol some spending power and by looking at this rumour it looks like he will. If we get some players in to support berba we could be around were Everton are if we get the right players.

If only dempsey had stayed!

Dembele was a bigger loss than Dempsey. Wouldn't surprise me to see Dempsey leaving THFC this summer.

Dempseys goals were invaluable without them we would have struggled big time. Dembele a class act agreed.

Dembele is probably the best player fulham have had over the last decade. Strong, quick great on the ball and can score the odd goal a brilliant player. If he was playing with Berba we would be a force to be reckoned with.

Do you think there is any chance of Dempsey coming back to fulham or do you think that the fans don't like him and wouldn't want him back? Because when I went to watch Fulham v West Brom were we won 3-0 they were showing all of Dempsey's misses.

It wouldn't surprise me if it happened but I can't see him being top priority

Shrewsbury are set to sign Mark Duffy, Steven Schumacher, and Chris Robertson. We are close to agreeing a deal for Queen of the South striker Nicky Clarke.

Nicky Clarke is going to sign a contract with The Rangers.

At this rate you will have a team of 50 players.

Rubbish rumours.

Clarke to shrewsbury is a done deal but will go through on the 1st July

07 May 2013 02:24:42
Really that is why his agent and his Dad is talking to Rangers?Sandy Clark was a player as well. So there is no way Clark would turn down the chance playing for his boyhood heroes. And also has a host of championship teams wanting him, why would he want to play with Shrewsbury? What a joke this comment is, he will sign for Rangers. Wee Ally

Schuey won't be going to Shrews think he will be off to Rotherham

How on earth do you know who his dad is talking to? Making up meetings makes him no closer to signing for Rangers

06 May 2013 14:21:01
Hi Ed. any Worksop town rumours? {Ed001's Note - sorry mate, I don't know of any.}

06 May 2013 14:18:24
Charlton have made an initial offer for Leyton Orient player Moses Odobajo (he plays right back or wing so could be a replacement for the rumored to be departing Chris Solly, or could just be an investment as he's only 19)

Charlton couldn't afford Moses

06 May 2013 19:48:59
Solly, goes nowhere unless someone has some very deep pockets.

Bit of cash plus Wagstaff?

Moses is not good enough for the championship, he preformed in a very poor league one

Give Odobajo another season in his rightful position up front, and he will cost someone a lot of money. Not sure Charlton have over a million to spend! plus sell-on clauses etc?

He will more than likely end up at Fulham or QPR.

Wagstaff could not hack-it with us, when we had him on loan. Orient could do better.

He could play CShip but we won't sell him, he's a great prospect

Fantastic prospect. Ready for the Championship? No. Not yet.

And you think we don't have money

06 May 2013 14:11:15
Carlisle forward Lee Miller will turn down his one year contract offer, with other league one teams prepared to offer the forward a two year contract, a few rumours are Oldham, Walsall and Leyton Orient are all interested in uniteds top goal scorer

06 May 2013 16:02:52
miller wants to move close to his family so down south is to far and Oldham well nahh won't happen

Yes a person who want to stay close to Scotland will move further south. Very poor logic, I think Carlisle have offered him £2000 per week, with the turnover to wage rule being reduced to 60% next season then with 7 of the Carlisle team not counting towards the wage figure as they are home-grown then Carlisle could offer him more than these teams

06 May 2013 14:35:24
Bournemouth duo Matt Tubbs and Wes Fogdan are set to join Portsmouth on season long loans with view to permanent deals if Pompey get promoted. They will be joined by former cherries team mate Charlie Sheringham who will join Pompey on a free.

Oh dear, Matt and Wes obviously lack
ambition then, ah well, each to his own little Hell.

I can see PFC becoming a force to be reckoned with. If young Charlie is half as good as his father, then He'll be a star. PUP PPU

Probably not true anyway but I'm pretty shore we wouldn't let Foggy go.

Would be good tubbs a proven goal scorer in league 2 fogden also good

Cant see this happeneing but would be class signings! PUP

Harry Warburton

Tubbs and Fogdan will go to where the money is - not Pompey and young Sheringham is not good enough. let's start being realistic and look at some good L2 battlers. PUP

Matt Spring has been offered a contract by former team Leyton Orient, he may go as he is yet to accept terms at Wycombe.

Too much water under the bridge for this to happen, Spring criticised the club for not offereing him a contract last season, simply won't be happening.

That and he's 33 now.

Slade's looking to the future.

Would love Spring to come back.
He was pure quality. Orient have never been able to come-up with an adequate replacement since he left.

