Middlesbrough to replace Rhys Williams, who will be sold for Southampton or crystal palace for anything between £3.5m and £5m, with ex Celticc man Thomas rogne who Mowbray signed during his brief stint as Celtic manager

Saints are buying abroad

Struggling to see why we would want another championship standard defender when we already have issues in that position. Saints need a quality injection at the back not quantity.

Southampton have bigger aspirations than him living in a dreamland coming from a saints fan he's a quality player with a bright future would be a koup for a club of this size tbf

He will be RB cover

Likely Stoke Ins

Bentley and de Santos (freebies)

Hoilett and Cornelius ( 5 million total cost )

BUT More investment if we move Crouch and Jones

Clearly Stoke now determined to reduce teams average age.

We need bring in some young players through the acadamy.

I think you mean Di Santo and he is most likely to go WBA. I doubt we will get Bentley either I'm thinking West Ham or WBA. Hughes has yet to decide whether he will pursue Cornelius and he alone would cost us 5mil.

Yeah we desperately need to reduce the teams average age from oap to young and fresh

Replacing the old with Hughes failures!

I think someone like jonjo shelvey would be a good signing.

Jonjo Shelvey is useless

Gary Hooper to Stoke for £9 million

Hooper is not worth 9mil he's worth 6 max

08 Jun 2013 22:05:54
Goal keeper Gary woods will be joining Bristol city on a pre season trial.

08 Jun 2013 22:00:41
Shrewsbury will sign recently released, Bolton winger Gregg Wylde. His two teammates Tom Eaves (who was on loan last season) and Alex McQuade (who has recently signed) will both try to persuade him to join. COYB

He's going back to the world famous Scottish Premier League. He can't hack it in England, he even failed to make an impression at Bury.

It will either be that big club caled Aberdeen or Motherwell.

Mind you the Scottish Premier league is about the same standard as League One

09 Jun 2013 16:01:39
wylde was good for Bury, he just was a Bolton player so a lot of Bury fans took against because of that

decent direct left winger/right inside forward

Wylde is not decent, he was awful on his loan spell at bury. the guy had no hunger or desire to win balls or chase the ball. he was lazy. put him back in the scottish league

Bury fans never gave him a chance!

No we did give him a chance and he was poor. the guy was not interested at all.

Wylde was awful at Bury and yes he did get a chance

Released Watford winger mark yeates could be returning to Colchester for a 3rd time

09 Jun 2013 17:07:52
this isn't a true rumour Joe Dunne said he doesn't want him back as we are already intrested in a winger as I guess Sanchez Watt

Mark Yeates didn't play as a winger under Zola. I don't know where he prefers to play, but he played as a central midfielder this season and didn't embarrass himself there so I think he could definitely do a job for Colchester in the middle of the park.

Yeates should be played at cm now. he's double the player there than when he played on the wing

Will be an outstanding performer IMO if any team gets him in League 1

He has said previously that his preferred position is CM

08 Jun 2013 21:43:05
bury have not yet made an offical approach to mk dons about ryan lowe but are expected to in the coming weeks, bury also to sign calvin zola from burton albion when his contract runs out.

Please let this be true so we can get rid if him while somebody is willing to take him.

09 Jun 2013 09:06:18
Lowe or Zola?

I would say he is on about Lowe as I would say Burton fans like me are happy with Zola

Great news for all burton fans, robbie weir staying at club, as burton refuse to except offers from league one and Scotland.

Lowe. Would like to see him gone while someone is willing to have him.

Lowe, because every Burton fan wants to see Zola stay.

More news about Liam noble of carlisle united! My uncle works at Bristol city ground staff heard his name mentioned through the week there! They are 100 percent looking for a cm and we could get him cheap of carlisle! Been looking at his stats and some clips of him looks a decent young player!

Any carlisle fans heard anything about him leaving?

He won't be cheap considering by the looks of it they are 3 clubs after him, even though he has 1 year left as he is under 23 so won't be free next season ether, expect £300 thousand for him,

500k at least

500k is over pricing, 300k is a push

08 Jun 2013 21:34:47
Matt Phillips will have talks with Cardiff after the two clubs agreed a fee watch this space!

Also to replace matt Phillips cristiano Ronaldo is in talks with blackpool after those two clubs agreed a fee. Well this is as likely as what you are saying

Why wouldn't Phillips want to go to Cardiff we are Premier League

Why would Bristol City get him cheaply.

I assume they mean cheap by comparrison to buying from a higher division. I am sure the clubs will find a happy medium on price if there is a deal to be done.

08 Jun 2013 21:36:15
bury are almost certain sure they will sign calvin zola from burton albion on a two year deal.

He will be signing for Carlisle upon Greg Abbott's return from holiday.

The deal has already been agreed and he will sign a 2 year deal at Brunton Park.

08 Jun 2013 20:57:44
MK Dons will announce Enoch Showunmi as a signing in the coming weeks.

My pulse is racing.

NOT.

:- (

09 Jun 2013 10:10:45
showmethemoney! lol can remember him in his Luton days, worst footballer I've ever seen

A player that scored 2 goals last season, just what we need.

Showumni? We'd get more goals from a drunken hedgehog in plastic bag.

More silly season bulls**t.

:- (

Bournemouth have had a bid believed to be around £3,000,000 rejected for Charlie Austin

Dream on 6 million at the very least due to his age and how he has progressed at turf moor. come on Eddie you know he is worth it.

Once Charlie Austin may have being worth £6 mill but not anymore.

I have heard Bournmouth are currently the top bidder for him but its nowhere near the figure Burnley want.
But a realisation by Burnley that he is a top scorer but may also be damaged goods so if there is no bidding war as they hoped and Bournemouth are sitting there with the cash and its very possible

Damaged goods what do you mean

08 Jun 2013 20:33:55
Roberto Mancini to be appointed as Fenerbache manager.

08 Jun 2013 20:28:33
Bristol rovers to sign Charlton Athletic winger Scott Wagstaff

Joining Gillingham

09 Jun 2013 14:18:41
He's a good lad I hope it works out for him.

I can see him going to Bristol rather than Gillingham if i'm honest.

08 Jun 2013 19:37:27
Bristol City looking to sign former Manchester United defender Frederic Veseli, who has just been released from the Red Devils.

08 Jun 2013 17:15:02
Bristol City player Ryan Taylor is in talks with Leeds United after Brian McDermott expressed an interest.

Leeds sign Taylor from us please

He can't be as bad as Michael brown so I woultned mind if we did a trade deal brown for Taylor.

Not going to happen why would leeds sign a player from a league one team in bristol city

09 Jun 2013 14:06:17
Leeds will possibly sign the following players:
Cedric Evina Free
Eric Lichaj Free (if we sell Byram)
Noel Hunt Free
Matt Mills around 1 million (depends on whether or not the owners will back Brian McDermott)
Matt Kilgallon Free
Sylvan Ebanks-Blake Free
Possibly some midfield players also but unsure who we can afford

Matt kilgallon would be a good signing and could happen after he was released. Ebanks-Blake i'm unusre because he has a broken leg

09 Jun 2013 22:29:29
I agree about Ebanks Blake but these are all from reasonably strong sources, to be fair if he did sign and we get him fit he may not be our main striker but he would give us fire power

I agree with you about Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, but McDermott is willing to take a risk on him because if he his fit he will give you "real firepower"

10 Jun 2013 12:26:12
Leeds have also made enquires about Adam Le Fondre and Billy Sharp but these deals are very unlikely to happen due to wage demands

10 Jun 2013 19:49:31
Matt Smith deal was kept very quite, Noel Hunt to be announced this week as McDermott's second signing, the possibly followed by two more within the next few weeks, a total of 6 signings are expected to be made before June 27th

I am sure Ryan Taylor will get game time in league 1. This may be his year, if BCFC sell him now they have wasted their time having him, and blooding him.

He is a natural partner for Baldock or Davies (assuming one of them will stay)

08 Jun 2013 16:41:17
Luke McCullough released by Manchester United is target for both Doncaster Rovers and Oldham Athletic.

