Portsmouth are looking to rebuild their team after play-off disappointment against Oxford has confined them to another season in League One.
Portsmouth announced that Christian Burgess, Adam May, Brett Pitman, Matt Casey and Oli Hawkins are leaving the club.
Rumours are circulating that Ronan Curtis could be on his way out with a number of Championship clubs interested.
Portsmouth are said to be keen on bringing in Cameron McGeehan on a permanent deal after spending last season on loan from Barnsley.
They have also expressed an interest in Fleetwood striker Paddy Madden and Lincoln City midfielders Jorge Grant and Harry Anderson.
Pompey have said that they will be hunting for another centre back to replace the space being left by the departing Burgess.
