>>Nani could be going to Benfica and "Hulk" will be coming the other way according to them. >>

Hulk actually plays for Porto. Nani plus cash (around 15m) would be accepted as Hulk is worth 25m€.

LFC now looking at Luca Cigarini (9m), Alex Sanchez (15m) and Vincenzo Iaquinta (10m).

I have read this board with interest since the transfer window opened and I have had a real good chuckle at the Scottish Premier League "rumours".

As it happens I work for a national newspaper in Scotland, and I work alongside the chief sportswriter on a daily basis.

I'll summarise to keep it simple for some of the fantasists on here.

Starting in Glasgow.

Celtic are tying up deals to take unwanted quartet Barry Robson, Gary Caldwell, Willo Flood and Chris Killen to Middlesbrough for a combined fee of £2million, rising to £3m if clauses kick in. Aiden McGeady is not for sale, however both Birmingham and Sunderland have made tentative enquiries and Tony Mowbray may be tempted to accept a deal, which would see him handed a massive transfer kitty. Darren O'Dea is in line for a loan move to Hibernian, who see him as a perfect replacement for the absent Sol Bamba, any move would be reliant on John Hughes having first option on the Irishman in the summer.
Elsewhere, Rangers are stepping up their efforts to secure Kris Boyd on a new long term contract. It's believed that only severe interference from his agent Mark Donaghy could prevent Boyd from signing the deal. Meanwhile, Rangers could well find themselves under new ownership as early as February, as a South African based business man is finalising a bid which is believed to be in the region of £17million, very little of which would go to current owner Murray, instead going directly to Lloyds TSB who have came up with a payment plan that would allow Rangers to pay a lump sum up front and have the balance of the overdraft written off as "bad debt".

In Edinburgh.

Hearts have been scuppered in their bids to sign Izale McLeod and Steven McLean as owner Vladimir Romanov is refusing to sanction any new signings until Lazslo's previous signings prove their worth. Watch out for an audacious bid for Kilmarnock hitman Kevin Kyle if the Ayrshire club continue to hog the bottom 3.
Hibs, as previously stated have shown interest in Darren O'Dea, after moves for Darren Barr of Falkirk and Russel Anderson of Sunderland were rejected. Gomis of Dundee Utd is being muted out for Easter Rd but will probably have to wait til the summer due to financial constraints.

I will do my best to keep you posted on the latest happenings in Scotland, but I have to protect my job.

Off the Record ;)

Derby county manager has got till the end off the month too save his job !

I know the someone quite high at the club and they have said it was not in the agreement to still be so low down the table since there last meeting in november and injuries to key players was the reason he got the benifit off the doubt but since then key players have come back and derby's results have still not got them out off the relegation mix. They have started a manger shortlist as they don't expect him too improve.

D

These are'nt happy days at prideless park .non league nige was warned before xmas that if he does'nt start getting away results his job is under threat .as its turned out they can't get a result at home .expect brian laws to take his place very soon as the board want someone who is used to working with no money

Celtic to make a £1 million bid for St Mirrens Billy Mehmet on Monday morning.

Scott McDonald to sign for Bolton.

Nigel Clough has walked out of Derby after defeat today 1–4 to Scunthorpe.

Dundee will sign Willo Flood on loan as mowbrey doesn't think he will get enough games at Middlesborough. FACT

"Jose Mourinho will be the New Manager in the summer 2010"

Probably, at the rate city get through their managers. Heard he was considering a return to the premierleague aswell.
Bellamy to Bolton? I've never been a fan of his, but he has really impressed me at City. He is the sort of player we need, but I think Coyle needs to bring in players that can adapt to the "Bolton" approach to football.
Im pretty sure Owen will raid former team Burnley for some talent. Smarty pants Clark Carlisle is a possibility and it is rumoured that Chris Eagles has attracted interest. No wonder.
Former Bolton target Miguel Veloso is once again under alot of scrutiny, this time from Spurs. £9m or £10m should seal it, Harry.
Any rumours on job vacancies for Gary Megson?