Well this is rubbish Matt Spring was signed from Leyton Orient on a 2 year deal, so what terms has he got to accept at Wycombe? None?

06 May 2013 14:06:11
Sheffield wednesday duo defender Julian Bennett and goalkeeper Nicky weaver are to join league one side Walsall in the summer, their current contracts at Wednesday next month and both players have not had a squad number this season

Wednesday will attempt to sign Stephen hunt in the summer

06 May 2013 12:42:41
Huddersfield Town:
Ins: James Vaughan (£1m), Ebanks Blake (Free), Grant Mccann (Free), Nakhi Wells (£1m) & Christophe Berra (Free).

(Town have already confirmed the signing of leftback Jake Carroll from St Patricks in ROI. )

Outs:

Peter Clarke (£450k), James Spencer (£170k), Alan Lee (Free), Scott Arfield (Free) & Anton Robinson (£200k)

Lee Novak will be offered a new 1 year deal.

06 May 2013 14:37:43
Anton has done his ligaments so he won't be fit until nearly Christmas

Peter clarke won't leave, maybe spencer, alan lee and arfield have been released

Anton Robinson is out for nine months with a cruciate knee injury then out of contract next year, who is going to pay more than diddly squat for him.

Vaughan - more than likely
Ebanks-Blake - will fail a medical test as he's injured
Grant Mccann - Doubt he'll come to Huddersfield tbh
Nahki Wells - good player, but we can get better for that money
Berra - again, I think we could get better

Clarke - captain, and will not leave
Spencer - will probably leave, hopefully for a higher price
Alan Lee - left
Scott Arfield - left
Anton Robinson - 200k would be a reyt price to sell him! dreadful player
Tom Clarke - has also left

Peter Clarke. having a laugh

Berra would be a great signing, that would probably signal the end for Joel Lynch and possibly Peter Clarke. Our goal against have been attrocious this season and something has to chsnge even though Clarke has given his all, another season at this level is maybe beyond him and Lynch for whatever reason has taken his bat home.

Peter Clarke for 450k? Is that some sort of sick joke?

Berra? do us all a favour! Clarke isn't good enough but he makes Berra look rubbish, have you watched him play?

06 May 2013 11:53:42
Cardiff are set to sign three players in hope of staying up next season, they are thought to be Darren Bent of Aston Villa and Reading duo Hal Robson-Kanu and defender Morrison.

I can guarantee if you sign Robson-Kanu and Morrison you will not stay up

Robson kanu will help you stay up, the above fan hasn't a clue, kanu has been immense, morro just needs more experience

I can guarantee you won't sign HRK or Morro.

HRK would be a good signing for Cardiff I think, although I am a Reading fan and hope he stays! Morrison would be a weird one though as I think he needs a full season of Championship level football, which he will get at Reading. Alex Pearce would be a more sensible option for Cardiff, if he doesn't Rodgers at Liverpool, and he is available on a free.

06 May 2013 13:58:49
A host of league one clubs are after mansfield striker Matt Green who has scored 40 goals in 60 apps. These clubs include: notts county, Tranmere, PNE, Mk Dons and walsall

Love to have him surely he Will pick Mk over the others

06 May 2013 15:55:17
Hope Mansfield come up with an improved contract and he chooses to stay with them. they have the system and the manager to get the best out of him.

Why would he obviously chose Mk over the others? Walsall, Orient and Tranmere are all pushing for promotion too

If it is between these clubs I would expect him to move to Notts County as he is in Nottinghamshire already

06 May 2013 17:54:37
Hope he joins the Dons.

Sure he'd choose mk over them all

He would either wanna go to mk or tranmere got more of a chance of getting up

Haha! The reasons he would choose MK over the others:

1) Better Stadium
2) Better Style of Football
3) Continued Promotion Push each season compared to inconsistency (relegation battle, promotion, mid-table, etc. )

MKARMY!

Stadium so quiet lacks atmosphere due to no fans.

failed promotion every season.

2 things why he shouldn;t pick mk dons.

stadium half finished another reason and oh yea your team doesn;t play fluent football anymore. lmao

MK are going backwards, he needs a club with ambition, not one that is content with perennial water treading in League 1.

He should join somebody else.

The dons are not in decline, we had an horrendous run of injuries and due to having a small squad we couldn't maintain our challenge, but we play the best brand of football outside the premiership and with a few additions we will be mounting a serious bid for promotion next season, Matt green could be a good acquisition if he can make the step up to league 1.

Mks ground would nice if they could finish it off but having a poor fanbase it won't happen. Also walsall beat mk twice last season, and we slipped up just short of the play offs. It's about wages these days, so mk will be his first choice

Green already spoke with Kiwomya and will sign for Nott's in June after his holiday done deal. COYP.

