Wolves news:

Heard from someone close to the club that the new managerial line up for next season will be current Walsall manager Dean Smith as head coach and former Leeds boss Neil Warnock as director of football.

10 May 2013 04:14:32
You havin a laff lol funniest thing I've heard allday. Deano ain't going anywher mate!

He won't go to a team where he will have less money than at walsall

Haha all the best that won't happen

We have Thelwell been placed in charge of footballing operations so I can't see Warnock coming dof. As for Dean I have no idea if Wolves want him do you honestly think he would turn the job down? As for no money our parachute payment is larger than any other teams turnover in the division.

He may get more money but steve morgan won't let him spend it

huddrsfield in talks with norwich and leicster for james vaughan and jermaine beckford but if one deal falls through town will look into bringing in dwight gayle from peterborough

Sounds very much like Beckford is off to Bolton and Vaughan agent is going to price Town out of it.

Ha ha! why would he go to the non believer's when villa has have made a 4 million bid according to todays papers. premiership or near bottom of the championship I know where I would go!

Leeds youngster Sam Byram looks set to join Manchester City on a 6 million pound deal plus add ons and will be loaned back to Leeds, to gain experience.

09 May 2013 22:54:54
More than 6 million
J

They need to make that offer a lot bigger than that. were talking a lot more than that. Stephen Kelly Reading to Leeds, Albert Adomah Bristol to Leeds, Lewin Nyatanga Bristol to Leeds, Jason Puncheon South Hampton to Leeds.

09 May 2013 21:52:33
Burton to sign Alex MacDonald from Burnley on a 2 year contract
Matt Patterson will also sign a new contract

Completely underwhelmed with MacDonald, good defensively but added very little going forward. Paterson has been oustanding this season and scored some of the best goals I have ever seen! Fingers crossed it's a lengthy contract.

No, anyone but him.

I hope Pato stays, but MacDonald didn't do enough for me.

09 May 2013 21:52:50
Sunderland have signed French defender Valentin Roberge for next season, he completed his medical today

09 May 2013 19:04:50
JR said there's going to be 4 or 5 BIG signings, but there is a lot of names going round ready to sign at the KM! The main 5 players are Billy Sharp, Sylvain Ebanks-Blake, Tom Lees, Frank Fielding and Grant McCann. The players which won't cost a lot or won't cost at all are: Marlon Pack, Jacques Maghoma, Simon Ferry, Kieran Duffy, Paul Dummett, Conor Newton, Dean Furman, Nicky Clarke, Johnny Dunleavy, Fabien Brandy and finally young Goalkeeper Lee Nicholls.

Paul Dummett and Newton look set to sign new contracts at Newcastle.

09 May 2013 21:38:21
Good source from within Barnsley confirmed that a couple of defenders are the main priority next season, earlier rumour regarding Eastham of Blackpool confirmed too. Another rumour that appears to be true from here is that Flicker close to agreeing 2 year deal

09 May 2013 21:32:26
Swansea looking to bring in Moses from chelsea

That would be a fantastic signing imo. But realistic because of price tag? I doubt.

I read it was on loan

Would love him but can't see it happening

Would like to see the lad here.

Got a feeling a loan deal will work but a permanent signing is very unlikely

09 May 2013 21:15:31

A very strong source has told me Charlton are in extensive transfer talks with James Vaughan from Norwich.

He's on holiday.

No chance pal.
Unless you really break for wage structure. He's looking for a Northern club ideally.
Want's to stay living in Liverpool.
His agent is trying for massive wages though so think if he leave Norwich it will be for one of the big spenders.

09 May 2013 20:32:47
Simon Ferry of Swindon could move to Carlisle ahead of MK Dons as he would like to move closer to Scotland

I wonder why anybody would choose us (MK Dons) right now. We're slipping off the pace and the prospect of promotion is moving further away.

Nice faith mate we had so many injuries this season it is unreal we was 2nd at christmas before we lost chadwick and gleeson! and the loan buys of harley and lines were panic buys as they were poo, if they stay fit this season with a decent striker and defender we will go up all day long :) MK ARMY!

I wish I shared your optimism but I believe things when I see them.

We're relying on a stupidly small squad and with the cost cutting that is being mooted by Winkelman and Robbo I just see a repeat of the same old story. No money = no promotion.

As the meerkat would say: simples!

Compared to most squads in the league mkdons is big look at Carlisle they have a squad of 17, 7 of them under 20 and only plan 3-5 more signings that's a average league 1 squad. not 25 players

Different person, I've been a season ticket holder for 5 years now, every year we have the best starting 11 and were unlucky with injuries, all we need is to kepp the current squad and get 4 to 5 more players for cover, don't give up faith, if your a true don youd stick by your team and cheer loader than anyone1 else, #MKTILLIDIE

I do stick with them, I do hope and pray that we go up. I just can't see how it will happen with the way the club is being run. If we lose 2/3 players to injury/suspension we're screwed, as last season just proved. We haven't got the depth to mount a serious challenge unless we're blessed with a lack of injuries. I also think the chairman needs to realise this and allow the manger a bit more wiggle room so he can strengthen th squad. We simply can't cope when we're without our better players. My expectation for next season is 10th.

I Don't understand football fans anymore, why would you support your team if you don't even want to get behind your team through thick and thing, I Agree we were unlucky with injuries but aside of that. Robbo has done brilliant for what little money he has had due to us investing almost all our money into The stadium. If you look at all the young players we have sold over the years you will understand that we aren't just a 1 dimensional club pumping money for quick success, MK is run the right way, we have 1 of the best stadiums in the league And we got everything there that if we were to get promoted we can sustain ourselves.

Well I think being marooned in League 1 is damaging for the club, crowds are too small and will not grow unless we go up. No crowds = no money unless there is a serious benefactor (Wigan anyone?). Winkelman simply can't/won't invest in squad depth due to the stadium. It's like owning a Ferrari with a lawn mower engine in it. Looks great but has nothing to power it!

Some of our fans seem to have very short memories, if Pete seems obsessed with getting the stadium sorted its with good reason. The whole cycle of how MK Dons came into being started with a lack of investment in a suitable stadium (and other infrastructure) whilst spending all the money chasing the dream! Would I like us to be in the Championship, yes, but at any cost, no. Pete is putting in place solid foundations with the stadium and hopefully this season the new training ground, all this will add up to a club in a position to seriously compete and maintain our position, not yoyoing between leagues.

"Some of our fans seem to have very short memories. "

A sensible post at last. I want a club my kids and their kids can watch in thirty years time. We'll get there eventually. Why the rush? Every year that passes is making us stronger and with a better chance of staying there.

09 May 2013 20:31:00
Rumours of albert adomah. Heard he's turned down swansea and hull to sign for Cardiff. Personally think cardiff already have better wingers than him. Fee to be 1 or 2 mil

Not good enough for the mighty swans.

Oh no how we will miss adomah turning us down not.

09 May 2013 22:08:55
Cardiff City have approached both Jordi Gomez and Carlos Vela. Gomez will be targeted should Wigan be relegated and reports that Carlos Vela would like a return to the premiership have Cardiff interested and have approached both players.

Adomah is good

Don't want Gomez getting on now. and the fact he played for SWANSEA!

Typical ^ So you wouldn't want players like Michu or Ashley Williams at Cardiff because they play for Swansea? That's foolish! I would love to see Ramsey down the Liberty

09 May 2013 20:24:09
Shrewsbury are looking to bring in up to 8 players, including Robbie Simpson, Dean Bouzanis (both recently released by Oldham, although the latter will only be if Joe Anyon leaves), Jimmy Ryan, Andy Barcham (recently released by Scunthorpe), Mark Duffy and Calvin Zola.

Hope you can afford his wages for Simpson, that's why we have let him go.

he did take a wage cut for one season but his wages were still one of the highest.

He;s not the sort of player who plays well all the time, he had a poor season and only turned up in the CUP games.

I hope they have plenty of money in the bank to pay wages for these players.

Calvin Zola & Mark Duffy are on GTs list. Don't see us being interested in the Oldham duo. Simpson has not done much of late & we already have 2 good goalies, with the promising Burton in reserve.

You might get Barcham but no chance with Ryan and Duffy. Dream on sunshine.