Expect Snodgrass and Addison to sign for Forest in 10 days time.

My girlfriends grandfather works at Glasgow Airport, and apparently David Healy has arrived today with what looks to be his agant (his words). Now I doubt he will be going to Celtic, which leaves signing for boyhood heros Rangers the only option.

A group of 6 chinese people are putting together a £1 billion bid to buy out United from the glazers.
Wayne Rooney will be offered a new 5 year deal which will see him at Old Trafford until Summer 2015. He will get a total of £140,000 a week and will become the United skipper next season after the World Cup.
United are going to try for Frank Ribery in the summer after the world cup with a £45m take it or leave it bid. If Bayern leave it then they will turn to David Silva of Valencia for a fee of around £25m.
Nani is definately going to be sold or part exchanged as news of the world was hinting at last week. Nani could be going to Benfica and "Hulk" will be coming the other way according to them.
Nemanja Vidic is going no where. People keep linking him away from Old Trafford but Vidic has said himself that he has had no bust up with SAF. He was injured during training and that's why Brown replaced him in the game against Leeds. SAF told the fans at a press conference this week that Vidic should be back within 10 days but no news on Rio. I think he could retire through his injury at the end of the season. Chillieni is being linked with United and I think he would be a great replacement if Rio does indeed retire.
A new goalkeeper is on the cards in the summer aswell. Manuel Neuer and Igor Akinfeev are being constantly linked and either of these would be a great signing.
Most signings as you will see in time will happen after the WC in the summer. The plan for january was to confirm the signing of Ljajic but of course this will not be happening anymore.

Stoke in :
Jamie Ohara 3m
Rodallega 9m ( + fuller going other way)

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will be the suprise new choice as manager of Burnley. You heard it here first!

To Brumster. Are you sure you've been working at the right ground? Pride Parks undersoil heating seems to be working fine as the Derby game is 1 of only 3 in the championship that has not been called off. Think I'll take your "information" about transfers/tax inspectors with a big pinch of salt.

Derby IN:
Danny Buijs from Ado Den Haag
John Brayford from Crewe
Francis Coquelin or Gilles Sunu from Aresnal

Rio Ferdinand is to announce his shock resignation from professional football after he was unable to recover from his long term back injury. You heard it here first!

Jim Paterson (250K – Hearts)
Jamie Mackie (2 Million – Derby)

I've heard that Kevin Kilbane could be on his way to Newcastle on loan with a view to permanent move on promotion if his move to Wolves fails

This information will be quite unique for this site because it is true.

Billy Davies transfer targets are: Kilgallon, Wilshere, Senderos, Best and Adam. Both Charlie Adam and Leon Best will be revealed next Tuesday at 3pm. Wilshere should sign on loan in time to play Reading.

Miguel Veloso 2 join Tottenham, + Pavlychenko heading in exchange 2 sporting lisbon.

With Philip Degen on the bring on following Voronin and Dossena out of the Anfield exit door, Rafa Benitez is set to add to his £1.5 million capture of winger Maxi by adding cover in defence with versatile Right Back Richard Stearman from Wolves. The England 22 year old will cost Liverpool £5 million, using the rest of the money gained from sales. Rafa will complete his January spree by bringing in a striker available on a FREE or LOAN – it will be one from either Henry, Van Nistelrooy or Gudjohnson unless a sale of Babel goes through for over £10 million in which case he will bid for Klaas Jan Huntelaar or Roman Pavylchenko.
=v1=

Blackpool FC:

No first team players will be leaving Bloomfield Road in January except for Ash Eastham who shall return to Cheltenham at the end of the month on an end of season loan.

Danny Mitchley, Mark Halstead and Lewis Almond too shall be allowed to move out on load if an offer comes in, however the players will only be sent to clubs in the North–West. (Fleetwood, Barrow, Southport the most likely takers)

Blackpool will make another attempt to sign Simon Francis from Southend (although the player rejected a move earlier last week).