08 Jun 2013 16:34:28
Erik lamela could be heading to st Mary's in a swap deal with gaston Ramirez from AS roma

Erik Lamela is more likely to follow Baldini from Roma to Tottenham as replacement for injury prone Lennon

Stoke are Interested in:
Junior Hoilett-QPR- 5m+ Crouch
Victor Wanyama-Celtic- 10m
Gary Hooper-Celtic- 3m+Walters
Erik Pieters-PSV- 3m
Paulo Ce Ceglie- Juventus
Frederik Sorenson- Juventus
Andreas Cornelius- FC Copenhavn

If stoke can get big vic for £10mill that's the transfer of the season. The guy is destined for top 4 team and is worth much more than 10mill

If stoke can get big vic for £10mill that's the transfer of the season. The guy is destined for top 4 team and is worth much more than 10mill

None of these will happen. Hoilett is not worth 5 mil alone. Wanyama will never go Stoke. If Celtic rejected 7mil from Norwich last year why would they accept 3 even with a player. Pieters worth more than 3mil and we will not get two left backs, I doubt Sorenson will come and Hughes hasn't decided on Cornelius yet.

This is Mark Hughes we're talking about. That list should be twice as long and three times as expensive.

Having seen Pieters play, I'm pretty sure the 4mil quoted elsewhere is pretty accurate. Not sure he'll join the potters, but the price isn't too far off. Otherwise I'm with you, only the Pieters, Sorenson, and Cornelius (and maybe Hoilett) rumours have any legs at all, and even then.

titus bramble was spotted at a football tornament today in ipswich and was saying that if an offer from town was available he would bite there hand off as he still loves the club that he grew up with

He was at the tournament as his son was playing in it and he didn't say that he would bite there hand off he said he would consider it. He is not going to tell town fans he would not ever come back would he.

I also spoke to Titus and he was definatley expressing a keen interest in returning to itfc and has told his agent to test the water.

08 Jun 2013 18:59:39
a few articles in the Swedish local press today, a fee for Hammarby's Johannes Hopf and Ipswich has been agreed. A bid believed to be of around 150,000 pounds has been accepted, subject to personal terms.

09 Jun 2013 14:46:55
This is reportedly very close to being a done deal. 6ft5 Hopf and voted player if year last season. He's also stated on his twitter his want to play in England.

Town were linked with him last summer. Decent stopper and got at least five years left in him.

08 Jun 2013 17:13:47
Forest looking at Bentley and pennant both on a free after being released by spurs and stoke

If you looked into the rumour you've just invented you'd know that although pennants contract has ended he has a meeting with Hughes later in the month to discuss a new contract

Hughes has already offered Pennant a 1 year contract however Bruce at Hull has offered him a 1 year deal with an additional year if they stay up. So it is up to Pennant to decide but he will not go Forest neither will Bentley who has bigger clubs who want him. {Ed034's Note - bigger clubs?? Only in league status and only for now ;-)

Yes Ed I did mean now Forest have a bigger history than Stoke and Hull combined.

Yes Ed I did mean now Forest have a bigger history than Stoke and Hull combined. {Ed034's Note - I hope forest can join you both very shortly

I'm a Stoke fan myself but I too would like to see Forest back in the prem. I think they have the right manager and it looks as if they are ok financially.

08 Jun 2013 16:42:57
Ipswich looking at the released Ross Turnbull from Chelsea as he has experience in the championship from Middlesborough. Only stumbling block could be wages.

He never played in the Championship for Boro, he played about 15 games in the premiership the season they got relegated, he then signed for Chelsea. He's rumoured to be on his way back to Boro with Jason Steele set to move to a big club in a £5+ deal.

I'm pretty sure turnbull only played for us in the prem.

08 Jun 2013 17:38:00
Patterson not worth anywhere near 1.2m get a life

The deal may eventually rise to this figure with add ons etc. But no way up front.

08 Jun 2013 17:33:08
James mcCarthy to Everton.

If they've got £15M then yes, if not then no chance.

Jun 2013 00:10:56
I think he will move wherther or not its to everton remains to be seen

Wigan do have a serious amount of games to play next season. Reckon they need about 5 or 6 extra players.

Maybe they'll have to play fringe players in europe next year but I don't know if they have any.

Selling McCarthy would help fun a few deccent championship players.

Good Luck for the season.

08 Jun 2013 17:31:02
Millwall will make a triple signing next week, with murray davidson joining from st johnstone, mehdi abeid from newcastle and will hoskins from brighton

Maybe? In SL I trust!COYL

Maybe? In SL I trust!COYL

Not sure about Hoskins? SL knows the other two very well! If true, we shall see?

Don't you know Hoskins is injured

Hoskins is seriously injured so he won't be sold

I would personally take the other two players on! Davidson is rated & so is Abeid from Newcastle & are both midfielders! Can they be any worse than Trotter? Leave it to SL!

08 Jun 2013 17:27:14
Watford linked with 19 year old Spanish Under 21 striker Paco Alcacer. Alcacer has been prodigious over the last 2 seasons for Valencia B and spent part of last season on loan at Getafe in La Liga.

Barca was told last season there was no chance to sign him so I doubt watford will sign him. Valencia see him as their future.

When you see what Watford did for Matej Vydra this season in terms regular senior football in a league and team that allows the striker to raise his profile and confidence you can understand why Valencia might prefer him to go on loan to Watford, he didn't pull up trees at Getafemfc last season so perhaps dropping down a league would help the lad and Valencia in the long term

If Udinese want him then a free transfer to us I can see it happening.

08 Jun 2013 17:19:36
bournemouth interested in bringing in Carlton Cole if they can sell Tubbs

That's just about the standard he could play in.

09 Jun 2013 10:23:59
Be chuffed with Carlton Cole. Rather have him than Danny Ings for £1.3 million!

11 Jun 2013 09:46:05
Danny Ings would be better for your club as he is young and has much potential. Cole is a great player but as a burnley fan I would rather have ings.

08 Jun 2013 17:19:23
Ben Alnwick will be 1st choice 'keeper next season, if Luke Steele doesn't accept his contract after he saw his wages cut. Flitcroft is close on signing a number 2 from Europe

08 Jun 2013 17:19:01
Fletcher leaving Sunderland and klose and bent signing 1 Jul

Sunderland's problem is that players will get fed up with do canios management style very quickly and a player like klose will not accept being shouted at constantly

Think you will find Di Canio shouts and fines players who don't follow the rules. I'm sorry but because bramble has had a pop because he got fined for missing weight training then was not offered another contract is no basis to say Di Canio shouts all the time. He's strict but if you work hard and follow the rules there no problem. And if I player doesn't want to work hard and follow the rules I don't want them at SAFC

As Oshea has said its no different than when he was at man utd. So we should let players do what they want at sunderland when Manchester United doesn't? Give your head a shake.

Wickham has agreed a season long loan to Sheff Weds if the Black Cats are willing to pay part of his wages. Wickham settled up north.

Really hope charlton don't get Wickham awful player

09 Jun 2013 07:20:13
Welcome to him. he can't hit a barn door fron 5 yards.
Give us obika back any day.

Wickam to owls. Ok he is awful we don't want him

08 Jun 2013 18:07:23
Bradford are in talks with Jacques Maghoma and Myles Weston as they want to sign at least 1 of them. Also PP wants someone upfront so maybe the like of Yassine Benzia to support Hanson if Nahki goes. Also Marlon Pack is a big guy that PP wants to sign.

Where did you dream up that a 18 year old french footballer who is starting for a ligue 1 team would come to league1 bradford especially when he has just signed a 3 year big deal for the club?

just interested nothing personal

Cant see Benzia leaving Lyon, but he is great on fifa

09 Jun 2013 11:14:50
Myles Weston won't go to Bradford! Not if he's already playing for a league 1 club.

Some of this Bradford stuff is bizzare. let's put it st8. as far as I know. pack is a possible. youngster from arsenal on loan also possible. wells going nowhere!!sorted

swindon board are in discussion with unnamed party to sell the club having brought the budget under control. the unnamed party concerned can be heard touting on the internet football forums that they are in negotations to buy a league 1 club in england. the intrested party also have football interests abroad. this will come to be public knowledge when further talks have taken place and both parties are in a position to make a statement. the new owners have a preffered candidate to be there manager and that is current england under 21 boss stuart pearce who is out of contract this summer. all will be revealed shortly

Just read the England U21 match report and come up with a lazy rumour? Well done you. Wait a minute, Stuart Pearce lives nearby so this MUST be true. Tony Adams as number 2 as he's also in the neighbourhood. Yawn.

