Use our rumours form to send us football transfer rumours.

Why does everyone keep talking about Owen to liverpool. Rafa Benitez has already said that he will not be buying Owen. So can everyone get real and move on.
The rumour i've heard recently is that Villa are looking to buy him as they think they could get him on the cheap as his Newcastle contract is also up.

Another rumour i've heard through one of my sources is that Liverpool are thinking about making yet another enquiry as to the availability of Jermain Defoe.
To the Geordies from the Scousers, a tip, this Michael Owen thing, he done the same to us, stalled on his contract talks and then left, you should prepare yourselves for his departure but personally i don't want him to return back here. We've moved on without him. Personally i thought he was brilliant for Rael Madrid but they erroneously kept him on the bench but since then he's been unhappy and unsettled. I think he might go to Arsenal.
Is it just me with wishful thinking being a hopeful liverpool fan, could Fernando Torres not try and convince sergio aguero to come to anfield??

Heard today that aaron lennon and jamie o'hara were ment to be coming to LFC in a part exchange for keane with spurs who would also give Liverpool £5m, would be good for Lennon and O'Hara to come to anfield but i don't really want keane to leave but if we could get Owen back then surly Keane would want to leave
Dennis Irwin is the sensational favourite to take over the Sunderland hotseat. Gary Pallister will be his assistant.

He will be given 30m to spend.

he will buy Sylvain Ebanks Blake for 4m, Panstil for 0.5m, Borriello for 5m from AC Milan, Leon Best for 1m, Balde for 3m and Youniss Tafer for 6m from lyon. FACT
Kris Boyd off to Birmingham + Marcus Bent?? Will the rumours about Boydey ever stop? Why would Rangers sell the SPL's top scorer. .he's Rangers only forward that scores regularly! Plus if Walter was gonna move him on he would have done it in the summer when he was frozen out. . Plus he's a bear through and through and made his desire to stay at the Gers for rest of his career,so forget it. .

Shankill Ally
Paul ince will be sacked as blackburn manager very soon and Avram Grant will be his replacment and will be given 10 million to spend in the next window and he will bring in Ben Sahar, Scott Sinclair Colin kazim richards and Wayne Routledge (loan)
Lukasz Zaluska will today officially turn down Dundee United's new contract offer and will move to Celtic in January in a deal worth £1.5 million. This could pave the way for Barry Robson making a quick return to Tannadice.
After his dismal display as sub against Birmingham, the new manager is extremely keen to sell Jobi McAnuff, to lower the wage bill. A couple of Scottish clubs are known to be very interested.
  Birmingham

Are you mental why would Kris Boyd will neva go to the championship a striker with his finishing abilaty could go any where boyd hes jist signed a 5 year contract hes going nowhere we would be stupid to let him go. and john flek isnt going anywhere either he is the highest paid youngster in scottish football earning 10000 a week and the only reason hes not playin is hes injured get a life big eck to get the sack.

rangers to sign

either berra or tonnel
lee wallace
and a left winger from italy not sure who.
Villa will take advantage of West Ham's financial predicament and sign Dean Ashton on the cheap. With potential buyers wary of Ashton's injury proneness and knowing that West Ham aren't in a position to negotiate. Also expect one of Kenwyne Jones or Roque Santa Cruz to arrive at Villa Park, with Everton also considering bids for both and Man City after Santa Cruz. If these fail, MON has highlighted Marco Borriello of AC Milan as a potential backup option. Rumours of Michael Owen leaving Newcastle for Villa/Everton/Liverpool/Chelsea/Man City are unfounded. He will run down his contract at Newcastle and leave on a Bosman in the summer. Same applies to Emile Heskey at Wigan. Also expect a swap deal with Marlon Harewood going to Wolves and Michael Kightly moving in the opposite direction. Zat Knight will be shown the door and will return to Fulham as O'Neill feels that he is the wrong fit for the Villa dressing room. Also expect one big 'landmark signing' at Villa as Lerner and MON want to show their intent to finish in the top 4. .various names have been mentioned, but most like are either Arshavin, Silva or most surprisingly, Andrea Pirlo. In Shiv we trust.
To the Brummie fan who thinks they will be signing Boyd & young John Fleck from Rangers.
Sorry to disappoint you my friend but in a recent interview, Boyd stated his desire to prove his worth this season at the club he loves, he seems to be getting his chance now and banging the goals in like we know he can. As long as he plays, he stays!
As for John Fleck, a Rangers fan who's father played for the team. Only 17 with recognised potential. He will shine in a Rangers jersey soon, as will Aaron who showed some neat touches against Hamilton on Sat.
Rangers will look to strengthen the defence only in Jan. Expect possible bids for Tonel & Berra.

