Nothing apart from Nicky Boy signing for Blackpool.

We have no one called Nicky. Some people need to sort out what they are chatting about and read what they are responding to. I'm sure you mean Bristol City.(1)(0)

"The other would cause massive upset if this plan goes through and to be honest, as an Ipswich fan, though I hate the thought of this player ever being a blue, he would be a great signing. NORWICH CITY skipper GRANT HOLT is being lined up for a summer transfer with Ipswich looking too throw up to 4million at the Canaries too tempt him away! Marcus Evans was impressed by him and how easily he demolished the Town defence in the recent Old Farm Derby, prompting a possible controversial bid."

No chance! Holt would never join the scum! Do some research too fella, Holt is 29 so why the hell would 'Hideaway' Evans pay £4million for him?! !(0)(5)

"Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson has dismissed links with Ronaldinho, Ashley Young and Luis Suarez."

Shucks. Even in the interview he gave. . Quotes.

"Ronaldinho and Suarez are players who we have never even thought about but I would think there is not a manager in the Premier League who has not given Ashley Young a thought at some stage or another, " said Hodgson."
"But giving a player a thought and thinking 'This is a good player' and signing him are two vastly different things.

"I could give you quite a long list of players in the Premier League who I admire and think are very good.

"But there is no truth in the rumour. If you are asking if there are any negotiations taking place between Aston Villa and Liverpool, then there aren't."

Sorry Pool fans. (6)(3)

Any Bristol Rovers news ahead of January Transfer Window?

Blackpool have entered the race to sign Rennes French full back Rod Fanni, although Fanni prefers Liverpool as his favourite destination, rather than Blackpool as he believes they don't like Fanni, and thinks he would not be welcome there.

I live between both these places &, believe me the fanni, (spelling) on Merseyside is far tastier than the fanni, (ditto) in Blackpool! ! !

As much as I'd like to see Shay Given coming to Parkhead, I really don't see it happening. He seems to me to be more interested in keeping his profile as high as possible by continuing to play in the Premiership. I am a Celtic fan and I, just like any person well read in football, know how great the history is and how highly regarded the club and the Old Firm rivalry is across the World, but I feel that the 4 matches against them in blue isn't enough to temp him North. Had we still been in Europe then maybe he would have came. He'll go to Fulham and end his career in England. He isn't a Roy or Robbie Keane who want to say they've played for the club - Shay has already done so at a younger age. We need to be realistic and look to Parieko of Tom Tomsk. He is a super talented keeper and someone who has voiced his desire to play for the club. Stop chasing no hopers and go for those who genuinely want to play for the badge.

Swindon are to bid for James Constable in January.

He will be Charlie Austin's replacement, as Charlie is off to Newcastle.

---------------------------------------------

I too have heard this. Also, Southend United striker Matt Paterson to join Oxford once Constable goes to Swindon which will allow Paul Sturrock to bid again for Elliott Benyion of Torquay or failing that a European based striker.

As for Chris Hughton to Ipswich - I don't think so!

From what I am hearing Swindon want both Constable and Benyion! Paterson is wanted by Bournemouth and Oxford and Constable is now also wanted by both Swindon and wait for it. . . . .Southampton!(16)(5)

to the person who wrote this rubish about lallana and chamberlain going to ipswich. IT IS NEVER GONNA HAPPEN, southampton is a much bigger club than ipswich regardless of where we are! chamberlain isn't going to leave for arsenal let alone ipswich, lallana if he goes will go to a premier league club or will stay with southampton. as for the price for the both of them, don't be silly chamberlain is a better prospect than theo walcott and he cost 12 million, so 5 million is out of the question! no truth in this at all!

-------------------------------------------------

In regards to the reponse on this rumour, Southampton a bigger club than Ipswich? Really? You're sure about that? OK lets compare trophies here and i think you will find that you lose in a big big way.
Ipswich is a bigger club than Southampton could ever dream of.
Mid Table in League 1? Big club you really are. In regards to Chamberlain and Lallana, don't get too ahead of yourself, if they are that good they would already be with a premier league team and not struggling with a lowly league football team.
Agreed they are talented but you have a long way too go too start comparing him too the likes of Walcott, who proved himself at Championship level at 16!
These 2 players will end up at championship sides before going to the premier league, so yes Ipswich could well be in contention along with other sides with a bit of cash if you're lot do not go up this year.