None of the teams he's linked with have been promoted recently its not just the dons

Just trying to understand how a half finished stadium makes the club any less attractive to someone who has been playing in a stadium that has its capacity reduced due to a condemned stand - lol

For the posters information Stadium MK will be completely finished this summer.

And decline means to go back - The Dons have finished in the top ten of League One for the last four seasons.

". due to having a small squad. "

You hit the nail on the head my friend. Very foolhardy having so few players. Putting all your eggs in one basket in terms of our squad is simply asking for trouble. The fact we can't cope without one or two players like Gleeson or Chadwick shows we're a one trick pony. Can't see it changing either as the noises from the chairman and manager are both suggesting we'll have even less money again next season. So yeah, we are going backwards.

No ambition = disillusioned fans.

"Stadium so quiet lacks atmosphere due to no fans.

. failed promotion every season. "

Sadly, this is very true. Place is like a morgue and our crowds are dwindling, slowly but surely.

"League One for the last four seasons. "

My point exactly. LEAGUE 1.

Water treading at it's finest. I can't see the point of finishing the stadium either, it's not like we're going to fill it! The only way it might sell out would be a home tie against a top 5 Premier League side in the cups or maybe, just maybe the RWC match (es). It's a white elephant unless we can get it two thirds full each home game. Otherwise we seem to have spent millions for nothing. Why can't everyone see this?

07 May 2013 17:18:05
Going to Birmingham City

Add Bristol City to the League 1 list

This is so funny according to his agent World In Motion there is a lot of interest amongst Championship clubs. The goal tally is actually 57 in 85 games

I don't understand why you think Notts can't be contenders this season yes we underachieved and just because walsall orient and tranmere pushed for promotion last season does not mean they will this PNE have underachieved this year and people still vow them for contenders next if we get green and a few more of the players we have been linked with also with some of the talented youngsters we have coming up like speiss waite nangle tempest and thompson there's no reason why Notts can't challenge for promotion

07 May 2013 19:02:34
i can't see any point in spending money to finish the stadium when all the areas that r finished now do get nowhere near full even in a play off semi there were just as many away fans than home fans pity really nice stadium and comfy seats

Stadium:MK is a white elephant. A completely pointless venture for a THIRD TIER club. We need promotion for it to be worthwhile.

It's a dreadful waste of money without at least 2nd tier footie.

But then everyone "loves" it.

It's the white elephant in the room!

06 May 2013 13:57:53
Oxford's Alfie Potter is subject to a transfer bid from Leeds United, after an impressive haul of 11 goals from the wing. Oxford will be looking to bring in Joel Grant of Wycombe to replace him.

Potter is a great you winger, could fit nicely

Yeah right will that happen. Leeds better put in a grand offer

06 May 2013 20:27:17
I think a grand will take him to leeds

You wish. If we are comparing it to other transfers I'd say he's worth at least 200k

Only reason people still post rumours on him is because he scored against Liverpool doesn't mean he's as good as what people remember him for

06 May 2013 13:55:46
Matt Richards and Peter Leven are being linked with a move to Cheltenham after being released by Shrewsbury and Oxford respectively.

06 May 2013 13:54:41
Cheltenham are keen to sign defender Chris Robertson from Preston. The centre back was placed on the transfer list by Simon Grayson.

06 May 2013 20:52:59
they may get him on a free transfer or for a small fee

06 May 2013 13:53:31
Jem Karacan reckons Alex McCarthy is worth 15-20m and has rubbished speculation linking him with a move to his native Turkey, with Galatasaray.

In other news we've been heavily linked with Jacob Mellis of barnsley with a fee around 750k - 1.5m

and Notts County's Alan Judge who has rejected a new contract offer and is available on a Bosman Free

06 May 2013 13:45:42
finland national manager mixu paatelainen who also has experience of managing in the spl is bein courted by drfc, paatelainen is showing interest in taking the job owing to the boards ambition, and the length of the contract being offered, representatives are due to meet on wednesday in edinburgh where paatelainen is currently based.

06 May 2013 13:38:37
Mick McCarthy has told Michael Chopra and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas that they can leave as Ipswich look to negotiate fees to sign new players.

Chopra has been linked with a move to Millwall before and Emmanuel-Thomas will gain interest from lots of Championship clubs.

06 May 2013 19:04:55
Reckon JET will go to Palace. Holloway is an admirer and JET may wish to team up with his friend Y. Bolasie.

Don't want Chopra. Too old.