3 in a rows as far as it gonna go!! WATP

To Mr Shaffer:– I must say I enjoy reading your witty musings and appreciate the fact that you encompass a range of teams, keep up the good work. . . . . HOWEVER, I was a little disappointed to hear of your hatred for my home team, Doncaster Rovers!
The Rovers have been a little unlucky this season, playing good football & often dominating games but seemingly unable to provide the killer touch in front of goal. I believe with our recent upturn in form we are capable of staying up this season.
More to the point, if Leeds continue to keep slipping up, they may just find themselves outside the playoffs again and having to sell all their young "starlets"

Beckford to the Rovers????? :)

Keepin it real. . . .Mr.J.R.Bluenose
There will be a huge race to sign Sergio Aguero in the summer. Clubs will bid for the exciting young Argentinian in January but he will remain at Atletico until the summer. Interested will be Man City, Liverpool, Barcelona, possibly Real Madrid, Inter and Chelsea. The cost will be around 50 mil, which will exclude Liverpool, possibly Barcelona, Inter and Chelsea from the race as these would not be willing to pay this amount of money. This would leave City and Real Madrid as the main contenders in the race, City the most likely to sign him.

Good news Rangers fans, Walters finally going to start using his fringe players. eg Maurice Edu, Aaron, John Fleck. Fleck and Aaron to bring some much needed flair on the wings and Edu to put some steel into the midfield since Thommos out. thanks guys, GERSno1
Ince is starting to pull together his excuses early, Apparantly people are out to get him. .Please tell us who? With a minus 14 goal difference and not much chance of getting out of the relegation zone by the new year Your Chairman has taken a massive risk. Expect a big lawsuit to follow him on his way out because he'll claim for anything and everything from you Blackburners. Great player, Lower league manager. Suggest he plies his trade in the lower leagues for a few more years. Oh and prepares his after match speal a bit better "If Only" can only stretch so far. He talks as if hes on acid.
Expect Tosic to move to United in January, with Ljasik (spelling) moving once he picks up his first cap for his country. No other signings expected. Should see Manucho and perhaps one other move out on loan to a bottom of the table Prem club.

Summer 09
Depending on Tevez transfer, either one or two of the following will be brought in.

Benzema–40mil (Fergie's #1 target and a perfect fit for the club)
Aguero– 35mil, will be bought if Tevez is allowed to leave

One of Di Maria, Ribery, Sanchez, or one of the much–talked about Brazillians will be brought in to add to our attacking midfield options. Expect SAF to make a determination on Nani at this point, possibly selling him on to one of the Milan teams. .
Has anyone got any Birmingham transfer rumours?
I don't know wether any of you heard but Everton could be in for a couple of big buys, and don't rule out the toffees swooping in and stealing a couple of star players from the big 4. Firstly they need a new striker and i've heard round the training ground the name Vanger Love floating around there even though chelsea are in for the purchase of the brazillian. This means CSKA need someone new which is why the blues are offering 17M plus Yakubu for him. Also Cahill isn't playing aswell as he should so were in the market for a new midfielder aswell i've heard Stephen Aphiah and James Milner are keen on a move to Merseyside. I'll keep another look around the place for any other names but keep us posted on any names going round. And aswell Larrson why you can get more pace out of Rick waller
Glasgow Rangers to seal there 52cnd title buy signing Tonel and Berra for 2 milion each, the deals will be funded by the sale of Madjic and Darcheville to Marseille for a fee in the region of £5 million! also expect Adam, Burke, Dailly, Beasly and Smith to leave!
DIC will not be taking over Liverpool in the near future, nor will Sheikh Mohammed as has reported in the Times. They're tired of Hicks & Gillett and will withdrawl their £500m offer which has been on the table for sometime. With Hicks & Gillett finances on unsure footing RBS(whom their loan to buy Liverpool will not be refinanced due to current economic climate), and will be forced to sell. Rick Parry is attempting to broker a deal between the two but it will not come to fruition. Liverpool are being touted to some big players Anil Ambani, Jim Walton (Walmart), and Robert Kraft( whom negotiations had started but failed 3 years ago)in hope of a quick fire sale. In terms of January activity – there will be more outs than in's. Jermaine Pennant will head to Portsmouth for £4m, Andrea Dossena will go the Juve for £4.5m, Lucas will go on loan to Fulham, Nabil El Zhar will go to Sunderland on loan, and Nemeth will go to Leeds on loan. A bid for Giorgio Cheillini will be made as well as Glen Johnson. Ryan Babel will play as a striker while Torres is out with Keane behind him. Keane has been told he is playing for his future and will be given till then end of the season to prove himself otherwise he's out.
I hate to be pedantic, but Manchester City Football Club is singular, therefore it is correct to say Man City is a rubbish club.
Joe Kinnear will try and make 11 (ELEVEN) new signings in January but the downside to that is they will also sell 13 players and they will be our better players.