11 May 2013 21:46:35
So no Ben Davies he has signed for another year at Derby

09 May 2013 20:23:22
Aston Villa will sign Ikechi Anya from Watford.

False. Ikechi Anya is from Granada and you've just seen him on tele mate.

They can have him? Only a average player at best.

I soke to Ikechi Anya at the awards evening on Sunday and he will be staying with Watford

Good, he's not good enough for watford, why would villa want him?

Ikechi will only be a squad player next season at Watford

He was released from Northampton and Wycombe for a reason, he's very average. He has no final ball and struggles to beat his man. Villa are welcome to him.

Ikechi Anya is Watford'd most improved player since Christmas.

If you think he is poor you obviously don't understand football.

He will be joining Watford properly in the summer.

Ikechi has improved massively this second half of the season and will join Watford permenantely

Anya really isn't average. I go to home and away games. Ok, took a while to settle in at the beginning but as others have said, second half of the season he has been fantastic. Got a very good engine. Bulked up more. Speedy. Great feet. Final ball can be improved on. But will stay with watford as he is getting games and winning!

Please take Anya he's got no end product

Anya the guy who set up todays winner? Not that good! Are you sure your not watching watford ladies?

Football League Free Transfer market will kick into action next week:

Alan Judge - Blackburn/ Sheffield Wednesday
Simon Ferry - Bournemouth/Millwall
Scott Wagstaff - Ipswich/Barnsley
Will Grigg (will turn down contract offer) - Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday won't sign any of these two! We won't offer the money judge will want and Grigg will sign for a team that plays football as we just seem to want to kick it long!

Hope their true for swfc

Im a bournemouth fan and why do we need him?

10 May 2013 18:50:55
I'm an Ipswich fan and friends with Wagstaff's younger brother. He's quick and a hard-worker which is something that we haven't had much of on the wings in recent years, probs won't happen but it would be a good move.

09 May 2013 20:13:53
Swansea City are keeping tabs on Junior Hoilett and Adam Johnson.

No need for tabs, neither of them are quick enough to be going anywhere and certainly not to Swansea

Don't see Adam Johnson coming especially as he signed for Sunderland last season, would be a good signing if we could get Junior Hoillet though

09 May 2013 20:03:39
burton hoping to sign rene howe and shaun harrad in the coming days

Would like both if this is true however if we are signing howe zola must be going

Neither player would suit Burton's or GR's free flowing football. Howe has had his one season of scoring, he's a generally unfit striker and Harrad although half decent would see it as a step backwards. We need to do all we can to ensure Kee/Paterson?Zola all stay at the club. UTBs

No, no, no don't want either of them. Discipline is lacking in both players - GR won't stand for it!

Please no. We must do all we can to keep Zola/Maghoma/Paterson.

09 May 2013 19:49:27
Report in Dutch press suggests Jeremain Lens may be off to Southampton in the summer as the player has indicated he wants to leave PSV and would like to play in the Premier League.

Probably a reboot of rumours from last summer. Wouldn't be surprised it was an agent trying to increase interest

09 May 2013 20:00:28
Confirmed!
Middlesbrough are interested in signing Leigh griffiths from relegated wolves. Fee set to be around £3m. I think it would be a good signing, he's young and got a lot of potential.

And Boro have got this money from where?

Thought he was out of contract

He's been on loan at hibs for 2 years, done very well but I think he could be available for around 500k

Never happening. have nowhere near 3m to spend

Boro don't have £3M to spend that's why they are looking at out of contract players and loan signings.

Never going 2 happen boro don't have 3 mill 2 spend.

09 May 2013 23:13:46
3 mill I don't think so wolves will keep him not good enough for championship but be a legend in lower league

Were are we getting £3m from for an unproven striker i'd be happy if we had 3 million to do all our business never mind on just him

Lol, i'm a hibs seaso ticket holder and during the winter we could of got him for 185k now we can pay around 500k

He's not worth the 3 million we don't have

And where is the 3 million coming from!

Boro are going to get griffiths but the fee will be around 400k

You claim that boro don't have 3m, but don't forget we had a 5m bid accepted by Swansea for Danny graham, in January

No we didn't. Just because Sunderland got him for £5million what makes you think we bid that? As Tony Mowbray has said we bid Marvin Emnes plus around £1million

09 May 2013 19:59:16
David Mcnally has denied reports of Bradley Johnson Leaving the club at the end of the season.

09 May 2013 19:46:51
I have just found out myself and thought Derby County fans should be aware of this.

Watford's transfer embargo means that they are not allowed to sign any players this summer until the season starts. unless they do the loan signing method again they could find themselves with a squad of around 12 or 13 players. if the FA decide to ban the loop hole they exploited this season no matter if they are in the prem or not, they may need their players.

This means they might not be able to afford to sell Craig Forysth to derby simply. no matter the transfer price etc.

09 May 2013 21:52:45
That is simply not true.

We'd actually have a squad of 15 players which have played at least 10 games this season, without taking into account unneeded/loaned-out players such as Iwelumo, Forsyth, McGinn etc.

Stop reading the Daily Fail.

False. Watford can sign 1,000 player's under the embargo.

The point of the embargo is that we have to ask the FA before we make any signing. This is for them to check we are not spending beyond our mean's.

Which under the fantastic new owners we have, we will not be so there are no worries about the club making any signings.

The transfer embargo Watford are under is not like a normal embargo. If Watford want to sign someone, they have to get the league's and FA's permission. And the loophole everyone's talking about won't be closed, was watching something with three football league chairmen as guests, and they said any club would be stupid to close it, potential for other clubs to exploit

*sigh* even if there was a ban on the amount of foreign loans we would just take them from udinese/granada on free transfers, we are not under a transfer embargo that stops any dealings we just have to run everything by the fa for their scrutiny.

What nonsense. Any potential transfers need to be approved by the FL first

As some people have hinted at above, Watford's position with its sister clubs allows players to be transferred between the clubs on free transfers. Should the football league change the rules on foreign loan transfers it would disadvantage every team but Watford as it would remove other teams ability to take advantage of foreign loans but would leave Watford the option to get the same players on free transfers.

As mentioned by other posters, Watford's embargo is not like that of Portsmouth or other financially troubled teams, so hopefully this deal will go through. Forsyth proved himself as a solid left back with good attacking potential. Exactly the kind of player I would like to see replace Roberts and help us towards a play off push next season. I doubt Udinese. sorry I mean Watford, will need him next season.

I've just had a great idea. Watford should sign players on frees from udinese and Granada in the summer, try them out and then if we don't like them then give them back for free in January. gets around the closing loophole and we still get to test out players before we completely commit.

That's more costly. Stupid idea.

09 May 2013 19:49:41
Manager changes
Manchester United- David Moyes
Chelsea- Jose Mourinho
Everton- Mark Hughes
Manchester City- Manuel Pellegrini
Real Madrid- Carlo Ancelotti
PSG- Rafa Benitez

I would've agreed with all of this until the Everton one. Mark Hughes? Think they can do a lot better than that!

09 May 2013 22:01:01
Mark Hughes are you serious, Everton are not that stupid, cannot see anyone giving Hughes a job.

I think it will be Roberto Martinez

09 May 2013 19:35:56
Rafa Benitez considering Everton job

09 May 2013 18:49:47
Released Swindon Town midfielder Simon Ferry will be joining league one rivals MK Dons this summer. Karl Robinson has been in contact with him and will be having a meeting soon.

09 May 2013 18:49:22
Middlesbrough are tracking Forest Green Defender Eddie Oshodi, Tony Mowbray is thought to be making an offer in the region of £150,000. He was released from Watford in 2011, he is currently under contract till 2015.

They would more than likely be after Dale Bennett. Also released by Watford to Forest Green this season.

He's a good deffender to.

09 May 2013 18:44:16
Just to inform all reading fans, we are closing in on a signing will be in tomorrows reading post

Guly Do Prado from Southampton. Out of contract in the Summer and Adkins really rates him.

Who though?!