Stuart Pearce was at the county ground three weeks ago, my son was playing in a tournament on the Saturday he was sitting in the stands, I actually went and shook his hand, regarding this rumour I have heard this before or something similar, I have heard from a financial advisor that jed is only the front for someone bigger behind the scenes? Never know what to believe.

Stuart's son was playing in that tournament I believe so people reading too much into him being there.

No his son wasn't playing, if so he is very young u10s and left without him.

Would be delighted to see Jed and Macdonald leave

If the named party are on websites spouting the takeover, why don't you just tell us who they are, if of course it is true?

No kevin mac is the answer to change the manager again with s. pearce will be no better, he is boring & his style of football will nor suit swindon. john bostock will never sign for swindon!!!!!

Dadvid Flitcroft says deal is nearly done to bring COG to Barnsley permanently (tv)

Chris O, Grady will become a Barnsley
player next week

Sadly not Chris o Grady is in talks with Charlton as published in London gazette

Well done Chorlton, if I grady is singing for you that's a great signing. Is he any good though? {Ed003's Note - Chorlton and the Wheelies? }

Choosing charlton ahead of barnsley will obviously be a massive career move for him won't it

He's not in talks with charlton. O'grady lives in Barnsley and doesn't want to leave Yorkshire.

Wednesday fan hear. As far as I am aware Chris would like to stay in area for family reasons. He as said that he really enjoyed his time with Barnsley, and I feel sure he will join them.

Sadly he's in talk with barnsley to sign and would he move 200 miles and barnsley are better than charlton

Deffo be at Oakwell next season!

Wednesday desperate to reduce over heads as MM try's to sell the club

Lewin Nyatanga in talks with Huddersfield. Joel Lynch being shipped out to Barnsley on season long loan

I'll bet Lynch stays at Huddersfield. {Ed003's Note - see what you did there}

Shipped out to barnsley? Is he taking the canal?

Yes, I'm a right smart Alec (Gilroyd) lol.

08 Jun 2013 16:10:14
Wigan have made an approach to Gus Poyet to become their new manager.

Poyet is on Wigan chairman Dave Whelan's shortlist to succeed Roberto Martinez and they have moved to talk to him about the vacancy.

The Uruguayan is currently suspended by Brighton following comments made after the Seagulls' Championship play-off defeat to Crystal Palace last month.

Poyet has a £2million buy-out clause in his contract but there looks no way back for him at Brighton despite the impressive job he did there on a limited budget.

Wigan also have old England boss Steve McClaren, former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen and ex-Bolton manager Owen Coyle on their list of potential appointments.

Please take poyet he has to move on. Brighton fan

Brighton fan. Wigan have Poyet. Hardly any Brighton fans want Poyet to stay manager. Let him go.

I heard that McClaren's red hot favourite and it's his job if he wants it.

'looks no way back for him at Brighton despite the impressive job he did there on a limited budget'

haha Poyet has had a massive budget. In the second half of season he bought a player for 2m plus and managed to pay the wages of two ex england internationals on loan in Bridge and Upson.

It is a joke that Poyet says he needs more money to take brighton futher he has had more than most championship clubs!

10 Jun 2013 11:42:57
Limited budget! Poyet spent money hand over fist. After the club announced an £8million loss he went out and splashed another £2million on Ulloa.

It amazes me how Brighton fans can have such short memories. Promoted to the Championship, got into playoffs and now they want him out!!

Gus did a good job for us, but when a manager says he's leaving if he does not get what he wants and then loses in the play offs and says he wants to go because we lost, then rubbishes the clubs name, you don't want him anymore, fair enough he's a good manager but his time at brighton is obviously up.

Some fans don't want him out although no Manager can hold a club to Ransom, Thank You

08 Jun 2013 16:02:22
Watford to announce the signing of thomas hitzlsperger who has just been released by everton on monday. This will coincide with the statement that Vydra has be sold {Ed034's Note - are Watford not under a transfer ban??

08 Jun 2013 21:44:16
This is simply untrue.

08 Jun 2013 23:09:04
Watford are under an embargo, not a ban.

They can sign or sell players but they need to get Football League approval first.

Could see this happening. wouldn't be too upset if vydra leaves as he obviously doesn't want to play for us anymore. No players bigger than the club and I can see hitzlesperger signing as we were interested in him in january

Why is it obvious he doesn't want to play anymore? His agent has said a few things but that's what agents do. Nobody actually knows what Vydra wants. I wouldn't be surprised if was at Waford next year as who is going to meet the Pozzo valuation?

This is utter drivel. Please do your research before confusing people who skim through these pages with misinformation.

Hi Ed. you said O gready might sign for Barnsley. any more updates yet? {Ed003's Note - nope}

08 Jun 2013 15:50:41
Bournemouth were interested in Neil Killkenny of Bristol City, but have been put off by the players wage demands

Please sign Kilkenny from us please

Not the type of player afcb need to sign at all, doubtful serious interest

You can have him for free he's quality at warming the bench

Neil Kilkenny blagged his way on to a massive contract and has shown very little to suggest he is worth the money.

He is a decent enough player and will probably be in our starting 11 this year, but I just can't get past the idea he earns double and triple some of the other blokes in the squad do.

He really needs to be moved on and replaced with two players of similar quality for the same dosh combined.

Neil Kilkenny is quality at taking a ball from a centre back then passing it to another get rid while we can

08 Jun 2013 15:43:47

Walsall make 55,000 bid for southend utd keeper paul smith the experienced stopper has a number of interested clubs wanting his signature.

Where are Walsall going to get £50. OOO from get real daft lad.

Where did we get that money

This is not a lot of money for walsall we have payed this type of fee on a regular basis it just goes undisclosed, I. e constable

Constable was £4,000

Mantom was signed for a 5 figure fee but it was undisclosed

10 Jun 2013 23:16:12
Mantom was on a free after his contract was terminated at westbrom but we could pay that much if we wanted too but we will probably sign Belford from Bury

Mantom had 6 months left on his contract at baggies, but wanted to play competitive games, he signed a 18 month contract with walsall and albion let him leave on a free, he's done excellent for us and he is part of a cracking passing team.

Mantom cost 30,000 even though he was allowed to leave by WBA his age requires a fee! Same as grigg

Middlesbrough on the verge of signing out of contract player
Thomas Hitzlesperger on 1 year deal

Hitzlesperger would be a good signing but needs to be playing.

Louis Carey has turned down an offer for an extended deal at his hometown club Bristol City, and is set to join Yeovil Town on a 1-year deal.

Carey has been promised more first team football at Yeovil and has worked under Gary Johnson before.

I know someone who is ITK at Yeovil and I trust him 100% on what he says.

That's a lie he's already extended his contract at Bristol city

Bristol city have not offered louis Carey a contact, Bristol City have said they have offered Louis a contract, but Louis Carey has not received contract details, so he is know looking for other club, I have heard this from louis Carey as I live next door to him a Flax Bourton,

The only way carey would turn down the contract was if he was going to retire becauae he will get the appereance record.

Louis carey wouldn't be garuenteed first team football

Louis has not made a decision yet but at the moment he is away doing his coaching badges in Scotland. from someone who is good friends with louis

He wil be looking for a defender who can actually run

That second post makes no sence at all

He will want to beat our all time appearance record he won't leave If we ask him to extend

If he does go elsewhere I wish him all the best but he isn't going to be good enough for the championship

Loius Carey is past it, but we'll take Lewis Carey as no. 2 keeper

Carey wouldn't leave if he's a city legend

That second post makes no send what geek puts that up city have offered him a contract extension it was announced at the end of the season he was one of the players out of contract that we have renewed fact

Pretty sure Louis Carey will be resigned and break that apperence record.

I am sure he would have called it a day had he broken it last season.

Fulham manager Martin Jol is a big fan of Barcelona's Thiago Alcantara. I know it sounds unrealistic but he has 2 meetings with Alistair Mackintosh and Mohamed Al Fayed in Switzerland about breaking the budget to hit his recently reduced €15m release clause.