The only definite at Ipswich at the moment is Hughton as manager in the next few months, with the names of Ishmael Miller, Roman Bednar, David Somma, Luke Moore being only MENTIONED as targets among a big list of names. It will all depend how quick Hughton can clear the dead wood out of the team and how much faith he has in our own talented youngsters too who he signs.

cortese has already said that oxlade-chamberlain will not be leaving to any club as he is too young and is only 1 year into his proffessional contract.
as for adam lallana, cortese has stated that the chance of him leaving are very very slim and he's no scenario of him leaving. also we've had intrest from stoke and birgmingham so why on earth if he did go, would he go to you?(18)(4)

Quote: Jack rodwell to man utd in the summer for 20 mill SAF sees rodwell as a defensive mid with pace sumthin they don't have in the united ranks out in his place will carrick villa an tottenham are the front runners another man being linked with united is rangers shot stopper allan mcgregor SAF sees as a long term replacement for van der sar and could snap him up for as little as 8million: End Quote.
I think there will be more chance of Carrick flapping his arms and flying to the moon than him returning to WHL. I wouldn't doubt that Redknapp would take him but, considering all the foot stamping bordering on a flat refusal to play for Spurs until he was given his transfer to the Mancs, I can't see Daniel Levy giving that one the nod, let alone the supporters.
Villa? Will Houllier be there next summer to make that kind of move? Doubt it.
So that "rumour" is just another manc fantasy.(2)(33)

Spoke to a friend who was at dinner with mark hughes a few nights ago, and hughes told him that he has been given a significant amount of money to turn the teams fortune around. whilst he didn't give his name of targets out, he did say positions, and he did say he wanted to sign a few players, best info was that he wanted to sign a young cm from manchester (maybe m.johnson)

Taylor Twellman has spoken to Preston about a return to football, he has had minor problems with concussion, but at no point has any doctor or medical professional told Taylor
to hang up his boots or retire from the professional game.This was purely Taylor's decision- and its thought Pne are to be given first refusal on either a pay as you play deal or short term contract at Deepdale.His record for New England speaks volumes and its thought he wants a return to the game sooner rather than later.Brian Stock is also in the frame for a return to Deepdale.(20)(17)

(2 Kieran Westwood

Defender Options (1)K Wilson (DONE DEAL)
(2)Faye

Midfielders Options (1) Stephen Ireland

Forward Options (1) Robbie Keane
(2)Charlie Austin

to be honest im not sure what is in the air near celtic park or has some pepole sliped in the snow and banged there head. given is a non starter never going to happen ever. westwood maybe, wilson most likely, fay will prob go down to championshhip, ireland and N'zogbia are pepole being serious with this honestly there is not a chance of either of them comeing to play for celtic ever, keane been hear last year will not come back will go to fulham or aston villa or another team in prem but defo not celtic, austin is a slight chance but most likely to go to a top end of the table championship team celtic would be last option.

i honestly don't know why celtic fans get so carried away with these rummors if yous want to be realistic then aim for players that are likely to join your club. celtic are not a big club anymore neither is rangers they may be big in scotland but that's it. players see teams like cardif leeds west brom wigan wolves as bigger clubs with a better challange than the glasgow 2 as the standerd in the spl is is a joke and celtic and rangers are becomeing a joke down south and across europe. the best these two teams can get is a couple of reseve players from the epl or championship and a couple of forieng players.(15)(48)

The next couple games are crucial for Roy Hodgson if he is to be given any money to spend in Jan. Failure to close the gap on the top 4 will cost him the chance of making an offer for Bolton's Gary Cahill, who would be an ideal long term replacment for Carragher. Arsenal will also be linked with Cahill, but Wenger who is usually cold in the Mid season transfer market will probaly not look to strengthen until next season.

Last month, Cahill was openly honest in a sky sports interview that he wants to play for a 'big club' at a 'top level.' Which normally translates "Come and get me."

Wolves are weighing up a January raid on Newcastle for central defender Steven Taylor.Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has made plugging the holes in his leaky defence the number one priority in next month's transfer window.He is a huge admirer of Taylor, 24, whose long-term future at Newcastle is in doubt as he is out of contract at the end of the season.If the Magpies cannot persuade Taylor to sign a new deal, they could offload him for £2m next month.