09 May 2013 18:39:51
Sanchez Watt is being lined up by Colchester United on a free. He is out of contract in the summer from Arsenal and having had a productive loan there before injury, he see's playing for Colchester as a good move.
Reliable source from inside CUFC

Would be lovely. if only it happened

Yes please! Had a fantastic impact during his brief loan spell last season. Would very much be a welcome addition! Although, highly unlikely given the club's small and decreasing budget.

09 May 2013 18:29:24
Bolton website confirms deals to be wrapped up for a defender and a striker by the weekend.

Rumours from inside the club are Trent Sainsbury is a done deal and the striker is none other than Jermaine Beckford for free!

[Not that impressed by Beckford but ill give him a chance. He will make a good squad player for what has defo been an underperforming strike force this season!. Can see this signing being time called Ngogs career at the Reebok too!]

Beckford just been confirmed on the bolton news website! Told you ha

There is no mention of any transfer activity on Bolton's website. I hope the rumour of the deal is done for Sainsbury is true, he would be a great signing can paly at right back or centre half, that's like two signings in one. But please not Beckford his best days are behind him not been at his best since leaving Leeds. {Ed003's Note - We don't usually allow free advertising for other websites but if you check the one he said you will find he is telling the truth }

Beckford is proven goalscorer.

Sainsbury deal has come to a halt, maybe because we can't offer prem football.

Also interest in Alex Baptiste who is out of contract at Blackpool. However lots of clubs and for him, can play rb or cb

09 May 2013 18:19:11
Huddersfield Town are looking to bring in

James Vaughan
Sylvan Ebanks-Blake
Lewin Nyatanga
Nathaniel Mendez-Laing
Keith Fahey
Adam Legzdins

Nyatanga has been offered a contract at Bristol City so he won't be joining you, more like John Stead!

Been offered a contract don't mean he will apcept it and jon stead and good enough for bristol and that's saying sumet

Whos says he's going to accept it

What so Nyatanga is going to play League 1 football rather than Championship football?

If that's how he looks at his career you can keep him looolz

We'd rather have Stead than Nyatanga. He was awful against us. Vaughany is high priority, then Nat Mendez-Liang is a great winger, but we have that in scanell

09 May 2013 18:09:09
Manchester United are to have a clear out this summer with Names such as Wayne Rooney, Nani, Vidic, Anderson and Valencia leading the list.

09 May 2013 18:08:23
Tranmere Rovers interested in Derby County midfielder Ben Davies and experienced target man Alan Lee recently released from Huddersfield Town.

Cannot see Ben Davies being true if honest. Far to good for League One and i'm sure he's under contract still? Alan Lee is possible though.

Derby County midfielder Ben Davies has signed a new one-year contract with the rams

09 May 2013 18:01:52
Cheltenham Town are close to agreeing a deal for Aldershot's Danny Hylton. Hylton scored 12 goals last season for the Shots.

At time of writing yates has not even meet with the chairman to discuss next years budget so would be supprised if any deals had been done yet.

Several Premier League clubs are taking a interest in Doncaster's youngsters. Harry Middleton, James Husband, Liam Wakefield and Jack Mckay are the ones being scouted.

Liverpool have enquired about Jack Mckay and arsenal are reigniting their interest in Liam Wakefield.

Why would we do any ins or outs when we don't have a manager! How thick can people get!

We can still be rumoured pal, with Flynn having a say in transfers still Etc

I don't think we would want to sell our best youth players coming through the club without a manager in place would be stupid

Man utd are interested in youth keeper callum myers

09 May 2013 17:55:50
Cheltenham manager Mark Yates is eyeing up a move for winger Joe Anyinsah who has been released by Bristol Rovers.

Awesome player on his day let's hope its true.

CTFC

09 May 2013 21:53:49
Rovers fan here.

Liked JA, as said on his day could be the best player in the league. Problem was he was only on his day once or twice with us, and it seems he has a fitness/injury problem.

If he does go to you I wish him all the best, brilliant player but it just never worked out.

Decent on his day, his day is very rare, very unfit, terrible hamstrings and oft. injured. As a Rovers fan, I can honestly say McGlashan and Mohammed are 10x the player.

I think some people are going a bit over the top here. He's nowhere near the best player in the league on his day but he can be very good when he wants to be. Problem is he doesn't have control over when that is. His dodgy hamstrings, lax attitude and fitness problems see to that.

He's not a very good finisher and he doesn't have the genuine skill or crossing ability to be a winger. He's better off up top but don't expect many goals from him. You'll come to like him I'm sure, there's something about him.

Have never rated Kaid Mohammed so can't say he's better than JA but JM might be.

Ahh ok thanks gasheads. well at least he'll be good back up to McGlashan and Mo.

All the best next season will always be thankful of you giving us big steve elliott. ;)

You basically said: he's a winger or striker who can't cross, can't finish, doesn't have skill, has bad hamstrings, lax attitude and fitness problems. But he isn't THAT bad!

I don't particularly rate Mohammed, but he's definitely better than Anyinsah.

No worries guys, still miss Steve Elliott!

He is that bad though (Anyinsah)! How many goals did he assist in his time with us? Answer: very very few.

How many did he score when with us? Very few!

Fellani won't go to United.

Baines will.

09 May 2013 17:51:11
Mark Hughes to be appointed Everton manager

Just because he appears talking about the job on tv News doesn't mean he's going to get the job?

09 May 2013 21:30:03
Mark Hughes has got to be the most overrated manager in English football. Count the amount of terrible signings and the really negative football he produces.

Off to Plymouth, trust

He said that he wants to go near his family so will not be Pompey but has held talks

His family are around the Northamptonshire area.
So if that's true, Oxford could be the likely destination. But it'll be down to who offers more money.

09 May 2013 17:41:08
Saints looking at agreeing a dead to bring Scott Sinclair to st marys, as they feel he matches what they are looking for! He is young, English and adds some much needed pace to the team. Puncheon, Lallana and Gaston all lack pace, he adds extra competition and extra numbers on the wide positions.

Could be possible, his younger brother plays for the saints academy

Norwich are reported to have accepted an offer of £4.2m from Swansea for mid fielder Bradley Johnson

09 May 2013 18:39:27
Norwich To sign hooper for 5 million

Sell him 4.2 million ain't bad.

1. McNally has categorically denied this
2. Some Norwich reporter has been in touch with reporters from Swansea and they have said "there is nothing in it"

The Daily Fail report says that Johnson has one year left on his contract. In fact he has two years left at the end of this season. Could well be the usual same old rubbish online papers come up with at this time of the season.

09 May 2013 21:14:55
David mcnally ( norwich chief executive ) denied this on social media earlier today saying it was completely un true

He signed a new contract in february pleging his future to the club

I'm a Norwich fan and I'm sorry but a reporter would know nothing about this anyway. He's not a bad player, don't see how he would fit in at swansea. Although he would add some bite to their midfield. 4.2m is a good price for us

Johnson has been our most improved player on last year and will probably be a runner up in player of the season awards. He gives us some teeth in midfield - doubt very much that we will let him go.

I don't think we need any more CM particularly if the rumour about canas is true.

Daily Mail said he had a year left to run, signed a new 4 year deal in feb. If they can't get that right then I can't think there's much truth. Also as a Norwich fan I have to say, he isn't good enough for Swansea. or us. Talking of Swansea, thanks for Monday night!

Your welcome for Monday! Just thank our one goal wonders Tiendalli and Shecter!

U mean Tuesday and your welcome

Bristol City looking at out of favour AFCB striker Matt Tubbs. Some of the fee will be the cancelling out of instalments owed to BCFC for the Pitman transfer in January. AFCB are due to pay around 25% of the fee still so this may be used as a bargaining chip for a lower fee for Tubbs.

Bristol City also looking at Forest Green defender Oshodi who O'Driscoll has been looking at whilst scouting City youngster Wes Burns during his loan spell. City will be aiming for value for money signings with sell on value this window.

Out of the BCFC retained list, Carey is expected to sign in the next few days for a heavily cut wage on a 1 year deal.

Heaton has offers from a few clubs as does Nyantagna with Peterborough, Doncaster and Barnsley watching the defender. Yeovil are also eyeing up Nyantagna if they get promoted and have had a scout at Ashton Gate recently.

Adomah, Cunningham and Sam Baldock are all expected to have offers made for them with Charlton, Burnley and Millwall looking at the former West Ham striker.