Blackpool are also in the market for Danny Shittu however Bolton are reluctant to accept a loan deal unless Blackpool can up their current offer of 30% wages to 50%. This is unlikely.

Strikers on Holloways wish list include:

Gergely Rudolf, Adabeyo Akinfenwa and Danny Kedwell and potential loan offers for Morten Rassmussen (Brondby) and Patrick Agyemang (QPR)

My niece works with a well known broadsheet. She tells me the word on the street is that Tony Adams will make a shock appearance as Manager next week when Investment is finalised. Notts Have already tied up Brendan Moloney, Daniel Jones as permanent signings. Look out for Portsmouth connection for Steve Finnan to get a hero's welcome back at the lane with a mystery forward tied up by previous manager Hans Backe.

You heard it here first.

Aston Villa are preparing a swap deal with Bristol City , Harewood for Maynard , he will become a backup striker for AVFC.

Gary Caldwell and Barry Robson are two very average football players. Tony Mowbray does not rate them and couldn't wait to sell them. Both are ditherers on the ball; they are indecisive and get caught out too often. Celtic are well rid. Middlesbrough will not benefit one iota from their inclusion. Watch and see. Bolton's new manager, Owen Coyle, may yet try to lure Caldwell to the Reebok Stadium.

Paul Lambert will stay at Norwich City until the end of the season. Birmingham's Alex McLeish will once again try to entice Celtic to sell Aiden McGeady, valued at £10 million. However, Celtic remain adamant that McGeady ( Celtic's best player ) is not for sale and McGeady says he will not leave Celtic for Birmingham City.

I got told that sven as been in talks with richard branson about buying notts county or buying in to notts county

Swindon Town are set to use there links with glenn hoddle and snap up two players from his academy in spain, they are Centre Back Nick Beasant who has been playing in america and a highly rated winger called Juan Sebastian Pegalajar, (shortened to 'Juanse') whose last club was real jaen cf in spain.
Also expect Ferry loan to be extended to end of season. And Hutchinson will prob return to celtic so expect swindon to lodge bids for two strikers, probably one will be a loan. Aljofree also set to leave on a free transfer, likely destination is cheltenham, or possibly stockport as he is from that area and wouldn't mind moving back. Also Callum Kennedy could join salisbury on loan along with nathan thompson, to get first team games. And young goalie Mark Scott to join Gloucester City on a free transfer. Casal, Marshall and Jesionkowski will all be made available for a loan move. And lastly goalscoring sensation Charlie Austin will be offered a 3 year contract before the season has finished.

Therefore expect the swindon squad to look like this:
GK's Lucas Smith Jesionkowski

RB's Amankwaah Thompson

LB's Sheehan Jean–Francois Kennedy Casal

CB's Greer Cuthbert Morrison Beasant Casal

RM's McGovern Marshall Pegalajar

LM's O'Brien Ward Timlin Pegalajar

CM's Douglas Ferry Easton Timlin Peacock Hammonds

CF's Paynter Austin Peacock Ward + 2

Celtic will sign the following by Monday , Semir Stilic and Jos Hooiveld. Combined fee of around £2.5–3 Million. Celtic will aslo try and sign Stilic's team mate striker Robert Lewandowski who is keen on a move to Celtic. Finally Mowbary will look to bring in one more CB as McManus is being offered to clubs , this may be Ottesen or St.Ledger on loan with an option to buy!!
People who say Keane will come are very wrong! He might come but if he ever does it will be in 3 or 4 years when he is past it , he still cuts it in the EPL and whilst he continues to do that he will be going nowhere!!
So to conclude
IN:
Stilic
Lewandowski
Hooiveld
St.Ledger
OUT:
McManus
Caldwell
Robson
Flood
Killen

Paul Lambert will ask Norwich for permission to speak wth burnley chairman barry kilby...if they so no hell quit norwich

West ham will be signing brian stock from doncaster rovers for 1m + oliver lee will go in opposite direction as part of this deal...this will be common knowledge next thursday

I work in Lennoxtown and Sol Campbell has arrived with Robbie Keane

Trust Me

Kuranyi will not be going to sunderland!.. he has gentlemens agreement with birmingham!.. that if schalke do not qualify for europe at end of season & birmingham do.. he will sign for for us!.. aswell as signing up chucho perm for 8m.. and k.jones!.. steven whittaker 3m.. del horno 5m..hart for season long loan again.. bent, phillips, carsley, mcsheffery, 2 taylors, will all be sold..

