Leeds United to keep Jermaine Beckford after they gained promotion to championship but will cost them 20k week in wages. Obviously changes need to be made, i think the arrival of Dida will mean we have good reliable back up that can be used in the early stages of the Cups or is Reina was to get injured – I think having Cavalieri as back up isn't any good as he keeps thinking he has a chance to break in ahead of Reina, which clearly isn't going to happen with the form Reina's been in.
I think we need to get some cover for Glen Johnson – and in Micah Richards i think we would have that solid cover. Also Richards is as useful at Centre back as well as Right back – so if one of our Centre backs was to get injured this would be useful.
I think buying Maxwell from Barcelona would be a very useful signing, he has made nearly 30 appearences this season for Barca and is a very solid player – who likes to get forward.
With Maxi settling it an Anfield i think its important for someone to put pressure on him – and in Claudio Marchisio i think we would have that; he is a very creative player and if full or ideas, and with Juventus not playing in Europe next season i expect some of there big starts to move on.
With our main strength being in Centre midfield – the arrival of Jonjo Shelvey will be a good one as he a strong player who doesn't give up.
Left midfield is the main position that Liverpool have struggled with in recent years, and i think Ludovic Obraniak is the ideal player needed. Our number one target would be David Silva – but with Rafa likely to go i guess that interest will be forgotten.
Upfront is a position in which Liverpool have struggled in this season; a lot, and with Torres' fitness here and there, i think the new manager should re–inforce at least 2 more strikers – as well as Serbian Milan Jovanović who's arriving on a free agent from Standard Liege in the summer, i think we need a 'Crouch type' striker – and i think we will find that in Nikola Zigic – who has a similir frame but is more useful with his head. Zigic isn't getting regular football at Valencia and would cherish a move to Liverpool. The final part to the squad would come in Brandao; who plays for French Champions Marsielle – he is like Rooney – very aggressive and a handful for defenders.
With all these players coming into the squad, obviously it means players will have to come out of it.

My next door neighbour is friends of a senior person at Bramall Lane and has told me that Blackwell will be moving into a support role and making way for Gary Speed to take over at the helm.
Evans will be kept as McCabe wants to see him fulfill the potential that the club paid to see, and Henderson will be offloaded to free up wages. Heading into the Lane will be Dele Adebola and Jonathan Greening has been pencilled in for talks, although wages are expected to be the stumbling block.

Any Sunderland rumours? I'm fed up of reading about how Liverpool are going to spend all this money which they obviously haven't got and all the top players that are coming in despite no champions league. It's the same with arsenal, wenger never spends money and will probably only bring in 3–4 players however one of these will be a big signing. Oh and my last word goe to all those newcasle fans out there thinking they are world beaters and are going to sign top quality players in there 1st season back in the big time. The fact is Big mike has promised you a 15m budget which of course won't buy you much when you need to buy at least 7–10 decent prem players to stay up, because all you have at the minute is a championship squad! So Sunderland rumours will be welcomed.

Chelsea were better than 19 other teams, made history and showed their credentials. The big teams made a few big moves in the week including the monster bid made by City for David Luiz and Angel di Maria, the bid was accepted but Angel and David get to determine their own future. Real Madrid are ready to make a raid on United's backline targeting Evra and Vidic. Barcelona are trying to assemble enough money to bid for Diego Perotti or Jesus Navas. Yes Ibrahimovich cost Barca around £70M but it's clear that he is no longer wanted at the Nou Camp. Just look at the game against Inter, he was taken off with 20 minutes left to play and he doesn't fit into Barca's system. I also said that Wenger was interested; which means he has made an enquiry, I didn't say it was a done deal. If Ibra went to Arsenal then of would be for around £30M. There's no way Fabregas would be going as part of the deal although he may be a Catalan player next season.