Pitman cost £60,000, not much of a bargaining chip.

Peterborough are not

Posh have had Nyatanga on loan and he was awful so not going to happen

Think you will find there was a promotion payment clause in the Pitman deal with the total figure being near to £200k if they remain in the championship next season.

10 May 2013 20:06:20
Wonder if the Tubbs rumour is true, Baldock might be coming to AFCB? Tubbs hasn't had a real chance at AFCB. Think EH just doesn't rate him. Think the £800,000 we spent was OTT. We got Matt Ritchie for £500,000!

Bristol city lost 10million plus got to balance books, fair play in use already in division one

09 May 2013 16:34:50
Wycombe set to confirm signing of strikers Jermaine Easter & Matt Green this week.

Hope this is true! Green used to be my girlfriends fave player, and Easter can be a top player on his day! {Ed003's Note - She must be getting excited now then}

09 May 2013 16:11:23
Notts county will sign in the transfer window the following players:
Scott Wagstaff
Matt Green
Marvin Morgan
Aaron McClean
Ashley Grimes
Steven Schumacher
Adam Chicksen

Alan Sheehan, Jeff Hughes, Joss Labadie, Yoann Arquin, Tyrell Waite, Greg Tempest, Curtis Thompson and Hayden Hollis will all sign new deals at the club.

Enoch Shounmi, Francois Zoko and Jamal Campbell-Ryce have been told they are free to leave whilst one if the goalkeepers will be sacrificed to free up some cash.

That was believeable until you said campbell ryce morgan and grimes

I doubt we will sign 4 strikers

How many forwards? we are more likely to play 442 so I doubt all of that list will join us

Those players wouldn't be too bad, although we are cutting our playing budged by 1/3.

We've already released a GK as Liam Mitchell has gone, although we could sell bialkowski to a championship club and play speiss.

Need to keep Campbell ryce to fill judges boots, similar player. Would love Matt green

Nigel Clough being targetted as next Everton manager! They want someone who will bring stability to the club, work on a shoestring and bring in quality budget lower league players and take no nonsense from so called club prima-donnas'. Board see him as ideal candidate having done 10 years with Burton albion and 4 years in Derby. Derby board will sanction talks and are targetting Chris Powell as next Derby Manager.

Clough will not be going to Everton, he hasn't got his qualifications to coach at in the Premier League. Besides, he's going to take us to the Premier League. COYR

Gosh. must rush out to the bookie's then. he has done well Cloughie to get the Everton gig with only a B License coaching badge. So pleased I saw his final game in charge.

No chance. Clough is too good for them.

How many managers in Prem league have top coaching licences? Check and you'll see most only have B or below! Clough to Everton with Craig Short going as assistant manager and Walter Smith being offered 'director of football' role.

09 May 2013 15:47:57
Scott Davies set to reject a contract off from Oxford united and sign a two year deal with Wycombe.

09 May 2013 19:40:14
Was always a Wycombe fan as a lad. No big loss for us. we've only offered him peanuts and prob only a 1 yr deal. Most fans don't want him to stay, although I think he'd be a good back up

09 May 2013 14:58:38
Danny East to join Portsmouth
Faye and Mcshane WILL be offered new deals
Curtis Davies (2m) and Fabian Frei (2.5m) will become Hull's first signings of the season.

Simion Jackson to middlesbrough

I can get behind this, he's always seemed to do well whenever he get's his chance. Norwich fans, any thoughts?

09 May 2013 17:17:59
Hull Citys first signing will be Burnley Right Back Trippier for around 1. 7M

Hull Signing Darren Bent

Is that to back up our player of the season elmo, or his almost as good replacement rosenior? Who writes these?

1.7 mill! We want at least 4Mill for him!

09 May 2013 17:17:06
Huddersfield Town are looking at Goalkeepers including:
Carl Ikeme (wolves)
Frankie Fielding (Derby)
Adam legzdins (Derby)

Frank available for 300k.

Yeah okay where's bryson in the startin XI

09 May 2013 17:13:55
Huddersfield Town are after free agents including:
Mark Yeates (Watford)
Sylvan Ebanks-Blake (Wolverhampton Wanderers)
Stephen Dobbie (Crystal Palace)
Craig Cathcart (Blackpool)
Carl Ikeme (Wolverhampton Wanderers)

Stephen Dobbie is on loan from brighton to palarse

Cathcart isn't a free agent and has had his option activated for another year by Blackpool

Yeates isn't going to be a free agent. You've just used that terrible website which is never updated.

Stephen Dobbie will sign a two year deal at Palace

Mark Yeates' contract is up on June 30th

Stephen Dobbie has signed a 2 year deal at CPFC

That's not true.

It definitely is true. It was part of the terms of the loan that he would sign a permanent deal.

Sorry I was responding to Yeates contract being up. : (

09 May 2013 17:08:43
Swansea will sign Bradley Johnson from Norwich at end of season. Fee around £4m.

Can't see it happening

Only if norwich go down which they won't

Howe anyinsah duke and akinfenwa all to join Southend in the next couple of days after being seen at roots hall! Promotion here we come! Also after boateng as player coach

09 May 2013 16:59:36
Derby County ins and outs:

Ins:

Lee Grant (already completed)
Chris Martin (already completed)
Alex Baptiste
Craig Forsyth
James Vaughan/Martyn Waghorn (If Vaughan falls through, expect Clough to go after Waghorn for the 3rd time)
A RM (Chris Humphries, Chris Burke, Jon Taylor and Alan Judge have all been mentioned)
Mark Connolly (CB from Crawley has also been linked with us according to SS)

Outs:

John Brayford (Unfortunately, he's come out and said he wants Prem football and won't renew contract until he's listened to other offers - sorry guys, looks like he's off : ()
Frank Fielding
Adam Legzdins
Theo Robinson
Nathan Tyson
James Bailey
James O'Connor
Tom Naylor
Ross Atkins
Callum Ball
Ben Davies (wants 1st team football which he won't get at Derby)

Will Hughes. Jeff Hendrick, Jamie Ward and Craig Bryson will not be going anywhere (contract negotiations began today with Bryson apparently)

So expect this line-up come the first game of next season:
Grant, Freeman, Keogh, Baptiste, Forsyth, New RM, Hughes, Hendrick, Ward, Martin, Vaughan

Play-offs, anyone? ;)

Jimmy O'connor won't go clough likes him as cover

Cloughie has said that O'Connor is one of the 7 players available to look for other clubs. Where is Bryson from that starting XI? Best midfielder in the current Derby team!

Wouldn't say Bryson was better than Hughes or Hendrick tbh. There were rumours of him leaving because he wouldn't be in the starting XI.

This is all very uninspiring. Derby will have cash to spend and I hope they do.

09 May 2013 16:53:35
Charlton have been linked with Jamie O'Hara and Dale Stephens may finally leave the Valley.
As an Addicks fan, I bloody hope he does.

Is dale Stephens that bad he had a lot of promise when he joined saints for that short amount of time. Though we might have missed something?

Clarkey saint

If villa are looking at this. He is awesome.

He was good up until he got interest from Villa. As for O'Hara, I've always liked him so not a bad signing.

O hara will not join for a fact, his wages are way too high. chris powell will sign an out of favour player like mark gower and conor henderson because both are free and on lower wages with a point to prove. o hara will do a ricardo fuller

09 May 2013 15:41:20
Kevin Davies ex Bolton striker is the Latics next signing apparently undergoing a medical

That's funny according to local press Super Kev says he is in no hurry to make his next move, so I doubt very much he will be joining the Latics.

Oldham or Wigan

09 May 2013 15:19:19
Simon Ferry refused to sign a new contract at Swindon. Oxford rumoured to be offering a good package as they have released a lot of top earners.

09 May 2013 18:05:14
Firstly he didn't refuse to sign a new contract he was released and no way would he go to a L2 club and especially Oxford.

09 May 2013 19:38:57
We could never afford Ferry if Swindon can't. even with there 50% reduction. He wouldn't join us unfortunately. he'll go to another league 1 club surely

09 May 2013 16:40:10
Norwich city will look to sign keisuke honda.

Hope so

09 May 2013 16:24:55
The major move for Norwich will be sacking Hughton whether they stay up or go down. If they stay up Di Matteo is being lined up as replacement.