Crystal Palace midfield ace Scott Danns will follow Jose Fonte to Southampton within the next 3 days. Fonte signed for Saints last night and the cash strapped Eagles look set to cash in on some of Southampton's cash. He will cost the Saints around £800,000.

Coventry's Elliot Ward is to dicuss personal terms with Saints on monday.

Simon Gillet is concidering a free transfer to Doncaster Rovers after a loan spell at the Championship club. As part of the deal Saints will get a 50% sell on claus of the former youth skipper.

Wayne Thomas can now complete his loan move to Plymouth until the end of the season with Saints paying half his wages during his spell at Home Park. The signing of Fonte and the expected signing of Ellliot Ward means the ex Burnley skipper is out in the cold at St.Marys.

Celtic close to signing Sean st Ledger after letting Caldwell go, bad move for the club, st Ledger cld b a good signing but letting your best defender go half way thro the season is shocking, we shld hav bn givin him top wages as he is one of our top men n has been for 3 seasons, robson flood n killen no great loss, ki has signed n hopefully a striker 2 follow. U.T.R

Once Atletico Madrid has completed the signing of Toto Salvio from Lanus, it is very likely that the sale of Sergio Aguero to Chelsea will be completed sooner rather than later. It has been well and accurately reported that there are still some hurdles to be crossed over (a) agent fees – rather than salary as alluded to previously, and (b) Atletico asking for the player to be loaned back to them for the remainder of the season. No doubt these matters will be resolved. Sharkey

James McArthur will replace Mendes at the PEOPLES Stadium.
W.A.T.P.

Arsenal news:

Reports on Zarate being the subject of a 40 million euro bid from Arsenal are well wide of the mark, Wenger dismissed a £20 million transfer for Gignac as too expensive; therefore a potential £36 million deal for the uncapped formed Birmingham loanee is a million miles away from the truth.

Despite Wenger dismissing a potential transfer for Carlton Cole, on Friday evening, with one bookmaker he was odds on to join the Gunners before Jan 31.

A hugely ironic transfer negotation could begin to take place as Bordeaux are wanting to sign Senderos this month. If the Gunners will stump up £1.5 million plus Senderos then Chamakh could be their man this month.

And finally... Sol Campbell will almost certainly join a Premier league club this month, with Arsenal favourites to sign him on a 18 week contract.

Newcastle are gunna sign beckford at the start of next week for 6million. they are also gunna sign kilgallon even though he said he rules out a january move. Beckfords replacement at elland road will be lee barnard from southend for 1.5mill.

HEARTS FC
Simon grayson may be approached about burnley job – he may not take it.
Csaba L, may be offered leeds job if he does.
They admire him.

Now that the hmrc bill has been settled at cardiff city, the club will buy players but due to the debts will have to buy from lower down the leagues.

simeon jackson, danny whitaker, chris taylor and peter clarke are the four players lined up by dave jones and he will sell enckleman and hudson.

jones also wants to bring in either iain turner or ex man city 'keeper kevin ellegaard in as the new first choice 'keeper.

jason harris, pontyblue

Nottingham Forest will confirm the signing of Nicky Shorey and Radoslaw Majewski for the combined price of £3m. Forest manager Billy Davies will continue his January splurge in an attempt to bolster his squads Premier League push by capturing Jack Wiltshire (Arsenal, loan), Gareth Bale (Tottenham, loan), Horst Rajikz (Sparta Prague, £2m) and Keyzer Soze (Athletico Madrid, £1.25m)

Out of the door go Arron Davies (Leeds, £100k), Joe Garner (Crystal Palace, loan), James Perch (Portsmouth, £2.5m), Andrew Silence (Released) and Radoslaw Majewski (Polonia Warsaw, £1.5m)

Don't be surprised to see manager Billy Davies' sister–in–law Regina join the club as a physio.