06 May 2013 13:30:41
Burnley to sign Wade Elliott back from Birmingham on a one year deal

Not a cat in hells chance too old

06 May 2013 19:04:45
Look south for his next destination. Very south.

No were not!

There is NO WAY that Wade is going to Bournemouth; Eddie Howe couldn't manage him at Burnley so he sold him to B'ham City.

There's no way he's going to now sign him for B'mouth.

Its not that eddie couldn't manage him at burnley he was trying to lower the average age of the squad and wade was 1 of the unlucky but older ones to leave

06 May 2013 13:22:36
matty blair coming to portsmouth, any views on the player?

Fastest player I've seen at York but poor first touch and can't cross, at all! Good knack of being in the right place at the right time though

Well least he's got pace lol could do with some good crosses though to the TANK up front big Pat.

Ok cheers and is it true he was one of your better players this season?

06 May 2013 11:52:54
wes morgan too cardiff wants to play in the pl and cardiff need an experienced center half just in case hudson gets injured

watch this space

He won't Leave if Leicester win playoffs

He won't leave Leicester at all even if Leicester don't win the play offs

06 May 2013 18:25:10
i agree that IF and that is a big if Leicester do win the play-offs he won't leave but I don't think he would stay for another season in the championship

06 May 2013 11:52:09
Ipswich Town to complete the quadruple signing of Cole Skuse on a free from Bristol City, Harry Forrester on a free from Brentford, Alan Judge on a free from Notts County and Dwight Gayle from Peterborough for £1. 25 million by the end of this week.

From a very good and reliable source.

I might be wrong but I am sure you can't sign players until the 1st June.

You will not get Gayle for £1. 25 million he will cost much more than that

You might agree to sign Skuse, but the deal can't be done until his contract with Bristol City expires. unless you fancy paying us a fee :)

06 May 2013 16:04:43
The summer transfer window began once clubs had concluded their final domestic fixture of the 2012-13 season, but many transfers will only officially go through on 1 July because the majority of player contracts finish on 30 June.

Ipswich will most likely be able to get a lot of these players signed now, as they are soon to be free agents.

You can sign them and get everything agreed whenever but they can't join untill the start of the transfer window

Skuse and Forrester will be able to join before the 1st June because they are out of contract

Gayle will cost lot more than that

Dwight gayle and Alan judge have all but signed at the riverside

Good luck getting Gayle for less than £2m

06 May 2013 17:41:15
its 1st July isn't it {Ed003's Note - yes}

06 May 2013 20:29:35
'Good luck for getting Gayle for less than 2m'
Good luck in league 1

Posh haven't got a pot to p*** in they will certainly sell for less than then 2m.

Posh won't sell cheap and have not since dmac took over

Forrester has already said if Brentford win promotion he's staying at Brentford so your sources are incorrect as we are in the play-off final. Get your facts right first

I think Gayle has got 4 years (at least) left on his contract and he is a bona fide Championship player. I reckon DMAC would sooner keep him for a year to see if his goals get us out of this division and if not he may let him go next year for 3m+

To my mind he is better than Craig Mackail-Smith was and he went for 3.5m so get your wallets ready this boy is going to cost whoever wants him. imo

Gayle is signing for Ipswich for a fee of 1m plus add ons. Gutted to be losing him.

Have got a pot. Ran off a big profit last year and dmac already said considering putting small injection in

Gayle for £2million! If any of you commenting knew how Posh has been run you would know that £2mil will NOT get Gayle, your "source" is clearly telling porkies

Skuse to Ipswich has gained real momentum in Bristol. Its sounding likely.

He certainly won't be signing a BCFC contract.

Gale will not be going and especially for 2 million,

06 May 2013 12:33:56
Joel grant set to sign for Scunthorpe in june whereas mark duffy will stay at Scunthorpe despite offers form other clubs.

06 May 2013 12:33:12
Interest in the recently released Peter Leven by Kilmarnock, Ross County and Rangers, with all three offering supposed 2 year deals.

06 May 2013 12:08:39
Marek Stech of Yeovil Town is going to make a summner move to his local club Bournemouth. Fee in excess of 750k expected to be paid by the newly promoted club.

Stech is from Czech Republic

I extremely doubt this considering we have just bought Ryan Allsop to be our number 1 keeper

Your dreaming, we don't need him.

Yeovil in playoff final. (writing this whilst swindon v brentford are playing). and looks like we have brentford in final. a winable game for yeovil

What? We have Allsop, Jalal & Flahavan. All good & worthy of 1st team. No chance, no truth.