IPSWICH TOWN LATEST!

Keane IS BEING SACKED! Chris Hughton has been contacted and been offered the job on a long term basis. However, IAN HOLLOWAY will be contacted if this should fall through with the Ipswich owner aware that Holloway is frustrated with the lack of funds that Blackpool has for him.
These players will definitly leave in either January or the summer.

Carlos Edwards - 400 - 600k
Kevin Lisbie - 200 - 400k (Free in the Summer)
Lee Martin - 500 - 800k
Pablo Counago - Free
Tamas Priskin - 800k - 1.2 million
Alan Quinn - 100 - 200k
Mark Kennedy - 25 - 50k
Brian Murphy - 500 - 750k
Connor Wickham - 6million - 9million (Loan back)
Damien Delaney - 400 - 500k
Gareth McAuuly - 600 - 800k
Colin Healy - 50 - 100k

These players will be loaned out at some point in the next 6 months ready for the new season.

Billy Clark
Reggie Lambe
Luciano Civelli
Ronan Murray

All players loaned in will go back to their parent clubs, with the exception of Andros Townsend and Jake Livermore who could possibly be part of the Connor Wickham deal, Townsend will be signed and Livermore loaned back too us for rest of the season and possibly next season too.

These are the players being targeted by Ipswich after the departure of Keane and the above players.

FWDS

Roman Bednar
Ishmael Miller
Peter Lovenkrands
Lee Novak
Luciano Becchio

2 players here, both strikers, may surprise you a bit.
Shefki Kuqi will rejoin Ipswich on loan when his loan with Derby expires after again expressing his love of Ipswich. This is with the option of a permanent deal if he hits the form he is capable of.
The other would cause massive upset if this plan goes through and to be honest, as an Ipswich fan, though I hate the thought of this player ever being a blue, he would be a great signing. NORWICH CITY skipper GRANT HOLT is being lined up for a summer transfer with Ipswich looking too throw up to 4million at the Canaries too tempt him away! Marcus Evans was impressed by him and how easily he demolished the Town defence in the recent Old Farm Derby, prompting a possible controversial bid.
Back too the list.

MID

Kieron Dyer
Jobi McAnuff
Gio Dos Santos (Again maybe part of the Wickham deal)
Neil Danns

DEF

Greg Halford
James Perch
Nathan Clyne
Clarke Carlisle
Frank Quedrue
Matthew Mills

GK
Andy Lonergan
Scott Loach
Frazer Forster

A reminder that these are the targets for Ipswich, not 100% transfers but be prepared too see some of these faces in an Ipswich shirt in the next 6 months. They are all very possible and realistic targets for Hughton who will be given a nice amount of money too play around with on top of the profit he makes from seliing the listed players.

This is only a rumour I have heard but also that Fabien Wilnis may be joining the coaching staff, youth maybe?

Interesting times at Potman Road at the minute.(13)(52)

I would not read too much into Suarez goals in the Eredivisie, does anybody remember Alfonso Alves who used to play for Middlesbrough Football Club, he was the leagues top goal scorer (I think he netted 7 in one game?) Do not let Suarez goals tally be a smoke screen for potential buyers.

Swindon played off the park by Crawley and they say Burnley have no chance of signing Charlie Austin because they are a "small club" No wonder Austin can't wait to move in January. Big bust up in the dressing room last night involving Austin and now more determine to get away than ever before, .

~~~
When are you going to leave Charlie Austin alone. Burnley fans have to accept that he is not going to sign for you and rumours of the bust up at Swindon are totally false.
Stick to talking about things you know about before posting rubbish.(13)(20)
These are the options drawn up by the Celtic board so far, i can confirm that Wilson will be signed up in January. Also these are just options, Celtic won't be signing them all but i can confirm that they are seriously interested in S Ireland and will almostly certainly sign K Westwood, it'l be a pre contract if Forster stays. Given is the first choice but wages are the problem at the moment. That might change though as everything is up in the air at the moment, nothing is finalised apart from Wilson and Samaras leaving for about £800,000.
Gary O Connor is pure $%£$ i can confirm that Celtic will not be making a bid for him 100%.