The players that Joe is lloking to sign sign are:
F.Hall (QPR)
U.Ehiogu (Sheffield United)
C.Doyle (Birmingham City)
K.Bailey (Charlton Athletic)
T.Capaldi (Cardiff City)
H.Helguson (Bolton Wanderers)
E.Lewis (LA Galaxy)
M.Misfud (Coventry City)
A.Bangura (Watford)
G.Halford (Sunderland)
S.St Ledger (Preston North End)

The players that will leave will be:
S.Given
M.Owen
M.Viduka
S.Ameobi
N.Butt
S.Taylor
F.Colloccini
H.Beye
D.Guthrie
J.Barton
C.N'Zogbia
S.Harper
D.Duff

Sorry fellow Toon Army fans but doesn't seem well at St James'.
Rafa came out in the press recently saying Michael Owen was definitely not someone he would be making a bid for. Well, don't be surprises to see him in Red in Jauary. Stevie G and Carra have a lot of sway with the boss and are trying to persuade him to add Owen as they did two years ago with Robbie Fowler. This idea is gaining some credibility with Rafa because Robbie Keane continutes to missfire (although anyone saying he is leaving in Jan is very wrong. Rafa will give him plenty of time). More likely to be shown the exit door are Ryan Babel and Yossi Benayoun. Unfortunately neither of them have lived up to the very expectations placed on them. Liverpool can afford to buy one major player per year. 2 years ago it was Torres, last year it was Keane (at the expense of Barry) next year (not Jan, summer) it will be Segio Kun Aguero who will play on one of the wings. Probably the right. Finally, to dispel rumours around Xabi Alonso, he has played himself right back into Rafa's affections this year. Barry is no longer on the radar for Liverpool. The midfield is more or less where Rafa wants it. Thanks for reading.

Liverpool fans. .stop kidding yourselves Rafa will not bring Owen back to Anfield. Period. Why would he bring back a traitor who walked out on him??? I'd say Everton are the most likely team to get him. Lucas is not going anywhere except maybe on a loan to play more first team football. .he has captained Brazil under 20's and will be a regular in their first team in the future so why would Rafa let him go??? Only players leaving in Jan or summer are; Pennant and Itandje. Benayoun may go in the summer as he is not happy playing off the bench for the biggest club in the world. .he's better suited to starting for amid to bottom placed team like City or the hammers. . Barry may still be on Rafa's radar but don't expect him to come in until the summer as Rafa won't bring him in with Alonso in the team and Alonso won't go in January coz the Gaffa ain't gonna change something that isn't broken. . oh. .Keano ain't moving on either. . Rafa will try and bring in a striker and a Right back. .who knows who though? Bale is an option. .
Rafa is da MAN, da POOL is top of the league, Champions for sure, U heard it here FIRST! No one can say a single thing about Rafa– he is the total dogs!

That said, I thoroughly disagree with his assessment of both Lucas Levia and Degen. Both are effective players if used correctly, but he constantly uses them against themselves, in some sort of nightmare–ish Hegelian psyochodrama.

ON to da rumurz! Keane iz goin nowhere, will come good no doubts. Barry is devo comin', and a shock move to bring back Momo!

Mark my words!!

happy xmas all, Dave