He was terrible when on loan but we would not spend that amount on a goal keeper when we have 3 already

Stech lives in bournmouth

Can't see it. We have Ryan Allsop and can't see stech wanting to sit on the bench

Considering afcb have already had Stech on loan and he conceded 5 goals in his ONLY game. Don't think so

07 May 2013 10:02:45
Won't leave to a smaller club

Stech is better than allsop, but he won't be going to bournemouth as bigger and better teams will buy him if yeovil fail to gain promotion. Birmingham city were looking to buy him in january as were wolves, however that seems unlikely as they are now a league one team. Stech is a championship keeper and won't go to a team like bournemouth who will probably be a league one team again after next season!

Nah he's happy at huish

06 May 2013 12:16:14
any Barnsley transfer targets you know about ed

Aren't we after leigh griffiths from wolves, he's outa contract and been on loan at hibernian for 2 season's

Blackpool defender Ashley Eastham, who has spent the latter half of the season at League 1 Bury. Out of contract in July & will be the Tykes first deal of the summer.

I think we have better than him at the club, get O, GRADY, then we must have two big quick defenders in, this a must, plus a keeper

06 May 2013 10:09:35
ed, do you know of any Blackpool transfer targets? {Ed003's Note -not yet, have to wait to see who is staying first }

06 May 2013 11:29:32
Ipswich Town hoping to sell Michael Chopra in order to free up funds to sign Kevin Doyle from Wolves.

Doyle is going to Celtic.

06 May 2013 11:24:19

06 May 2013 11:22:08
Millwall are having a big cash injection this summer, FACT.

Lee Tomlin, Albert Adomah, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake are some of the targets

That is not a fact , the real fact is that Millwall aregoing down next season!

07 May 2013 14:49:59
No new money at the Den mate, that's why Kenny done a runner, FACT!

06 May 2013 11:19:56
Barnes off to Derby post playoffs. Surplus to requirements if Albion stay in Championship - misdemeanours (2 sendings off this season - missed 10 games) reason why Gus has decided to look elsewhere. Judged not "up to" premiership if Albion go up. Clough is keen on player, kept contact with agent and is seen as a done deal.
Source - Various

40 goals in 120 games. Not phenomenal, not sure how this transfer would go down with Derby fans.

How much would the transfer be? less than 500k surely.

Personally I think there are better strikers out there for Derby this summer.

1 in 3 is not a bad return

06 May 2013 11:17:42
Hartlepool United Goalkeeper Scott Flinders to hold talks with Rotherham United with the view to signing a two year deal with the newly promoted league 1 outfit.

I beleive he's from south yorks

He's from wickersley and this rumour is true

He is he's from rotherham

Shame as he is under contract at hartlepool for 1 more year so cheque books out boys!

06 May 2013 11:17:42
Tottenham to bid for Moutinho and Damiao for the third straight window. Levy will pay up to 50 million for the pair!

06 May 2013 11:17:22
Cardiff ins:
Russell £2m
Stevens £2m
Brayford £3.5m
Huth £3.8m
Finnbogasson £2.5m
Dirk Kuyt Free
Andy King £3m (depending on Leicesters promotion)

Cardiff outs:
Kevin McNaughton free to Aberdeen
Rudy Gestede loan to Swindon
Heidar Helgusson (retired)
Stephen McPhail (becoming coach)
Filip Kiss £150k Barnsley
Declan John loan to Newport
Ben Nugent loan to Peterborough
Etien Velikonja loan to Barnsley

Huth, you must be joking, he'd never leave

When you say Huth I assume you mean Robert Huth. You having a laugh. Ideas above station seem to come to mind again

Don't think so Andy king is going no where especially for only 3m

Dare I mention Jordan Rhodes.

I honestly think a lot of our young players will be loaned out to either Newport or a league 1 team they're that goo and the reason why I said Newport because obvs its only down the road

07 May 2013 12:59:36
Swindon town what a season it has been! the two games with brentford what might have been if we won the first leg 1-0 & to lose it like we did when we got to pens their did not seem to be a belef that we could go on and win but the sending off was crule the linsman did not see the push on byrne in the first place. we should have gone up automactic. as for next season it will be a real struggle the new board have no money to take this club forward the Budget will be poor & players will leave who are out of contract. the players coming in will be younger members of top clubs & with youth it will be a weak team who will be good to get midtable. the last three years have be great but weather we been good enough in the championship who knows but it would have been great to lose at wembley

07 May 2013 14:53:58
everton interested in signing Wes foderingham for 2.5 million as he is a very good goalkeeper and swindon signing scott loach as cover

07 May 2013 16:30:42
Don't think Kevin will go tho

06 May 2013 11:16:12
Brighton will have an overhaul of the squad if they achieve promotion. Gus Poyet wants 5 or 6 new faces to ensure they have a chance of staying up.