As far as signings go, McNally does most of the business with targets from the manager. Expect to see the likes of some of these players turning up should Norwich survive;

Ricky Van Wolfswinkel (Already Confirmed)
Nathan Redmond
Martin Olsson
Lucas Biglia
Curtis Davies
Gary Hooper
Oussama Assaidi (Loan)
John Guidetti
Marco Van Ginkel

It has been confirmed by Mcnally at the beginning of the season that hughton is to stay despite our league next season, which is most likely to be the premier league. so please stop posting your wishes as fact, as you obviously don't have a clue.

thank god you're not on the board.

09 May 2013 16:11:52
Heard from a Watford executive that these moves could be on the cards if we go up.
Salah (fc basel)
Taarabt
Al Habsi
A. Kone
Phil Jones (loan)
Diaby (loan
Chalobah (loan)
Ed do any of these sound believable? {Ed027's Note - Chalobah maybe, the rest No

Why would man united send phil jones out on loan?

You forget, Watford/Udinese/Greneda (all same club) can't sign ANYONE at the moment

I see silly season is under way. None of those will be signed FACT!

Watford are also able to sign player's under the transfer embargo, we just have to ask the FA 1st and prove we are not spending beyond our mean's. Which with the new owners we won't be.

We're not going up so no, none of these sound remotely believable.

Watford will shop mainly amongst Udinese and Granada's back catalogue and from their vast scouting network.

If we can't loan players they will be free transfers to get around any new league rules.

If the embargo prevents that they will be released from contract and signed as free agents in Sept on the same day.

So the players Nani is likely to be thinking about will be the likes of Ranegie and Fabbrini who haven't quite been good enough to break into Udinese first team; and some choice picks from their youth team like Corrado.

Fabbrini looks decent, and the FL aren't closing the "loophole" anyway so its a non issue

Perhaps Chalobah, Taarabt and Al-Habsi considering we can still go up

09 May 2013 16:09:16
sam baldock to return to mk dons after the relegation of his current club bristol city

Mk dons can't afford him or any player that will demand a fee. They haven't got any money and Pete Winkleman has to massively cut the wage bill.

Your in the championship then??

I am suprised there is interest in Baldock, he hasn't exactly set the world on fire at Ashton Gate, he is under contract, and City paid or negotiated a value of close to £750k for him a year ago.

Who is going to pay that for a bloke who scored as many penalties as he did goals?

He's on 19k a week. We have 2k wage cap. He will be sold or contract terminated by mutual consent and go back to Championship football.

10 May 2013 20:47:30
Bear in mind, whatever Sam Baldocks' salary is at BCFC, because he signed since the last close season, his wages do NOT count towards our FFP figure while the wages paid to any replacement would count. It would be daft to sell him (uness he asks to leave) especially to another L1 side.

Yes but he wants to return to the dons

"Yes but he wants to return to the dons"

Maybe, but his bank manager, mortgage broker and agent will be telling him otherwise. It's a non-starter. Why would you go from £1M a year to £150K tops just out of sentiment?

09 May 2013 16:05:28
Reading are said to just have the one permeant target for summer which is Graham Dorrans of West Brom

Guthrie, Robson-Kanu, McAnuff, Shorey, Harte, Leigertwood, Pearce, Church, Federici will all leave however.

Pog will stay, McCarthy will stay, Karacan will stay

Jack Robinson rumoured to be coming in on loan for a season loan from Liverpool

Can't really see most of those leaving and don't see Pog or McCarthy staying either. Robinson would be good though

Guthrie won't go as he will be in our central mid partnership with Karacan. HRK won't go either. Tied into a long contract so will take a big offer for us to sell.

10 May 2013 00:34:57
Adkins said himself, we don't need to sell and there will be no mass exodus. Can't see any players leaving unless they are out of contract or not up to standard. Most of the players you have mentioned are likely to stay

Cant see dorrans going now

09 May 2013 15:59:12
Huddersfield are heavily kinked with recently released Birmingham midfielder Keith Fahay

Linked, sorry

Probably right first time lol

09 May 2013 15:13:25
Forget rumours of Crouch, Bony or Andy Carroll. West ham are lining up Gary Hooper and Jordan Rhodes to lead a two man attack next season

09 may 2013 14:55:28
kevin phillips to boro after his release from blackpool

That would be a great singing, great senior pro and out of contract?

Kp is retiring

09 May 2013 14:51:21
HOT OFF THE PRESS - Celtic are lining up Charlie Austin as replacement for Gary Hooper who is expected to join West ham in the summer for a fee around £5m. This also paves the way for Jordan Rhodes to join the hammers in a deal expected to be around £7m. They are also targetting Redmond, Olsson and Solly. Tomkins may be released to Toon should they stay up

09 May 2013 17:15:24
id be surprised if Austin went to the premier league in scotland its a really poor standard and he is a better player than that if he did go he will break the leagues all time scoring record in scotland. More likely to move to another championship team in England or a premier league team. He has proved himself in the championship and is still only 23 so to move to scotland now would be a bad move.
Id be surprised if a premier team from england don't come in for him and next stop after that full time cap for England.
The scottish premier league is the equivalent of our League 1 as stated by two ex Celtic players at my current club I support.

The scottish league may very well be of league 1 standard but nobody can deny that celtic whether you love them or hate them would easily be in the top half of the bpl if they were allowed in and even higher. Champions league football maybe the thing austin wants and that might persuade him to go to celtic.

Who s the two x Celtic players at your club?

09 May 2013 14:39:22
Alan Lee will sign a pay as you play deal with League 2 side Morecambe after his release from Huddersfield Town.

If only this was true, he'd be the ideal target man to play alongside Jack Redshaw

09 May 2013 14:39:13
Leyton Orients boss Russell Slade has been busy contacting players agents this week.
He's spoken to representatives of Joel Grant, Tamika Mkandawire, Adam Cunnington, Scott Wagstaff, Hogan Ephraim (loan move), Lee Miller.
Romain Vincelot is a shock target for Luton who have offered him twice what the O's have, but he won't want to go that low.
Jimmy Smith has been sounded out by Southend and Lee Cook is expecting a call from Real Madrid but will end up in Yeovils reserves.

I think your info on Lee Cook could be right, but the rest is not feasible.

For what i'm hearing with my inside information is that david mooney has rejected a contract deal and will sign for sheffield united, and we have had prelimary talks with ernie howe whos turned down a contract at torquay, as slade wants to partner howe with kevin lisbie, romain vincelot is close to signing a two year deal, and slade is keen to bring a playmaker to booster the midfield, but will hold talks with up to 6 players next week, watch this space.

09 May 2013 23:01:41
Slade may look at Tommy Miller released by Swindon Town today, Would fill the same sort of role as Martin Rowlands did last season.

Ernie Howe? have you got the name and the club right?
There WAS such a player who played centre half, but he's now over 60!
unless Russ is going for experience.

As for Mooney going to Sheffield United, there is no way our greatest asset would lower himself!

Yeovil don't have a reserve side.

There is plenty of gossip about Miller, but at 35 years of age would be too much of a gamble for money starved Orient. If he comes cheap though, and is not too injury prone, he would be a decent signing.

'' Ernie Howe '' at 60 has bags of experience, and could do a job, but I here that Southend have made enquiries too.
My guess is that the rumour was about Jermaine Renee Howe, who is proberbly an older brother.

watch this space

Lee miller wants to ether move to Scotland or stay at Carlisle he wants to be close to his 3 children as he lost his wife 1 year ago so it is unlikely lee miller will move to london

Did hear the same thing that rene howe of torquay has had talks with russed slade and looks likely he will sign 18 month deal as soon as early next week.

Why would Howe sign an 18 month contract? That makes no sense. You don't tend to sign contracts that expire in the middle of a season, which in this case would be January in the 2014/15 season.