Thiago is aware that bigger clubs, i. e Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are also interested but may see Fulham as a stepping stone.

FFC scouts have been in Israel watching the u21 Championships, most interestingly for Group B games which contains Spain, Holland, Germany and Russia.

Why would he go to Fulham

I really hope this is true, although I doubt it would happen. I would also love it if we could snap up some of those dutch youngsters as they look quality.

We have no chance.

I think we may have a chance as he may think Fulham is a place where he can prove himself in the BPL and then move onto another club. If we did get him it would an astonishing signing. And as for those U21 players it would be great to get some good prospects for the future and even to put into the first team now.

08 Jun 2013 14:31:27
Huddersfield will sign former on loan player Graham Carey on a free contract next week 100% fact

Why would we be looking at an average 1st division player? Had an average season on loan in a good Huddersfield team and he's don't nowt since.
Does not improve anything.
We are linked with Patterson and Jenkins. The ex Celtic lad would mean a serious lack of ambition.
In my opinion

Hope not.

Postitive posting. Hope its 100% true

Actually Carey is a decent player, can cover at fullback and is a good left winger. Can't see him being a first pick player but a good addition to what is at the moment a thin squad.

08 Jun 2013 13:55:22
Colchester to sign Bradley Garmston from WBA on a season long loan.

Sam Walker will also complete his season long loan from Chelsea once Jose has signed a new keeper as backup to Cech after releasing Turnbull.

Colchesters other summer priority is Sanchez Watt who will join at the end of his Arsenal contract after they announced he will be released.

Any other signings will depend on what happens with players who have been offered deals but not yet signed them

I can well see all three signings being done, only one that might be a bit iffey is Sanchez_watt.

If Colchester get all 3 especially Watt and Walker then we could have a good season not promotion but close to the playoffs - I just don't see us being able to land all of them.

08 Jun 2013 14:20:27
Calvin Zola will join Bury on a two-year deal from Burton Albion. Should be confirmed early next week.

False rumour again. Won't happen.

This will happen. Wait and see :)

If Zola leaves it it'll be for a L1 club, not another L2 side. Expect Zola and Paterson to re-sign for Burton by end of this week. Edwards and McGurk are possibilities as well, but Holmes will not sign.

08 Jun 2013 14:09:00
Nick Bignall to join OUFC following release from RFC. 3 year deal.

08 Jun 2013 14:00:24
Dale Jennings joining Huddersfield Town on a 3 year deal, undisclosed fee.

I hope so, just the kind of player we should be going for. All this crap about Stead, Roberts and GTF is not the way the club should be going.

Him or Patterson would be good.

Quality hope its true

08 Jun 2013 13:56:45
Last Years Loanee Ismail Miller Is Set To Sign A 2 Year Deal At The Riverside.

I really hope not. So far this close season I have hoped Mowbray has learned from his mistakes but if this is true I will not be going next season. {Ed034's Note - as a forest fan, I really hope he signs #wagethief

Hope this is not true need goal scores

Please, please no.

08 Jun 2013 23:34:50
I'm a Forest fan & would happily drive him there myself! League 1 standard.

08 Jun 2013 13:51:52
Stephen McGinn set for talks with Bradford City after being released by Watford and is keen to move up north to be nearer Scotland. Carlisle United are also interested.

08 Jun 2013 15:05:14
He is off to Mk dons wants to stay down south!

Great young man with a superb attitude and willingness to learn.

08 Jun 2013 21:27:22
He will be signing for Shrewsbury, where him and his famliy are settled.

They have since invented the motor car, therefore you do not have to work where you live

09 Jun 2013 21:36:03
I heard Doncaster were looking at McGinn.

I get the feeling that somebody will know where he has bought a house.!

08 Jun 2013 13:22:55
Rotherham have announced they ain't after Matt Tubbs, and are talking to other strikers looking to sign.
And Crawley have said it's very unlikely that he'll be making a return to them. So looks like Oxford United are now the favourites to sign him? Although OUFC have said nothing on the subject.
Oxford would not be able to afford any fee, Bournemouth want to sell him to get some of there money back on him. And Oxford would only be able to afford 75% of his weekly wage, if on loan.
Would Bournemouth accept that?

If Oxford United have not made any comment, how do you know what could or could not be afforded. Oxford hardly ever make any comment about possible signings until its all done and dusted. Rumour locally is that he is a possible target but that's all it is.

Who knows my boy, who knows

09 Jun 2013 20:38:59
Wow crawley about to sign john Bostock who wants to restart his career and will take big wage drop to do so barker tried very hard last season to sign him but this time seems to think his got him follow this post more to come crawley closing in on him

Crawley to sign john Bostock who has agreed ed to take wage cut see for yourself in Croydon herald he will be joining crawley this month

Crawley have agreed personal terms with Bostock who has said he will not join swindon look on tv news Bostock to sign for crawley

08 Jun 2013 13:13:35
Jamie Patterson will be offered a contract extension with Walsall when he returns from holiday in Mexico, Huddersfield have seem to have lost interest due to the wingers 1. 2 Million price tag!

He will reject this offer. Wants to speak to hudds.

Are we to believe that Wall have left it till only a year remains on his deal to offer him a new one. They will have been trying to tie him down for ages. He`s as good as gone.

I'm sure his agent will want his asset playing championship football next season & force a move. Hear two other championship clubs are keeping a very close eye aswell!

What I'd reckon is more likely is that Walsall have accepted an offer from Hudds but neither are confirming or denying anything until Jamie returns from Cancun. But realistically, if he's caught wind of the offers from Hudds he'd be stupid not to want to at least talk to them.

Hope Huddersfield get their act together. Just the kind of player we should be going for worth probably a £1m

Pleased to be honest, too much money to risk imo. Would loved to have seen Lloyd Dyer here but think he's better options

Akinfenwa is to old for Walsall

No doubt about his talent, but will he really sign for Town.

Rumours coming out of Walsall is that the bids from Huddersfield were no more than £200k at most for Paterson which included only £50k upfront! Shocking if so. Agent telling porkies to the papers?

08 Jun 2013 13:08:33
Adriano basso has re-signed for bristol city on a free on a 1-year contract

Due to be announced as a joint signing with flint on tuesday after their medicals.

I hope not!we need new blood not has beens

I have heard a lot of people say he will be our goal keeper on trial for pre season to allow the club to more time to source a long term number 1.

With no keeper at all we don't have anyone to play in friendlies or training so Basso could be being brought in with a view to him earning a contract.

It gives SOD a little longer to make sure he gets the right man.

I still think it will be Flinders.

08 Jun 2013 13:05:10
Former Bury goalkeeper Cameron Belford is in advanced talks with league one side Walsall, Belford held talks with Walsall manager Dean smith on 6th June

Walsall are also in talks with striker Adebayo Akinfenwa and midfielder Romuald Boco

Unlucky, if true. Terrible keeper

If it is true you will struggle with him as your goalkeeper not bad shot stopper that it

08 Jun 2013 13:04:13
Bristol City are set to give Archange Nkumu and Thomas Donegan a trial during pre season.

Nkumu has had 2 loan spells terminated at league one clubs in the last year and only played for 5 mins; I saw him play for Colchester reserves and he looked way out of his depth

08 Jun 2013 13:35:36
Yeovil looking at possible move for Lyle Taylor as one of a few paid transfers. Also looking into free agents J. Meade, Febian Brandy, Korey Smith, John Cofie and a new name on the mill today is the possibility of John Bostock who hasn't managed to settle anywhere he goes and is looking for a few years of first team football for one club.

Only names I'm getting at the moment seem very young so I would imagine a few more experienced players will be mentioned as the weeks go on.

08 Jun 2013 13:29:32
Do people think there is something in the Richie wellens coming back rumour, his name keeps getting mentioned and pd has said he likes him to? what do people think

There are reports in the Leicester's local paper that he will be on his way to Doncaster

Devon Fox

08 Jun 2013 12:59:32
Wolves have agreed a fee with Ipswich which will see stearmen moving to Portman road next season, it's believed that Chopra to wolves is part of the deal, Chopra moving to molineux will 3 up wages for McCarthy as he looks to add new faces to his squad, wolves see Chopra as perfect replacement for Kevin doyal who is reportedly interesting fulham and west brom. chopra is believed to be keen on move and because would still pick up over 10k a week with wolves and is a fresh start after publicized off field issues

No way. West Brom are not interested in Doyle however he does remain a potential target for Leeds United and Celtic.