He wants Roger Johnson to add experience alongside Matthew Upson and Wayne Bridge. This will enable Gordon Greer and one other defender to be sold.

He wants Granero to return to the Premier League to play alongside Liam Bridcutt. He also wants Nathan Chalobah and Lucas Piazon on loan from Chelsea.

Ashley Barnes and Will Hoskins will be sold and replaced and his targets include Charlie Austin and Adam Le Fondre.

These sound realistic but it wouldn't be enough to keep us up though and I would be a shame to see the end of our skipper Gordon Greer but I can't wait to see the back of barnes

Roger Johnson is total rubbish! Would prefer to keep Greer tbh

06 May 2013 11:03:08
If Norwich go down they will sack Chris Hughton after his negative style of football has put us in this position. Will look at managers who play attacking football, Gus Poyet would be a prime candidate.

Poyet won't go to Norwich

06 May 2013 14:07:39
Poyet wouldn't want the job, same as when he rejected reading earlier in the season.

Would much rather have hughton next season than poyet

06 May 2013 10:58:49
Tottenham soon to announce the signing of Eriksen from Dutch champions Ajax.

06 May 2013 10:57:35
PNE outs:
Chris Beardsly-Stevenage
Andy Procter- Accrington Stanley
Cris Robertson- Shrewsberry

06 May 2013 10:54:46
Reading ins:

Alan Judge-free
Luke Murphy- £3m
Jose Fonte- £1.5m
Nick Powell- loan
Danny Fox- £800,000

Reading Outs:

Noel Hunt- Free
Simon Church- Free
Ian Harte- Free
Jay Tabb- Free
Mikele Leigertwood- £500,000
Alex Pearce- Free

I'd be delighted if all of that happened. I can't see us getting Nick Powell however I can see him going to a promoted side like Hull on loan

06 May 2013 10:45:03
It's not United that owe Partick Thistle compensation, it's McNamara himself for signing a new deal in Dec then leaving in Jan. You don't need lawyers to tell you the obvious. Compensation is DUE!

06 May 2013 10:44:38
Burnley set to sign Sam Baldock for a knock down price of 600,000 after BC relegation

06 May 2013 11:23:52
City will want the same amount they paid for him

06 May 2013 14:02:12
we wouldn't spend 600k, we haven't got that sort of money, unless we sell Austin

We don't have a massive amount of money but i'm certain we can afford £600k

06 May 2013 10:29:33
Scott Wagstaff to Notts County

06 May 2013 10:25:09
MK Dons are attempting to sign Mansfield striker Matt Green who is available on a free transfer this summer. Green has had talks with Mansfield but has not been offered a contract.

Is he any good?

06 may 2013 18:02:47
any good? 40 goals in 60 apps this season sound good to you. he's just who we need!

06 May 2013 09:53:27
tottenham are close to striking a deal for leon osman

How much? 6m reportedly

06 May 2013 09:51:17
hull city will not be signing the keeper from fulham everyone is expecting. steve bruce is closing in on a deal to land marc schwarzer who wants first team football with the world cup coming up and martin jol wants to replace him as no. 1.

Who do you think Jol will replace him with?COYW

Swapping number 1s I like it

06 May 2013 12:19:45
He is looking at Kirkland but I don't he's good enough for Premier league

06 May 2013 23:24:51
He is "rumoured" to be looking at Kirkland. because he doesn't like the price for Stockdale

06 May 2013 09:50:58
pompey to sign 4 players on tuesday. as a fan I can't wait for the season already

You can't sign anyone yet.

06 May 2013 09:49:52
thomas sorensen will complete a move to ipswich in the coming days.

No Way since Begovic is leaving, WE need Butland and Sorenson

Completely unbelievable. Sorensen wouldn't go to the Championship for any team

Don't need him any way

06 May 2013 09:48:35
liverpool will sell defender martin skrtel this summer to fund moves for joleon lescott and fc twente defender douglas.

Douglas will come to Fulham if anywhere in England. Only reason he is not a Fulham player already is Newcastle throwing a spanner in the works.

Who would choose Fulham over Liverpool?

06 May 2013 23:25:37
Douglas

06 May 2013 09:46:15
aswad thomas to sign for oufc for an approxamite fee of 50k

06 May 2013 09:41:57
Southampton have deals nearly agreed for two players. One is Victor Ruiz of Valencia

Dunno who the other one is. So I won't make it up ;)

You don't even know that you just read that in the a daily {Ed034's Note - and that's how he knows it. he has seen a rumour and posted it for those who have not. please try and not attach posters for no reason in the future

I really hope we get Ruiz he looks quality. I hope we get these deals sewn up early in the summer too and ship out whoever necessary. We need this squad to gel, pre season will be vital.