09 May 2013 14:33:16
Simon Ferry to Carlisle United

Abbott is after a pacey winger, a pacey striker and a goalkeeper, he indicated he would be looking to sign 4 players so could the final one be a centre midfielder. We may of released 7 but we have the second year pros 2 of which are playing under 19 international football and the first year pros

This would be the best signing ever

Just the sort of player we need

Would be quality signing

09 May 2013 12:41:41
Portsmouth set to sign Sonny Bradley, Dave Winfield, Marlon Pack, Matty Blair, Tom Craddock and Paul Benson as they try and rebuild for next season in League Two. Gabor Gyepes and Therry Racon have already left the club a long with youngsters Alex Grant, George Colson and Dan Thompson.

Paul Benson, Really? we couldn't afford him on loan, and now we have Patrick Agemayne

09 May 2013 12:22:10
Watford are believed to be back in talks with Udinese over Luis Muriel. There has been much speculation, however Muriel has expressed if Watford achieve premiership status he will join the club.
(Source: My dads uncle works within the Watford development team)

09 May 2013 17:27:43
He seems to be big mates with Forestieri so this could be true

Muriel has been doing very well at Udinese recently, and it is most likely he will be part of their plans for next season

False. Muriel will either be sold in the summer or will stay as Udinese's strike partner for Di Natale.

09 May 2013 12:17:30
Watford are believed to be close to signing Italian legend Gianluca Zambrotta, who is currently a free agent. Casseti would be shifted permanently to centre back in order to accomodate Zambrotta. This is highly dependent upon whether Watford are playing in the premier league, where Zambrotta is apparently interested in playing in.
(source reliable contact within the club)

Heard this a couple of days ago now. didn't think much of it until he started training with the club since tuesday, would be great

Juventus>>>barcelona>>>milan>>>watford?

09 May 2013 12:28:54
Port Vale looking at signing Ricardo Fuller after he was released from Charlton. Fuller still has property in the area and is eager to move back to Staffordshire.

There is no way Fuller is dropping down that far. He still demands high wages for his regular holidays to Jamaica. I'd say a club like Swindon would nab him, if he was to drop out of the championship.

Why would he sign for Swindon? I side whos budget has been halved this season and is nowhere near his home. A local league 1 side will pick him up, could be Port Vale

Still think he's good enough for the Championship and certainly too good for a side just promoted from League Two.

10 May 2013 15:30:41
re, fuller not droping down that far?

since the mighty vale have just got promotion I believe that puts them in the same league as Swindon who are skint!!!!!!!!

10 May 2013 16:57:46
ricardo fuler for vale am a vale fan myself to have a donkey like him and ex stokie not a ideal player for vale in my book

12 May 2013 00:52:07
Port Vale are chasing ex-Swindon player Raffaele De Vita and Cheltenham captain Russ Penn

09 May 2013 14:20:32
Southampton are rumoured to be interested in Memphis Depay of PSV for a fee of £3 million

Bit of a step down from some of the rumours we've heard but then again, they can't all be near 10million pound signings.

Incredible potential though, great skills and he can shift. Love to see this one happen.

Can't help but think this is another person who's played too much football manager or FIFA! He's been a bit part player for the past year or so and with Jermain Lens saying he's going to leave in the summer this would give Depay more first team opportunities with PSV so I don't see him wanting to leave this early in his career

Never heard of this gentleman, but what a cool name. Worth buying if only to see it printed in the programme. However, like most saints fans, can't think much past Sunderland on the weekend, and Arsenal v Wigan on Tues. Then we start thinking about next year. Hopefully NC is way ahead of us.

09 May 2013 13:59:46
With Burton midfielder Jacques Maghoma set to sign for Middlesbrough for an undisclosed fee (around £500,000), the Brewers are preparing to smash their transfer record by signing Theo Robinson from Derby for £200,000.

Boro are set to land him, but it'll be for a free as he's out of contract.

Maghomas a free agent, contract run out so that's clearly made up

He's out of contract so Burton shall receive nothing.

Maghoma is out of contract so this is rubbish

09 May 2013 13:59:16
Oxford United are to sign Rene Howe on a free.

09 May 2013 13:45:26
Swindon Town Football Club Have Released 5 Players. Their Destinations Are Known:

Raffaele De Vita - MK Dons Football Club
Joe Devera - Gillingham Football Club
Simon Ferry - Southend United Football Club
Tommy Miller - Leyton Orient Football Club
Chris Smith - York City Football Club

There is no way ferry will drop down to league 2 to southend, he is wanted by mk dons & Bournemouth.

Devera and Ferry to Gillingham

These players are only going so Del Boy (JED) can get a new 3 wheeler. Look out for it in the carpark.

Us (southend) could never afford Ferry's wages, plus he is too good for league 2

Smith already plays for York? {Ed003's Note - Chris Smith isn't the most uncommon name,maybe there is more than one ;) }

09 May 2013 13:36:02
If Yeovil Town Football Club Lose The NPower League One Play-Off Final Against Brentford Football Club, Then Striker Paddy Madden Is Set To Leave For A Championship Club, Believed To Be One Of The Following:

Bournemouth AFC
Leeds United Football Club
Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club - Assuming They Stay Down
Doncaster Rovers Football Club

He has been poor latley

He set up the winning goal in semi suppose that's poor

As a Bournemouth fan, I don't want him, and I doubt we would go for him either

Yeah you're right. You don't need Madden. you've got Tubbs!

Can't see Bournemouth wanting him

Not scoring for a while doesn't make him poor! He has more to his game than scoring goals.

10 May 2013 09:06:35
Does anyone know anything about Matthias pogba. Too good to be a Crewe, brentford maybe, is their any possible signings for the bees?

Very bad player saw him a lot this season

If he's been released by swindon who are in league 1 then why would a championship club want him?

His contract has ran out and Swindon are in money trouble and can't afford his wages on a new contract

09 May 2013 13:39:42
Pat McCourt will be leaving Celtic and signing for Leeds. Liam Boyce of Cliftonville, the Northern Ireland player of the year with 36 goals this season, will be going to Hibs.

09 May 2013 13:27:53
Bristol Rovers Goalkeeper Scott Bevan and Forward Joe Anyinsah Are Both In Contract Talks With Southend United.

Southend Look Set To Release Paul Smith, (Who Is Set To Sign For York City) While They (Southend) Look To Bolster Their Attacking Options By Bringing In The Playmaker Anyinsah.

Adebayo Akinfenwa Is Also A Subject of Southend Boss Phil Brown's Interest. The Northampton Town Striker's Last Appearance For The Cobblers Could Be The NPower League Two Play-Off Final Against Bradford City.

The Bantams Look Set To Release Matt Duke After The Play-Off Final Amid Speculation He Is Coming To Southend. Duke Worked With Phil Brown At Hull And Wants To Link Up With Him Again

If you guys are serious about promotion next season then I would recommend you stay away from these two players.

Duke looked good this season, much better than smith for sure

Duke was poor this season in league games, only looked good on TV during our cup run, made quite a lot of mistakes, Southend can have him.

We have super Jonny McLaughlin!!!

Smith is still under contract for another year he won't be released and there seems to be a rumour every year about akinfenwa to Southend and it never happens

Smith Is Under Contract For Next Season, I Never Said He Wasn't.

Him Or Daniel Bentley Would Be Our 2nd Choice 'Keeper Behind Duke.

I, Myself, Saw Akinfenwa At Roots Hall Last Week. Got His Autograph Too, But He Refused To State If He Was Signing. He Said: "Wait And See Fella"

Davis may well go but he won't take those players with him

I hope whoever comes in will take max clayton what a future star he's going to be

Vincent Aboubakar to Hull for Free in summer. Talks ongoing.
Scott Sinclair on loan.
Also Weimann talks ongoing depending on villa surviving. 4-5 million.
Derby in talks with Fryatt.

With respect Weimann in all probability be staying at Villa a club he has enormous respect for and in the unlikely event he does move, it will most certainly not be to Hull or for such a paltry fee

09 May 2013 13:24:15
A s Scott Loach is not seen as a consistent enough keeper for a promotion push, MM's Tractor Boy scouts have identified their prime goalkeeping target. Expect a bid to go in for Kristoffer Nordfeldt, a Swedish keeper playing in Holland for SC Heerenveen. Will cost around £1.5m

Richard Wood signing for Barnsley on pre contract agreement from Coventry City. He wants a move back to Yorkshire ex Sheff WED.