If this is true (which I strongly doubt) it is excellent news.

Quite plausible actually can understand why that would happen. Chopra wants the money and wolves can give it to him.

Really wanna believe this but can't see this happening sorry

Hope this is ture as much as I wanted chopa to do well at ipswich he was a shambles. Stearman did well in the town back four and was one of the reasons we stayed up.

Seriously? “3” is now an acceptable replacement for “free”?

No interest from Fulham in Doyle, his best days are long gone.

Doyle will leave this summer and Chopra would fit the bill for Wolves. See this as a viable call.

09 Jun 2013 00:49:51
Not sure Doyle will leave, Wolves are apparently asking for £2.3 million which is more than Celtic are willing to pay (and they're the most interested party). If the price drops then a few clubs might be interested but not right now.

Wolves will not sign a striker and even if we did we wouldn't pay chopra 10k a week

Chopra is a a player with off-field "issues". So there is no chance Wolves will be interested.

08 Jun 2013 12:59:02
Crystal Palace are said to be eyeing up a move for Aston Villa fringe player Barry Bannan. Bannan is rumoured to be looking for a way out of Villa Park due to the lack of first-team appearances. Holloway had Bannan on loan at Blackpool a few season's ago and rates the young playmaker highly.

Is Ollie trying to rebuild his old Blackpool side at Palace?

If anyone mentions Andy Reid or Sergei Kornilenko be really worried.

Ollie needs some new ideas. PLEASE take Gary Taylor Fletcher

Doesnt Ollie remember that his Blackpool side wasnt good enough to stay in the Premier. Now he wants to move them all to Palace? don't be so lazy Ollie! Make the effort to look at 'new' players.

The Blackpool team got 39 points in the prem on the lowest budget ever. The refereeing decisions league table showed that we had the most mistakes against us by officials, they have nothing to be ashamed of and they proved their quality. {Ed003's Note - well said,utmp. }

Blackpool were a breath of fresh air in the prem league, everyone spoke highly of them. Loved hollerways comments after the game.

08 Jun 2013 12:51:44
Danny graham is a loan target for middlesbrough, who is out of favour at Sunderland due to di Canio wanting to sign anothe striker which will push graham to the bench.

Already on the bench

This looks likely as Middlesbrough are the only club interested in him in the north east, and he has family in the area to keep him here

He also said, in January that he won't drop down to this level of football!

08 Jun 2013 12:47:35
Accrington Stanley are set to lose Benin international midfielder Romuald Boco to league one side walsall, Stanley had offered Boco a new contract but he has expressed a desire to play higher than L2
Amine Linganzi is also rumoured to be attracting the attention of Dean Smith

Walsall look to build on last seasons 9th place but are still working on a limited budget reason they are talking to Stanley's duo Boco (10 goals last season) and Linganzi

08 Jun 2013 12:33:32
Keith Hill is set to unveil 3 new signings in the coming weeks.

Marlon Harewood (out of contract at Barnsley)
Ryan Lowe (MK Dons)
Alex Cisak (Out of contract Oldham Atheltic)

Alex cisak is pretty much a definate no. we already have our keepers fully sorted

Good singing for Keith Hill if it's true about Harewood and reckon he'll do well for the Shakers.

Ha ha can;t afford their wages when Richdale only get 2100 home fans and byt the way Cisak is far better than league 2 and wudn;t sign for you anyway.

Your league 2 for a reason.

From what I've seen from josh lillis this season, you should jump at signing cisak

Jos lillies isn't as bad as you make out. {Ed003's Note - had to get my glasses then to read that lol.}

08 Jun 2013 12:02:12
Lots of rumours about Calvin Zola to Bury when his contract runs out.

08 Jun 2013 11:58:51
Dexter Blackstock close to agreeing terms with Huddersfield, heard this from many people

No real terms to accept. He has a 4 year contract that he will want to be taken over by another club if he moves.

Wonder if it will be to partner Vaughan or as an alternative?

Bit of a no brainer posting seeing as this information has been a rash on the internet all day.

08 Jun 2013 11:46:34
Any on got any Barnsley news from jon

Bransley will be signing players jon.

Hope the new players are god players.

Yes me to, we need Devine intervention lol

08 Jun 2013 11:46:10
It's been reported in the Hartlepool mail that Middlesbrough could be a loan destination for Danny Graham (sunderland)

I put this on here a week ago. Its a done deal. Loan till xmas to start with. He will be upfront with marc-antoinne fortune in if boro can sort out a contract issue.

08 Jun 2013 11:42:31
Derby County to sign Craig Forsyth from Watford for 150k but also Mathew Briggs on loan from Fulham, who coincidently was on loan at Watford for the 2012/13 season. This will provide competition at the left back position.

Briggs is nothing special. Cost us with a few mistakes, but forsyth is young although not the best at watford certainly has a decent future if he works hard.

Good shot on him and good in the air too which is rare in a full back.

Load of rubbish, Derby are after Forsyth only, well documented, a fee has been agreed, the move will take place 1st July, end of. Stop spouting other rubbish.

Briggs was one of the reason watford were in the playoffs and not automatic places, he's awful

08 Jun 2013 11:42:11
Lifelong millwall fan Gary o'neil will be new manager Steve lomas's first signing after being released by west ham

I do hope so good player

08 Jun 2013 11:20:40
Middlesbrough have received inquiries about Emnes, Mcdonald, rhys williams and jason steele.
Boro have contacted Schwarzer but he is looking to stay in london, however a contract has been offered to turnbull.
I think that will see steele leave. Talk of big bids from man utd, arsenal, liverpool and man city are expected.
Mowbray knows that he must sell players if he is to bring in his prime targets. whitehead deal agreed and jerome thomas deep in discussions with agent.
He is hoping to keep rhys Williams but is boosted by the emergence of ben gibson, gibson is likely to be a first team regular next season. with bikey and mcmanus leaving his form last season whilst on loan at tranmere meant mowbray was able to prioritise his budget elsewhere.
Marc-antoinne fortune's move has hit a snag already, he wants to have a small buy-out clause in his contract, meaning early season form could lead to a premiership club coming in for him.

Steele has vowed to stay at boro! steele has said it's great to be an u-21, but his main aim is to get boro to the prem

Steele would leave, I wouldn't be happy to see him go but I think it would be best for him

08 Jun 2013 11:15:41
Danny Graham to Boro on season long loan? He has resettled in the NE and doesn't want to uproot family again plus out of favour with Di Canio.

08 Jun 2013 11:10:20
Steve Evans interested in bringing Courtney Cameron back to Rotherham after he released by Aston Villa. Cameron spent a lot of last season on loan with the millers and impressed Evans especially considering he's only 20 so Evans thinks he has real potential.

08 Jun 2013 14:53:22
Courtney Cameron and Matt Derbyshire been seen at new York stadium this week!

Be a good signing for us

08 Jun 2013 11:08:11
Bradford have offered trials to Sanchez Watt (ex Arsenal), Brett Williams (ex Reading), Simon Church (ex Reading) and Sam Hoskins (ex Southampton) who were released by their parent clubs.

Sanchez-Watt has been offered a contract at Colchester, which has yet to be accepted, so why would he move up north just for a trial.

I don't think he would actually move mate he would just stay in a hotel

I assume because he feels he may be able to get a better offer hence why it hasn't yet been accepted.

08 Jun 2013 11:06:59
Burnley hope to sign Watford midfilelder Jonathan Hogg and will try to offload Danny Ings to Bournemouth to raise the money for the midfielder. Former Hornets boss Sean Dyche is confident of getting Hogg after Watford failed to get promoted.

No chance of Hogg leaving Watford this summer

Hogg firmly in the first team plans at Watford. Would take a very large bid and a guaranteed replacement available from udinese to see him leave. Also why would he want to leave a team challenging for promotion to burnley?