Paul lambert to be new burnley boss
gary megson will take over at norwich.

MAN UNITED!!!
To all peeps saying that the Glazer's used the Ronaldo's transfer 80 mil. to pay debt, It's not true. First of all my source are coming from a person who works for the Glazer's in Tampa, Florida. He was saying that all the money coming from the transfer will not be used to pay the debt. The money is still there with David Gill. Here's a FACT, before the Glazer's took over United Sir Alex had a one on one talk with the Glazer's family SAF told them that all the money from transfer can not be used to pay ANY debt, SAF knows back then that United will have a big debt so SAF made the Glazer's not to touch the transfer money.

Now, my source said that SAF and D. Gill is already in talks with 3 players but we don't know yet if the three are coming this January. One more report that there are two highly rated players one from Spain and France wants to transfer to Old Trafford. D. Gill and SAF advice their agents not this January because their parent club will ask for high price–tag. SAF advice them to wait till summer.

Last scoop from my source that EPL asked two consultants in the U.S.A. to draft a salary cap system for EPL. Take note there are 16 clubs in both premeir and championship league owners want to explore the salary cap system similar to NFL in the U.S. don't be alarm because this is only proposals. My source will get the draft proposal next month and yes i will share it to you guys.

ciao

Cardiffs joe ledley could be on his way to celtic its early days in talks as he is out of contract in summer he is free to talk to clubs

Arsenal don't simply need a target man to win the league.

players like David Villa, David Silva still have more ability than any target player you can buy.

also blaise matuidi, and mamadou sakho will join in the next year

Rangers fans denying trouble, Man U fans disguised as Celtic fans.... all a little far fetched is it not.... The fact is trouble has blighted both English and Scottish Football, but of recent times Rangers have repeatedly been naughty but never accept any blame whatsover which is why they cannot be taken seriously and cannot be sold. Yakubu to Celtic for 12 mill yes that's a defo...lol Boyd will leave Rangers as they can't afford to pay him properly and I believe Barry Ferguson ex Rangers captain has advised him to jump at the chance especially with the current managment working with no contracts. Football is fickle and we fans are also fickle, so the sensible option would be to sort yourself out regardless. From Celtic McGeady will be leaving as well turning down 10 million for someone worth 5 maybe 6 at the most FACT or maybe just a sensible OPINION.... Any truth in the rumour of Bellamy to Bolton?
______________

Come on, man! If you're gonna slag make a good job of it!

When exactly have we supposedly "denied" trouble? Never accepting any blame? Pffft. And Celtic sweeping the rememberance day stuff under the carpet isn't, is it?

I think you should be concerned about why you couldn't beat a Rangers team missing 5 first team players tbh!

Anyway...Mendes to Sporting Lisbon for 1.5m, Boyd etc. on new contracts.

7 points clear, happy new year!

I have got information from some agents and this is what I have been told on good authority.

Liverpool– The delay in the transfer of Maxi Rodriguez to Liverpool is due to a clause in Maxi's cuurent contract that is being disputed between him and Atletico. This should be rectified over the weekend and expect Maxi to be in the stands watching the Reading game as a Liverpool player on Wednesday night. AC Milan have been in contact with Liverpool about signing Diego Cavalieri but Rafa apparently knocked them back. The talk about Adam Federici is a load of rubbish. Ryan Babel will only leave Liverpool to go to a top team in Europe, preferably back to Ajax.

Burnley– Burnley have made a list of potential new managers including Alan Curbishley, Steve Coppell, Dave Jones, Billy Davies, Chris Coleman and Paulo Souza. Apparently the board are split between Sousa and Coppell.