Dont want him, not good enough to play in a lower divison, we were not good enough for him when he left Wed,

He is more than good enough for you
remember you are only barnsley
if it wasnt for our poor owners who are starving us we wouldn't be having this conversation and we wouldn't be below poor clubs like barnsley yes like I said barnsley
good luck woody great player who puts a good shift in hold back surely a better option than barnsley will come along as next season you could end up in league one as they will be relegated this new season and your better than that sorry our club couldn't afford to keep you
lets hope a take over happens and we climb to where we should be

look Barnsley are higher than use at the min

For a brief moment in history maybe. Played 40 plus years top flight football have you. I think not. Pusb.

09 May 2013 12:13:13
Millwall are set to hold talks with 62 year old Brian Eastick over the former Crystal Palace player being their new boss. Eastick has managed a number of the youth sides in the England setup and is wanting to get back into club management after a one year spell with Newport County.

Falkirk play great football one touch free flowing passing game, they should go for Steven Pressley as manger. Any championship side would do well bringing him in. The football there is a joy to watch, and he could maybe bring Sibbald and Fulton down to play.

09 May 2013 13:39:52
Total Rubbish do you seriously think they would go for someone like that I don't support Millwall and don't like them either but a total rubbish rumour.

09 May 2013 11:25:41
Genuine rumours:

Marlon Pack, Cheltenham to Sheffield Utd
Sean Dyche will take over at Millwall
Nicky Bailey, Middlesbrough to Charlton Athletic
Cole Skuse, Bristol City to Ipswich Town
Jacques Maghoma, Burton to Middlesbrough
Matt Paterson, Burton to Portsmouth
Sonny Bradley, Hull City to Portsmouth
Will Hughes, Derby County to Aston Villa

How many times Hughes is staying at Derby until one of the big 4/5 come knocking Aston Violla is not in his plans I can assure you!

09 May 2013 13:06:23
I'd have Marlon Pack at Blades, we need more goals from midfield and he fits the job description.

I can see Will Hughes leaving the lamb lovers for a lower end PL team where he is guaranteed first team football instead of sitting on the bench and playing in the reserves for a Champions League team.

Unfortunately for us (Derby fan) I believe Will Hughes may be leaving the club in the summer. I understand we're considering an £10m offer from Man City.

Heard Eddie Howe could be in line for Millwall. Skuse will go to Ipswich. Paterson to Portsmouth could be a good move. Pack will end up on the bench next season at Peterborough! Will Hughes is being courted by Villa, but heard Tottenham could be interested. Good stuff!

Andy Drury could be heading in the opposite direction to Skuse.

Bradley has already signed for Pompey along with Hull team mate Danny East

How can you have a genuine rumour? It's like saying a definite possibility!

09 May 2013 15:45:08
Nicky Bailey is NOT wanted by Charlton FACT!

Would be a good move for Hughes to join aston villa in all honesty.
They are looking good & always are ploughing youth through! and I've sure they'll only get stronger from here on in!

Eddie Howe has only just gone back to Bournemouth, who he also guided to promotion, due to family reasons so I'd very much doubt the chances of him moving to Millwall.

09 May 2013 11:21:47
Blackburn are looking to trim the wage bill before next term and Mortin Gamst Pederson one of the clubs high earners could be on his way out. Jordan Rhodes could also be allowed to leave if the right bid is received and Blackburn could then use the money to reduce current debts and for any player investments. This has put West Ham on alert with a view to a possible £8m bid for the Scottish Hitman

Somebody doesn't like Blackburn obviously

Cant see blackburn selling the guy who scored all thier goals last season

09 May 2013 10:16:25
Oldham are in talks with Jason Kennedy from Rochdale after he rejected anew contract. Oldham have had a bid of £20k turned down for Altrincham forward Damien Reeves

Damian Reeves has a clause in his contract which means if a league club comes in for him he can go on a free, nice try though.

Part timers (eg Reeves) are usually on 1 year contracts, which will either be about to, or will have, expired. So a bid sounds unlikely.

Simon Grayson has expressed his want for a right back as competition for fans favourite Keith Keane, a 6 figure bid has been made for Norwich full back/winger George Francombe. Declan Rudd is taking a holiday and will decide on his immediate future once he returns. Luke Ayling (Yeovil) has been subject to enquiry from PNE. Mansfeild forward Matt Green has been offered a trial for Preston's pre-season tour of Ireland. Neither Lee Novak, or his agent, have contacted Preston as of yet.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ayling won't go up north to join a league one team he'll only consider moving up there if its in the championship

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Paul Huntington has been talking to Ayling since the enquiry was made, also Jamie McAllister has been advising him, but I don't know any more details I'm afraid!

Ayling loves life in yeovil, so I can't see this happening!

George francombe? Not sure he's ready for that yet. You can have him on loan if you like.

Can't see Novak coming. He has been offered a new deal by Huddersfield and Birmingham are interested too. Both clubs will be able to offer much higher wages than PNE.

I can't imagine us paying a six figure, must be fairly decent though

09 May 2013 09:20:46
huddersfield to sign a bolton midfielder in the next week possibly holden or prately, also unfortunatly looking at church, in the end town will sign a mid a cb a st and a winger.

Andrews.

You haven't a cat in hells chance of signing Holden and I will be surprised if Pratley goes anywhere. You can have Andrews.

Holden was a class act, is he over his injury problems, if yes he would be a great signing but bet he is on big money even now.

How much is his taxi fare from Bolton to Huddersfield? - I'd happily pay for Andrews to go myself. Overrated doesn't even come close!

09 May 2013 09:34:51
Ricardo Fuller's agent yesterday contacted Peter Risdale and a possible trial is being organised for the Jamaican unless a reasonable offer from a championship club comes in before Preston return for pre season training.

Nice to see Ricardo doing Charity work in his old age

man utd are tying to buy Wolves striker don't know is name as I overheard some body's conversation at a recent presentation but I did hear them say that they would give him another season in the U21's and that a few other clubs were sniffing around.

McAlinden?

Didn't Moyes have a recent interest in the lad it was all over the footie news around xmas time, funny now he's gone to Manchester United they are now interested, looks like he's taken his little black book with him.

09 May 2013 09:08:09
Jon Stead could be set to team up with former team mate lee Johnson at Oldham athletic. Johnson is keen to add stead to his squad and stead is also keen on moving back up north to be closer to his family

Heard a rumour that Barnsley are
interested. This came from within the club

LJ knows a lot of players but his wages would be a stumbling block as we don;t waste our budget on players who are on say 10K a week.

09 May 2013 13:24:36
Stead was on 25k a year at Bristol city, even if he did come north I doubt he would want to take a tenth of that

Lewin Nyatanga of Bristol City out of contract and back to Barnsley on a free

Nyatanga has bizzarly been offered a new deal by Bristol City.

I am stunned as he has always looked awful.

We have realeased the ones who are going, so he looks like he is staying.

He has been offered a contract by Bristol City as he part of O'Driscolls plans

You should've taken your head out from under that rock of yours and look online yesterday he's been offered a new contract!

Doesn't meen he's going to sign the contract even if he's been offered one!

Its not nailed on that he will sign his deal, but they have all been in and discussed their contracts and offers and the ones that didn't want a deal have been announced.

Common sence suggests if he wasnt going to sign it he would have been announced as realeased with Skuse and Stead.

If he knows what's best for him he'll sign a new contract! He's not a championship quality defender! Worst distribution in football behind Liam Fontaine!

Bournemouth bid 750k for Lewis Dunk

Cook & Elphick are just fine. Big thanks to Brighton on that part.

I have heard Dunk was on Eddies Radar. We will end up being called Brighton's second team soon. The only disaster was marcos painter

Would more likely to be around 300k if true he out of contract next year and has only played 9 times this season

He's out of contract this summer

I think Cook and Elphick were 170k each, I'd pay no more than that for Dunk.

09 May 2013 00:22:04
A host of League One/Two teams are preparing to acquire the services of Scott Wagstaff.

AFC Wimbledon, MK Dons, Colchester United, Stevenage, Gillingham & Bradford are all considering offering a contract to Wagstaff.