08 Jun 2013 15:27:16
Hogg would be a regular starter for Burnley who, let's not forget, were a PL team more recently than Watford and still get parachute payments. Also Burnley do not have to borrow all their players and are not a feeder club like Watford.

Burnley won't be selling danny ings, and we have money to spend, our chairman or should I say (men) have publicly stated that sean dyche will have money to spend when the transfer window opens

08 Jun 2013 18:31:35
Would cost you more than you have

Straight swap for Austin is your only hope!

Hogg starts more games than he doesn't for Watford. And please do not make ill-informed comments about Watford being a feeder club. Do you research on where the Pozzos are aiming to take Watford.

A team that were going for promotion LAST season, are there any guarentees you'll be up there again. look at Preston, challenged for promotion to the prem for years. times change my friend.

Hogg is also a regular for Watford. I reckon £1.5m may tempt our board but nothing less

He's only on loan to Watford from Aston Villa.

1. Hogg plays fairly regularly for Watford
2. Regardless of how recently you were in the premiership Watford are a better club at the moment and are more likely to get promoted next season
3. We are not a feeder club, all three clubs are on a par under the Pozzo umbrella

On the other hand I think Burnley are a good club and you have a good manager but I doubt Hogg will be leaving Watford as he proved himself to be a valuable member of the team last season.

Peace

Burnley fans trying to make out that they are bigger than Watford? Not that it matters that much, but that's funny.

Why would hogg want to join a mid table championship club when he's a regular starter for a team who were so close from getting promoted?

Burnley and watford are two evenly matched teams

Would be a backward step for Hogg - he struggled to impress at Watford under Dyche, but then improved greatly under Zola. There's more to come from him so why on earth would he want to stall his career with such a move?

09 Jun 2013 10:21:46
Won't have 10 loan players nexy year. Rebuilding for Watford methinks.

Hogg is staying in the midlands this year to try and break into the Aston Villa first team. Neither club will get him. fml.

Hogg is a Villa Player

If Watford were the feeder club surely their players be leaving to go to Italy, rather than the other way around?

Anyway we all know Jonathan Hogg is going back to Aston Villa when his loan finishes (ha ha).

No Hogg is not only on loan from Villa, Watford signed him permanently last year

Burnley parachute payments ran out last year, hence the need to sell Austin to raise cash

Burnley's parachute payments run out 2013/14

Im a watford fan but of course watford are a feeder club we are gettting all our players on loan from the reserves and youth ranks of udinese and the likes because of the pozzo family to develop them. We will have an entirely different team next year and I believe burnley at the moment to be in a much better position considering we only have 15 contratced players at the moment. Not exactly promotion material

If burnley carry on the way they are then I think we will have less than 15 contracted players soon

Misinformed Watford fans above. The Pozzo's have confirmed that we will be getting all the loanees back minus Geijo, Cassetti (who is a doubt) and Vydra (if the unlikely situation of a good offer from either Spurs or Arsenal comes through). In addition, we are getting Odion Ighalo off Granada, Mathias Ranegie and Daniele Mori off Udinese. For God's sake people, stop reading the headlines and look into the story before forming your opinions. Also, I don't know whether the nonsense about Hogg being a Villa loanee is merely a joke or whether people are really that stupid.

Newport County in talks to sign Darren Purse, Dale Tonge, Courtney Cameron and David Healy who were released by Plymouth, Rotherham, Aston Villa and Bury respectively.

Purse was released by port vale not Plymouth

Darren Purse was released by Port Vale not Plymouth

Well you obviously have money to burn if you are going to sign the mercenary Healy

08 Jun 2013 11:01:42
Swindon in talks with Spurs young star Cristian Ceballos

Not sure about this, we were going to loan him last season, but signed preferred targets

08 Jun 2013 10:52:30
Hull city have told Leicester they won't pay 4m for schmeichel so the will look to sign a different keeper and schmeichel will sign a new 3 year deal when he gets back from international duty.

No he won't, he will go to the prem

08 Jun 2013 15:06:58
Who are you his Dad, or Mystic Meg?

Schmeichel will not sign a new deal as he has expressed his desire to play in the prem

08 Jun 2013 22:30:23
No What he actually said was that he was still young and love it at Leiceter and is hoping to get in the Prem next season with the foxes.

09 Jun 2013 03:31:37
"Hoping"? Guess he will be "hoping" for a miracle then

No one in their right mind loves it at leicester

Schmeichel to hand transfer request in next week!!

Ha ha agree there, problem is he will be leaving for free after next season, if I was fester, i, ll cash in while got chance of some cash, no way is he worth 4 mill, 2 at a push for a unproven keeper,

09 Jun 2013 16:56:30
"Who are you his Dad, or Mystic Meg?"
His Dad. Mystic Meg is replacing Pearson next season

Currently in advanced talks with hull, only a matter of time.

KS and agent want prem - will force move to Hull

08 Jun 2013 10:51:03
Ross County midfielder Richard Brittain is attracting interest from Oldham, Bradford and Bristol City.

Hasn't Brittain already signed a 2 year contract with St Johnstone?

He has yes but he wants to cancel this pre-contract agreement for family reasons

08 Jun 2013 10:42:42
Bradford are going to only sign 4 players. Those players are Marlon Pack, Jaques Maghoma, Jon Stead and Adam Ledgzins.

Matt Duke will be departing to Northampton and Nathan Doyle is leaving after been offer a contract from Huddersfield.

Bradford will offer new deals to Zavon Hines and Will Atkinson after Andrew Davies penned a new 2 year deal.

Bigger clubs that Bradford are in for Marlon Pack!

Jon Stead is going to Barnsley

08 Jun 2013 10:23:58
John Cofie to join Yeovil Town as he has been released.

08 Jun 2013 10:11:05
Chelsea have put a £42.5 million bid in for cavani, this could be good news for West Brom as an extra striker would surely mean that Lukaku would leave, or at least he would ask to leave to get first team football on a regular basis. -

Lukaku is going to be a star for Chelsea this season, 3 main strikers Lukaku, Ba, and, if he signs, Cavani, Torres will be sold. So no, he won't be going on loan, as already stated by Mourinho

Lukaku will stay and and cavani will come in

Lukaku has confirmed he is going to stay with parent club Chelsea after an in depth chat with new manage Jose Mourinho.

If Chelsea do buy cavani then they will have Torres, ba and lukaku that just want happen.

Lukaku can play RM, CF & ST so I can see the special one keeping him in the Chelsea squad next season, honestly Lukaku will shine next season the stage is set! From a West Brom fan.

Lukaku and bony have been ruled out by westbrom's hierarchy

08 Jun 2013 10:01:51
Huddersfield Town are rumoured to be interested in Nottingham Forest striker Dexter Blackstock

08 Jun 2013 10:00:32
blackpool have made a bid in an effort to bring back gary mackenzie who had a sucessful loan spell at the seasiders at the end of last season. he is currently at mk dons

He just signed a 1 year contract extension, why would he do that if he wanted to leave?

He had an option on his contract which the club took up to make sure that they would get a fee for the player rather then leaving on a free

Probably because he wants to play at a higher level than MK Dons.

It's obvious he wants to leave. He signed the contract extension so we could get some money for him. Hope he stays though

He didn't sign a one year contract. It was in his original contract that the club have an option to extend his stay by a year if they wish to do so. He would leave on a free if he could and join blackpool or another championship team.

He has 1 year left on his contract.

He hasn't signed a new 1 year contract.

MK DONS didn't want him. and Ince has shown he's a very good Championship player. now MKD want a few quid for him.

Pool and MKD just looking for a figure, which should be fun with Oyston!

He didn't. The clause of extending his contract was activated by the club. So it wasn't solely down to the player. Clubs have to have a say in wether a player stays or goes. If Blackpool want him, they'll have to stump up the cash.

blackpool set to sign sylvain ebanks-blake on a free transfer following his release from wolves

He has allready spoke to middlesbrough and deal is all but done he is due back at rockliffe park in the next few weeks after his holliday to sign

Heading for Ipswich as closer to family and enjoyed working with Mick at Wolves.