06 May 2013 09:41:54
chelsea have upped there interest in robert lewendowski after his club dortmund basically willed them on into bidding to keep him out of bayerns grasp. real madrid could yet enter the race with ronaldo and higuains future up I the air.
ronaldo has openly admitted he would love to move back to utd who seem willing to find a way of funding the deal.
rooney is a certainty to leave this summer with psg favourites although real madrid may ask for him as part of the ronaldo deal which would be the most talked about transfer deaL ever

Ronaldo off to Chelsea with Mourinho.

06 May 2013 14:03:35
we won't sign Elliott, too old for Dyche

Tom Pope has said he wants to see out his career at Port Vale

Yes i'm sure he has stated that he would love to stay at port vale for the next 10 years or so and finish his career in league 2. Course he said that! {Ed003's Note - league 2?}

Popey is a life long Vale fan, Playing the best football of his career and scoring goals for the football team he loves, why would he move? its not like its a dream move to championship relegation strugglers Burnley.

Burnley finished 11th, not exactly relegation strugglers. And he has said he'd sign a lifelong contract at Vale if they offered it to him, from a very close source.

arsenal and liverpool to do battle for asmir begovic

Reina going nowhere

Perhaps Reina isn't but Begovic is a better keeper and drops far fewer howlers. Would expect him to go for upwards of £12million though.

06 May 2013 23:27:14
Begovic wants european football

real madrid will tie upthe permanent transfer of sao paolos young midfielder casmeiro on a permanent deal befor shipping him out on loan to swansea city

06 May 2013 09:34:01
Huddersfield Town are looking to sign wingers' Adam Hammill (wolves) and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing (Peterborough)

Highly doubt we'll go for Hamill, was dire when we had him on loan.

06 May 2013 09:32:19
Reading are interested in a £1.5m move for Peterborough's Dwight Gayle who they would prefer over Billy Sharp as he is cheaper and younger. They are also keen on Swansea's Alan Tate who is out of favour with the Welsh side with the Berkshire side set to lose Alex Pearce and Kaspars Gorkss.

Hope to god this Gayle move happens as he is top quality in the championship. would not want tate as their are much better and younger centre halves out there for back up for Morro and mapps

You're dreaming if you think Posh will sell for that,

Pretty sure Kaspars Gorkss was sold to Wolves in January?

06 May 2013 09:28:45
Huddersfield Town are looking to sign Wolves winger Adam Hammill on a two year deal. Hammill had a loan spell at Town earlier this season and played some of his best football under current Town manager Mark Robins

Right and wrong, Hammill was at Town, did okay apart from an off field problem but Robins wasn't at Town then, robins knows him from a brief period when they were both at Barnsley. Might happen but can't see a fee being paid.

Think he might be talking about when they were both at Barnsley pal!

It is rumoured that Jon Taylor will only stay at Shrewsbury Town if they sign Mark Duffy from Scunthorpe.

Graham Turner has been an admirer of Duffy and Duffy has close connections with the Shrewsbury players.

2 strikers will sign for Shrewsbury Town this week, Queen of the South's Nicky Clark and Nathan Delfouneso from Blackpool (Delfouneso will be on loan). {Ed001's Note - he was on loan at Blackpool, he is a Villa player.}

06 May 2013 10:22:38
Shrewsbury are signing around £10m worth of players. Who makes these up?
Nathan Delfouneso I ask you!
Duffy has offers from a few other higher and bigger clubs.

06 May 2013 14:10:18
Duffy just signed a new contract at S####horpe

I think Shrewsbury are in by far the weakest position to get Nicky Clark, he wants to stay close to Scotland does he not and he can play in England get the same wage and not even have to move, think that leaves Carlisle, Sheffield united and rangers the 3 favourite to sign him.

Get a rival winger or I will leave. that's logical

QPR want to make Peterborough's Dwight Gayle their first summer signing.

Source: Fulham & Hammersmith Chronicle

How much will he cost?

A lot but can afford it

3-5 million

How much are we talking? They signed him for half a mil so around 2 mil. Or more?

Guestimate £3m, very long contract at Posh, so won't be cheap. Better scoring record at Championship level than Mackail-Smith, younger than Mackail-Smith, but no proven long-term track record yet. Might be sensational next season, but could flop. Ran Cardiff and Watford ragged, but still tends to disappear in some games. Exemplary attitude, safer bet than Paul Taylor was.