Man Utd– Man Utd will not be spending much money if any this transfer window. The truth is the club are in the same situation as Liverpool and are totally skint but there financial difficulties are less publicised. Yes they raised £80million from Ronaldo but that was used to pay off the debts. Although the clubs makes the most money, most of this is used to pay off the extremely large debts and interest the Glazers hold. Ferguson gets a percentage of the total profits every Summer for transfers and that's it.

Man City– Expect another two signings at least for City. Mancini is apparently unhappy at the defensive part of the team and has lined up Boateng of Hamburg to shore up the defence. A move for Maicon is a possibility, but the chances of signing him will be great in the Summer.

Tottenham– Robbie Keane and Roman Pavlyuchenko will not leave this month. Harry knows he potentially has the best striking options in the league and doesn't want to lose either player. The only danger of this is that the value of both players will decrease due to lack of playing time and goal scoring. Another midfielder could be signed after Harry was turned down by Patrick Vieira both in the Summer and during talks in November

To the person who wrote this "Im a taxi driver and i have just picked up Sol Campbell from glasgow airport and droped him off at Rosshall hospital. He assured me that Robbie Keane was also coming that was the only reason he was signing". why would a taxi man bring a dope like you to pick up Sol Campbell..just admit your talking out ur arse. An for Robbie Keane why would he leave da EPL for the most mickey mouse league in the world. If he goes anywhere it will be to Aston Villa or Sunderland.
As a United supporter I have to admit we need to buy big now if we are to have any chance of winning anything this season an I think there will be two big signings in January.

In: David Villa & Hulk and i would love to see da silva as nani is an absolute joke.
Out: Berbatov worse buy in United's history, 30million down the drain when fergie could have put 10million on top of this for David Villa or Benzema. Willl be lucky to get 10 back for him.

BIG NEWS SET TO COME OUT OF PARKHEAD NEXT WEEK

Celtic will bring in about £3 million from deals involving Robson and Caldwell with Killen and Flood going out on loan. This will give Mowbray £12 million to spend in January to catch the champions Rangers. Mowbray is still aiming to offload with McMannus, McCourt, McGinn, Mizunio and McGeady all available at the right price. Mogga is seriously trying to get Robbie Keane but this all depends on what happens at Tottenham with Harry trying to bring in Bellamy. If Keane transfer goes ahead it will be a £7 million deal. Titus Bramble and Michael Duberry will be brought in for a combined £2 million to replece celtic legend Gary Caldwell and McMannus. Mowbrays last piece of business will be to sign Rory Delap for £10 million.

Villa news:
my brother works at the reception at villa park and has told me that he saw MON talking about jenas, keane, hutton and bentley.
this is part of a swap deal for young and carew with spurs giving us £5 million aswell.good deal for us villians.
this was later made more certain when the news occured that barcelona want james milner but are giving him back to villa on loan untill the world cup.
and the other piece of gossip buzzing around villa park is that we are signing roddelaga from wigan for £5 million, the money we get from spurs.

you heard it here first

your gonna hear this here 1st!! you talk utter tosh!! do you honestly think harry would give four squad players for a return of two and give £5m on top?? so where is this £5m coming from because he spent his full budget in the summer!! proper numpty... now for some real rumours, harry has over priced pav for a leave in this jan window. don't expect any movement at spurs this window at all. liverpool are looking as usual at cheap deals. rafa has been told that most of the money he gets will be put into the club and he has been told to blood the youngsters at the club, hence spearing, darby, kelly, pacheco and ayala gettin pushed through.

Hibs manager John Hughes is a contender to replace Gary Johnson should Bristol City's poor run continue. City face a tricky FA Cup the at home to Cardiff on Tuesday and have dropped away from the play off chase. Chairman Steve Lansdown has told Johnson that no transfer funds are available unless he first off loads members of his squad. The ambitious Championship club has endured a disappointing first half of the season despite significant investment during the summer transfer window. Paul Hartley is likely to be offered a player/coching role.