SEB is signing for everyone then

Gotta love pre season

Considering his injury which will keep him out till the end of august I can not see many clubs taking the risk

Phil Brown wants to bring back former loanees Matthew Lund and Ben Reeves who have both been released from their clubs Stoke City and Southampton.

Bristol City attempting to sigh Arsenal's Vito Mannone on a loan deal with a view to a permanent one providing they achieve promotion in the 13-14 season.

Never in a million, a championship goalkeeper at least

Would be a fantastic signing, but its just not going to happen.

He would get a lot of game time on loan, but I am sure Arsenal will send him out to a continetal top flight team if they wanted him to play more.

Peterborough United to sign this summer.

Jack Payne - Gillingham
Lyle Taylor - Falkirk
Jon Bostock - Free Agent
Alex Pritchard - Spurs - Loan
Saido Berahino -West Brom - Loan

Lol they want to sign Payne. but not Taylor or bostock other two they would like back on loan

Hope you have got £800,000 for Payne

I would be pleased if they came in, however with Zak leaving and Rowe possibly following, we would need a defender or 2 as well as those above or instead of.

I think you lost chance to sign Payne when you got relegated. Be a case of moving from one div 1 team to another, why would he do that when he is now proven at championship level. If he moves it will be to the championship.

Not Payne, doesn't want to play in L1.

Got the money for Payne don't worry zak and Rowe leave we won't sign any defenders as players already at club

£800,000 for Payne is still a bargain as he is worth it and his value will only go up when playing in a decent side

Tbh Paynes style of football suited Posh perfectly, but the longer it takes the less hope I have of it getting done. Can't understand why we didn't just buy him permanently initially

There was a deal set in the loan arrangement to make it permanent, but I believe that Posh wanted to pay a lower price, so the talks broke down, now Gillingham don't really want to sell

Jack payne has signed a new contract as he has been offered first place on the starting line up by martin allen

Payne has a contract anyway until 2015

Why would Payne move from 1 league 1 club to another? Well because he would be moving to a side that will have a really good chance of getting promoted to the championship rather than battling against relegation, that will be why

Payne won't want to Leave his local Club, to just play for another League one side where he will have to move away from his Family. I think Payne will only move if a Club meets our valuation and the Club are in the League above.

Yes but as proven if he gets promoted with Peterborough thay will come straight back down again. Needs to set his sight a bit higher if he leaves the gills.

Yes but I thought you were talking about him joining Peterborough

I think our form at the back end of last season proves we can cut it in the Championship. If we get promoted, we will not be straight back down. Mistakes were made that will not be repeated. Posh have a proven track record for improving players so a move for Jack would be ideal for club and player.

Payne would be a snip at £800,000 when you think what Barnett cost haha

Rochdale are in talks with Marlon Harewood from Barnsley the deal is nearly done.

He is too old

Its not from Barnsley he is a free agent but he is a grate player with grate passion

This is no wind up, a certain winger is going back to Huddersfield. From a club source and that's why I can't say who. Currently playing for a league one club

Hammil .

First thought was Pilks but he's happy and a 1st regular at Nowich, so next would be Gary Roberts probably. nah yer alright

Roberts? I find it hard to believe if it is, did nowt last season.
Never go back, it's never the same and if it's true it's going to be along season!

Does fit with the chairman master paln either.
But thanks you woke me up on a boring Saturday.

Gary Roberts? Doubt it! Danny Ward & Scannell are decent cover on the left.

What is the point in saying if you 'Cant say who'

Gary Roberts will not be joining Town he is passed his best.

Gary Roberts no chance your being led up the garden path he can not get in the Swindon team and falls down under a strong wind.

Ainsworth

That would be Gary Roberts then?

Garry Roberts? and no thank you if so

Roberts?

08 Jun 2013 14:28:17
Hammil only one that fits the bill.

I am presuming this is Adam Hammill and hoping to god its not Gary (headless chicken) Roberts

Interseting. First name wouldn't be Gary would it.

People say never go back. Nobody complained when Boothy came back. Not that I would want Roberts back

OOoooooo I'm getting excited, its not Ben Thornley is it???

No its not ben thornley. its david Beresford! we can all get excited now.

Brian stock and danny ings will sign for a combined fee of 1.4m deal to be concluded when danny ings contract talks has been completed

08 Jun 2013 11:00:29
Stock will be a key player in Burnley's midfield this season -but Ings will go for £1.3 million.

For where?

08 Jun 2013 08:45:24
Norwich City representatives will meet up with US international Graham Zusi next week to discuss a potential $3m transfer.

No, they are clearly not. This is what, the 6th or 7th time this has been posted but there is no a sniff of it from any real sources.

Calvin zola to sign a new contract with burton after Positive talks with GR

Zola is not going back to Burton. He's been offered contracts higher up.

08 Jun 2013 07:15:21
Oldham Athletic are set to sign Elgin City midfielder Paul Harkins

Are we signing anyone who has played in Scootland?
His stats are crap for this season, 27 apps and only three goals!
Better than Croft's, but Simpson?
It's the fourth tier in Scottish football where he's applied his trade too!
What's that equivalent to? Same league as FC United of Manchester?
Gaffers

Welcome signing if true

a shown below are all the players argyle are after we will not sign all of them ins gk mcormick[already signed] df matias doumbe-mk dons luke wilkinson-dagenham mat mitchel king -wimbledon mf jake forster caskey-brighton loan luke rooney -swindon loan ben tozer-northhampton peter leven -oxford connor henderson-arsenal st reuban reid -yovil loan[already signed] alex macdonald -burnley jake hyde -barnet rene howe-torquay jake speight-mansfeild

You don't want to go anywhere near Mitchel-King. Not League 2 standard.

08 Jun 2013 12:33:06
MacDonald has already said he is not going back to Argyle.

You can barely spell any of them in the first place. Leven will not go to Plymouth, he was flattered by interest but wants to play elsewhere. Forster-Caskey won't go either, nor will Tozer or Henderson.

Also why would Wilkinson go to a club in the same league when there's much bigger clubs interested?

Don't sign mat Mitchel-king unless you want to get relegated, I think he wanted to go part time anyway to focus on his business.

Wilkinson going to the prem

11 Jun 2013 00:36:04
Toby Ajala to sign for AFC Wimbledon soon! Glad to have him full time, if Ardley can get the most out of him and KS-L then we could have a devastating front line - just one more striker alongside JM + CS.

Hes signed contract at bristol so unless its a season long loan this is not true

So should we not worry bout no gk 1cb 1 rb just another striker lol

Ajalas contract at bristol was till the end of the season hasn't signed on any further yet. But I expect they may he is definitely league 1 standard at his best

Preston boss Simon Grayson is keen on a host of strikers available this summer, but looks set to miss out unless his targets are willing to show extreme patience.

The stumbling block is Iain Hume, whose wages are a significant portion of Preston's overall budget and are preventing the addition of any further salaries. If Grayson can offload Hume, he'll move quickly to tie up one or two permanent additions to his squad. This looks unlikely however, as even Championship side Doncaster are put off by the diminutive striker's demands.

Unlike previous manager Westley, Grayson would be willing to utilise Hume, but it's likely that he goes out on loan again with Preston subsidising a crippling percentage of his pay.

Not ideal for Grayson or Preston.

If you were a PNE supporter you would know by now that Grayson has made it clear that he is only looking at a young loan striker from the Premiership. Stick to your own club, if you have one.

He is looking at a young striker from the Premier League believed to be (Adam Morgan) but Simon Grayson won't rule out free transfers but only if he can off load 3/4 players

08 Jun 2013 17:07:00
He hasn't said he's only looking for a young loan player at all.

Hume is thought to be on around £6k a week. (£250k pa)

While at Doncaster PNE paid half of his wage.

Because of the fall out with Westley the club cannot cancel his contract as this would be financially crippling to the club.

Hume cannot now return to PNE as his wages are twice that of the highest paid player currently at the club.

PNE are looking to sell but a loan deal looks most suitable to both parties.

Leaving Bradford City:
Hines to Orient
Atkinson to Hartlepool
Doyle. offered a deal but agent thinks he's worth more so byeee
Duke to Northampton
Wells forwhoever offers more than he is worth I. e. £2m+

Ins:
Guess what - no one knows. It's all speculation as the club hasn't leaked anything other than the factwe are one of many Iinterested in Marlon Pack.