Bradford were interested at start of season and PP rates him highly so it wouldn't surprise me if they were in for him

Weve got no chance unless ardley knows the boy himself or he wants to stay in london as all the above are playing at a higher standard

09 May 2013 08:21:24
Portsmouth strongly linked with dave winfield (cb) from Wycombe, Tom craddock (st) from Oxford, rene Howe (st) from Torquay, Matty Blair (LM) from York, matt tubbs (st) from Bournemouth, wes fogden (cm) from Bournemouth, alessane ndiaye (cm) from Hayes and yeading. They will also re-sign

Ertl
Rocha
Connolly
Sodje
Walker

Fantastic PUP

We'res your money gone

09 May 2013 13:53:38
You won't be signing Rene Howe, your signing Tom Craddock instead, infact he's just had a medical at Fratton Park.

You forgot to mention josh carmichael loan to pompey

09 May 2013 19:42:59
And Tom Craddock is not great. Really disliked by most OUFC fans. No effort, sulky, lazy, weak, so so slow, struggles with injury. But has a good touch and a clever player.
If plays every week, could score 12 league goals.

Edd why post a post {Ed003's Note - removed it mate I agree btw.}

Thanks Edd

Tom Craddock isn't bad, he's a good finisher, can be quick, but he's lazy. Get that out of his game and you'll have yourself a top L2 striker. Wilder couldn't do it at Oxford.

Fielding, Lego, Naylor, O'Connor, Bailey, Tyson and Robinson have been told that they are surplus and can find new clubs, also the chris Martin and been finalised and will be joining derby on July 1st

09 May 2013 06:42:08
Huddersfield Town will sign Marlon Pack on a free (although they'll have to pay compensation because of his age) from Cheltenham Town, he'll sign a 3 year contract.

Will require a six figure fee, he is one of the best young midfielders outside the prem.

Could be stiff competition to sign him, highly rated and out of contract with only a small development contribution fee. Town need further midfield options so could be a good prospect.

09 May 2013 06:16:35
Bolton looking at Matt Smith of Oldham. Good player who can bag a goal or two and can bring some aerial presence to the team following SKD's release!

'Good player' is a bit extreme.

Scoring in the CUp makes people think he's good.

Believe me he has so much to learn yet, lacks pace, good in the air and that's it if you want a team to play high balls all the time.

Think you would be disappointed if you think he's good. Look at his league goals stats, think its about 9 in 70 games.

We don't neede Smith we have Tom Eaves a much better striker than Smith.
Eaves will get his chance next season he is the only Bolton striker to hit double figures without wearing the white shirt. We do need a proven quality striker now Super Kev has gone and Smith ain't it.

Bolton definately need the big man little man combo!. Smiths a big man! haha

09 May 2013 02:18:01
Barnsley interested in Kirk Broadfoot, if he does not sign a new deal at Blackpool.

09 May 2013 01:49:45
Steaua București manager Laurențiu Reghecampf in talks with Wolves FC, wants to bring Raul Rusescu with him.

09 May 2013 00:13:10
Following the release of Sullivan, Taylor, Mambo, Kerkar, Wagstaff & Fuller Charlton are set to release 3 more players.

Bradley Wright-Phillips
Florent Rouamba
Courtney Harris

New Deals will be given to.

Andy Hughes
Cedric Evina
Danny Haynes
Leon Cort
Callum Harriott
Dorian Dervite

Charlton are in the market for 3 new players to strengthen the squad and if more players leave then get replacements.

09 May 2013 08:40:59
Cock 'n' Bull

Rouamba, has only just got a work permit and needs time to get fit, that was always the case and nothing has changed. CP always intended to play him next season as he has said every time he has been asked about the player.

There maybe some truth in the others but this is speculation not rumour!

He was great in the games he actually played for charlton, should of been played more! If played where he's strongest he will be one of the best league 1 players

Right so we bring Rouamba in, give him time to get a work permit then don't offer him a new deal? WTAF?! :/

09 May 2013 00:36:58
Gillingham are set to sign Marlon Pack from Cheltenham and Cody Macdonald from Coventy.
Other targets include:
Jack Midson
Bradley Wright-Phillips (Not to sure on this one myslef but has been a lot of talk about him)
Ryan Bertrand-Loan

Champions league winner Ryan Bertrand going gillingham of course he is!

Bertrand rubbish

09 May 2013 08:42:18
Scott Wagstaff would be a good signing for the Gills

Jack midson won't be good enough for league one, BWP is a good shout providing we can pay his wages.
marlon pack would be a good signing but gills could sign someone better.
cody mac is surely set to sign for us again though!
bertrand. he's premiership class so no chance on that,.

You won't get bertrand he is back up for cole at chelsea, pack is going to swindon, bwp is going to brentford when he's released.

Im a Gills Fan. but some people do post rubbish on here.

Ryan Bertrand onloan when he is earing 40k+ pw no chance even if he would drop to league 1 which again No chance!

Marlon Pack will not be signing for Gillingham I can assure you.

09 May 2013 00:12:38
Marty Blair will be confirmed as a Portsmouth FC player on Thursday.

Which Thursday is that then?

Free agent Michael Duberry close to signing for Exeter City

08 May 2013 23:52:14
Everton put Swansea's Laudrup at top of list to replace David Moyes

I can't see laudrup going to Everton. In terms of the size of the club it would be a step up, but I can see him giving swansea one more season. Besides, Everton will probably look for someone who offers more stability like Martinez. I wouldn't be surprised if laudrup goes back to Spain after swansea.

Told before he won't go yet

They will need £10 million to trigger his buy out clause

No offense to Everton intended by this at all but why would Laudrup want to go there?

I know Everton are a bigger club but he would have pretty much the same sort of budget for transfers and the 2 squads are fairly evenly matched. He'd be swapping like for like but would have to settle in again.

If I were him I'd stick with Swansea and keep building them the way he has already with astute purchases and atractive football. Moving to Everton would mean he'd have to spend the full summer adapting the squad to play a different style to what they've been used to for 11 years.

09 May 2013 12:24:11
One reason he could go - wages. Everton are likely to pay a lot more than Swansea.

He has always stated he doesn't need the money

But everton would not pay 10 million for him and plud he's going to retire from management after the swans. get some facts before you make things up

Yes but itll will take 10 mill for him

No chance are Everton going to pay 10 million to release him when they got an ageing squad and different football belief

Comes across as the type of guy who doesn't do it for money, think he's ok in that department!

With us, he's pretty much allowed to build HIS own team. The board will do their best to get any player he decides on that will fit in with the clubs ethos.

He's unlikely to have the board breathing down his neck in any way and he has stated on many occasions he is enjoying his job here.

I agree with the comment that we'll probably have next season with him before he leaves, even if the club are in a good position for the following season. But you never know, Swansea is full of loads that aren't from here and have falling in love with the place!

His agent has stated he will not leave, he's happy at swansea, its a very well run club that he's enjoying managing

Laudrup is very happy, board is very happy and fans are very happy. End of story. He will stay, that's for sure.

They can't afford 10 mill

My opinio is that, given Fellaini was the main power source of Everton. him (+coach) leaving the team will leave Everton weaker than Swansea who both will be playing euro league. he won't leave

08 May 2013 22:54:21
Rotherham are set to announce 3 signings shortly. The right back is Mark Little of Peterborough, The striker is Billy McKay of Inverness and the goalkeeper is Conrad Logan of Leicester who was on loan at Rotherham in 2011. Rotherham are also trying to sign Jamie Vardy on a season long loan and will offer a contract to Burton winger Jacques Maghoma and Cheltenham midfielder Marlon Pack. If all the above signings come off, which is likely, then Rotherhams transfer business will be done!

Hope the Logan rumour is false, Maghoma going to Boro, hope rest come off. UTM

No way will Logan becoming back! He was shocking when we first had him and the boo boys where on his back so that won't happen! Be happy with the other tho.

Can't see them coming off though and think pack will struggle to get in our team. He's a good player but we have a good midfield and its a pointless signing when we already have 5 centre midfields.

Keep the rumours coming boys and girls always makes me laugh when I have a look!

Pack wouldn't struggle in your team! he will be going to peterborough or sheffield united.

My mates a Sheffield united fan and he says there cutting wage bill again. Says he can't see any good players coming in and the fact people are linking the club with pack made him LOL