I really can't see Joe Cole moving to Spurs and I am pretty sure that he will resign for Chelsea. What Spurs are going to need is another central defender. Dawson has had another great year but reliance on Ledley King cannot go on for much longer. With Bale moving to midfield I would assume that at least on of the Kyle's will be available to provide cover.
If they could get either Craig Bellamy or Nicolas Anelka I think Harry Redknapp will have done very well. Sharkey.

Craig Levein to leave his job as Scotland national boss to return to domestic football with Celtic after only one game..
There is also a possibility of him reuniting with assistant boss Peter Houston. Houston is CLs part time assistant at Scotland and caretaker at Dundee United after Levein's departure at christmas.
Celtic will have to fork out to get both bosses: Levein has a long term contract with Scotland and Houston is contracted as United assistant boss until 2012. United look set to offer him the full time managers contract but Craig Levein, having spoken to him personally, think he can tempt Houston to Celtic with the possibility of becoming 'legends' at the club and being there for a long time.
Houston also stands to gain more money as Celtic's assistant than United's full time boss.
Talks not to start until at least Monday the 17th as United have a cup final weekend.

Not so much a rumour but more a case of deduction.
With the sudden interest in young domestic players (particularly scottish), I believe that agreement will be reached for Rafa to leave the club and be replaced by Dalglish.
It seems strange that we're not making any noises about signing spanish/continental players and that Rafa hasn't yet been given any sort of budget, yet we're still forking out for Shelvey/Wilson/Fleck?
Hopefully, we'll have a go at signing McGeady too. We can only hope..

I have some news regarding Liverpool, Manchester United, Man City and Newcastle.
Firstly I happen to know that Sir Alex has 3 key targets he wants to bring to Old Trafford in the summer. Those three players are David Silva, Karim Benzema and Luka Modric. It's unlikely that Benzema will leave Madrid this summer but Silva and Modric will definitley be Man Utd players next season.
Benitez will stay at Anfield and a new owner should be at the club between June and July, Rafa will sell certian players as soon as the transfer window opens. This is because he wants to make an early move for Valenicas Juan Mata, Rafa will try and sign the big players early on so he is not involved in a bidding war. Riera will most likely go to Villareal but don't be surprised if he goes to Valencia as part of the Mata deal. Young Rangers defender Danny Wilson is also close to signing for the reds, expect him to be a Liverpool player within the next few weeks.
Man City will once again be spending big, I'm 90% certian Ashley Young will be a City player next season. Also expect City to be bidding for Aguero, Vucinic and Xavi.
And finally Newcastle will sign Leeds striker Jermain Beckford, However Kevin Nolan may be an Everton player come the summer.

I can confirm that fabregas will not be leaving barca. he was asked today (yesterday in spain time) by a spanish sports channel when he will be signing his contract at barca due to the rumors that popped around 2 days ago. he said what contract ? i am at arsenal till 2014 however i plan to extend that contract. i owe arsenal for making me who i am today not barca (supposedly because barca sold him to arsenal for cheap and told him he was not good enough for them).
HOWEVER van persie and arshavin one of them could leave for barca.
arshavin fits the bill for the left wing/ left forward and would be cheap. arshavin has never hidden the fact that he is not loyal to arsenal and would love to join barca.
van persie altough loyal, does not like the physical league that is the english premier league and he gets injured all the time because of that. he would cost barca around 45million atleast (probably 55mil after the world cup or more). wenger has admitted that injurys are a big concern at arsenal and he is looking to offload some of the injury prone players such as djorou, rosicky and gallas.
in other news liverpool signed a new centreback forgot his name for cheap.

It is also rumoured that a dubai investor is looking to buy the other 50% of West Ham, this will massivley help the club as the debt can be reduced further and a descent transfer kitty can be made.
I think it is highly unlikely West Ham will get the Olympic Stadium as they face bids from other parties who are willing to put alot more money into the development of the site to a multiple–sport arena.

Looks like Rio has the next few weeks to prove his fitness to Fabio before naming his final squad. Terry, Carragher & King are already certs.