Wells not worth 500000 Madine got 20 goals in league 1 and he is nt worth that

Wells has a 1m release clause in his contract and the chairman has said he will not leave unless that is triggered and doyle has been offered a contract at huddersfield due to robins being a fan of his style of play

He doesn't have a realese cause because we went up, he only had a realease cause if we didn't go up

Duke is no good, need a younger keeper who can kick and catch a ball as duke cant

08 Jun 2013 06:35:26
bradford to sign marlon pack from cheltenham, serge gnabry on loan from arsenal, ben williams from hibs

Dream on Bradford.

Bradford have been linked with a crazy number of players. Does the squad really need much changing for League One?

There have been lots of unfounded rumours connecting Bradford with many out of contract players in the Championship, Ist & 2nd Divisions and even the SPL! This appears to be at serious odds with what their manager and their chairman are both saying that they are looking for 2-3 players to improve the existing squad. Wholesale changes are not necessary. The Bradford fantasists need to get real!

08 Jun 2013 06:31:41
Scunthorpe to sign cliff Byrne and Akinfenwa in the next couple of weeks

Even though i'm a scunny fan Akinfenwa will never go to us

Orient talking to Barry Corr

08 Jun 2013 06:00:39
Jay Emmanuel Thomas and Michael Chopra released by Ipswich, possibly them two signing for Bradford in search of first team action

Not released, transfer listed! Both have 12 months to run on contracts.

Chopra has been transfer listed. he ain't going anywhere as no one else will pay him the wage he is already on

J. E. T on route to Middlesbrough.

They HAVE not been released!!

NOT RELEASED! Both have year left on contracts, besides don't think their egos would allow league 1 football!

They haven't been released they have been transfer listed and no offence but Bradford can't afford their wages

Most ridiculous rumour yet.

Neither have been released!both transfer listed get your facts right! Bradford ha ha not a chance

Try some facts! Both JET and copra not released. But made available for transfer, but wish Chopra was released!

Never going to happen. Neither of them have been released, they are both TRANSFER LISTED. Chopra is reportedly on £18,000 a week so Bentford couldn't come close to agreeing wages. Plus JET is wanted by championship clubs and supposedly Fulham in th EPL.

Bradford! These two are Championship players through and through can't see them dropping down a division and they haven't even been released only listed

08 Jun 2013 05:43:08
Norwich set their sights on strikers Charlie Austin (permanent) of Burnley and John Guidetti (season long loan with view to permanent) of Man City

Im a Burnley fan and I think Norwich would be a crackin move for Charlie, good club, good fans and nearer home for Charlie and his family

Can't see this with Holt staying and Wolfswinkle arriving, not to mention Becchio on bench.

08 Jun 2013 12:42:26
I agree with your kind words! Austin would b a good signing and Norwich would give him a platform to perform at the highest level

Guidetti would make a lot of sense, give him a chance to prove himself!

Would love Guidetti to be true, a great prospect and looks like he's guna be a very good striker.

Becchio won't be at the club next season, clearly not in hughtons plans in any way shape or form, barely used him since he signed. I won't be surprised to see any of vydra, hooper, austin or rhodes + a nother walk through the doors this summer

08 Jun 2013 03:01:43
Southampton are after Lyon defender, Dejan Lovren

Id love this to be true

st stuie

Hope we get him.

This would be a good signing!

Just add him to the list of 1001 players soton are going to sign

Also will speak with Tom Ince when he returns heard this morning.
God I hope this is true, love to see him here.

Also heard about young Ince, the fee
rumoured to be in the region of seven
and a half million.

Ricky Holmes, Hassan Yebda and Aruna Dindane set to sign for a Portsmouth Revolution in League Two next season

No way please be right cme on pup

Can't see this happening as a Pompey fan I would love this but I feel you have just don me this for a bit of a joke

Please be true this would be amazing if this happened

Apart from holmes what a load of rubbish.

Haha surely a made up joke

As if yebda and dindane would drop to league 2, never heard anything so stupid!

Think Holmes will sign but that the money wanted by the other two would break our pay scale and so will not happen. Would love to be proved wrong though!

^^^^
Haha got a point there why would you make some like this up

Got our strikers already, and no way would Yebda play for league 2 wages. Holmes is a possible. We will see when Guy is back to work tomorrow

On the other hand, Dindane has been released by crystal palace after only appearing a few times this season. He loves the english league, and crystal palace can't have been paying him much to sit at home and watch the game on tele. So wages probably wouldn't be a problem. Yebda has had a season of injury problems, solo grenada might release him.

No chance, none whatsoever. Holmes in, yebda and dindane will not

Dindane hasn't played any proper footballl since leaving us three years ago and at 32 years of age doesn't really fit Pompey's player spec

Hopefully this will happen

Yebda like Dindane has not played regular football since leaving Pompey has suffered a ruptured Cruciate and also had knee surgery

Dindane was at palace for a couple of months, hollerway said in the press his fitness was no where near good enough, just look at the players Southampton have released. They would be a better bet.

Chelsea is set to sign Ac Milan Star Kevin-Prince Boateng for a 15 M

08 Jun 2013 02:00:55
Sanchez Watt, released from Arsenal, has offers from Plymouth, Northampton, Burton and Stevenage.

And Colchester, the club he will actually sign for

There is no chance that Sanchez-Watt will sign for a league 2 team, Stevebage maybe probably Colchester!

08 Jun 2013 20:37:49
Depends who offers most wages

08 Jun 2013 01:40:38
Walsall are in talks with Accrington Stanley midfielders Romuald Boco and Amine Linganzi, both are yet to sign new contracts at the crown ground as they look for better offers elsewhere

Walsall have also been linked with goalkeeper Paul Rachubka who was on loan at stanley last season from Leeds

We've had enough dire goalkeepers in recent times without signing another really poor keeper. We'll either sign a good young keeper like Ian McLoughlin or go for a season long loan of a promising keeper like Sam Johnstone of Man Utd.

08 Jun 2013 01:37:42
1.5 million pounds plus Nathan Tyson is the price being quoted for albert adomah by derby. a member of the Bristol city board confirmed this {Ed034's Note - they'd be mad to want Sicknote Tyson part of the deal

Adomah going to Burnley

Adomah won't be going to derby or burnley when he has offers from 2 prem clubs

Tyson might go to Bristol but unless we sell can't see us splashing that much cash.

Derby are not in for Adomah!

Also why would you want Tyson?

08 Jun 2013 11:41:43
I agree with you Ed I'd not have Sicknote Tyson! However, being a Derby fan we need him off our books.

Adomah will go to crystal palace. He is best mates with yanick bolassi, he wants to live in London and they are going to be in the prem next season.
I'm a derby fan and 1. We don't have the money for him 2. We need to get rid of a lot of players (Tyson, Robinson, Bailey and the goalkeepers to bring the wage budget down) 3. We already have players to play right wing so we don't need any more.

I'm sorry but the one of the places we need to strengthen is right mid so your last point was utter rubbish.

Why would Adomah go to a Championship club when Palace & Cardiff want him?

I would agree with all of that, except about our right wingers. We do have Ben Davies, but apart from that only Coutts (who is a CM, but only good on RM when Brayford plays it seems). So I would not say no to a quality right mid/winger, Adomah probably a bit pricey though.

Someone just buy him and then find out he's over rated

Honestly don't think we'll be playing with wingers next season. I expect a 4-3-3 formation with Hendrick, Hughes and Bryson in midfield and Russell, Sammon and Ward up front. To sign Adomah would be redundant.

The right side of three strikers/Wingers is AA natural position.

If he has a real weakness its that he doesn't do enough defensivly for a right sided midfielder in a 442. As a right sided forward I would expect him to highlight his attacking prowess without being shown up as often for not chasing back.

08 Jun 2013 00:25:20
Oxford United to sign Rene Howe on a free

Hasn't he signed for Carlisle? I thought he did.

08 Jun 2013 12:45:32
where did you here that thought he had signed for Carlisle?

I got told he did. Maybe he didn't

08 Jun 2013 00:09:43