06 May 2013 23:29:10
Could be the end of his career. but at least he'll be able to retire young (and rich)

I don't think it will happen seems to want to play football more than the money at the mo, remember last season dag and Redbridge sent him out on loan, ofcourse money talks but would be surprised if he leaves to a team he will probly be on the bench, be odds on for the golden boot in league 1, unless dmac thinking of selling the club he won't go for less than 5 million {Ed003's Note - That is presuming dmac is still their?}

Southampton are close to signing Valencia's Victor Ruiz and are very close to signing an unnamed player also from La Liga.

Bailey

McCarthy has told chopra and Jay Emmanual-Thomas that they are up for sale

Id take them both at Hillsborough

07 May 2013 11:46:25
I hope chops gets it together again, I'll get shot down for this but he was as good as Defoe but too much baggage to maintain that level.

06 May 2013 08:41:26
a strong source from inside the club suggests league 2 top goal scorer tom pope and bournemouths charlie daniels will both be on their way to vicarage this summer

Loanford are under a transfer embargo until September.

Daniels is going nowhere buddy.

Joe mason won't go to bournemouth

Lee gregory of fc halifax town is in talks with a few league sides over a summer move

Henrik Ojamma of Motherwell to sign for Leeds, Week after Next

Yeovil's Paddy Madden to sign for Derby county 400k + Connor Doyle & O'Brein on loan for the Season

06 May 2013 09:05:05
Adam Le Fondre is 2/1 to join Leeds in summer

Paddy madden is going to leeds for 500k this is what I've heard from an inside source.

Conor Doyle will be on a free agent, not on loan. Mark O'Brien will not be fit until half way through the season.

Paddy Madden to Derby would be a good move as Derby have one of the best and youngest midfields in the championship with the likes of Hendrick, Hughes, Ward, Bryson. just don't have a goalscorer, to take them to the next level.

Will Grigg, Tom Pope, Paddy Madden have all been linked with Derby because Clough excels in the transfer market from lower leagues and all have excellent goal scoring statistics.

Le Fondre won't sign for leeds he'll ho to the premier league again he's too good

That would make the transfer confusing as Carlisle are eligible to 50% of the proceeds of any future transfers.

I wouldnnt be shokcked by la fondre to leeds, or by other reading players. brain has been scouting them all for years, and is bound to want some of them back, and they all love him, plus it would appear leeds have a little money to back it up

Looks good does ojamma

afcb may well swoop for roger johnson as he grew up in wimborne although born elsewhere.

Is that Johnson of Wolves? He's on £35 grand a week! Good luck!

Well you ain't gota be an person 2 say he ain't gona get that anywhere else in div 1. so will av 2 take big pay cut

06 May 2013 07:55:05
If Norwich do go down, Ricky van Wolfswinkel WILL still join as there is no relegation clause in his contract. However, he will only play 1/2 a season in the championship and will be sold to a Premier League or foreign top flight team in January 2014 for the same price that Norwich bought him (£8.5 million).

No chance that norwich will be relegated so the situation is not worth going into. i'm sure come the last day of the season they will only need to win to guarantee they stay up. And we all know they can do that. Just like last time.

1 win will definately be enough. 1 draw could be enough too in my opinion.

No chance norwich will be relegated, are your living in the real world. after wigan win against swansea this week they will go above us on goal averidge. and will only need a win against villa. newcasle will pick up 3 points against q p r. so say hello to the championship for next season.

06 May 2013 07:53:39
peter vincenti, jake hyde, neil trotman and casey thomas will all sign for argyle by the end of this week

Wolves interested in oldhan forward matt smith with oldham after taking leigh griffiths.

06 May 2013 09:51:43
Take him he's awful

Would suit Saunders style well
From a Wednesday fan

Smith is free to leave and Bolton are the front runners for him at the moment so he won;t stay in league one.

Loads of Championship interest and your not anymore so you have no chance.

Oldham fan here, agree with first reply. You're signing a striker that simply cannot score goals. Good riddance

Alfie Potter to the Dons. NA looking to try and play some football so wants a play maker with Cummings and M King zimmering it round the M25 to Oxford as part of the deal. Alfie is another returning legend.

Absolutely 100% incorrect and made-up

Just to let you know alfie has just been taken up on hos contract to stay at oxford plus you could'nt afford him anyway

06 May 2013 13:19:32
So he's been linked to championship and league 1 clubs, and just signed a new deal at OUFC to sign for AFC for another relegation battle in front of a handful of people.
Offer us 150k and you can't talk to him
